@alitlantern sent: [KISS]: sender cups the receivers face in their hands before drawing them closer for a kiss.
(so evil, yet so good, it’s about time they SMOOCH)
They were meant to be asleep, tucked into their beds with the lanterns dimmed and deafening silence permeating the dorm, yet here they were instead practically buried under linens and spare pillows. Karl was a fool, hopeless and drunk on emotions he had fought against for so long but for as much as he tried to chastise himself for it, he’d let himself be led to the back where spare laundry and linens were kept by an impeccably wilful, horrifically charming apprentice. Anders. It always came down to him. Every. Single. Time.
Why was it so difficult to put the man from his mind? Why could Karl do anything else except follow Anders with his eyes anytime he walked past, while assured the man wasn’t aware? No, if he’d been aware Karl wouldn’t hear the end of it. He’d been lured in with a genuine-sounding need for assistance and the trap was sprung. “I should have known it was a farce,” Karl sighed but his voice was quiet and there was no edge of annoyance. Was there something else there? A sign of his relenting? Not that he’d admit it, but-
With his feet practically stolen from under him, he stumbled, scrambling to find purchase on something as Anders grabbed him, hands splayed across his cheeks, and pressed their lips together. Despite the unexpected action, Karl committed, molding right into him almost as if on instinct. He pulled back, more out of surprise than anything else and exhaled sharply, wide-eyed and bewildered. Karl frowned but his mouth betrayed his eyes which looked on at his fellow apprentice with uncertainty. “Anders…” the words floated away and felt too far to grasp for a few passing moments while his lips still tingled with the buzz of the fade and his tongue remembered how the other mage had tasted. “I’m not here for games, nor am I going to be just another conquest or notch on your proverbial belt.” Fingers gingerly brushed strands of hair from Anders’ face and carried on further to trace the angles of his jaw. “This is a terrible idea, dangerous and foolish but I would be the fool if I continued to pretend I didn’t feel anything. But those are my terms.”

a problem with me and the way I think is that whenever I'm single I catastrophize it something fierce and I am like I Am Doomed To Be Alone Forever I Don't Even Know How To Meet People and without fail that has just not been true
#oisín.n#oisín.txt#it's like. similar to being the kid who aces all the tests and then winds up flunking college bc they don't know how to study#between age 15 and now (almost 14 years) i've dated 9 people and been single cumulative 3 years#never much more than a year at a time#and like. i get i should not complain but the thing about that is more often than not those have been Awful relationships#bc the issue is that i do not know how to be comfortably single#i got much better at it last year and felt pretty good but then my last ex i was like deadset on and i wasn't prepped to be single again#and i'm realizing i know. nothing about how to like move in irl queer circles or even find them to begin with#which makes me worried i won't know how to meet people at all. i'm like scared to put myself out there and all i know for options are like#one queer gaming group that we'll see about i guess and dating/hookup apps and nightclubs#so like ill meet people it will literally be fine but also where tho. my friend is in like local queer discords where he's at but i cannot#find ANYTHING like that here

Grandfathered In
There, a job well done. Alfred thought to himself as he put the last grocery bag in the back of the car. Meal planning and shopping for a family as large as his own (and their semi frequent unexpected guests) did take quite a bit of his time but he'd managed to finish a bit early this week.
Alfred was thinking fondly of spending his extra time with a nice cup of tea and a book when he heard a noise from the nearby alley.
He stilled and listened intently. That was the sound of someone in pain. A child in pain if he wasn't mistaken (a sound he would rather he wasn't so familiar with). Well then, the tea would have to wait.
Alfred quietly moved into the alleyway, his hand inside his coat gripping the pistol hidden there. Hurt child or not, it never hurts to be cautious in Gotham.
"Good Heavens!"
There was a boy with pure white hair and bright, barely open, luminous green eyes. He was curled up, partially hidden by the dumpster, clearly barely clinging to consciousness and was oozing bright green blood from a large abdominal wound as well as several smaller cuts and burns.
He approached slowly and held out his hands to try to appear as friendly and non threatening as possible. "You appear to be in a bit of trouble young sir, perhaps I can help?"
The boy nodded weakly and Alfred knelt down and reached to pick him up. Best to get him into the car quickly and make use of his emergency first aid kit to stabilize the boy then get him home for further treatment. The hospital clearly wasn't an option for the young Meta... or alien perhaps? Something to ask once the boy was up to it.
Alfred carefully cradled the child and briskly moved back towards the car. He appeared to be a young teenager but he weighed so little, Alfred almost felt as though he was holding a toddler rather than a teen.
He lay the boy down in the back seat and leaned over to reassure him, gently moving his hair out of his eyes and petting is head in a soothing gesture. "There now, we'll have you right as rain in no time."
"Ha" the injured young Meta tried to laugh. "Might take...some time.. Don't ya think?"
Oh he'd fit right in, Alfred couldn't help thinking. Sassing even as he lay there bleeding. Well, in spirit if not quite the usual appearance, Alfred considered, eyeing the white hair and bright green eyes but-
A bright white suddenly light filled the car. Alfred blinked away the spots from his vision then stared in astonishment at the now black haired, blue eyed boy before him. Well then, fit right in indeed.
*****
Bruce blearily wandered into the kitchen and sat down at the table just barely holding in a yawn. He'd been in space on a mission with the Justice League for over 3 weeks and had only just gotten back to Earth in time to crash into bed and get a few hours of sleep before he had to be back up.
