I want to combine my two favorite unhinged fan theory factories into one:

Gil-galad is Adar's son

Okay, now that I have your attention, let's go on a journey that starts with two things:

Thing the first: I really love people's unhinged theories that Adar is a canon character. I don't think he is; I think he's just some guy that Rings of Power made up but it amuses me to no end when people come up with convoluted theories to make him a guy from canon.

Thing the second: The Silmarillion fandom has a long-standing in-joke about who Gil-galad's father really is. Christopher Tolkien told us that it was Fingon in the Silmarillion and later regretted it, because there was so much confusion in his father's notes on the subject and so many different candidates. Cue all kinds of cracky theories of who Gil galad's gil-gal-dad is. I would like to submit mine.

How does this theory work?

Well it's quite simple actually. Adar and some elven thrall lady hit it off in Angband and have a kid together kinda by accident through weird Angband-based magic. That is a problem because now she's got this like elf-looking baby that has black blood and also Angband is no place for an elf-looking baby. This could get them both into extremely capital 'b' - Bad - trouble.

So, Adar takes that baby and he sneaks into an elven camp and he does that old movie trope where he leaves the baby on the doorstep and then makes a noise so that that people inside the house will hear it. Only this time, it's a war tent and the person inside is Fingon.

Fingon picks up this adorable baby and the baby kind of looks like him and he's like well - I could adopt this baby right? So he goes back to a fort with this baby and Fingolfin takes one look at his son and takes one look at that baby and says to himself "my very gay son did probably did not produce this baby. However, it is probably the only grandchild I will get from him and he is my heir." So welcome home, son and grandson.

Is there any evidence?

Exhibit A: The GIF set that started it all. Look at the similarities! Connect the dots! And thank you, @fukutomichi, for starting off this crazy unhinged theory.

Exhibit B: During Season 2, Episode 1 "Elven Kings Under the Sky", there is a moment where the camera lingers on Adar while Gil-galad is singing his song. Now they actually probably did that because they wanted to remind the audience that Adar was formerly an elf, but this is an unhinged theory, so we're going to ignore the obvious reason they did that and assume that they're trying to connect them for some reason. Yes, that's right. They're trying to tell us that Gil-galad is Adar's son.

Exhibit C: Their their armor matches. The gorget that Gil-galad is wearing in Season 1, Episode 5 "Partings" is a perfect match to the river pattern that Adar is wearing on his armor. Coincidence? Normally, I'd say yes, but in this unhinged theory, I think not.

Exhibit D: In one version of the story, Gil-galad is his mother-name. Is that because his father-name is not elven? Is it because it's potentially uruk in origin?! And don't come at me with that Ereinion nonsense."Scion of kings?"* Sounds like someone's trying to underline a point there, eh? Almost like they're worried people won't think he's kingly enough.

Exhibit E: Gil-galad, despite ample time and opportunity, never marries or produces an heir. Why? Because he knows. He knows that if he does, some one will be close enough to learn his deep, dark secret: he has black blood and his child might too.

Are there holes in this theory? Absolutely; all the evidence is circumstantial at best. Do I care? Nope. This is for the pure, unhinged fun of it. Anyhow, if you need me I'll be headcanoning this for the rest of the run of Rings of Power until they show me Gil-galad's blood, mmmkay?

Eldritchstrings Event Sign-Ups Open!!

Hi! Are you looking for some Apothy fun in these trying times of no new Apothesosis episodes? Wanna get together with other toxic yuri fans to make something swag? This post is to let you know that sign-ups are now open for the Eldritchstrings Event - an event centered on Exandroth and Rumi!!

This event is solely being run by @burning-sol (me) and @exandr0th-0f-viscera (my headmate). It probably won't be that large-scale, and we'll be kind of loose with management as we get an idea of what the members involved want from the event in terms of development and a final product. Our biggest rules are to HAVE FUN and TRY YOUR BEST!! If you don't feel like you're having fun, then this event is officially so joever.

Who can join?

If I've blocked you that's probably a bad sign... Obviously. But other than that, no limitations we can think of! Just know that Xander and I are pro-endo and pro-mspec lesbians; so if that gives you the impression you wouldn't gel well with the group, it's best to steer clear. All we ask of our participants is that they'll...!

Communicate clearly, and consciously try to take others in good faith.

