viktor in my dr ⟢
VIKTOR KRUM-- the stoic and brooding up-and-coming quidditch star; boys want to be him, girls want to be with him (or the other way around). accidentally lock eyes with him and chances are he looks like he’s about to cast an unforgivable curse on you, but ask the school legilimens fred weasley what he’s really thinking about; he’ll tell you viktor is just thinking very carefully about what he wants to eat for lunch.
take it from his best friend since the start of school-- he may look intense but he’s got a heart of gold. viktor is thoughtful, caring, he's the type of guy who brings you coffee just the way you like it while you study in the library (no, he won’t join you in revision, but he’ll distract you from your upcoming test).
when he’s not in quidditch practice or fantasizing about his next meal, you can find him taking a nap under his favorite tree whilst i read beside him. comfortable silence is our platonic love language, can you tell?

I detested most stuff and I still do
You see, I hate everything but you
“God, this is lame.”
“Aw come on, Max!” David, attracted like a bloodhound to the slightest hint of negativity, flocked to Max and gave him his most winning grin. (David rarely won anything, especially with that stupid smile.) “This is a very special experience for you campers!”
Max rolled his eyes. “A shitty waterpark in the middle of nowhere, full of screaming kids. It’s a dream come true.”
“Well, maybe if you went in the water you’d feel better! I could hold your sweatsh --”
“Touch it and die, camp man.”
“Seriously, Max,” Gwen said, coming up behind David with her arms already crossed in what she probably thought was an intimidating pose. Would probably be scarier if she wasn’t constantly trailing behind David like a duckling with an attitude problem. “This stupid trip cost us money we don’t have, so you better not ruin it.”
“Even if I wanted to run away, where would I go?” He threw his arms out to the side, making a dramatic show of looking around. “This place is more isolated and run-down than most Saw traps. Pretty sure I’ll die of tetanus just walking around.”
David looked like he wanted to say something inspiring (and dumb), but something over Max’s shoulder snagged his attention. “Mr. Campbell! Put those ‘No Running’ signs back!”
As the counselors ran off -- well, David ran; Max was pretty sure Gwen wouldn’t run unless a serial killer was chasing her -- he let his disinterested mask turn into an actual, evil-villain smile.
He’d only said he wouldn’t run away, after all. There were lots of things he could fuck up besides trying to escape.
He just needed his partners in crime . . .
“Max!” Right on time. He had a split second to brace himself before Nikki collided into his back, looping an arm around his neck and nearly dragging them both to the pockmarked cement. “This place is awesome! There are water guns attached to poles and I sprayed Preston in the face!”
“Amazing, Nik,” he replied, shrugging her off and readjusting his hoodie. “You really can find the bright side to even the shittiest things.”
Neil trotted up to them, already a little out of breath and wiping the sweat from his hairline. Max pulled an inhaler refill out of his hoodie pocket, but he waved it away and said, “I don’t think we can steal the guns. Not without a screwdriver, and I’m pretty sure I left mine in the tent.”
Nikki had already moved on. “The vending machine over there is broken! Neil and I got twelve packets of Cracker Jacks!”
“Do you even like Cracker Jacks?” he asked. Weren’t those just packing peanuts covered in caramel?
“I don’t know!” She tore a package open with her teeth and tossed the entire thing into her mouth. “Not really!”
Neil grimaced. “Jesus, Nikki, at least finish chewing --”
“Catch!” Nikki had already ripped into another packet and tossed a handful of Cracker Jacks in his face.
While Neil was spluttering and wiping peanuts off his face, Max said, “So what percentage of the water here d’ya think is pee? I wanna make sure I really emphasize the health code violations in my letter home. Maybe Mom and Dad will be so pissed off they sue the camp.”
(Not that they would; he was convinced his parents had learned English mostly by watching family sitcoms and cheesy coming-of-age movies, and they were convinced that garbage heaps like Camp Campbell “built character” and were part of the “true American experience.” No amount of common sense would get through to them. They were parents -- so, basically hopeless.)
Neil gave the pool a slightly nauseated look before shaking it off and turning back to him. “Even you have to admit this is a little fun.”
“I really don’t think I do.” He swept his arm up and over his head in a wide semicircle. “It’s a beautiful sunny day, everyone’s enjoying themselves, there’s some weird hipster shit playing over this place’s one broken loudspeaker. It’s picturesque. Disgusting .”
Nikki cocked her head to the side, listening to the tinny music crackling through the air like it was being played through a tin can. (And by a tin can. It sounded like a pile of tin cans in a clothes dryer that was also somehow tin cans.) “I kinda like it.”