He reached for his coffee and looked around the table at his children. Tired as he was, it was good to be home. It even looked like everyone had made it for breakfast, a rare event for their family. Dick, Jason, Tim, Cass, Stephanie, Barbara, Damian, Duke and...
"Who's this?" Bruce asked with friendly smile. Did one of his kids make a new friend?
Alfred silently appeared next to him. "That is your son."
"My son?" What was happening? Bruce was too tired for this. He counted again, Dick, Jason, Tim, Cass, Stephanie, Barbara, Damian, Duke and...he looked closely at the last one. Black hair, blue eyes. Looks like one of his... He had no idea who this child was.
"Your son." Alfred said firmly as he sat some papers next to Bruce's plate.
Bruce looked down. Those were adoption papers.
"Oh. My. God." Stephanie whisper screamed from across the table. "That's where B got the adoption habit from!"
Bruce's attention was diverted from the multiple children trying to shush Stephanie as an uncapped pen was placed in front of him. He looked up as Alfred raised a single eyebrow and gave him a pointed look.
"Right, of course. My son."
He quickly scanned the adoption papers as he signed them then looked over at his latest child.
"Welcome to the family, Danny."
Note: I don't currently have plans to continue this. Anyone can add on if they would like to :-)

Chapters
Chapter 1
Chapter 2 (You're here)
Chapter 3 Chapter 4
Chapter 2
The moment you retreated to your room Alfred's gaze hardened as he looked at the kitchen door through which you had left.
With a sigh he returned to making breakfast, however, something couldn't stop going around in his head.
Why?
Why do you have to leave?
Why do you have to leave ME?
He doesn't blame you. Your "family" has done nothing but ignore you and push you aside on more than one occasion since you arrived at Wayne Manor. And if it weren't for him, Bruce wouldn't have remembered to pay for your needs and education.
No. He could never blame you for your decision, but he can blame Bruce and your brothers. He had never felt such anger for them, not even when Martha and Thomas died at the hands of that cruel man. But that never had a solution, but this did. His family has a solution and he was going to fix it for you and for you. To always have his ray of sunshine at his side.
He wasn't going to lose you without having fought a war.
But for now, he had to stay calm. He sighed once more and finally relaxed as he served breakfast on the plates. He has to talk to Duje after you told him about your decision.
He had to think with a cool head. As he had told Bruce many years ago: "Fear doesn't make you think clearly" and not only was he scared of his little ones going out into the world alone, he also had anger built up. And he was going to use those two feelings to his advantage.
It was not for nothing that he was a very feared soldier during the war.
You were in your room as usual texting with a friend when Duke knocked on your bedroom door before coming in.
"Hey (name)!" said Duke happily who sat on your bed while you sat at your desk
"Oh hey Duke!" you greeted him with a smile anyway "How was school today?"
"A little boring, but at least it's Friday now" he chuckled
"And you? How was your day?"
It's now or never.
You sighed and got up from your spot to sit next to him on your bed.
"I have something to tell you Duke…" you put a hand on his shoulder
"And what is it?" He asked worriedly seeing your seriousness "Don't tell me it's something bad"
"No, it's nothing bad. At least I don't consider it bad" you started to say "But, Duke, I've decided to move out of the mansion"
"…What?…" he said in a quiet tone of voice surprised by your words
No, it can't be…
"I know it's sudden, but I can't stand this place" you sighed "I want- No, I need to start over without being in the shadow of others"
You turned to look at him and caressed his cheek.
"But this doesn't mean we won't see each other again. We'll be able to talk and keep in touch" you offered him a smile
Without saying anything, Duke hugged you and nestled his head in the crook of your neck. You put a hand on his neck and caressed him.
"Just… Don't forget about me…" he said after a few minutes of silence.
He pulled away from you and wiped away some tears that threatened to fall from his eyes.
"I could never do that, brother," you wiped one of his eyes with your thumb.
After that emotional conversation, you and Duke spent the afternoon in your room talking and watching movies on your laptop. However, Duke's mind was still on that conversation.
There was no chance that you would leave him. He had to find a way to prevent you from leaving his side.
The week you moved went by so fast that when you realized it, you were already taking the last box with your belongings out of the mansion.
You looked back at that mansion one last time and felt like that little kid again who arrived with fear and excitement to what he would call home for years. But soon your face darkened as you remembered the suffering you had experienced there. Without thinking twice, you turned around and got on your motorcycle, but not before securing your last box. You started the bike and left Wayne Manor.
You hadn't said goodbye to Alfred nor Duke but you left a letter on both of their beds wishing each of them the best, thanking them for everything and giving them the phone number of your second cell phone in case they needed something or just wanted to check on you. However, you didn't leave anything else, not even an address. You wanted to completely erase the Waynes from your life, you wanted to erase the fact that you were a Wayne too. You wanted to forget them so much that you turned off the cameras in the mansion for a period of time so you could take out your things in peace, so that no one would see the license plates of your motorcycle that you had been keeping at a friend's house and whose motorcycle was registered.
If nothing else, you had developed the same paranoia as Bruce and decided to take every measure to avoid being located. You even thought about going to live in Metropolis or Star City but the rent and sale of apartments there were much more expensive than in Gotham. Maybe when you earn more money once you finish college.
But for now focus on your present.
Before it is taken away from you.
