Help a college student graduate by answering a survey!!
Hey!! Are you over 18 and in the miraculous fandom? Then this is for you!!
Hi everyone, this is my last semester of uni, and one of my final projects to be able to graduate is to write a scientific paper. I'm writing an article about adult fans of children's animation, specifically Miraculous Ladybug. My goal is to understand what makes adults (like us) want to join fandoms centered around shows aimed primarily at children, and to do that I'd love to hear directly from the source! The survey takes around 10 minutes to answer, it's 100% anonymous and it would help me immensely!
I need at least 30 people to answer, but honestly the more the merrier! I've also made a little thank you gif at the end, so if you see it let me know! If you have any questions feel free to send me an ask, as well!
Please reblog so it can reach more people! Thank you so much!

Benny would be thrilled by Nick Valentine. Like I know the concept of synths and replacing people would initially shock him but I don’t think for long.
He’s not a technology guy by any means but he certainly appreciates it and understands what it can do. He’d be pro-synth and synths at people for purely pragmatic reason at first but seeing some noir detective would have him thinking of all the ways he could improve on his plan if he had that tech for Yes-Man.
If Yes-Man could pass as human he’d have no reason to hide him and could even have him buddy up with the rest of the Chairmen! Even if he’s found out and House wants him and especially synth Yes-Man out their is a loyalty to them that is only made stronger that Yes-Man looks like them now. It’s also such a complex thing for Yes-Man too now to struggle with “humanity” in a new context and his teacher tragic being Benny Fucking Gecko.

i mean this completely genuinely and unironically: i think adventure time is one of the best examples of a long running tv show that completely improvised literally everything about its plot every step of the way. its so impressive how well everything always ended up tying together, in such a complete way, when there wasnt a set plan from the start. and how STRONG its been going for so long without the characters becoming flanderized... with 10 seasons and two reboot sequel series, it has yet to miss! it only adds to everything its built up. adventure time consistently hits it out of the park, and i think a big part of this is because the writers are building on what was already there and doing stuff that they just genuinely think is cool. its such perfect "yes and"-ing of the plot. and it works. it works so well

Update regarding last night's post: My brother (age 13, definitely has heard worse when he went to public school) has now been banned from watching Spy X Family because of the "language".
If you want evidence that my mom is an absolute whackjob, she willingly let him watch Deadpool and Venom when he was in elementary school.

hb no longer being a comedy is such a weird complaint or i guess more specifically characters no longer being just comedy relief (aka stolas) or not keeping up the episode format of 3 imps go to the human world to kill people
to me the weird part is that this show pretty quickly established as far back as the second episode that it was never just gonna be that. it was never gonna be just a pure comedy and stolas was never gonna be just comedic relief
and tbh if the show did stay like that it would've been the most boring shit ever and you know it
its also wild because don't people want adult cartoons that aren't just solely dumb jokes ?

Something I really especially love about btas is that every character is just… a human. Batman doesn't just show up and incapacitate 30 people no issue, he has to fight and brawl with just 1 or 2 henchmen. He can be taken out by hits and poisons and such. The rogues have to surrender when the cops get guns to their faces, and can be overpowered even by normal people. Joker isn't some pure evil incarnation of the Devil or whatever, he's just… a really bad man. Same for every other villain and character. And Bruce actually gets to show personality and emotion beyond Brooking and Grunting. He makes jokes and laughs and gets sad.
I'm really getting to understand why people call this the best Batman adaptation.

Watching the walking dead made me realize I been consuming too much kids' media. I'd always be sittin there hoping for them to cross a line. do something wild. have somethin outrageous and exciting happen. I've been craving violence and misery from shit that has to follow TV-PG rules. Wow watching something I'm the actual target audience for is great, who'da thought? 💀

just wanna say i love ur isaac art !!! the way you characterize the characters and put them in different scenarios is super fun and adds some depth to them that we dont rlly see in the game , and your style makes me feel like im watching a cartoon about them :]
*choking up* Literally made me tear up. Thank you so much for your kind words.
I am having massive amounts of fun (despite the raging). The game's a roguelike, so that means infinite possibilities and infinite amount of material to work off of. The game and its themes are not everyone's cup of tea, but I do like to share the fun through making comics of the characters. Even though, canonically, the characters are all just a freaking child in a wig, I'm taking the creative reigns and driving this into the wall, BABY.
Just trying to make the game/jokes comprehensible to folks who don't play the game by adding my own flare and characters they can get accustomed to and like you said "adding some depth."
Thank you so so much. Mwah~