“There’s a mandolin in this song. You know where mandolins belong? At Ren Faires and Scottish funerals.” Probably. He didn’t know much about Scottish funerals -- or what “Ren Faires” were beyond that Nerris liked them, and she seemed like the kind of weirdo who’d listen to tiny guitars -- but he doubted Neil or Nikki did either, so he was fairly confident he could get away with saying it.
His friends exchanged a look, one that set Max’s teeth on edge. “You’re doing it again,” Nikki said.
“Doing what?”
“Hating things,” Neil replied.
That wasn’t what Max had been expecting. “I mean . . . yeah,” he finally said, shaking his head. “It’s kinda my brand.”
“I know.” Nikki started chewing on the tip of one of her pigtails, the hair muffling her words. “And usually I like causing mischief, but it’s hot and I wanna go on the water slides!”
“She’s right,” Neil added, and Max began to feel like he was in some sort of intervention. “I know this place isn’t the best --”
“I’d rather be in Super Guantanamo.”
“-- but is it really more fun to just stand around being pissed off at everything?”
“Obviously.” The response was automatic, but the question actually threw him for a second.
Complaining was fun. He and Neil could spend an entire Saturday trading complaints and insults about the camp, their parents, even the weather if they were really running low on things that sucked. Max considered himself a champion at bitching about things, but Neil’s super-geek brain was so good at plucking out faults in even the most awesome things and somehow making these observations both stupidly obvious and even funny -- in his dry, “not entirely sure he’s actually joking” way.
And ruining things was fun: Nikki had the worst, impossiblest, batshit-craziest ideas, and buried in all that weirdness were some of the best pranks he’d ever pulled. Even when Max couldn’t shut her down on a bullshit scheme, it was fun watching his friends use science and Nikki-ness to make it work -- and fail, usually. It was even more fun when they were actually able to pull something off that shouldn’t have been possible (usually with his help and great insights; he was the best at causing mayhem and always would be) . . .
The look on Neil’s face when his jerry-rigged hamster ball actually allowed them to roll around the camp without popping on anything, even Nurf’s knives, was priceless. And so was Nikki’s war cry that sounded like an Indian from one of those old racist Westerns, which she reserved for explosions big enough to singe off their eyebrows.
But they didn’t want to do anything like that today. They wanted to just . . . what, enjoy themselves? In this pathetic soon-to-be-abandoned-and-bankrupt pile of junk?
And he was supposed to just go along with that?
Why the fuck would he?
They could hang out without him, they did it all the time. When he was busy . . .
Hating things, usually.
“Okay, fine,” he finally said, letting out a long, beleaguered sigh like they were being too annoying for words. (What? Sometimes being dramatic was fun too.) “I’ll do things your way for an hour. And if it still sucks, we break something. Like David’s legs.”
He wasn’t surprised by the way either of them smiled; after the entire summer he’d gotten very used to both of them. Nikki’s grin, so wide it was almost scary, with a tooth that got chipped during Fighting Camp and another one she lost a few weeks ago (then immediately swallowed to see if the tooth fairy would come into her stomach after it), the way she tilted her head like an excited puppy: same angle, same direction, every single time. Neil’s tiny, shy of his barely-crooked teeth, the way his gaze would land somewhere in the vicinity of Max’s face but never actually his eyes -- forehead, nose, for some reason his left ear (but never the right) -- before flicking down to stare at his dorky T-Rex hands, which he’d twist together until every finger-joint cracked, this teeny little divot in his right cheek that only showed up when he laughed, too small to even put a pinky in.
Max hated people smiling, especially smiling at him . But he didn’t totally mind with Neil or Nikki; they were his best friends, maybe his only friends. It’d be weird if they were frowning at him all the time.
“Come on then, sourpiss!” Nikki cried, taking one of his hands and gesturing for Neil to grab the other.
“Sour puss ,” he corrected, his fingers briefly settling on Max’s wrist, elbow, and forearm before closing tight around a handful of his sleeve.
Max let himself be dragged forward, wincing at the sticky caramel still on Nikki’s hand. “I’m not gonna run away,” he whined, scuffing his toes along the ground before remembering that he liked these sneakers. “You don’t have to --”
“Our way,” she reminded him, breaking into a half-skip, half-run that left Max and Neil stumbling to keep up. “Oooh, look! Flowers!”
“We aren’t seriously stopping and smelling flowers right now, are we?” Max demanded, almost overcome by the lameness of it.
Neil just shrugged, ducking away from a bee that zoomed out of the nearest one. “Our way, Max.”
He sighed and breathed in a lungful of pollen. “Yeah, yeah,” he managed between coughs. “But just for an hour.”
“It’s gonna be a rose, but like . . . a black one. With thorns. And it’ll say ‘Too Cool’ underneath. Maybe in the vines or something.”
