Guess who's back back back again
"Good morning, Cara Mia" Aro practically purrs, giving you a gentle kiss to the side of your head and interrupting the lesson you were giving Caius.
"Yes yes, brother. She's awake." the blonde dismisses, leaning in toward you as he continues "now what do these runes mean?" he asks. Delicately, ice cold fingertips trace and retrace the different patterns over your arm as he reads your notes in his head.
Marcus hums, making you jump at his previously unnoticed presence, and rests his chin atop your head. "I'm sure that one is to attract luck, right Tesoro?" his grin is shit-eating as he recalls what you told him, attempting to somehow impress you with it.
"Luck actually," his face falls into a sturdy pout and Aro instead takes on his grin. Caius instead ops for an amused huff. "Though many associate good luck as having good love in your life"
"I guess I must be luckiest of all"

migraines [aro volturi]
request: Hello!! I read some of your fics here and I really like them!! If you're still taking requests, could I ask for one with Aro and a human reader who suffers from bad migranes? Maybe where she finds his cold touch helps ease the pain?
requested by: anon
warnings: none
just a short one, thanks for requesting!
the lights were off, a glass of ice water sitting beside you on your bedside table. aro’s chambers were silent, though the silence didn’t make a single difference to your pounding head.
the ice cap on your head wasn’t helping either and you wanted to cry. migraines were terrible and yours always felt like they were on another level. you had gotten them for years and no matter what you did or tried, nothing ever seemed to help.
you lifted your hands to your covered eyes and pressed into them, hoping to get a bit of relief from the pressure points above your eyes. this always seemed to help a little bit, but never enough to bring full relief. your head felt full, the aching pain pressed firmly against all sides of your skull. you could feel it in your eyes and it was radiating down through your ears.
you would think after dealing with these for years, you would have found some relief but you could not be so lucky.
“mia cara?” aro’s soft voice murmured and you groaned quietly. even the quietness of his voice had your head aching. “another migraine?”
you lifted your hand from under your blanket to give him a thumbs up. you could hear his amused chuckle from your spot and felt the bed dip down as he laid beside you. “i know one simple solution for this.”
“no.” you told him, already knowing what he was going to say. while your migraines were miserable, you still wanted a few more human years. “not yet.”
aro hummed, his own cold hands moving under your ice cap to peel it off. you moaned in protest, the pounding instantly getting worse before aro’s hands replaced the cap.
his fingers pressed into those same pressure points and gently rubbed, his palms covering the rest of your face easily as his own chill began to slightly ebb away at the pain.
“oh.” you moaned quietly, finding much needed relief through his fingers. “that’s a little better.”
he did this everything but for some reason, you always forgot that he was the only one to bring you any relief. aro smiled at you softly and leaned down to place a kiss on your hairline. “sleep now, cara mia. the pain will be gone when you awake.”
with how gently he was massaging your skin and how quickly the pain was lessening, you believed him easily and quickly fell into a painless sleep.

Love ya byeee❤️❤️❤️
I love that you keep coming back lol, well here goes nothing!
↱ im not easily impressed but when I am then im impressed ↰
➘ summary : the volturi kings knew their mate was good at figureskating, but this good?! Damn aren’t they lucky
➘ the volturi x reader ; twilight x reader ; aro x reader x marcus x caius
Beneath the veil of night, the Volturi gardens were alive with a tranquility that contrasted with the kings' formidable reputation. Amongst the flora and moonlight, (Y/N) found herself in the company of Aro, Caius, and Marcus, the very embodiment of immortal power and allure.
Seated on an elegant stone bench, (Y/N) felt a contented sigh escape her lips as she gazed up at the stars. The bonds she shared with the Volturi kings were unlike any other, a symphony of emotions that surged through her immortal veins. And it was in these serene moments that she felt most alive, even though the world around her had ceased its heartbeat.
With a tender smile gracing her lips, (Y/N) turned her gaze toward her mates. "You know," she began, her voice soft like the rustling leaves, "before I became a vampire, I was a figure skater."
Her words, gentle as they were, caught the attention of the kings. Aro's inquisitive eyes locked onto her, Caius tilted his head ever so slightly, and Marcus, always the quiet observer, seemed to focus a fraction more on her words.
"You were a figure skater?" Aro mused, his lips curling into an intrigued smile. "How delightful! Please, do share your stories with us."
(Y/N)'s eyes lit up with a mixture of excitement and nostalgia. The memories of her human life as a figure skater were vivid, etched into her consciousness like a beautifully choreographed routine. "I spent hours gliding across the ice," she began, her voice carrying the cadence of a storyteller. "The rink was my sanctuary, and the ice felt like an extension of my being."
Caius leaned forward, his crimson eyes fixed on her with newfound interest. "Tell us more," he urged, his tone softer than usual.
As she recounted her stories, (Y/N) painted pictures with her words. She described the early morning frost that embraced the rink, the way the sunlight danced off the ice, and the sheer joy of pushing herself to perfect each spin and jump. She spoke of the ethereal connection she felt with the music, how it dictated her movements and evoked emotions she couldn't express otherwise.
Marcus, his eyes a storm of emotions, seemed to be captivated by her tales. For a man accustomed to the burden of centuries, her stories were a refreshing gust of wind that swept away the cobwebs of his thoughts.
Aro, true to his nature, interjected with curiosity. "Were there any particular moments that stood out to you?"
(Y/N) nodded, a fond smile gracing her lips. "There was one performance in particular. It was during a competition, and everything aligned perfectly. The music, the routine, and my movements—it was as if I had become one with the ice. I'll never forget the exhilaration of that moment."
Her mates listened intently, hanging onto her every word. They were drawn into the magic of her stories, experiencing the echoes of her past as if they were their own memories.
And as the night wore on, (Y/N) continued to share her experiences, laughter and wonder intertwining with the night breeze. With each tale, the bond between them deepened, as if the stories themselves were threads stitching their souls together.
Underneath the stars, the Volturi kings and their enchanting mate were no longer just rulers of the night. They were a constellation of beings, connected by the tapestry of past and present, each thread woven into the fabric of their eternity.
Several years had passed since the tumultuous days of (Y/N)'s transformation. The frenzied hunger of the newborn vampire had given way to control, her movements fluid and measured, her presence a serene echo in the hallowed halls of the Volturi castle. The bond between (Y/N) and the Volturi kings had deepened into an unbreakable connection, an intricately woven tapestry of love and shared experiences.
One afternoon, as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a golden glow across the castle grounds, (Y/N) found herself wandering through the gardens. She often sought solace in these quiet moments, allowing her thoughts to drift like petals on the breeze.
As if guided by an unseen force, her steps led her to the edge of the ornate fountain where Aro often meditated. His presence was a calming one, and she found herself drawn to him, the years etching lines of wisdom on his immortal visage.
"(Y/N)," Aro's melodious voice greeted her as he sensed her approach. He looked up from his contemplation, his dark eyes fixing on her with curiosity. "What thoughts occupy your mind today?"
(Y/N) took a deep breath, her gaze fixed on the water's surface. "I've been considering something," she began, her voice a soft melody in the twilight. "I've regained a measure of control over my thirst and instincts. And I've been thinking about something I used to love in my human life."
