The next chapter for seems like all i'm worth fic is taking a bit. This is for several reasons:

1) I am not sure which character the next chapter is going to be about, and am thus working on two simultaneously to see which one ends up fitting the narrative better.

2) both characters are a bit trickier for me to write as they have much less charitable views of our beloved pale elf, which is a very fun challenge as a writer, but is proving to be a delicate line for me to walk in terms of overall storytelling.

3) my life has recently imploded with both good and bad news, which is making it hard to carve out time to write and problem solve within the narrative.

At the start of the year I set a goal to write 100 words, of anything not just this fic, every day. So far that is going very well, and even though it may be slow going, I am making progress, however small every day.

For those of you eagerly waiting for the next chapter, rest assured it is being worked on! I cannot say when it will be done, but I will continue to chip away at it however much I can. Thank you for all the love and support, it really means the world to me <3

I will hopefully have a few sneak peaks to share in the coming weeks, so be on the lookout for that!

I had another interview today. I have a solid offer in my back pocket for a mattress job, but I wanted to go back to the old place I worked. It’s bigger, it can take a disability accommodation, it has an HR department and in general there’s more transparency with the sale of used beds which I like. All mattress companies sell used beds- it’s just whether or not they disclose that to you.

It was a great meeting, the guy I met with was a trainer back when I worked there and we always got along. We had a chat for about an hour, he showed me around. I’m honestly more excited by the prospect of working for my old company. The new one was a bit of dread overlaying how nice it would be to make good money again.

So fingers crossed I get an offer soon and I can turn the first place down officially.

EEK! I loved drawing this so much! (Julie mostly.. Barnaby was treacherous!! him with his evil shading...) I wish I had given them bracelets, I was thinking to myself whilst I was sketching this "They would have to buy a jewellery set, a necklace and a bracelet, Barnaby would wear the necklace around his wrist and Julie would have the bracelet" It made me giggle a tad.. a smidgen.. THEY ARE SO LOVELY!