“Wow, Ered!” Nikki said, leaning against the rickety wooden railing that was keeping them from falling off the long line up to the tallest slide. “Your dads will let you do that when you’re sixteen?”
She tossed her hair. “Totally.” She turned to Max and Neil. “You gonna get a tattoo?”
“Yeah, I’m gonna get ‘None of your fucking business’ on my forehead.”
Nikki pouted, shooting Ered an apologetic look. “Max, our way!”
“It’s been way over an hour,” he said. His hair and sweatshirt -- which he still refused to take off, though he did dump everything inside into David’s backpack -- were soaked and beginning to steam under the sun, and he pulled his hood over his eyes and rested his head on Neil’s shoulder. “Wake me up when we get to the top.”
His friends were quiet, Ered having turned her attention to a surprisingly impassioned conversation with Nerris over the benefits of each class in DnD. After a moment Nikki said, “Well, the hour is over.”
“And he’s still here.” Neil smelled like sunscreen and chlorine, and his skin was burning warm like the sunburn he would inevitably still get. As a strong breeze shook the wooden tower they were standing on, a chill caused Max to lean more heavily into him for warmth and wind-blocking. (Not snuggling. Not even in the same neighborhood as snuggling.) “Better than I’d expected.”
He could hear Nikki’s smile. “Me too!” They shuffled forward, ignoring the alarming creak of the wood beneath them. “He’s a good friend, deep down.”
“Ehh, very deep down, I guess.”
“Oh yeah. Like, in his toes or something.”
“You know I can still hear you, right?” Max said without opening his eyes.
“Absolutely,” Neil replied.
“We were counting on it!” Nikki added brightly.
“Max!” They’d reached a bend in the line, and he realized with horror, opening his eyes, that they’d come into view of David, who was apparently accompanying Space Kid. Birds of an annoying, friendless feather . “I’m so happy to see you’re enjoying yourself! Isn’t it great having fun off the grid like this?” David’s voice was sincere, a little bit tearful, but with an underlying I told you so that made his blood boil.
Max turned to Nikki and Neil, who understood what he was thinking from his expression. “We’re not letting him get away with that, right?” he muttered.
“Of course not,” Neil said immediately, and Nikki nodded.
“Slide first, though,” she said, as though they were going to just leap off the side of the tower or something. (Which, considering her, couldn’t be ruled out.)
Max grinned, giving in to the oppressive sunshine and shrugging out of his hoodie. “Slide first,” he agreed. “Then we’re doing things my way.”

Always You 4
A/n: AU!Story. This is a Gabriel AU reader insert…Gabriel is a writer and hopelessly in love with Cas’ little sister. After a failed relationship that ended badly in the past, Gabriel is just a shell of what he used to be. Now he has to work on being himself again to get the girl. (Cas in this story is hippie Cas) Slight smut in this chapter.
Link to Chapter 3
Words: 1,976
Pairings: Gabriel x Reader
___________
After you stormed out the door Gabriel and Cas stood in an awkward silence. Cas finally looked to face Gabriel.
“Are you gonna go after her?”
Gabriel gave Cas a glare before turning and walking in the opposite direction. Cas remanding looking in the place where his best friend stood a moment longer before shrugging and going back to his and Dean’s room. He couldn’t be the one that fixed everything between Gabriel and yourself. The two of you would have to learn to fix your issues without him.
“I don’t know why I fool with either one of them.”
He muttered shutting the door behind him.
Meanwhile, Gabriel stormed into his bedroom also slamming the door before beginning to pace. Did the two of really just have this argument? Did you both really just break up over their stupid tempers getting the better of them? Gabriel yanked at his hair trying to piece together what happened.
It was entirely his fault. That he got. He shouldn’t have let his stupid insecurities come between the two of you and rule over his common sense. You wasn’t going to go fuck that doctor. He knew that! If you had waited that long for Gabriel to make a move on you then you wouldn’t go throw it all away for some older man (some loaded arrogant older man). He had to give you some credit there. Gabriel couldn’t even remember the last time that you had gone on a date until the two of you had became a couple.
“Fuck!”
Gabriel growled angrily. He was just starting to feel like his real self again. It had been a long time since he has felt that way too!! Gabriel didn’t know the last time that he has used that many pick up lines on someone the way he had you earlier that morning. Watching you blush bright red and having to make yourself pull away from him felt nice.
There was also the matter of his and Sarah’s son. Gabriel still didn’t know how he felt about that. He had a child that he knew nothing about and hadn’t seen. This also meant that he would have to somehow deal with Sarah! That was the last thing that he wanted to be doing but it looked like he was going to have to find someway to be able to do so.
“Fuck me sideways I have got to do something!”