Aro's expression held a mixture of intrigue and encouragement. "Pray, do share."
With a steadying breath, (Y/N) spoke of her past as a figure skater, her words a gentle current in the conversation. She explained her desire to rekindle that passion, to once again glide on the ice, to feel the rush of the wind against her skin as she twirled and spun. And most of all, to share that part of her existence with the world.
"It's a competition, a figure skating contest," she added. "I believe I can blend in with humans, showcase my skills, and perhaps even win."
Caius, who had approached silently, folded his arms as he listened. "And you believe you can maintain control?" he inquired, his voice a deep rumble.
"I've practiced restraint for years now," (Y/N) replied with unwavering conviction. "I'm certain I can handle it."
Marcus, leaning against a nearby column, gazed at her with a quiet intensity. "Do you yearn for this, (Y/N)? Does your heart burn with the desire to step onto the ice once more?"
Her gaze met his, a shimmering pool of determination. "Yes," she said, her voice soft but resolute. "More than anything."
Aro's lips curled into a fond smile. "Then you have our support, dear (Y/N)."
Caius nodded in agreement. "If your heart drives you toward this, then you should pursue it."
Their words were a chorus of encouragement, a testament to the depth of their connection. As the sun dipped below the horizon, (Y/N) felt a surge of gratitude and determination. The Volturi kings, whose lives spanned centuries, understood the value of seizing the moment, even in their immortal existence.
"Thank you," (Y/N) said, her voice filled with sincerity. "Having your support means the world to me."
Underneath the fading light, in the heart of the Volturi's domain, a pact was forged. The echoes of past lives mingled with the present, and (Y/N) knew that her decision to chase her dreams would forever be intertwined with the love she shared with the kings who had stolen her heart.
The day of the figure skating contest dawned bright and crisp. The arena buzzed with excitement as the crowd settled into their seats, waiting for the event to begin. Backstage, (Y/N) stood amidst the hubbub, her heart a mixture of anticipation and nervous energy. Dressed in a shimmering costume that caught the light like a cascade of stars, she took a steadying breath.
The announcer's voice cut through the chatter, amplified by the speakers, "Is that (Y/N) (L/N) I spot in the crowd?"
Time seemed to freeze as all eyes turned towards her. The spotlight found her, bathing her in a gentle glow. Her heart raced, and a mix of emotions swirled within her: a touch of vulnerability, a hint of excitement, and a surge of determination.
"Holy shit, it is her!" The announcer's voice rang out, carrying the astonishment of the moment. "She's been missing from the spotlight for eight years now, but it seems our world-renowned star is back. This year's competition just got all that more interesting."
(Y/N)'s eyes met the spotlight, her resolve hardening. This was her moment, a chance to embrace her past and let her vampiric grace shine. As the music swelled, she stepped onto the ice, her skates gliding with an elegance that was both mesmerizing and supernatural.
With every twist and turn, (Y/N) moved with an otherworldly grace. Her body flowed like water, each movement executed with a precision that defied the bounds of human capability. As she twirled and spun, the audience held its breath, captivated by the ethereal performance unfolding before them.
And then, in a breathtaking moment, (Y/N) tapped into her vampire abilities. She spun faster, her form blurring as if time itself had lost its grip. Her body contorted with impossible flexibility, and she transitioned into moves that seemed to defy the very laws of physics. Gasps of awe and wonder echoed through the arena, mingling with the soft strains of the music.
Among the audience, (Y/N)'s mates, Aro, Caius, and Marcus, stood hidden amidst the crowd. Their eyes were locked onto her, their pride and love evident in the unspoken connection they shared. As she moved with a combination of elegance and supernatural skill, their hearts swelled with a mixture of emotions.
As the final notes of the music faded into silence, (Y/N) came to a graceful stop, her arms outstretched. The arena erupted in a thunderous ovation, the applause echoing off the walls in a symphony of admiration.
Backstage, her heart soared. She had poured her heart and soul into this performance, and the audience's reaction was a testament to the connection she had forged with them. The judges, too, rose to their feet, their expressions a mix of awe and appreciation.
When the results were announced, the tension was palpable. And then, with bated breath, the announcer declared, "First place goes to (Y/N) (L/N)!"
A tidal wave of cheers erupted as (Y/N) stood on the podium, a brilliant smile lighting up her face. The victory was sweet, but it was more than just winning a competition. It was a triumph over adversity, a testament to the enduring strength of the human spirit and the infinite possibilities of an immortal existence.
As the cheers washed over her, (Y/N) felt a warmth deep within her soul. She had reclaimed her place in the spotlight, not as a mere figure skater, but as an embodiment of her journey, her past, and her future. And as her mates emerged from the crowd to congratulate her, their eyes shining with pride, she knew that this moment would forever be etched into their shared history.
(Y/N) had instantly thrown thrown herself back into practicing figure skating with an intensity that matched the fire that had driven her throughout her life. Her graceful movements and daring spins had only grown more intricate and breathtaking with time. Her mates, Aro, Caius, and Marcus, watched with pride as she embraced this passion with the same fervor she had approached her immortal life.
One morning, the sun painted the sky in shades of rose and gold, (Y/N) found herself on the rink, the cool air kissing her skin as she spun with unparalleled grace. Lost in the rhythm of her movements, she didn't notice the small figure that darted onto the ice, their footsteps barely audible against the smooth surface.
"Mommy!” the child's voice rang out, filled with a mix of excitement and joy. With eyes wide and filled with wonder, they watched as their mother spun, one foot outstretched in a daring maneuver.
Startled by the voice, (Y/N) quickly stopped her spin, the momentum causing her to lose her balance. With a gasp, she stumbled, and her ankle twisted in an awkward angle. Pain shot through her leg, and she crumpled to the ice with a cry of discomfort.
Before she could even process what had happened, her mates were there, their presence swift and unwavering. Aro and Caius carefully lifted her, while Marcus scooped up their child, whose eyes were wide with concern.
"Mommy, are you okay?" the child asked, their voice trembling.
(Y/N) managed a reassuring smile through the pain. "I'm going to be alright, sweetheart," she replied, her voice gentle and soothing.
Marcus knelt down, his calm presence radiating comfort. "Your mommy is strong, little one. She'll heal in no time."
Aro's gaze was filled with worry, but he masked it with a gentle smile. "Let's get her inside and tend to her injuries."
Caius, always the pragmatic one, nodded in agreement. "We'll have you up and moving again soon."
With the utmost care, they carried (Y/N) back to the castle, her child walking alongside them, their small hand gripping Marcus's fingers tightly. As they settled (Y/N) on a comfortable couch, her ankle already swelling, she offered her child a reassuring smile.
"You know what, sweetheart?" she said softly. "Mommy's different from others, and that means I heal quickly. I'll be back on my feet before you know it."
“Like a superhero?!” asked her child.
“Just like a superhero.” She replied.
Hours passed, and true to her words, (Y/N)'s ankle mended at an astonishing rate. Her mates took turns hovering around her, fussing over her well-being. And just as she had promised, she was soon back on her feet, albeit gingerly.