When you got to your apartment you let out a sigh that you didn't know you were holding. You looked around, there were some pieces of furniture that came with the apartment like a leather armchair that was a little worn but looked pretty new, a wooden bookcase, several coffee tables, some pots and kitchen stuff. The only thing you had to buy was your bed but your best friend did you the favor of giving you a headboard for your bed as a gift of independence and you only bought a mattress. It wasn't as comfortable as the one you had in the mansion but at least you had things you could consider yours. NOT thanks to Wayne, but thanks to your efforts.
You put the box on the kitchen counter and before going to your room you saw several boxes.
Damn... You hadn't thought about how lazy you were going to be when you had to unpack.
That same day you left, Alfred had returned from going grocery shopping. At that time of the morning you and he used to spend the morning together, while you were in your online classes, he did the housework along with the food. Between the breaks you had between classes you used to go see what he was doing in the kitchen and you were his personal taster.
Now that you were on vacation, you spent more time with him because Bruce, Tim and sometimes Damian went to Wayne Enterprises, Dick and Jason weren't usually at the mansion and Duke, Cass and Stephanie were training in the Batcave or with their friends. For that same reason Alfred was alarmed when he called your name and you didn't answer.
He quickly went up to your room only to find it completely empty. His heart raced and he started to sweat lightly.
You couldn't have left so quickly, right?
He went down again and checked all the rooms in the big mansion and found nothing. Only his own room was missing. As he entered he could see an envelope of your favorite color on his pillow. He approached and read it.
In the letter you apologized for not saying goodbye to him in person but if you did you were more than sure that you wouldn't be able to leave. You also left him a private cell phone number where he could call you and you wished him all the best.
It had been a long time since Alfred felt the need to cry but without realizing it he had already shed a few tears. He couldn't believe that his little one was already gone.
After having shed a few tears, he quickly wiped his eyes and composed himself. No, he couldn't cry because you were going to return. He was sure of that.
However, he would let you enjoy your independence a little before implementing his plan for you to return home to your family. With him.
But first he'll have to talk with Duke.
Helloooo! I hope you liked the second chapter! If you did leave a heart and i'll see you in the next one. I kind of think this chapter is kind of bland but the story is just begining. This are the first impressions of you leaving the Manor but soon enough the rest of the family will appear.
Thanks you for reading!

I said I don't have great spelling, so I thought I'd share what one of the paragraphs in that last post looked like before I fixed it. Normally I fix word by word (sometimes I can even catch what I did wrong and fix it myself), but this time I just kind of kept going
So here's what I mean about me being bad at spelling (maybe I'll put a star next to the misspelled words so you don't have to hunt for them):
"I'm just not sure if those are statistical outliers and shouldn't be counted or not... then again maybe the same is true on twitter, but unlike twitter the algorithem* doesn't shove them down my thoat* (it just might places the in a recommened* blog thing that I 99% of the time am so used to ignoring I almost pysically* don't see, but leave around for the occational* nice art)"
#I think I just kind of... in some ways I want to highlight my dyslexia cause it's one of those things you'll almost never see#but that does effect things for me and that... before I was an adult and before spellcheck was as easy; did have a lot of little effects#it makes life a bit of a pain; but other people make it a real pain by... not just letting it go or...#I mean the most well meaning teacher; even if they like... conceptually get that you have dyslexia...#fuck if they don't fixate on spelling so damn much#so it's just... I suppose I want people able to see that my dyslexia is still very much here; I just accommodate it#and I want people to kind of see how my brain works#and like... throat I obviously just missed the r and didn't notice#but the rest... yeah... that's more or less how I'd probably spell them again; physically I notice the lack of the h#but I straight up can't tell you how to fix the other 3; not without way too much thought#but... I hope you can see how I'd end up spelling it that way... for all the sound it out advice...#you tell me my spellings don't sound out fine#al gor rith em... sounds like how I pronouce* well... we'll leave that as another example; but sounds like how I say it#not really even about me; I don't care anymore#other than some residual frustration#it's more about... don't see how anyone who effects dyslexic kids lives would read this...#but it's about maybe kind of giving insight into how it is for me#so if there's some dyslexic kid who's similar; maybe they have a better time#wasn't even like I had a horrible time... just had so many damn frustrating times#anyway... I'll tag this one just for posterity's sake#mm tag so i can find things later

Karl had never met anyone who spoke with such a fervor, so rapidly, letting the words just fly from their lips at a startling pace. It wasn't so simply that Anders spoke quickly when excited, but he came alive and launched into a whirlwind of conversation that threatened to sweep Karl right up into it... and a part of him - a large part admittedly - wanted to let it happen. Though he went silent while the other apprentice went on about the flowers, Karl smiled, beamed even. How could he not? There was such elation in Anders' voice as he spoke of the sights on his jaunts outside the tower. Much as Karl worried for the man and his numerous daring escapes, well he'd be hard pressed to ignore just how he lit up like the sun itself shone through him whenever he talked about things on the outside. Truly, it was no wonder he always fought so hard to be free of this place...
a beautiful bloom only withers in darkness
He cut off the thought before it could fully form and lead down dangerous paths. It didn't matter what Karl thought, or felt, or anything. Even if hearing the way Anders' father so flagrantly discarded the flowers in favor of the more practical crops. Practical was the key word, naturally, Karl understood that flowers were really only good for looking at if they didn't possess any medicinal or edible properties. Still, it was a harsh lesson for a child and it brought the ghost of a scowl to his face, one he dismissed as swiftly as it formed, replacing it with more of a curious expression.