Gabriel quickly got his keys and walked out the door. He was thankful that neither Cas nor Dean were in the living room. He didn’t want to deal with a mini Spanish Inquisition at the moment.
Arriving at the hospital, Gabriel didn’t know what in the world he would say to you. Hopefully winging it would be okay. He didn’t even know where the hell you were going to be at. Here he stood in a huge hospital looking for a doctor. Rolling his eyes he noticed the ER receptionist desk a few feet away. That would be a good place to start!
Walking up to the front desk in the emergency room the receptionist looked up from her computer grumpily.
“Can I help you?”
Gabriel looked around the room again before looking back to the woman.
“I need to see Dr. Y/n Novak.”
The receptionist looked down at her computer again.
“The reason?”
Gabriel frowned. The fuck was it this bitches business? Did she really want him to unload on her? Gabriel guessed that would be a big hell no. Trying to keep his temper down he smiled politely. Killing people with kindness was supposed to work better than being a complete ass right?
“I’m her boyfriend. It’s an emergency so can you kind of hurry it up?”
The receptionist looked slightly taken back but picked up her phone.
“Hold on.”
The woman turned moving to her phone dialing what Gabriel assumed was your number. Gabriel turned his back to the woman looking around the emergency room. He didn’t understand how you could do this job. After yours parents died in the awful car crash he never understood how you could look at sick or injured people the same way. Your parents deaths made Cas lose his serious grip on reality and live for the moment while it made you more driven. It was you that Gabriel had been worried about. Being a teenager and close to your parents should have affected you more than it did. Gabriel guessed in some ways you kept things bottled up where Cas just ripped up the book known as his life and went wild.
When the double doors opened and you stepped out, Gabriel felt his mouth drop when he saw all the blood on your scrubs. You looked beyond shocked to see Gabriel standing there…shocked and hurt. Your eyes looked at him closely, clearly searching for what kind of emergency was happening. Gabriel hated that look in your eyes as you walked over.
“What’s wrong?!! Is it Cas?! Is he alright?!”
Gabriel nodded.
“He’s fine. I need to talk to you.”
You frowned. You clearly didn’t want to hear anything that he had to say at the moment. Sure, you knew that you would have to face him that night when you got home. Deep down you were hoping that he would be asleep when you rolled. You could flop down on the couch and sleep until the next afternoon. That should have been enough time for Gabriel to calm his ass down (and you too).
“I’m kind of working Gabriel. What is the emergency?”
Gabriel sighed as the receptionist made a loud “uh huh!” He gave the woman a cold glare.
“All right I lied!! Sheesh nosy! Mind your own business will ya?”
Gabriel gave the receptionist another cold glare before physically moving so that he didn’t have to look at the hateful little troll of a woman.
“Y/n, I need to talk to you about earlier.”
You sighed but was amused by his hot headed response. That was your normal Gabriel.
“Want me to call security doctor?”
The troll lady asked again. Gabriel looked back to her again with a sneer.
“Don’t you have some papers to file or something?”
You shook your head.
“No. It’s fine. I have a few minutes. Come on Gabriel.”
Gabriel followed you to the almost empty waiting room sitting down. You sat down across from Gabriel who leaned forward taking your hands in his.
“Sugar I know you are mad. My attitude was awful at home. I didn’t mean anything I said. I’m sorry I said all that shit.”
You leaned back but didn’t let your hands leave Gabriel’s grasp.
“Then why did you say it?”
Gabriel shrugged..
“Why do we do anything we do when we are angry or in my case scared out of my ever loving mind? I was freaking out about everything that happened with Sarah. I freaked out when I realized that I am going to have to be sociable with her and with a kid that I know absurdity nothing about. I was…am afraid that it is going to affect us. I finally got what I wanted and now everything is falling apart. Y/n,you know I don’t do well with turmoil or drama.”
You pressed your lips together watching his facial expressions carefully.
“No, you don’t. You never have. Look Gabe, you know I hate Sarah. I think everyone in our house hates Sarah. If voodoo magic worked….she would be a dead woman. Cas already texted me and offered to pay some random Italian mob boss to make her mysteriously disappear. If that doesn’t tell you something I don’t know what will. Gabriel, I am not threatened by her anymore. Worried about how she is going to potentially treat you..yes. I am also concerned about this kid. What kind of lies has been spoon fed his whole life? Because you know as well as I do there has been a ton. The kid seemed fine enough to me earlier but that was just a physical exam. Mentally, I don’t know what is stewing up in there. What are we going to do,Gabe?”
Both of you were quiet for a moment. Gabriel moved to sit in the chair beside you. He took extra care to not break the physical contact that he had with you.