The child watched with wide eyes, their amazement evident. "Mommy, you really healed so fast!"
(Y/N) chuckled, pulling them into a warm embrace. "Yes, darling, that's the magic of being a superhero.”
“Well I wanna be just like you when I’m grown up mommy!”
As the day drew to a close, (Y/N) found herself surrounded by her loving family, her mates and their adopted child. The incident served as a reminder that even in the midst of the extraordinary, they were bound by love and the simple joys of life. And as the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of pink and gold once more, (Y/N) held her family close, grateful for the journey that had led her to this moment of shared happiness.

What Disney princesses/characters would the Volturi turn and who would be leftover dessert?
Those gifted or with a personality that rendered them useful.
(For the sake of not having a too long post I'll just use the princesses I know decently well.)
Anna (Frozen) is very sweet and charismatic, though a poor judge of character and prone to rash decisions. She has no gifts. Aro feeds her to his guards*.
Ariel (Ariel) gave away her mermaid tail to pursue a man she barely knew. Aro bitterly mourns Ursula, who might actually have been useful to him, and is left to weigh the benefits of establishing diplomatic relations with Ariel's father. Ariel, already a part of the supernatural world, is not killed either way but she may become a bargaining chip.
Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) is blessed with enhanced beauty and an enthralling singing voice that works on humans and animals alike. If attacked, she and everyone nearby as well as her physical surroundings fall into an enchanted slumber that can't be disturbed until the danger has passed. Excellent defence mechanism: Aro recruits her.
Belle (The Beauty and the Beast) has a wonderful personality and likes books. Aro feeds her to his guards.
Cinderella (Cinderella) has a wonderful personality and an even more wonderful fairy godmother. Aro threatens her in the hopes of making the godmother come to her aid, and once she does he tries to recruit the godmother. Cinderella lives for as long as Aro needs a bargaining chip.
Elsa (Frozen) can create and control ice, though Elsa is prone to emotional outbursts and losing control. Aro recruits her, but keeps a close watch on her for the first few years in case she turns out to be a liability.
Mulan (Mulan) is an able soldier who understands duty and loyalty. People like her will always be useful to a man like Aro. Aro recruits her.
Rapunzel's power came from a flower, and it's a power she appears to have lost. A healing vampire could be immensely useful however, so Aro turns her and she gets a grace period where he tests her rigorously. Let us hope she retained some of that flower power.
Snow White (Snow White and the Seven Dwarves) is blessed with beauty that frankly sounds vampiric. The huntsman defies his orders for her, the dwarves protect her, animals obey her, and the prince falls in love from sight alone. Aro recruits her.
Bonus: Leia Organa (Star Wars**) has the Force. Aro recruits her.
*If Elsa is in the room, Aro may decide to spare Anna so he doesn't alienate Elsa. However, sparing couples in this sense does not seem to be Aro's modus operandi, whenever he encounters a gifted coven member he seems to spare that member only. Most likely, Elsa is told Anna was returned home and the reason she can't see her is because Aro would hate for her to lose control and kill her own sister. And look at that, Anna died in an accident shortly afterwards. Definitely can't see her now.
** As the Star Wars IP is now owned by Disney and Leia is the princess of Alderaan through her adoptive parents and the daughter of a former queen, I say she passes muster for a Disney Princess.
A few final thoughts:
Of all the princesses listed, I think Aurora and Leia are without doubt the most interesting to Aro. Aurora covers everything Snow White can do and would render Volterra virtually untouchable, while Leia could theoretically do anything at all.

A stranger’s hand
Pairing: Jane Volturi x female!reader
Warnings: None
Requested: @urdeadpo123
Request:
I know this might sound like a lot but could you do 17-25 of the angst category with alec, jane, or rose??
Prompt # 17
***
Though you were still human, you had never thought you’d be the mate of Jane Volturi.
There had been some small hints that should have been easy for you to pick up on, but those hints went right over your head and only the Cullens seemed to have picked up on them, but they don’t say anything in the start of it.
Mainly because they want you to figure it out on your own. Hint number one was when you agreed to follow your sister and Alice to go safe Edward from the Volturi. You hated crowds and normally, you would take Bella’s hand and let her lead the way, but once inside the castle of Volterra you were astonished nay how massive the castle was and you were just in awe of it at the same time nervous while feeling the panic settle in from the crowded hallways. It was so overwhelming to the point in which what you had thought was Bella’s hand you took hold of was in fact not. You mistakenly took hold of a stranger’s hand and this hand was very cold, it was like the temperature of death cold. That was when you realized your mistake of taking hold of Jane Volturi’s ice hand and tried pulling away with muttered apologies. But she wouldn’t let go, she seemed that she almost didn’t want to let go, let go of her surprisingly gentle grip as to not break your hand while Bella looked over at you in concern.
Bella was worried, afraid that something might happen to you now. She kept thinking of how she almost lost Edward, and how she couldn’t lose you, either. Jane seemed to love the touch of your warm blooded human hand, but she couldn’t admit that, out loud anyway. Holding your hand had Jane feeling sparks, but was angry at the same time because she did want to be falling for a human mate. She knew she couldn’t ignore the feelings for you, the second hint was when you entered the throne room of the massive castle and saw the Volturi kings sitting in their thrones, seemingly waiting for your arrival, which they were. These kings were supposedly the rulers of all vampires in the vampire world and you weren’t gonna lie, they were already intimidating. At this point, you wanted to be by your sister’s side, but Jane seemed to stand between you and the kings protectively.
It was her actions right than that made you miss the hint. Because those actions were not like Jane Volturi at all, those who know of her feared her of her gift, knowing what she was capable of. But she already knew she would never hurt you, you didn’t know it yet and wouldn’t until much later. Everyone in that room saw this but you, and it felt eerie feeling that you have all eyes on you, making you extremely uncomfortable than you already were. Looking slightly over Jane’s shoulder, you see Aro trying to command Jane to do something through motion and Jane refused, shaking her head. You don’t know it yet, but what Aro was asking for her to do was to pain you and Jane refused to do so which would later come with consequences. Instead, she seemed to have no problem complying to pain Edward instead and because you hated seeing your sister in such distress, you beg for it to stop, and it didn’t stop at first. When it did, it was when Bella asks for them to kill her instead, there was no way in hell you were about to let such a thing happen.
No way, no how.
This has gone too far now. Not wanting to see anyone else hurt, you make the vampires an offer, it was an offer that you didn’t want to make but if it mean saving lives, you were willing to comply and make that offer.
“No! Take me! Take me instead just let them go, please!” Just please don’t kill my sister!” You plea.
You watched as the three kings exchanged in quiet conversation before eventually agreeing to take you in and letting your loved ones go. It was a relief to watch them walk away unharmed as Bella cling into Edward before sparing you a sorrowful glance.
You continue to watch, still having been remaining by Jane’s side. That was when Aro started giving Jane orders again, this time in words instead of in motion.
“Jane, take your mate to your room and don’t let her out until further notice.” Aro demanded and Jane complied.
You feel her gentle yet firm grip on your hand as she lead the way.
