And today, I come to you with a very unofficial poll. Mostly because I’m curious, and it’ll likely shape what I share going forward:

When it comes to IC thread starter memes (not OOC memes, not Munday memes, not headcanon memes, not memes intended for short interactions), do you prefer emoji memes (an emoji with a description of the prompt) or quote memes (quotes from various media or with a similar theme)? Or does it not matter?

And again, please note I’m talking about IC multi-para to novella threads, not shorter interactions or crack. I’m trying to decide how I best want to approach new threads on this blog that I’ll be responsible for starting, and I’ve had terrible luck with general starter calls (so I try not to do them too often. They tend to make this hobby less fun for me). Thanks ❤

{So, since I’ve had this blog up for a bit now, figured I’d do a permanent starter call. This also applies to old mutuals and any future mutuals as well. 

This will be a way for me to know who’s okay with me doing the following:

Sending my muses into your inbox unprompted & posting starters for you unprompted.

Interacting OOC either in the IMs or on Discord (which you’re welcome to ask for if you want it), talking about muses or just general chatting. 

Messaging you with things that remind me of our muses, messaging you with plots, or just messaging you in general whenever.

Creating tags for a relationship (platonic & romantic) if I feel there’s chemistry (as long as you feel it as well).

Creating things for our muses (aesthetics, playlists, etc).

Tagging you in things that remind me of our muses/your muse.

You’re all totally welcome to do all of the above to/with me as well! I encourage it.

Also, some other notes:

All of you are welcome in my inbox. Be it on anon or off. Mutuals or not. Whether it be sending random questions or memes. I love unprompted things for any of my muses, so I highly encourage random asks. It won’t bother me at all, nor will the amount of asks. So send as many as you’d like, about anything.

Please don’t be afraid to message me about anything. If you have a plot idea or something you that reminds you of our muses, send it to me! In my experience, that’s been the best way to get plotting started & further potential relationships (IC & OOC).

I greatly apologize if my socializing isn’t the best. I sometimes leave messages hanging, and it’s nothing any of you have done. It’s just my neurodivergent brain making it difficult to socialize as often as I’d like. But I 100% want to talk & plot with you! So please don’t let this be a deterrent. I can assure you it does improve the more I talk with someone! It’s just hard to make the jump to start, is all.

Cuddles

Send a ♛ for a starter where our muses are cuddling on a bed.

Joanna and the Doctor had been on a particularly exhausting adventure this time.  Joanna was tired and close to falling asleep.  She knew the Doctor didn’t need sleep like she did, but she was glad someone was close to her as she laid on the bed.

She yawned and stretched out with her body against his, laying her head on him.  “You’re nice and comfortable” she said with a small giggle.  “And warm.  It’s kind of cool in here.”  She pulled the covers over herself.

🥂 – a drunk kiss

Joanna had already had too many shots of whiskey and she took another one. She was past the point of being just buzzed into full-out drunk. They'd had a close call. Joanna almost always got emotional when she was drunk, even more so than usual.

"We could've died today. Well, I could've. I don't know what would happen to you." She didn't mean to sound flippant, but she still didn't fully understand how the Doctor's life cycle and regeneration worked. He'd always been the same as long as she knew him. She stood up and gave him a kiss, right on the lips, then pulled back. "You're...well...you're kind of cute" she said with a slight giggle. "I need to sit down." Her head was swimming.

"I just got done cooking this” Joanna protested with an annoyed tone in her voice.  A part of her knew the Doctor had a good sense for things going wrong, but a part of her also said there was no reason this would be something other than a power outage.  And she’d just cooked, and she wanted to eat...

But she knew she probably wasn’t going to be able to talk him out of it.  She sighed.  “So what are you planning to do?  And what do I do with the spaghetti I just cooked?”

Joanna would have never, ever guessed the Doctor would just grab her and kiss her the way he did.  Her eyes widened to about double their normal size as he kissed her right on the lips.  She couldn’t speak until he broke it off.

"I’d probably have slapped you if we hadn’t just survived a near-death experience” she said.  “And...it wasn’t so...so...”  She couldn’t quite bring herself to say it was good.