“Well, first things first, I am going to find me a lawyer. I guess that means I will be calling Michael tomorrow. I know that we agreed to see less of him but I think he will know what to do.”
Emma nodded. You didn’t like the idea of facing Gabriel’s older brother but the man was one of the best lawyers in town.
“Definitely a good decision. I hope he isn’t offended that none of us have talked to him since Thanksgiving. I feel bad for poor Sam. He has to be an ass to work for but Michael knows his shit.”
Gabriel sighed before focusing his attention back on you. You looked exhausted as you rested your chin on your hand.
“So what about us?”
He finally asked. Gabriel was afraid to hear the answer to this. What if you told him to get lost? There was no way that he could handle that and stay sane! You looked in his direction again.
“Gabriel, if you are concerned about me not wanting to be with you because of the kid than that is the craziest thing that you could possibly think. If Sarah thinks I am going to step aside and let her destroy you again the bitch better be gearing up for a fight. Look I’m sorry about all the shit I said earlier.”
Gabriel nodded.
“Me too. You didn’t deserve any of that.”
You smiled laying your head on his shoulder.
“I can totally believe that especially since you came down here to talk to me.”
Gabriel chuckled.
“You know I hate hospitals. How much longer do you have to go before you can get out of here?”
You looked down at your watch.
“About 5 hours. I didn’t want to sign up for a full 12 hour go around. Gabriel, I don’t want you to worry about Dr. Jones. There is absolutely nothing there. I want you ...just you.”
“I know. I trust you.”
You stood up knowing that you needed to get back to work Gabriel quickly stood wrapping his arms around her waist.
“Darlin, I I have to be crazy about you to be holding you all covered in someone’s blood.”
You laughed and stood on your tiptoes to press a kiss to his lips.
“Always the romantic.”
Gabriel gave you an eyebrow wiggle and muzzled his face against yours.
“I’m about to romance the pants off of you sugar. I’ll be up when you get home.”
You smiled looking completely happy now. That was the smile that Gabriel needed to know that everything was okay. He intertwined his hand with yours before walking out of the small waiting room. Gabriel’s attention focused on the troll receptionist who was still looking at him.
“That lady wasn’t hugged enough when she was little, huh?”
You put a hand over your mouth to stifle a giggle so that lady didn’t realize that Gabriel was talking about her.
“It sure seems that way. I’ll see you soon.”
Gabriel nodded, kissing you once more before walking out. You stood watching until he was clearly out of sight before turning and going back into the ER. Maybe the next few hours would go by quickly!

New McDanno fanfic!
Hey y’all, here’s my new fanfic, I hope you enjoy it!Stay tuned for the sequel chapters!
It was quiet when Steve walked into the 5-0 headquarters, he had spent the morning in court, testifying for their latest case at the new prosecutors request, normally his partner would do this, but he was currently visiting his parents in New Jersey so Steve had to do it, As he quickly looked at his watch, he saw it was past 12pm, which explained the quiet, the rest of his team was certainly on their lunch break, he quickly did the maths in his head to calculate the time in Jersey, maybe he could try and call Danny,he had been gone for almost a week and he really missed his partner "STEVE, STEVEN,Come on buddy!" Danny's voice came from Tani's office at the other end of the headquarters, what was going on?
"Danny?Back already, babe?I thought you were flying back next weekend, what happened?" Steve was at the door in a few strides and quickly entered the room without knocking, scanning the room for his partner His smiling face turned into a frown when he realized the sound came from the screen on the far wall of the office, the rest of his team sitting in front of the tv with big popcorn buckets
"What's going on here, guys? What are you watching?" « Told you guys he would be back soon and he wouldn’t be happy” Lou smiled with an I told you so expression Jr looked like a kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar, while Jerry looked deeply interested in his popcorn, looking everywhere but at him, only Tani had the balls to smirk, though a blush crept up her cheeks, “Well, see, boss, it all started when Jr here kept going on and on about your heroics in the field and how you were so strong and so amazing blah blah blah, “Oh really, thank you Jr” Steve smirked watching Jr, who blushed crimson instantly, man, he forgot how fun it was to make the new recruits squirm Tani continued: “So naturally I had to shut him up and I told him that while you were a great boss and commander, in many ways, Danny was the better detective and deserved more credit” Lou intervened “And of course this resulted in the kids fighting all week, so I asked Jerry to prepare us a few of your best moments, both of you and Danny, and now we’re rewiewing evidence to determine exactly which daddy is the best and the strongest, Not that I care but I just couldn’t stand listening to the kids bickering anymore” Steve shook his head, his team could be badasses when it came to being under fire and catching the worst criminals in the islands, but they also could act like stupid college students in a frat dorm “Ok, then who’s winning for now?” “We’re on a tie, after Lieutenant Williams flying into Korea to rescue you, and you flying into Colombia to rescue him, so we’re