It was heavily quiet the whole way there, which was probably a good thing considering the fact that at the moment, you were too scared to ask what was going to happen now, or what was going to happen to you. The both of you eventually made to her room, but before she allowed you inside, she called for Alec over. Looking at Alec, he was just as intimidating as the three kings.
“What is it?” He snapper from annoyance, causing you to jump back behind Jane.
That upset Jane and she got after Alec for scaring you.
“Don’t scare my mate! I need you to stand guard by my door in case she tries to make an escape attempt.”
Before Alec could comply, you scoffed in annoyance gaining Jane’s attention and he once warm red eyes that now turned cold, was now piercing sharply into your soul .
“What? Do you have something you want to say?” She asked harshly.
You almost don’t say anything, but Alec urged you on.
“Well?”
“Um… it’s just I don’t need a babysitter!! I’m (Y/A) years old!!!” You argue.
No one says anything as Jane pushes you inside her room, locking the door before you could get yourself up from off the floor.
All you did after that was sit on the corner of her bed, chin supporting your clenched fist as you let out a sigh in defeat. You were her mate, what did that actually mean? That was something you were going to find out no matter what.
With or without help.

Celebrating Christmas With the Volturi Kings
A/N: I am writing this as I enjoy my dinner on Christmas Eve. Merry Christmas everyone! (I would also like to note that I was heavily inspired by the posts of @volterran-wine.)
Warnings: None
Reader Is Gender Neutral~
Aro Volturi:
Aro is probably the most excited out of the kings. Why? Because he loves giving gifts to his family. And since his mate is celebrating Christmas with them, this is an opportunity to spoil them rotten.
The king spends a fair part of the day getting the gifts ready. Don't get me wrong, he could absolutely ask anyone to do it for him but he believes it's more personal to do it himself.
His ability surely helps him in deciding what to get. Don't forget that vampires can remember everything, so he definitely remembers all of his mate's thoughts. They looked at something on amazon and thought "Wow, I really want this.", then saved it and totally forgot about it later? Don't worry, Aro has got them covered. He already bought it and wrote them the most detailed love letter ever.
Now, Aro really wants to have a day off but if something urgent happens, he has to be away. Thankfully it's quite rare that he has work on Christmas.
So, when he has time, he takes his mate out. Whether they want to go to a luxurious restaurant, ice skating or just having fun in the snow, he will spend every minute with them. Although, he would prefer if they chose an activity that won't really make him seem unprofessional. He has a reputation to keep up after all.
Once the two of them get back from their date, he gathers the entire family and sits them down around a Christmas tree. He either lets Marcus play on the piano as the the rest of the family listens or invites him to chat with them (usually both).
As everyone probably guessed it, Aro invites his mate to a dance. Not just them, in fact, but the entire family. He would also love if his mate danced with the others as well. Nothing makes him happier than seeing them getting along with his family.
After the chatting and dancing, everyone starts giving gifts. The rest of the night is filled with laughs and smiles as everyone talks about the gifts they got.
Caius Volturi:
Caius is the type of person who just goes along with everyone's plans during Christmas. He loves being with his loved ones but doesn't necessarily enjoy having to buy gifts.
Don't get me wrong, he absolutely loves to give his mate anything they would like. What Caius likes about Christmas, however, is the fact that he gets to be vulnerable with his family for an entire night. Christmas is about the warmth of love for him, not about competing who bought the most expensive gift.
So he would most likely want to relax in the castle with his mate (and possibly some members of the family). He wouldn't say no to others joining but if his mate would like to be alone with him, he's totally fine with that.
Caius would tell them stories of how his family celebrated Christmas in the past. He even shows them paintings he's done about various celebrations throughout history.
I think he would quite enjoy watching a Christmas movie with his mate. Especially if it is about the importance of family and friends.
As Caius is usually on the go, Christmas time is when he can relax. Or at least what he calls relaxing. His plans usually get thrown out the window as soon as he can hear Aro's voice in the distance though. His mate should be ready to get dragged somewhere; I heard that Volterra looks quite nice with Christmas lights.
Once everyone is back in the castle, Caius can finally enjoy Christmas as he wants to. While Marcus plays on the piano, he slides over to his mate and takes their hand in his. When Marcus finishes, he turns to them and gives them a kiss.
Caius gifts his mate a new Christmas painting portraying the family, including them. This is his way of officially inviting them to be a part of his family.
Marcus Volturi:
Much like Caius, Marcus enjoys being with his family rather than giving gifts.
I feel like he would spend a part of the day away from his mate to honor Didyme. Maybe he goes to her memorial and pays his respect.
After that though, he joins his mate in their Christmas activities. He would appreciate activities around the castle rather than having to go out.
When he gets to be alone with them, he introduces the family's traditions to the mate. He talks about how he always plays a few pieces on the piano while the rest of the family listens; and he gives them a warning about Aro's habit of dancing with everyone.
He asks their mate how they celebrate Christmas. Whether they like a big event or just a small one with only their close relatives and friends?Their favorite songs that get them into the holiday mood? Do they have (or had if they were already turned into a vampire) a traditional food they eat on Christmas?
Marcus just really loves when his mate talks about small things that bring them joy. Like small traditions they find nostalgic. It reminds him of someone.
If his mate tries to ask what he will play that night, he just gives them a small smile and shakes his head.
Once the night falls and the family gathers, Marcus begins his performance. His mate might just recognize a few of their favorite pieces being amongst the ones he plays. However, there is a song that wasn't heard by anyone yet but him. He specifically wrote it for his mate or rather how they made him feel. That song made most of the family tear up.
After the celebration is done and they have retreated to their quarters, Marcus asks their opinion on that night and if they liked the song.

Hello sweety
Can I request the poly!volturi kings x reader that does figureskating? And maybe she falls?
Maybe it's a hobby you did before you met them. Or it could be a hobby you want to acquire after meeting them. All I know is the Kings aren't happy about it at all. No matter how cheerful Aro is, he is screaming inwardly. Caius frowned and refuses. Although Marcus doesn't want to admit it, he doesn't want you to be upset. Somehow (thanks to your long pleadings) I think you're convincing them. They will make sure you take all your safety precautions. They will follow you as you slide. If they are not with you, the high-level guards will be with you. While sliding, you suddenly lost your balance and crashed onto the ice. Your forehead started to bleed from the blow you received, and it left a mark on the ice. The kings helped you run and get up. You could hardly stand on your feet because your head was spinning. When you opened your eyes in the hospital, the Kings were right next to you. They didn't leave you until you got better. Don't think they'll ever let you slide again.

Portrait of a Volturi mate - Aro
I'm the human mate to an arrogant son-of-a-bitch who happens to be a vampire, and I could not love him more.
I ignorantly accepted a free tour of a very old castle of sorts while vacationing in Tuscany Italy, and nearly lost my life. How was I to know the group of tourists on this tour were tagged to be lunch to a bunch of vampires, me included. The doors were opened and we walked into the slaughterhouse, waiting for something magical to happen. For me it did.
The red eyes of a man I saw as so beautiful, it literally hurt my heart, focused on me and pulled me from the sudden and bloody fray with a burst of speed that made me dizzy. When he put me down in an outside corridor, I gazed at him, confused as hell. "What was that all about?" I cried out.