"Before the Circle? You mean at home, with my parents? Hm." Contemplation gave him pause before he smiled apologetically. "I'm afraid my life was, well, rather uneventful. There was no grand spectacle which landed me here, I'm afraid. Just accidentally setting alight a book...it had to be my favorite one of all things." A huff slipped out and Karl wrinkled his nose, as if annoyed with himself but there was no true admonishment to it. "If could believe it, my father was a cobbler and my mother sold her pies at the market to pull in more coin. It was simple living, but we had everything we needed..." There was another pause, a more reluctant, tentative one. "If... if I promise to tell you more, to share more, will you promise not to make any more escapes. At least for a month?"
━━━ ANDERS' FACE LIT as though the sun itself had shifted its gravity just to shine on him. An eager energy budded in his chest at Karl's question, manifesting in animated hands; the interested cant of Karl's spine leaning forward just enough to goad him on rushing the words to his lips like a burst dam.
❝ Oh, all sorts! Dandelions, to be sure, yellow and fluffed up between the jewel-toned Bluebells and a rainbow of Pansies, ❞ he feels ten years old again; face covered in gravy at the dining table, recounting his day of adventures to his grinning mother.
❝ All underneath the bushiest Mulberry tree! You'd swear it was a Willow the way its leaves hang, but the fruit is unmistakably Mulberry. Just the juiciest and sweetest things you've ever tasted. ❞ His mouth waters at the memory and he curses himself for not grabbing extras before the Templars had found him.
Though they probably would've gotten smushed in the dungeon...
Anders reins himself in, once again feeling self conscious under Karl's perception. He laughs a breathy little sound and forces himself to sit back against his chair, as though his father's voice in his head held true threat.
❝ We grew mostly food on the farm, ❞ Anders said, shaking his head. ❝ Nothing pretty, just a bunch of squash. Father tore up any of the flowers that dared encroach on his soil. ❞
He thinks over Karl's words and realizes in the beat of silence how strange and rare they were. His head tilts in curiosity, a renewed gleam in his eyes.
❝ You don't talk about before the Circle much. ❞ It wasn't the question he wanted to ask, but there were too many of those to choose from; so he settled on the observation instead, hoping his tone was enough prompting for the man to indulge him.

If You Were My Little Girl II
Alexia Putellas x Teen!Reader
Summary: Things are looking up
Alexia watches from the stands.
They're mostly empty, like almost all Barcelona B matches.
Women's football has only really started picking up steam recently but only at the top flight. The lower level leagues are still having a bit of a popularity issue.
But Alexia, for once, finds that she doesn't mind.
Because it means she can sit practically alone in the stands as she watches the home match.
A notepad sits on her lap, a pen tapping against the pages thoughtfully as she watches.
Barcelona B are good and Alexia has never expected anything different. She's seen the system at work many times as La Masia churns out players like Aitana and Pina and Jana, and more recently Vicky and Martina.
There's a reason so many clubs wants La Masia products.
They're all good players but even now, Alexia can tell a great player when she sees one.
You rise up among the crowd in the box and slam the ball into the goal, the net rippling with the force of the shot.
The best part, Alexia thinks, is that you didn't even need a moment to control the ball, hitting it in on the volley and grinning as your teammates practically dogpile you.
A hattrick in ten minutes is impressive in any league and Alexia makes another note in her notebook, humming softly to herself.
She rises out of her seat at the end of the match, disappearing into the building and out the doors.
It takes another half an hour for you to appear again, hair damp and an old crew neck sweater that Alexia's pretty sure is Alba's being tugged over your head.
You slip into the passenger seat, throwing your bag into the backseat and Alexia pulls your head down to press a kiss against the side of it.
You smile shyly at her as she offers up the fries she'd bought for a job well done.
"You did good, kid," She says," Very impressive."
"Yeah?"
"Yes. But I think we're going to work on evading slide tackles next," Alexia says as she drives off," We're trying to keep those ankles of yours intact, alright? I'm going to need them this season."
You roll your eyes and Alexia clicks her tongue.
"Don't roll your eyes at me," She says," I've got a good feeling about that meeting later in the week. A great feeling, actually. You should have one too."
"I'm managing expectations."
Alexia looks at you fondly. "Well, we'll see which one of us is right in a few days."
She lets you choose the music in the car, like she always does when you've scored a goal and you pull up to the apartment a lot quicker than you want to seeing as you're in the middle of singing along to your favourite song but, still, you drag yourself out of the car and up the stairs.
"How was the match?" Olga asks as she greets Alexia with a kiss on the lips.
"She did very well," Alexia brags," A hattrick within the first ten minutes and another goal in injury time."
"Exciting," Olga says indulgently as Alexia grins, already giving her running commentary of everything that happened during the match.
You escape though, hurrying to raid the cupboards before Alexia finally comes to her senses and tries to stop you 'spoiling' your dinner.
You don't know if there's any way to thank Alexia for what she's done for you.
Just three months ago, you were convinced that you were going to quit. You had no passion for the game, no hope of what your future was going to be but now all of that had changed.
You had direction. You had a manager. You had new boots and a place to live that wasn't a group home and support and love and everything seemed to be coming together for you.
A toe pokes you in the leg.
"Move."
"Alexia says that if you're trying to nap on her sofa again then I don't have to move," You tell Alba, who huffs and pokes you with her toe again," She also says that you have your own apartment and should stop mooching of us."
"But Olga's a better cook than me," Alba complains and you roll your eyes.
"Aren't you an adult? Even I can cook."
"Yeah but it's not like you could mooch off your sist-"
Alba falls silent quickly and you pretend to not notice what she was going to say for both hers and your own sakes.