trying to break it now” Jr responded, looking at him before looking at Tani who smiled softly “Ok, then what are we waiting for, hit play and let’s find out who’s the strongest, a navy commander a Jersey cop” Steve said before taking a chair and sitting next to Jr, looking at the TV and stealing a handful of popcorn “Just one minute, boss” Tani said, fiddling with her phone for a few seconds, before putting it down and hitting play on the remote “Ok, here we go” “Steve, you son of a bitch, don’t you die on me now, you hear me?” Danny’s voice resonated in the room, and suddenly Steve found his eyes filling with tears hearing his partner’s desperate tone, Truth to be told, he had never looked into what happened that day, never requested the file or listened to the recordings, what use could it be for him, he’d been there, lost a liver, gained a new liver and nearly died, he didn’t need to know anything else, Oh but how wrong he had been, he clearly had missed out a few important details, like how this had also impacted his partner’s life Yeah, Steve had acted like a selfish prick, as Catherine had called him in one of their phone conversations during his convalescence Steve watched in horror at the screen, it was a news flash info showing the beach being cleared out, the plane coming closer and closer, before crashing on the beach, Danny’s discussion with the control tower resonated in the speakers, the guy asking Danny to land in the water, Danny refusing to do it, choosing to put the plane on the beach, to leave a chance to Steve to survive, at the risk of his own life, then Danny coming out of the plane, yelling at his team to come get Steve, that he was still alive, clutching his own ribs, walking with difficulty, but still yelling and fighting for his partner and best friend Damn, he never realized how brave Danny had been, of course he knew his partner always had his back but he knew that in that plane, while he was unconscious, Danny had been left fighting for both their lives, and yet he never hesitated, he chose the best option for Steve, never even giving a second thought for his own life, for his kids, for his family, he had been ready to put everything at risk for a little chance for Steve to be safe, damn that took some courage, the kind of bravery that even some of the best of the best seals wouldn’t have been capable of; Steve looked at his hands in shame, all the times he had made fun of Danny, ribbing him about his height, his moody grumpy attitude, damn, he’d even went as far as telling him his son would grow up to hate him like he did, just hours after Danny had saved his life twice, by landing the plane on the beach then by giving him a piece of a vital organ, his mom would have slapped him good, if he’d heard him being so ungrateful while growing up. “Here is Lara Hough, reporting live from Honolulu, Hawaii, where a reduced 5-0 team is currently in operation, Earlier in the day, Commander McGarrett, head of the 5-0 special force has been injured while undercover on a mission, which resulted in his team continuing the case without him, his second in command Lieutenant Williams, who earlier in the day landed the plane carrying the injured Commander, acting as head of the force for the rest of the case, even though he appears to be injured himself, if the way he is walking is any indication As you can hear, and see, the firefight seems to have now ended and the team is currently walking out with their prisonners, let’s see if we can talk to Lieutenant Williams or Lieutenant Kelly to get more informations” But before the reporter could even call out to the team, the camera panned to Danny, his face bloody and tired, still clutching at his ribs, talking on the phone, speaking a few words to Kono and Chin, before getting into the camaro and driving off like a racedriver “Well, it looks like the force team has received an important message and must move now, so we will try and catch up with them later, let’s wait for the head of the HPD Duke Lukela, to give us more details on this case” Steve didn’t wait for the end before he took the remote from Tani’s hands, switching off the TV “Ok, I get it, Danny wins this one, guys”Steve said, looking at the young ones, “I agree, sir, that was seriously badass” Jr added, looking like a kid meeting one of his superheros Steve nodded, his mind still couldn’t process how this small haole cop could be so jaw dropping amazing, he knew he’d made a great choice in picking Danny, the man was loyal, protective, sweet, a wonderful father, a great cop, his best friend but man, this was exceeding his craziest expectations, Danno was just awesome, as Charlie would say, and Steve could only nod, the kid was right about that, his partner was just awesome and he wondered how he could have been so lucky to draw his gun on him 9 years ago, yet so blind not to be grateful for his luck Yeah, making Danny his partner was clearly the best decision Steve had ever made, and suddenly he knew what he needed, what he’d needed all along, he had to go see him, he had to talk with Danny, and he couldn’t wait for the weekend, he had to go to him, maybe he could go home early today, pack a few things and call the base to see if he could get a flight on a navy plane, that way he wouldn’t have to wait for the next flight out of the island to the mainland, Maybe he could call the base now, see what he could do to go see Danny as soon as possible, maybe he could even see if the Governor could lend him his private plane, after all the team needed his second in command to work properly, maybe…. “Boss?” Tani’s voice