"This is the thanks I get for saving your life. I am Aro, leader of the Volturi, and you now belong to me."
Of course, when I heard those words, and looked into those ruby eyes, what else could I do. I fainted dead away.
When I woke up, I was lying on a bed, plush with velvet blankets and matching cushions. Red Eyes was looking down at me, an enigmatic grin on his otherwise flawless face. I jumped off the bed and headed for a door, only to find I was in a rather ornate bathroom. I left that room and went toward another door, only to find myself in a huge walk-in closet filled with clothes and accessories. I stomped my foot, angry as sin. "Damn, how do I get out of here?" I demanded. I saw one more door and ran for it, but Red Eyes beat me to it and blocked my way. "You are so effing fast," I accused him. All I got in return was a smirk.
"My dear, I meant what I said. You are mine, for all eternity. On the other hand..." He walked up to me and reached out with pale fingers, stroking my cheek. His fingertips were ice cold and I got goosebumps up and down my arms and back. "...I am yours as well."
"Is that supposed to make me happy?" I questioned, using my "unhappy glare" face all my friends knew. However, Red Eyes stepped back from me, seemingly confused.
"Your fate was sealed the moment you entered this castle. You're to be my mate, dear one."
Now I was the confused one. I backed up slowly until the backs of my legs hit a piece of furniture. I sat down on the sofa behind me and looked up at him with enquiring eyes. He obliged me and sat next to me.
"This is the home of the Volturi coven of vampires, and I am Aro, it's leader. When you entered the throne room, you were about to be devoured by one of my Guard, that is until I saved you. When I heard the beating of your heart, I knew why you were here."
When I felt his hand clasp mine, I didn't pull away. I didn't want to. "I suppose I should thank you for saving me, Aro. The rest I don't understand, I'm sorry."
"May I read you, my dear?" Without question, I let him hold my sweating hand, hoping he wouldn't notice. After a couple of minutes, he let it go and merely looked at me. "I understand now. To put it as simply as possible, I am your mate and this castle will be your home. Our fates are bound together."
I rose from the sofa and shook my head slowly. "This can't be." But even as I said the words, I knew he was right. I felt it in my heart. I wanted to touch him, but my instincts betrayed me and I ran for the door again.
He sped across the room and grabbed me by the arms, taking me into an iron-tight embrace. His eyes flashed while he bared his teeth at me. With one hand, he pulled my hair from my neck and I felt cold breath on my skin. His teeth scraped over my tender flesh until I stopped breathing. Then I heard him laugh. "I'm not going to harm you, dear heart. You are one very brave little human."
I was suddenly released, and when I pulled away from him, I swung my arm as if to hit him, but he caught my wrist, then shook his head. "That will hurt you more than me."
I looked him in the eyes and leaned into him, pressing my lips against his. My arms encircled his neck while I tasted him, felt his hard body against me. It all made sense to me now. It really did.
For his part, he joined in the kissing, running the tip of his tongue over my lower lip, his cool hands on my back. "It makes sense to me as well, little one."
I smiled at him. "You're not that much taller than me."
"True," he said. "But I could break you with one hand." There was no threat in the statement, only the truth.
And that is how I, a human, met a vampire who took me into his heart and home, and loved me. Sometimes we argue, neither of us willing to give in. We're both stubborn, but then we enjoy showing each other how much we need the other.
Aro can be an arrogant SOB, but he is my arrogant SOB, and no one else will ever have him.

What about Reader is a selective mute while the Volturi think she’s fully mute so she messes with them? Talking out of the blue and then not talking for weeks
𝖁𝖔𝖑𝖙𝖚𝖗𝖎
Im not doing any romantic pairing for this one, and also I think this is really funny - especially is all they say is absolute bs
Part 2
Aro, the only one privy to your opinion most of the time, doesn't even get much opportunity to use his tactile telepathy due to the full body coverage your clothes give you- even the gloves
The reason for that, however, is because if your going to have to put up with your selective mutism making it difficult to speak in the moments you really want to, you've also got to have a little bit of fun with it
And it's not like they can really blame you
That's why they've got to good a reading your body language, and typically communicate with you using yes or no questions so you could nod or shake your head.
But it's the first time youd spoken to them that gave you this idea in the first place
The library was dimly lit as you sat, relaxing after a job well done on your latest mission. It was then that Demetri, ever the conversationalist, walked through with a group of guards reminiscing on their human life.
They were discussing back and fourth about food they wished they could try, and food they miss having.
"It's a shame you just never had ice cream. It's the bees knees"
Cue demetri freaking the fuck out
That's when you started saying the absolute most random shit you could think of whenever you felt like you could speak, which wasn't often
It made Marcus smile once though
"The Egyptians believed the most significant thing you could do in your life is die" you said, rather confidently at that.
"you just spoke... HAVE YOU ALWAYS BEEN ABLE TO DO THAT??"
"maybe she doesn't talk so that she doesn't have to speak to you, dem'
Meanwhile Marcus can only chuckle, for once in his life looking forward to another time rather than lost in the past as she imaging the other kings reactions when they find out about this. It's rather fun.

broken bones [volturi kings]
description: Hii! Can you write poly volturi kings with a mate who broke her arm because i broke mine recently and i feel like shit. Thank you and you dont have to do this if you dont want to <33
requested by: anon
warnings: none
A heavy sigh escaped your mouth when the door to your shared rooms was opened, signaling the arrival of your three mates yet again. Don't get me wrong - you loved your kings with every piece of you but sometimes they were very, very overbearing.
You had only broken your arm, it wasn't like you were on your death bed!
While you couldn't say you didn't appreciate them and their constant care, you were still capable of doing most things, since thankfully your non-dominant arm was the one injured.
And still, when they each came into view carrying various things, you couldn't help but smile. Marcus was carrying an ice pack, having been told from the doctor that icing it at least once a day was good for the healing. Caius had a book in his hand as he had been set on keeping you company since the incident had occurred and reading to you was a favorite pastime of both of you. And Aro was carrying a glass of what seemed to be your favorite drink, as well as the pain killers you had been prescribed.
"I love you all." You cooed at them, not being able to help the way your heart warmed when they beamed back at you. "I really, really do."
"We love you just as much, my dear." Marcus leaned over you to place a kiss on your head before very gently lifting your arm off the pillow it was resting on to set the ice down. You set your cast back on top of the ice, thanking your mate as you did.
"You know you really don't have to do this for me." You told them as you took the glass from Aro as well as the pills. "I appreciate all your help but I do have one working arm."
"Very true, but you need all the rest you can get in order to heal." He told you, nodding in approval after you swallowed your meds. You held your glass close to you, savoring the taste of your favorite drink.
"And it gives us an excuse to spend a little extra time with you." Caius pointed out as he cuddled up next to you on the sofa and pulled your blanket around you tighter before he opened the book. "So quit your complaining and enjoy our company."
You couldn't help the laugh that bubbled out of you and you motioned for Aro and Marcus to join you on the couch with Caius. You reached to each of them to plant kisses on their cheeks before settling back down. "I'd never dare."

