hb no longer being a comedy is such a weird complaint or i guess more specifically characters no longer being just comedy relief (aka stolas) or not keeping up the episode format of 3 imps go to the human world to kill people

to me the weird part is that this show pretty quickly established as far back as the second episode that it was never just gonna be that. it was never gonna be just a pure comedy and stolas was never gonna be just comedic relief

and tbh if the show did stay like that it would've been the most boring shit ever and you know it

its also wild because don't people want adult cartoons that aren't just solely dumb jokes ?

#like you dont have to like it but just say you dont like and move on why are you still here #when its clearly not what you want?#idk what people want #like do you want stevenuniverse but for adults??#because a series intended for an older audience is probably gonna cover topics that are more mature #than what a kids cartoon can #and will cover 'taboo' topics and will also cover them differently that a kids show #because its working on the assumption that the people watching are adults #but alas theyve had to handhold the audience #im not sure where i was going with any of this #i guess im still shocked people are shocked the show isn't just about goofy assassination hijinks?#even tho it hasnt for fucking years at this point??? did you people only watch the pilot and internalise that for 5 years or-?#maybe thats why you cant handle character growth cause none of you will
