You try to act like a normal civilian, but the urge to shift is building to be intolerable. So why fight it? It's easier to live as a cat anyway, maybe someone could take you in.

What you didn't expect was for 4 giant, bulky, military men to find you. They'd found you in an alleyway near a fish restaurant, searching for scraps. The one wearing the weird mask had been the one to pick you up.

Then, the other 3 rushed over after hearing your yowling. The damn masked bastard had you scruffed!

"I found a cat."

today, we shall have a one-sided conversation where I write, and you read about World of Tanks Blitz and my obsession with warfare. World of tanks is an MMO game where you battle in tanks against other players that are the same tier, a tier below, or a tier above. You begin the game with the tutorial where you get to choose between 3 tanks to play as in the tutorial. In the tutorial, you are taught how to move, look around, aim, shoot, change shell type, and use consumables. After conquering the tutorial, you are given a choice of a tier 1 tank from one of 8 nations. You play battles to earn xp, which you use to research the next tiered tanks. You also earn credits from battles, which are used to buy different types of ammo, new tanks, and consumables. The goal of the game is to become the best strategist in battle and to collect every tank, including collectors tanks which cost gold, which costs money unless you get it from an event. Events are constantly happening, so there are often times to get gold. My favorite tank is the Soviet KV-2 due to its massive amount of damage that it does per shot in its tier. If this has convinced you to begin playing the game I shall recommend what line to play due to your playstyle.

Blitzkrieg : Light tanks (French are best, in my opinion)

Sniper: Any (I recommend German mediums or French lights)

High damage: Heavy or Tank Destroyer (British TDs or Soviet TDs)

Juggernaut: Heavies or Tank Destroyers (American or German TDs or German Heavies)

Right behind the front lines: Mediums (no recocmendations)

Possible kill in 1 shell/clip: FV215b or FV4005

Now what if I take this and place “Long hair” Hatake’s = “protector/leader of pack”

A mix of my hair affection idea and the smaller/larger pack clan idea I have.

So, long hair Hatake’s are seen as leaders for their pack, the longer or more decorated a Hatake’s hair the higher their standing in their pack. So most Hatake’s will have short of mid-short hair. Long haired Hatake’s means that they are seen as the leader of their pack. In the main clan nomadic pack there are multiple people with long hair but the Clan Leader has their hair all the way to their ankles, if not longer. In smaller packs, it doesn’t matter if the pack leader has their hair up to the waist, midback, or to their mid thigh, as long as it’s visibly longer then their pack members, they are designed as leader.

Also how you style a Hatake hair also symbolizes their standing in power and commitment to their pack. So decorating their hair with beads, feathers, leather or cloth given to them by the pack shows their love to their leader and the length shows their power.

Cus you know how a lot of people say long hair means your a strong shinobi to keep that length? Yeah this applies to this too.

This is also where pack + taking care of hair = love and loyalty = happy pack.

And children don’t have to modify nor truly worry about hair lengths until they are seen as adults in their pack. So they don’t have to worry about their hair being longer than their leaders or not, or if their hair is decorated as well.

I like to think Hatake's sees hair as a sort of sign of affection. Like, anything with hair is a sign of affection to them.

Head pats, fondness. Brushing hair, close relationship. Doing your hair, you are their closest person.

Like, they see playing or caring for your hair as a sign of affection through caring for you.

To touch your hair is like a cautious sign of fondness to see the person's reaction to the touch. If they are positive they keep doing it until they can card their fingers through your hair. If you respond negatively they would be slower and respectfully of your space and ask you if it's fine to pat your hair or hover a hand over your head before you lean into it.

Playing with one's hair means that they are putting trust in the person that they won't ruin it nor that you will damage it. A show of trust that Hatakes take to see if they have any form of malice or tension based on the person who is playing with their hair seems to care for them. If they pull or tug harshly and keep doing it then it means you don't care for their well being. But if you apologize and learn to be more gentle then it shows that you are being considerate of the person.

Styling or doing one's hair is like the ultimate show of claim a Hatake can make on a person, letting someone touch or do their hair is the second stage of trust before they do it themselves to the person they care for. Because then it shows that you are allowing them to care for you and love you in a personal way. To let a Hatake do your hair, whether that's brushing it or doing a complicated style is a show of a claim or sorts.

Of course, a Hatake will judge you by how well they care for your hair. The best hair care is usually shiny or silky, even fluffy or soft on the claimed, and a well-cared-for Hatake can be seen in the same way.

I just thought of this as Kakashi doing Sakumos hair a lot into a simple ponytail since that was the only style he learned to do correctly and Sakumo always loved it. But when the mission happened and Kakashi was coming home less, Sakumo's hair became loose and unkept which he took as a sign his pack didn't care for him nor trust him anymore.

I imagine Kakashi seeing Sakumos body with his silver hair spread all over the floor when Sakumo cut chunks of it off before killing himself. The person who found Kakashi and Sakumo saw Kakashi brushing out the tangles of the messily cut hair on his dads dead body.

Then I like to think of how Kakashi would pat his student's heads from time to time and I smile.

If we go the Hatake Tobirama and Hashirama route I like to think Hashirama always had his long soft and shiny hair due to Tobi brushing it daily. Even styles it for important events or for practices. Tobirama use to have long hair to but saw how much his brother struggled with it so he cut it short to help him with caring for it. Hashirama was devastated and felt guilty so he would work to make plant oils like rosemary lavender or coconut and almond oils to make his brothers hair shiny and smooth.