Hi darling
Can I request an oneshot about the poly!volturi kings x reader that does figureskating? And maybe she falls?
Thank you darling💖
A/N: Helloo!! Little update of my life first: my school is killing me and my mental health problems are hitting me again, so yippee me. (I had to just goggle how to wirte yipee in english xd) Hope you like this my friends!!
-S
+400 ish words
Okay in the simplest way Caius isn’t going to like it. I mean, I don’t think Caius really wants you to do anything that could cause even the slightest harm to you.
But let’s say you convince him.
You sat at the back of a dark SUV with Jane next to you and Felix driving the car.
It had been so long since you had gotten onto an ice, and you couldn’t help but be excited.
---
And it was just what you had been missing so much..., until it wasn’t anymore.
The next second your head banged to the cold ice.
You heard your name yelled but there was nothing you could respond to.
You pushed yourself off of the ice only to be met with a bloody print on the ice.
In a heartbeat, cold hands were holding you and you saw Jane’s face with your blurry vision.
Never had you seen Felix driving so fast and Jane panicking like you were actually dying.
And no matter how much you said that you were fine, the vampires would not believe you.
You held your extra shirt to your forehead that had been bleeding for the better part of an hour.
You had barely seen Jane using technology, but during that car drive Jane was glued to a phone researching if you were going to die.
---
Not to state the obvious but you survived.
But it was close that the kings would have killed Jane and Felix. And that’s not even talking about the stares they gave to the guards who were staring at your forehead as the shirt was soaking up with your blood.
And a doctor from the city was called in the castle just to make sure that you were doing fine.
And the diagnosis was a concussion.
Hell broke loose in the castle.
Aro holding your hand knowing everything and yelling to the guards to get you everything that your human heart could desire.
Caius sulking in a corner of your room and mumbling how he told you so (in fact the king is close to crying about worry).
And Marcus was trying to keep you calm and stopping his brothers form murdering anyone who said anything back.
Trust me this went on for weeks.

Love ya ❤️❤️❤️
❝the star of the show❞
✭ pairing : poly volturi kings x reader
✭ fandom : twilight
✭ summary : (Y/n) is a talented figure skater, and she shares a complex bond with three powerful vampires: Aro, Caius, and Marcus. As she prepares for her impending transformation into a vampire, they decide to grant her one last opportunity to showcase her skills on the ice in a final performance. However, their feelings of possessiveness and jealousy intensify as they watch her skate with another man during the show, leading to a gripping emotional conflict that tests the boundaries of their unconventional relationship.
✭ authors note : Ayo yall like that summary, I’ve gotten decent right?
✭ twilight masterlist 2
The ice rink was bathed in a soft, ethereal glow as (Y/n) glided gracefully across its surface. Her figure skating routine was a mesmerizing blend of elegance and power, a testament to years of dedication and passion. The audience watched in awe as she executed flawless jumps, spins, and twirls, her movements a dance of grace on the frozen stage.
In the dimly lit VIP section, three figures sat in silence, their eyes fixed on the enchanting performance. Aro, Caius, and Marcus, powerful vampires who had walked the earth for centuries, were bound not only by their immortality but also by their shared affection for (Y/n). They watched her every move with a mix of pride and anxiety, knowing that this was her last performance as a human.
(Y/n) had been living on borrowed time, caught in a twilight between her humanity and the vampiric world of her three companions. The decision to turn her into one of them had been made, but before the transformation, they had agreed to grant her one final moment of normalcy.
As (Y/n) gracefully glided across the ice, her eyes sparkled with determination and a hint of sadness. She had known this moment would come, the day when she'd leave behind the life she had known and embrace a new existence as a vampire. Yet, the love and connection she shared with Aro, Caius, and Marcus made the transition bittersweet.
Aro's keen eyes scanned the audience, and he couldn't help but notice a tall, striking man sitting in the front row. His strong arms were crossed, and his piercing gaze was locked onto (Y/n). Aro's brow furrowed slightly as he recognized the man as a fellow vampire, one who had expressed a keen interest in (Y/n) since her arrival in their coven.
Caius and Marcus, sensing Aro's unease, exchanged knowing glances. They too had noticed the newcomer, and their jealousy began to simmer beneath the surface. The trio had vowed to protect and cherish (Y/n), and the thought of another vampire vying for her attention stirred possessive instincts they had thought long dormant.
As the music swelled and (Y/n) performed a breathtaking combination of spins and jumps, the tension in the VIP section grew palpable. Aro, Caius, and Marcus could no longer contain their emotions, and their eyes locked onto the mysterious vampire in the front row.
The final note of the music echoed through the rink, and (Y/n) struck a graceful ending pose, her chest heaving with exertion. The audience erupted into applause, but her gaze remained fixed on the enigmatic vampire in the front row.
Little did she know that this final performance had not only captivated the human audience but had also ignited a dangerous spark of jealousy and rivalry among the three vampires who held her heart in their cold, immortal hands.
As the applause continued to echo through the ice rink, (Y/n) took her final bow, acknowledging the adoring crowd. The mysterious vampire in the front row stood and joined in the applause, his eyes never leaving her.
Back in the VIP section, Aro, Caius, and Marcus exchanged tense glances. The performance had been breathtaking, but the presence of the rival vampire left an uncomfortable knot in their immortal hearts.
(Y/n) made her way off the ice, her skates gliding effortlessly across the smooth surface. As she approached the VIP section, she was met with the intense, expectant gazes of her three vampire companions.
"A magnificent performance, my dear," Aro purred, his tone dripping with charm as he extended a hand to help her off the ice.
(Y/n) offered a weary smile, her heart heavy with the impending transformation that would sever her ties to the human world forever. "Thank you, Aro."
Caius and Marcus remained silent, their expressions tense and unreadable. Their thoughts were consumed by the stranger in the front row and the undeniable attraction he seemed to have for (Y/n).
Unaware of the brewing storm in the VIP section, (Y/n) excused herself to change out of her skating attire. The moment she disappeared behind the curtains, Aro, Caius, and Marcus huddled together in a private corner.
"We cannot allow another vampire to interfere in our affairs," Aro hissed, his usually composed demeanor fraying at the edges.
Caius, known for his quick temper, clenched his fists. "This newcomer seems intent on claiming (Y/n) for himself. We must put an end to this."
Marcus, the most contemplative of the trio, spoke up, his voice measured. "We've promised her one final night of normalcy. We cannot act rashly. Let us observe and gather more information."
Reluctantly, Aro and Caius agreed to Marcus's suggestion, though their jealousy and protective instincts continued to burn within them.
(Y/n) returned, dressed in a simple, elegant gown, her hair cascading in waves around her shoulders. She rejoined the trio, sensing the tension that hung in the air.
"Is something wrong?" she asked, her concern evident.
Aro forced a smile. "Nothing to be concerned about, my dear. We were merely discussing some matters of the coven."
(Y/n) nodded, though she couldn't shake the feeling that something had shifted. The presence of the rival vampire had cast a shadow over what was supposed to be her final night as a human.
As the evening wore on, Aro, Caius, and Marcus couldn't help but keep a watchful eye on the stranger in the front row. The rivalry that had been ignited threatened to consume them, and the complex bond they shared with (Y/n) hung in the balance.