The topic of your sister is kind of off limits when you're in the room. It's not completely banned because Alexia's still Jenni's national teammate but she's not really spoken about if you're in the room.
Alba's face flashes with terror for a moment so you pretend you don't notice her slip up ever though it sends a bolt of lightning into your stomach, a deep pit forming there.
It works for the most part, everyone in the house pretending Jenni isn't who she is to you, pretending that she's just Alexia's teammate and not her friend and ex, pretending that Alexia fostering you isn't her walking on a tight rope because Jenni doesn't know.
All Jenni knows is that you didn't quit when she told you to.
Jenni doesn't know that you live with Alexia. Jenni doesn't know anything. You doubt she even thinks about you when she's got a life far away in Mexico.
She lives there, far away from you and your life here in Barcelona.
She lives there and her presence is hardly ever mentioned around you.
Life is good at Alexia and Olga's house. Life is even good at training, though you could do without the smug little smirk Alexia has on her face when she picks you up.
"You already knew!" You accuse her, waving a finger in her face.
"Knew?" She asks, lips curl up in what can only be described as pure smugness," Knew what?"
"Right, who told you? Go on. Who was it?"
Alexia grins. "You do realise I am the captain? Any time they're looking to bring someone in, they ask me my opinion."
You roll your eyes. "Yeah and I'm sure you gave it."
"You're a good player. A great player," Alexia says," All I did was tell them what they already know."
You look down at your lap, fidgeting with your fingers. You want to be mad at her, to yell at her for keeping this from you. Maybe even yell at her for promising to the staff something you're not but you know she hasn't done that.
If she thought you weren't ready, she would have told them that.
But Alexia didn't. She didn't tell them to let you have a bit more time with the B team. She didn't tell them that you don't quite have what it takes.
"Thanks."
Alexia smiles at you as she drives home, a comfortable silence enveloping you both until your hand is on the door handle.
You stop.
"When I open this door, there's going to be a party, isn't there?"
"I may have told Olga...who told Mami...who told Alba...who told the rest of the family..."
"Is that a yes?"
"Possibly..."
"And there's no getting out of this?"
Alexia ruffles your hair, a soft kiss being pressed to the side of your head. "They're here to celebrate you."
You suck in a breath, just ready to turn the handle when the sound of the lift doors opening chimes down the corridor.
Both you and Alexia turn your heads towards.
It's just a fleeting second.
Just a moment.
But your good mood plummets as the door opens.
Alexia's hand tightens on your shoulder, pushing you slightly behind her and putting herself between you and the elevator.
Between you and Jenni.

There were few occurrences where the mages could be left to their own devices without much or any interference by the Templars. Personal grooming seemed to have largely been put on their own shoulders. Karl never considered himself to be a whiz with scissors, but could typically manage his own short mane. Once he'd gotten it to the length he preferred it hadn't been very difficult to maintain. Yet here he was sat on a stool with a very cheeky blonde in charge of the clippers this time. Intimacy came in many forms, and putting one's grooming in the hands of another was something Karl considered to be on the higher levels of deep closeness, of complete trust...
"Anders if you don't stop giggling you're going to knick my ear." Ah, but the sound was a delight to his ears, a golden chime that rang with innocent amusement. What little amusement could be forged in their environs. "What exactly are you snickering about anyway?"

welp. feels bad, kids. but chin up.
let's just get through the next four years. and then that will be it.
the good news is that this is the last time that this can happen. this is his last term-- for certain this time. and then we never have to do this again.
nothing is going to change right away or fall apart overnight. and no matter what, over the next four years there will still be ninja turtle cartoons. there will still be puppies and kitties. there will still be minecraft and magical girl animes and those lil caramel hard candies.
we'll get to the other side. just hang in there.

pinky promise
childhood friends w/ kenji sato
you and kenji met as kids when you moved into his neighborhood. from the moment you first exchanged shy hellos, you clicked in a way that was natural, like two puzzle pieces falling perfectly into place. you spent countless afternoons together—racing bikes down the street, sharing snacks, and turning the world into your own adventure. whether it was building forts out of blankets or pretending to be explorers in the nearby woods, your friendship was pure and unbreakable
you both lay in the grass, staring up at the sky as clouds drifted lazily overhead. the sun warmed your skin as you pointed out shapes in the clouds—a dragon, a ship, a heart, ultraman. there was a comfortable silence between you, a shared understanding that didn’t need words. but kenji, usually full of energy and jokes, was unusually quiet, his brows furrowed like he was deep in thought
finally, he turned to you with an expression so serious it caught you off guard. "you know," he began, his voice soft but determined, "when we grow up, i’m gonna marry you."
you blinked in surprise. his declaration was so straightforward, so sure, that it made your heart skip a beat even at that young age. you laughed, brushing it off with a playful shove. "you’re silly, ken! we’re just kids,"
but he wasn't laughing. he just nodded, like he was making a solemn vow. "i’m serious. one day, when we’re older, i’m going to marry you. promise." he held out his pinky, waiting for you to link yours with his
with a little roll of your eyes and a smile, you hooked your pinky with his. "promise," you repeated, still thinking it was just one of those silly things kids say. but something about the way kenji looked at you in that moment made you feel warm inside, like he truly meant every word
tears brimmed in your eyes as you stood in front of kenji, your voice cracking. "kenji?! what do you mean?" you demanded, wiping away the tears you couldn’t stop. he stared at the ground, shuffling his feet, unable to meet your gaze
"i'm sorry," he choked, his voice trembling. "mama says we're going to the states."