interrupted his thoughts, “Your plane leaves in an hour, I’ve saved you a seat, Lou will drive you to the airport, Jr will take care of Eddie until you both come home, and you already have a bag of clothes in the camaro’s truck, so off you go, go get your boy” Steve just smiled softly at her, standing up, kissing her on the cheek quickly, murmuring his thanks, before fleeing the office with Lou behind him, muttering something about idiots in love making him run, Jerry excused himself, with a boyish grin and an admirative smile directed at Tani Jr just looked at Tani with wide eyes “When did you get him a plane ticket?” “When he came into the room and took a seat to watch with us, remember I was on my phone for a few minutes? I was on the airlines website, booked him a seat then” “How did you know he would want to go to Jersey?” “Boys are so thick, seriously babe, you want to be a cop, you have to learn to observe things more closely, Steve ran in because he heard Danny’s voice, you’ve seen how they both are with each other, how close they are, they both are head over heels over each other but they were too stupid to admit it, so it was up to us to push them in the right direction, mission accomplished, tada!” Jr just shook his head “You are good, remind me never to doubt you again” Tani smiled proudly “And don’t you forget it, now forgive me I have to go call Kono and settle a little bet, oh and would you like to have dinner with me tonight, as a date I mean?” Jr blushed, before nodding his head and smiling at her “Good, then pick me up at 7pm?See ya later,Junior”Tani winked at him before exiting the room, her phone already on her ear “Yo Kono, guess what? You owe me 200$, yup I did it….”
Now alone in the room, Jr took a few minutes to look at the file Jerry had bought in with him, going through it quickly, he had to admit that while Steve McGarrett was clearly a model for Navy seals, if he wanted to make a career into 5-0, it was Danny Williams he should look to emulate, his track record and experience were unbeaten, he now understood why Steve had asked Danny to take Jr on the field, he knew everything about being a Navy Seal, but he had to learn how to be a cop, to be any good at this job. He clearly needed to apologize to Lieutenant Williams for the way he disregarded his career and importance in the team, his place as Second in command in the force was clearly well deserved. Shaking his head in amazement, Jr put the file back in the desk drawer, before making his way out of the HQ, Since there was no pressing case, Jr decided to leave early, he had to go to Steve’s house, pick up Eddie, maybe go for a swim or a run for a while to manage his anxiety, then get ready, he had a date tonight with the perfect lady.

________
After Emma stormed out the door Gabriel and Cas stood in an awkward silence. Cas finally looked to his friend.
“Well are you gonna go after her?”
Gabriel gave Cas a glare before turning and walking in the opposite direction. Cas remanding looking in the place where his best friend and sister stood a moment longer before shrugging and going back to his and Dean’s room. He couldn’t be the one that fixed everything between Gabriel and Emma. They would have to learn to fix their issues on their own.
“I don’t know why I fool with either one of them.”
He muttered shutting the door behind him.
Meanwhile, Gabriel stormed into his and Emma’s bedroom also slamming the door before beginning to pace. Did he and Emma really just have this argument? Did they really just break up over their stupid tempers getting the better of them? Gabriel yanked at his hair trying to piece together what happened.
It was entirely his fault. That he got. He shouldn’t have let his stupid insecurities come between them and rule over his common sense. Emma wasn’t going to go fuck that doctor. If she had waited that long for Gabriel to make a move on her she wouldn’t go throw it all away for some older man. He had to give Emma credit there. Gabriel couldn’t even remember the last time that she had gone on a date until they had became a couple.
“Fuck!”
There was also the matter of his and Sarah’s son. Gabriel still didn’t know how he felt about that. He had a child that he knew nothing about and hadn’t seen. This also meant that he would have to somehow deal with Sarah! That was the last thing that he wanted to be doing but it looked like that he was going to have to find someway to be able to do so.
“Fuck me sideways I have got to do something!”
Gabriel quickly got his keys and walked out the door. He was thankful that neither Cas nor Dean were in the living room. He didn’t want to deal with a mini Spanish Inquisition at the moment.
Arriving at the hospital Gabriel didn’t know what in the world he would say to Emma. Hopefully winging it would be okay. He didn’t even know where the hell Emma was going to be at.
Emma Novak.”
“Hold on.”
The woman turned moving to her phone dialing what Gabriel assumed was Emma’s number. Gabriel turned his back to the woman looking around the emergency room. He didn’t understand how Emma could do this job. After her and Cas’s parents died in the awful car crash he never understood how Emma could look at sick or injured people the same way. Their parents deaths made Cas lose his serious grip on reality and live for the moment while it made Emma more driven. It was Emma that Gabriel had been worried about. Being a teenager and close to her parents should have affected her more than it did. Gabriel guessed in some ways she kept things bottled up where Cas just ripped up the book known as his life and went wild.