The atmosphere in the VIP section remained charged with tension as the evening progressed. (Y/n) tried her best to enjoy the festivities surrounding her final performance, but the lingering presence of the mysterious vampire continued to cast a shadow over the night.
Aro, Caius, and Marcus, despite their attempts to stay composed, couldn't help but feel a growing unease. They watched as the rival vampire, whose name remained unknown to them, approached (Y/n) with a confident stride.
(Y/n) greeted him with a polite smile, unaware of the invisible battle of wills taking place among her vampire companions.
"Congratulations on your stunning performance," the rival vampire said, his voice smooth and charismatic. "I must say, I've never seen such grace and beauty on the ice."
(Y/n) blushed at the compliment, her heart fluttering. "Thank you. It's a bittersweet night for me, as it's my last performance before... well, before a significant change in my life."
The stranger's eyes locked onto hers, and for a moment, there was an unspoken connection between them. Aro, Caius, and Marcus watched with growing unease as the conversation continued, their possessiveness fueling their internal turmoil.
"Change can be both daunting and exhilarating," the rival vampire replied cryptically, his gaze never wavering. "But sometimes, it opens doors to unimaginable experiences."
(Y/n) was intrigued by his words, and a part of her couldn't help but be drawn to the enigmatic newcomer. He seemed to understand the complexities of her situation, something she hadn't expected from a stranger.
Meanwhile, Aro, Caius, and Marcus exchanged frantic, silent communication. Their jealousy had transformed into a deep-rooted fear that this vampire could steal (Y/n) away from them, disrupting the fragile balance they had maintained.
As the night wore on, (Y/n) continued to engage in conversation with the rival vampire. They shared stories, laughter, and moments that felt oddly intimate, leaving her both enchanted and conflicted.
The tension among the trio of vampires reached its breaking point. Aro, his eyes flashing with a mix of anger and desperation, stood up abruptly and approached (Y/n) and the rival vampire.
"My dear, it's time for us to depart," he said, his tone cold and final.
(Y/n) blinked in surprise, torn between her connection with the newcomer and her loyalty to Aro, Caius, and Marcus.
The rival vampire nodded politely and stepped back, his eyes never leaving (Y/n). "Until we meet again."
Aro, Caius, and Marcus escorted (Y/n) away from the rival vampire, their grip on her both physical and metaphorical. They couldn't allow anyone, not even a charismatic rival, to come between them and the woman they had grown to love.
As they left the event, (Y/n) glanced back at the stranger, a sense of longing and curiosity tugging at her heart.
In the days that followed the memorable night at the ice rink, (Y/n) found herself torn between her growing connection with the mysterious rival vampire and her unwavering loyalty to Aro, Caius, and Marcus. Each moment she spent with the newcomer ignited a spark of curiosity and attraction, and she couldn't deny the profound effect he had on her.
Meanwhile, the three powerful vampires were consumed by jealousy and fear, unable to shake the feeling that their complex bond with (Y/n) was slipping away. They had protected her since coming about her, and the thought of losing her to another vampire was unbearable.
The day of (Y/n)'s transformation into a vampire arrived with a mixture of anticipation and apprehension. She had chosen to undergo the change willingly, knowing that it was the only way to be with the three vampires she loved. They had made her feel special, cherished, and she couldn't imagine her life without them.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, (Y/n) stood in a secluded room within their grand estate, surrounded by Aro, Caius, and Marcus. The newcomer was conspicuously absent, as he had respected their wishes not to intrude upon this significant moment.
Aro, the leader of their coven, stepped forward, his dark eyes reflecting both pride and sorrow. "My dear (Y/n), are you certain of your choice? Once this transformation begins, there is no turning back."
(Y/n) nodded, her voice steady but her heart racing. "I've never been more certain of anything in my life. I want to be with all of you, no matter the cost."
With that, Aro, Caius, and Marcus encircled her, their cold, marble-like hands gently touching her skin. They closed their eyes in concentration, and the process of transforming her into a vampire began.
A rush of sensations flooded (Y/n)'s senses as her body underwent a profound metamorphosis. The pain was intense, but she clenched her teeth and endured it, knowing that this was the price she had to pay for eternity with the ones she loved.
Hours passed, and finally, the transformation was complete. (Y/n) opened her eyes to find herself surrounded by her vampire companions, their expressions a mixture of relief and affection.
Caius, his voice filled with emotion, spoke first. "You are now one of us, (Y/n). Welcome to immortality."
Tears glistened in (Y/n)'s eyes as she embraced each of them in turn. She had made her choice, and she had no regrets.
In the weeks that followed, (Y/n) adjusted to her new existence as a vampire, learning to control her newfound powers and cravings. The mysterious rival vampire, though never forgotten, faded into the background as she focused on her life with Aro, Caius, and Marcus.
But fate has a way of weaving unexpected threads into the fabric of our lives. One day, as (Y/n) explored the coven's sprawling estate, she stumbled upon a hidden chamber. Inside, she found a portrait of the mysterious vampire, his eyes hauntingly familiar.
Her heart raced as she realized the truth: the enigmatic newcomer was not just a rival but a figure from her past, a connection that would challenge the bonds she had forged with Aro, Caius, and Marcus.
As she stared at the portrait, a new chapter in their complicated story began, one filled with secrets, revelations, and a love that transcended time and immortality.

La sparizione - chapter eight
Summary: Plagued by the ghosts of her past, Riona has hidden away for centuries. That is until the call for help of a certain seer finds her and begs her to save her brother. Not knowing how her life will change, she finds her way to Volterra, directly in front of the leaders of the Volturi.
Trigger Warning: Violence, SA, blood, Death of Children, Murder, just some nasty things
<<<chapter seven chapter nine>>>
"So, what was it that you wanted to talk to us about, cara?", Aro asks as he takes a seat on his throne. If vampires could be tired then I would almost think he needs a good nights sleep. His brothers antics must be rather exhausting to him.
"As I said, I want to give all three of you a chance.", I start speaking, letting my eyes wander between the three kings.
"But I can only do that if you are willing to give me a chance too. I do understand that you have duties but keeping me locked up in a room so I have to wait until you finish your work is no way of handling this."
My voice must sound quiet harsh because I can see Marcus grimace at me mentioning how they have been treating me. I put a soft smile on to let them, and espcially him, know that it am not angry anymore.
"You are right, cara. We have been treating you poorly.", Aro says. "We were not prepared for your arrival. Not that we aren't happy to finally have you with us, afterall we have been waiting for you since decades. But it was very sudden and our schedule is thight. We are trying our best mia cara."
I shake my head as I take a few steps towards them. Do they really think it wasn't a sudden change for me too? I left my home thinking I would be back in a couple of days. Now I'm supposed to be staying here, with them, forever.
The thought alone scares me to death.
"Aro, you three are not alone in this. This is a big change for me too.", I try to explain. "I never planned on getting close to anyone, let alone share a bond. It is sudden and it scares me quiet a bit. But I would like to try."
A feeling of warmth takes over me, like the rays of a sun.