kenji's hands balled into fists at his sides, and you could see his jaw tighten. he was always the strong one, the one who never cried, but in that moment, you could see the hurt reflected in his eyes
"when will you come back?" you asked quietly, voice barely above a whisper
"i... i don't know," he replied, your voice wavering. "maybe never."
kenji’s brows furrowed, his lips pressing together in a tight line. he stood there, frozen for a moment, before suddenly grabbing your pinky with his. "promise me something," he said, his voice steady now, even though you could tell he was fighting to keep it that way. "promise me that when i come back, we'll get married. just like i said before."
you bit your lip, trying to keep the tears from falling, but you linked your pinky with his, just like you had when you were younger. "promise," you whispered
"[name]?" his voice, still soft but way deeper than you remembered, sent a shiver through you. the café suddenly felt too small as your heart raced in your chest. truth be told, you didn’t believe it when your intuition told you that it was kenji. but there he was, standing in line at a café, wearing that familiar baseball cap, though now he looked taller, more muscular, and more serious than you remembered.
"kenji?" you managed to say, blinking in disbelief. it felt like the years melted away in that single moment. without thinking, you rushed toward him—nearly knocking over your mocha—and he caught you in a tight hug, lifting you slightly off the ground as if afraid you’d disappear again
"i can't believe it's you," he said, his breath warm against your ear. "after all this time."
you pulled back to look at him, your hands still resting on his shoulders. "it’s been so long. i didn’t think... i didn’t know we’d ever see each other again."
he grinned, the same boyish smile from your childhood, but this time there was something deeper behind it. "guess life has a way of surprising us, huh?"
yet, neither of you ever forgot that childhood promise
as time went on, the two of you started hanging out more frequently. whether it was grabbing dinner after work or going to local events together, it felt natural to be in each other’s lives again. but now, there was something different—an undercurrent of tension that hadn’t been there before. the way kenji’s eyes lingered on you a little longer, the way he seemed more protective, more attentive—it was as if that childhood promise was quietly resurfacing in the back of both your minds
after a particularly nostalgic conversation about your childhood adventures, you found yourself alone at his apartment, surrounded by the warmth and familiarity of someone who truly understood you. as you sat together on the couch, the conversation drifted back to that fateful summer day. with a teasing grin, you brought up the promise he made all those years ago. "remember when you said you were going to marry me? do you still mean it?"
you expected him to laugh it off, but instead, kenji’s expression turned serious, just like it had back then. "i never forgot about that promise," he admitted, his voice low and sincere. "i meant it then, and i mean it now."
his words hung in the air, heavy with a mix of emotion and anticipation. there was something undeniably intense about the way he looked at you, like he was finally ready to make good on the vow he made as a kid
what starts as a gentle reconnection quickly becomes more intense as years of pent-up desire surface. kenji’s touch is both eager and reverent, like he’s memorizing every inch of your skin. he whispers your name against your lips as his hands slide under your clothes, each touch deliberate, lingering, meant to remind you that he’s serious about the promise he made all those years ago
he takes his time, savoring every reaction he draws from you, until both of you are lost in each other. the way he moves is confident but tender, ensuring you feel adored in every moment. kenji’s deep, gravelly voice fills the room as he murmurs your name and confesses how long he’s waited for this—how he’s always known you were the one for him
"i still want to marry you. i always have."

Good Cop, Bad Cop
Parenting with various Haikyuu men - sometimes you're the good cop, sometimes you're the bad cop.
Featuring: Ushijima Wakatoshi x reader, Oikawa Tooru x reader, Tsukishima Kei x reader (okay, you're both kind of the bad cop in this one), Hinata Shouyou x reader
(Reader is referred to as Mom in Tsukishima's, the rest are gender neutral)
Ushijima Wakatoshi
You've just gotten home from the grocery store, and are attempting to put the groceries away while simultaneously preventing an all-out fist fight in the middle of the kitchen over the box of applesauce pouches. It's just the kind of day it's been.
Another shriek splits the air, and you massage your aching temples wearily. Normally, your son and daughter get along pretty well, but today is one of those days when neither of them is in a very good mood, and they've been taking it out on each other all day. Refereeing has become exhausting, and the headache pounding in your skull isn't making things any easier. The sound of the door latch has never been more welcome.
"What is all the yelling about?" The sound of your husband's deep voice immediately silences the squabble, your two children suddenly blinking up at him with the box still clutched between them. Oh, you are so jealous of this ability Wakatoshi has. "Applesauce?" He asks incredulously, plucking the box from their fingers and looking down at them with a frown.
"Sorry, Dad," They chorus meekly.
"Why don't you go to your rooms?" He suggests, in a voice that doesn't invite any arguments. "Start thinking about your actions today, because we'll be having a discussion about it later." They glance at each other before silently turning to do as they're told.
You sigh at the sound of their bedroom doors closing. "Tough day?" Wakatoshi asks, voice turning soft in a way that's only ever reserved for you and the kids. He cups your cheek in his hand, and you nod against it, leaning into his touch.
"Just what I said in the text," You murmur, referring to the exasperated message you'd sent him earlier that afternoon. "They've been at each other's throats all day. I wish I could manage them like you do."
"You do just fine," He runs his hand down your arm comfortingly. "I know they respect you and love you very much."
You nod again, though you're struggling to believe it right at the moment. "I just don't have your gift," You shrug, managing a small smile now that he's home and doing this with you.