When the double doors opened and Emma stepped out Gabriel felt his mouth drop when he saw all the blood on his lover’s scrubs. She looked beyond shocked to see Gabriel standing there…shocked and hurt. Her blue eyes looked at him closely. Clearly searching for what kind of emergency was happening. Gabriel hated that look in her eyes as she walked over.
“What’s wrong?!! Is it Cas?! Is he alright?!”
Gabriel nodded.
“He’s fine. I need to talk to you.”
Emma frowned. She clearly didn’t want to hear anything that he had to say.
“Emma I need to talk to you about earlier.”
Emma sighed but was amused by his hot headed response. That was her normal Gabriel.
“Want me to call security doctor?”
The troll lady asked again. Gabriel looked back to her again with a sneer.
“Don’t you have some papers to file or something?”
Emma shook her head.
“No. It’s fine. I have a few minutes. Come on Gabriel.”
Gabriel followed Emma to the almost empty waiting room sitting down. Emma sat down across from Gabriel who leaned forward taking her hands in his.
“Sugar I know you are mad. My attitude was awful at home. I didn’t mean anything I said. I’m sorry I said all that shit.”
Emma leaned back but didn’t let her hands leave Gabriel’s grasp.
“Then why did you say it?”
Gabriel sighed.
“Why do we do anything we do when we are angry or in my case scared out of my ever loving mind? I was freaking out about everything that happened with Sarah. Realizing that I am going to have to be sociable with her on a kid I know absurdity nothing about. I was…am afraid that it is going to affect us. I finally got what I wanted and now everything is falling apart. Em you know I don’t do well with turmoil or drama.”
Emma pressed her lips together watching his facial expression carefully.
“No, you don’t. You never have. Look Gabe, you know I hate Sarah. I think everyone in our house hates Sarah. If voodoo magic worked….she would be a dead woman. Cas was ready to go pay some random Italian mob boss to make her mysteriously disappear if that doesn’t tell you something I don’t know what will. Gabriel, I am not threatened by her anymore. Worried about how she is going to potentially treat you..yes. I am also concerned about this kid. What kind of lies has been spoon fed his whole life? Because you know as well as I do there has been a ton. Alex seemed fine enough to me earlier but that was just a physical exam. Mentally I don’t know what is stewing up in there. What are we going to do Gabe?”
Both were quiet for a moment. Gabriel moved to sit in the chair beside Emma. He took extra care to not break the physical contact that he had with her.
“Well first things first, I am going to find me a lawyer.”
Emma nodded.
“Definitely a good decision. I know a few from college that are actually pretty good.”
Gabriel sighed before focusing his attention back on Emma. The poor thing looked exhausted as she rested her chin on her hand.
“So what about us?”
He finally asked. Emma looked in his direction again.
“Gabriel if you are concerned about me not wanting to be with you because of the kid that is the craziest thing that you could possibly have going through your mind. If Sarah thinks I am going to step aside and let her destroy you again the bitch better be gearing up for a fight. Look I’m sorry about all the shit I said earlier.”
Gabriel nodded.
“Me too. You didn’t deserve any of that.”
Emma smiled laying her head on his shoulder.
“Well I can totally believe that especially since you came down here to talk to me.”
Gabriel chuckled.
“You know I hate hospitals. How much longer do you have to go before you can get out of here?”
Emma looked down at her watch.
“About 5 hours. I didn’t want to sign up for a full 12 hour go around. Gabriel I don’t want you to worry about Dr. Jones. There is absolutely nothing there. I want you….just you.”
“I know. I trust you.”
Emma stood up knowing that she needed to get back to work before her pager started going off. Gabriel quickly stood wrapping his arms around her waist.
“Darlin I I have to be crazy about you to be holding you all covered in someone’s blood.”
Emma laughed standing on her tiptoes to press a kiss to his lips.
“Always the romantic.”
Gabriel gave her an eye brow wiggle before nuzzling his face against hers.
“I’m about to romance the pants off of you sugar. I’ll be up when you get home.”
Emma smiled looking completely happy now. That was the smile that Gabriel needed to know that everything was okay. He intertwined his hand with hers before walking out of the small waiting room. Gabriel’s attention focused on the troll receptionist who was looking at them.
“That lady wasn’t hugged enough when she was little huh?”
Emma put a hand over her mouth to stifle a giggle so that lady didn’t realize that they were talking about her.
“It sure seems that way. I’ll see you soon.”
Gabriel nodded kissing her once more before walking out. Emma stood watching until he was clearly out of sight before turning and going back into the ER. Maybe the next few hours would go by quickly!