My eyes leave Aro to look at the imortals next to him and I see both of them wearing a soft smile. Marcus especially seems touched at my words. He truly does have a tender and sensitive soul. I can tell that all he has said and done until know has been to make me feel at peace. And it did work, I must say. I am glad that my words do have a positive effect on him. I never wanted to make him feel bad with my actions, not just because of our bond but also because he does deserve happiness.
"You, my dear, are truly magnificent.", Aro whispers and so makes me turn my attention back to him. He is gazing at me with pure adoration and if only I would still have blood running through my veins then I could feel the warmth in my cheeks.
Again I can see the twitch in his fingers as he wishes to touch me. But I know he will not do so as long as I do not give him permisson.
I do not think that he yearns to touch me to see my thoughs. There is a whole other reason. I am sure he does feel the same as I do. The tingle that I feel in my fingers, the strange pull towards him and his brothers. I yearn to be close to them. To feel their ice cold skin, to run my hands through their silky hair, to engulf myself in their scent.
But not yet. Just not yet.
"I only wish for us to not perish in agony."
As I sit in the library I take in the smell of the ancient books surrounding me and the sweetness of the blood which stands in a wine glass on the table next to me. Aro has made sure the one of the guards would get me a whole carafe so I could still my thirst that had only been growing stronger. The burning in my throat is now way more bearable, though it is still there. That is the thing about being immortal. The thirst never fully goes away.
In my hands I hold an old book, containing the history of Voltera. Of course it is written in italian and understanding those old texts is rather difficult but one can try. Some words I've read or heard before so I can make out what is written.
The kings and I have come to an agreement. I give them a fair chance. All of them.
Therefor I will spend an equal ammount of time with each one of them, getting to know them and trying to also let them get to know me. It will be hard to actually let someone into my life, letting them learn about me.
For now I decided to let them get done with their paperwork, not wanting to distract them in order for them to get things done. I know what kind of effect I have on them, they have the same effect on me afterall.
I take my eyes of the book and look up, over to the giant standing in the corner of the room. Felix is trying to vanish in the shadow to give me the privacy I so desperately wish for.
This castle has eyes and ears on every corner and it is irritating.
But it isn't his fault. I know the kings have given him the duty to protect me from every danger that may lie in this castle. Not that I needed it but it makes them feel more comfortable.
Felix eyes are advertet, not daring to look me in the eyes when he for sure has noticed my gaze on him.
I sight and close the book, placing it on the table next to me. I take the glass and swirl the blood in it as if it was the finest wine one could buy with money.
"Felix.", I call out. His head snaps up and his eyes meet mine for only a second before he looks at the ground again.
"Yes, my lady?", he asks, looking like a kicked puppy as he does so. A smile spreads on my face.
"Don't stand there and act like you are a statue. Come over here and have a seat."
Felix shakes his head. "This would be rather inapropriate, I am on duty afterall.", he explains. I furrow my eyebrows at him, sighting.
"Your duty is it to protect me and I am pretty sure you can do this over here aswell.", I speak. He still doesn't look up at me seemingly unsure on how to act in the current situation.
"What if I order you to take a seat?", I ask now, quirking my right brow. It takes a moment for him to answer. His mouth opens and he looks at me directly now.
"Apologize my boldness, my lady, but I don't think I have to obey your orders.", he speaks carefully.
He is right. He is serving his masters, the kings. Me being bonded to them doesn't change anything about that. His loyality doesn't apply to me. But I could play a little game if I wanted to.
"True, although I'm sure your masters would be not very pleased if they find out you denied me my wish. Or am I wrong, Felix?" Oh how interesting, now hs getting sweaty. Or at least he would if he could.
A smirk displays itself on his face. "You're making this very difficult for me, my lady."
"Truly sorry about that, Felix. But I do not like being watched like an animal in a zoo. So take a seat so I at least can pretend we're two old collegues just having a nice talk.", I apologize although I do not really feel any kind of remorse. Surely the kings won't punish him for this.
Almost painfully slow he takes a seat on the far end of the couch, as far away from me as possible. He does not seem to happy about the situation he is in.
"So, forgive my curiosity but I must ask: What brings you here, to the Volturi? Is it the thrill of being their executioner? The power?"
His ruby eyes shot up to me, a smirk on his lips.
"Oh yes the power truly is enticing. But that is not it. Not entirely at least.", he speaks. I quirk my brows, wanting to know more.
"Safety, my lady. You cannot deny that staying with the Volturi isn't somewhat a way of securing oneself a spot in all eternity."
"Ah yes, eternity. The addicting sweet taste of an everlasting life.", I sight. "Some people would say it gets boring. Maybe it does, if you're alone that is."
Felix watches me curiously. Daring enough to gaze upon me.
"But you are not alone. Or not anymore that is.", he speaks after a while of watching me carefuly. I chuckle and look at him, our eyes meeting and for a second I thought he would look away but he stays unwavering.
"I learned to enjoy being lonesome.", I explain. "Being around others always ends up hurting someone. I tried to spend my eternity with other people but in the end something always happened. So I decided a very long time ago to stay by myself."
Felix eyebrows furrow. His eyes leave mine and fixade something in the far distance.
"So, does it scare you? Having to suddenly be surrounded by so many others?"
He is asking the question I have been thinking about since hours. It is a strange feeling, being surrounded by so many people, mortals just as immortals. But does it scare me? I'm not sure.
"It isn't others that scare me. It's what could happen. That is what truly scares me.", I answer and it feels like the right thing to say.
The gentle giant turns himself to me, his body moving forward only slightly.
"What is it that could happen, my lady?" His eyes glimmer with curiousity.
I force myself to smile as to not give away how sad this topic truly sorrowful this makes me feel.
"Heartbreak."

Another preview for ch.11 of mm because I rolled my ankle trick or treating with my kid and now I'm behind schedule for everything:
My head is finally clear enough and not quite so consumed with him that I can finally take in my surroundings. The room we’re in is made of pristine white marble and accented with gold filigree. In the dead center of the room sits an obsidian altar. “Where are we?”
Felix nuzzles the side of my neck, still basking in the afterglow. “The castle.”
“No shit. I mean where in the castle.”
He sighs, shoulders slumping. “We use this room when a new vampire is being created. You’d be surprised how often a newborn completely wrecks whatever room they find themselves in upon waking up. Your self-restraint is remarkable, and I’m sure Aro will have an interest in it. He’s already discussing decorations with Heidi.”
“Decorations?”
“He’s decided to throw a party to properly welcome you into the loving arms of the Volturi Guard. Anne is trying to convince him to make you a Black Cloak.”
I blink, feeling a strange pressure behind my eyes. “How long was I out?”
“A week.” He flinches when he says the words.
“A week?! Fuck, I’m behind schedule. I have to get to Charleston-”
Felix looks down at me and there’s a glint in his eyes that tells me I’m on thin ice. “You’re going where?”
“Charleston. I told you before that I-”
“Yes, yes, I remember your grand scheme to get revenge on The Society. I don’t care. You aren’t leaving me.” He scoops me up in his arms easily, throwing me over his shoulder. “I’ll chain you up in the dungeon if I have to, darling, and I would much rather use those chains in our bedroom.”