"That's why we're a team," He says matter of factly, finally drawing you to him and pressing a tender kiss to your lips. "I'll get you some pain pills for that headache. After they kick in, we'll have a talk with them together."
"Thank you," You say softly, leaning in for one more kiss. You truly can't imagine doing this with anyone else.
Oikawa Tooru
You've just finished cutting the second apple and put the slices on the plate when your husband dances into the kitchen, your daughters bobbing behind.
"Okay," He sticks his head in the freezer, rummaging around a bit before pulling something out. "Who wants fudge ripple?" He holds up the carton of ice cream as your daughters bounce on their toes.
"Me! Me!" They wave their hands excitedly.
"Tooru," You say his name quietly, gesturing to the apples you'd just finished plating. "We're having apples for a snack tonight," You announce more loudly, plucking the box from your husband's fingers and tucking it back in the freezer.
"But Daddy said we could have ice cream!" The oldest pouts, crossing her arms over her chest.
"Did he?" You ask lightly, quirking an eyebrow at your husband, who shrugs sheepishly. "Did you happen to tell him that we had ice cream this afternoon after we went to the park?"
Suddenly very interested in her toes, she murmurs, "No."
"Oops," He says quietly, shrugging and mouthing a sorry over the tops of their heads. You shake your head with a sigh.
"Sounds like we're having apples tonight, my loves," He says quickly, corralling them to the table to have a seat as you set down the plate of apples. "Why don't you tell me about what kind of ice cream you got this afternoon?" They sulk, but by the time they're tucked in bed, the incident seems mostly forgotten.
"Sorry about the ice cream thing," He apologizes after you've tucked yourself on the couch next to him. "They're sneaky!"
"They certainly are," You huff a soft chuckle, "I wonder where they got it from?" You muse, elbowing him gently in the side.
"Hey," He pouts, a mirror of your girls' pouting faces from earlier. "I won't be tricked next time." He slides an arm around your shoulders, pulling you into him and pressing a kiss to the top of your head.
"We'll see about that," You murmur, knowing your daughters too well to be convinced, but too comfortable pressed against Tooru to care.
Tsukishima Kei
"It's just not fair!" Your son huffs, stomping louder than necessary through the kitchen. "You said Kaito could come over this afternoon, but now all of a sudden he can't?" He's glaring at you across the room.
"I said he could come over if you cleaned your room," You correct, "And you obviously haven't."
"What if I clean it now? Really quick?" He begs, "Then I don't have to tell him you lied to me."
You open your mouth, trying to formulate a response to that twisted logic, when Kei's office door opens.
"No," He says firmly, and your son turns to him, but can't get a word in before he continues. "Kaito is not coming over today, especially after the way you just spoke to your mother. I know you're smarter than that."
"But-" He says weakly, snapping his mouth shut when your husband's lips press into a thin line.
"I know you're not talking back to me as well." He says icily. "First, apologize to Mom. Then you can go clean your room from top to bottom. I want to hear the vacuum running."
Your son nods slowly. "Okay." He turns dutifully and looks at you. "I'm sorry, Mom."
"Thank you," You accept his apology with a nod, and that quickly he's off to his room. You close your eyes for a few moments, trying to quiet your exasperation.
"Sorry I butted in," Kei speaks from beside you though you hadn't heard him move across the room. "I just couldn't stop myself after what he said." His hand goes to the back of your neck, gently massaging the tense muscles there.
"It's fine," You sigh, "It was kind of getting away from me," You admit with a wry smile.
"Sometimes I wonder if this some sort of punishment for what an asshole I was as a kid," He says with a smile pulling at his lips, and you can't help the laughter that bubbles out.
"Well, I'm not sure what I did to deserve it, because I was a perfect angel," You reply smugly, pressing in to kiss him before he can argue.
Hinata Shouyou
You've been hearing slightly suspicious sounds for the last few minutes, but a sudden crash is finally enough to make you put down the shirt you're folding and follow the sound, dreading what you'll find.
"It didn't break!" Your daughter is saying, setting one of the lamps back up on the end table. A volleyball rolls to a stop at your feet, and you look from it to your daughter and your husband.
"Please tell me this isn't what it looks like," You say in a measured voice, "Because it looks like you were playing volleyball in my house." It's hard to say which of them looks more frightened.
"We weren't playing volleyball!" She pipes up nervously, "Dad was just showing me how to dig a spike like the one Bokuto-san made in yesterday's match."
"Oh?" You turn to your husband, who looks like he'd willingly jump in a hole if it were to open up in the floor. "Shouyou," Your voice is still even, which seems to make him squirm even more. "Can you tell me why, for even a moment, that seemed like something to do in the living room?"
"I, uh, didn't think about it?" He releases a nervous chuckle. "It wasn't her idea at all, I swear. It was all me." He valiantly takes the blame.
"My darling," You turn your attention to your daughter, "You should know better than to listen to your dad sometimes." You sigh. "Just take this back to the garage, okay?" She grabs the ball and dashes away, glad to be free from your disproving glare.
"I'm really, really sorry, baby!" Your husband immediately gushes, "I know it was stupid! It was, but she asked about it and I was just so excited to show her, I didn't think about it." You're trying hard, but it's almost impossible not to soften at the anguished look on his face.
"Feels like I have two kids sometimes," You can't help a small smile as you step toward him, letting him take your hands.
"I'm really sorry," He repeats, genuinely. "It won't happen again. Volleyballs belong outside," He repeats what has become your mantra.
"Very good," You smile a little wider, unable to resist pressing a small kiss to his lips.

hi, can I request the combination A2 and F7 for Spencer Reid smut prompts, please?? Thanks <333
'𝐛𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞.'
𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘳 𝘳𝘦𝘪𝘥 𝘹 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳
Prompt A2: dryhumping + F7: in a car - (prompts lists)
after a long day of working a case, one of the BAU cars broke down, which means that all six of you have to pile into a five person car. luckily, spencer offers his lap for you as a seat...
wc: 1.1k
content & tw: sensual fluff, public, dry humping.
a/n: this is much tamer than my usual writing but i rlly enjoyed it!
'oh, for fucks sake,' JJ says as she turns the key in the ignition. the car sputters and shakes with all its might but it doesn't start. 'i'm never renting from this company again, this thing has been having issues the entire time.'
'here, let me try,' you say as you bend over the center console to try the key for yourself, but obviously, it doesn't change anything. JJ grabs her phone and calls someone. 'hey, rossi, our car has broken down, could we hitch a ride to the hotel..? yeah, i know, we'll squeeze in... great, thanks, we'll see you in a minute.'
'don't the boys have a five-seater?' you ask as JJ hangs up the phone. she looks over at you with a sweet smile. 'yeah, but like i said, we'll squeeze in. and besides, i've been seeing you eye spencer, and he'll be polite enough to offer you a seat.'
you feel your cheeks heat and tell JJ to shut up, but you know damn well she's right. you have been eyeing spencer for a while. in fact, you've been doing more than that. unspoken moments together in hallways, soft touches during long days which end in secret randez-vous in hotel rooms late at night. during those meetings, spencer shows a different side of himself, the built up sensual tension from the entire day unloading onto you, and you know he loves that day long chase.
when the boys pull up, rossi is in the passenger seat with hotch driving. spencer and derek sit in the backseat. when derek opens the door and moves to the middle seat, you can already hear spencer rambling. 'driving with too many people in the car, particularly with one person sitting on another's lap, poses significant safety risks and is illegal in many places. the likelihood of severe injury or death increases for all passengers when seat belts are not used properly. according to the CDC, seat belt use reduces the risk of death by 45% and the risk of serious injury by 50% for front-seat occupants. For those in the rear seats, the reduction in risk of death is 25%.'
you smile as you hear his voice, JJ already having taken derek's spot, meaning the car is now full. you open the door at spencers seat, 'well, then i guess i'll sit in one of the rear seats, seeing as that cuts my risk of death in half,' you say, moving yourself to sit in spencers lap.
'no, wait, that's not what i meant, i just-' spencer starts to ramble again, his cheeks warming as you sit yourself down on his legs. derek cuts him off and says, 'well then you better hold on tight, pretty boy. be her seat belt.'
spencer looks confused and a bit panicked for a second, but when hotch starts the car, he wastes no time and wraps his arms around you. 'kids, behave back there,' he says as he pulls away.
rossi starts talking to hotch about today's case, a serial killer in the midwest, while JJ keeps derek's eyes on her in conversation. you and spencer are in a little bubble, even with four others in the car, no one is focussed on the two of you.
every time hotch turns a corner or hits a speed bump, your ass moves slightly over spencers crotch, and you feel his arms tighten around you. the drive will be about half an hour, but you can tell its going to be the longest thirty minutes of your life when you start to feel something growing underneath you.
you turn your head to look at spencer, who stares straight ahead. you always wonder what happens in his mind, but especially now. after another speed bump, he closes his eyes and his lips part slightly as you feel a twitch under you.
you start to grin, his desperate attempts to keep himself composed absolutely adorable. you decide to push your luck, grinding yourself down on him subtly. he moves one hand to your hip, grabbing it tightly and stilling you. you're afraid you might have gone too far.
when you look back at him, he is no longer staring forward. his eyes are fixed on you, and he starts to pull your hip back and forth. you open your mouth slightly in a surprised gasp, not expecting him to be so bold.
JJ and derek's chatter beside you, rossi and hotch's in front, and the two of you completely silent. the radio plays softly, and you're sure nobody is actually listening, but you will never be able to listen to this song like you used to before. taylor swift's 'wildest dreams' is now the soundtrack to an intimate moment between you two, and you know you'll remember this whenever you hear it again.
spencer keeps his movements subtle and slow, not pulling any attention to the two of you. the tension is almost palpable, and you truly hope nobody notices, but the people in this car are bold enough to say something if they do.
every soft gasp coming from spencer's lips, ever small furrow as his brow, but especially every bit of movement and every twitch from his cock makes you wetter and wetter, and you know damn well that you won't be alone in your hotel room tonight.
his hand that's not on your hip holds onto you tightly, squeezing the skin on your side as he desperately tries to get you closer, maybe even to get you alone.
the drive seems to last forever, but when the car comes to a halt, it feels like only 5 minutes have passed. you hadn't realised how much you had been pulled into the moment, and judging by spencers sigh, he hadn't either.
'well we made it. go to sleep, everyone. this case is far from closed,' hotch says as you all climb out of the car. you smile at spencer, his eyes still fixed on you. 'get some rest, spence, i'll see you tomorrow.'
derek takes one look at you two and smiles at the floor. as you walk towards the door, you hear derek talk to spencer, mocking your words, 'yeah, reid, get some rest.'
'shut up,' spencer said, his voice cracking slightly on the nerves, but you know that in about thirty minutes, he will be knocking on your hotel room door and he will be everything but for nervous...