At the least tolerate their cohorts if they can't outright get along with them.

AND, most importantly, they'll reach out to us if there are any issues!! It is no bother and it's actively better for the collective if you're open about anything that may have come up :3

What's the estimated time frame?

Sign-Ups close November 16th! ..however, the time frame for development and publishing will be up to participants to decide - with that process of consultation concluding before 2025.

At the LATEST the deadline for the works themselves will be July 31st, which will leave time for the editors to finesse the final product and publish it August 27th... (the anniversary of the first Eldritchstrings post!) So if you think you could make something by July 31st, even if you're initially busy, join the sign-ups!

If you miss it you will NOT be let into the event late, unfortunately. But no worries, because if the event goes well then there's a high probability another will be held in the future! :D

What contributions are we looking for?

Firstly, anyone who can help with visual design, editing, accessibility and publishing otherwise would be appreciated! There's also room for people who have general experience overseeing events and/or those who would like to help with promotion.

There will also (potentially) be groups, so if all you wanna do is hang around in case a pinch-hitter is needed, you can do that!

In terms of those submitting work to the event, ANY form of art goes! You may want to submit something like...

Fan-fiction, poetry, essays..

I fully agree with you that they would have this hypothetical conflict before they start dating, if Taco is to run back into the woods. I think that by the time they do formally get together, they will have built up enough trust and, just as importantly, communication and conflict resolution skills, that Taco won't run off if they do argue.

OOOO, angry smooches!! Okay, full disclosure, I am very asexual so I do not give nor receive mouth kisses, but I have seen this in fanfictions so I get what you're going for and agree with it for pre-romantic tacomic!!! These two have a lot to learn about proper communication with a romantic partner <3 (or in Taco's case, just in general). Yeah, I can see them making out mid-argument, though I would say I'd have to see Mic starting it between their height difference and the greater ease in which she gives physical affection. Yeah, if they're arguing and Taco starts getting intense in her self-loathing, Mic would totally just start kissing her. They make out for a bit, snap out of it, and then Taco is out of there. I can see them avoiding each other too after an argument, later down the line, but for this rather early (I'd say their first since they reunited) argument, I think Taco would be so panicked that she'd run right away.

Knife and Soap would probably go for taking care of Mic first, since she's still in the mansion (and would be their first priority anyways)!! Also!! They do not know where Taco went. Mic is the one who best knows the places in the woods that Taco would frequent, although I'm very willing to bet that even she doesn't knows all of Taco's haunts, but she isn't ready to talk things out with Taco right away because of the intense emotions she's feeling!!! I'd say they wait for Taco to come back on her own, but she just... doesn't. And after a few days it's a serious concern?? Mic is super worried, even quite a few of the other former contestants are worried at this point. And Mic goes out in to the woods to fi just kidding you are not getting through this post without me including propaganda and in this it will be Toico!!!!!!!!!! Don't get me wrong, Mic does go out and look for Taco, namely by turning up her volume and trying to call for her!! But this is Taco, and she is very scared after they argued, so she's using Mic's voice as a warning to avoid an area rather than as a beacon to follow.

SO! Toico!!! Toilet would just stumble across Taco I think. He would be helping to look for her, he wants to be helpful and of course they're already kind of friends since they both miss Mepad a lot and were quite close with him and he was the only person who- okay sorry back to your idea that I've already propaganda'd enough. I can stay on track!!!!!! Anyways, I think Toilet is a really good object to find her though!! He has. Made some mistakes too!! He killed a bunch of them!! He messes up all the time, and no one's kicked him out!! So Taco can come back and talk to Mic and it'll be okay. But it's different for Taco because she's malicious and this was her second chance and she messed it up!! And an entire spiral of self-loathing!!!!^^ But you know what? She's been pretty nice to Toilet. And Mepad liked her, so she can't be all bad, yeah? Blah blah moral of the story here keep going even after you make a mistake. Mic can find them after this, once Toilet has helped Taco calm down a bit at least, and the two can talk things out in private, regarding their argument, the kissing, and Taco running away afterwards. It's an important step in their relationship!!! <3

Okay let's face it, you're shy and quiet, and in all my headcanons Angeldust is always more patient than most people would expect. Besides "scary and cold looking = HOT AND DANGEROUS" to Angeldust.

When you first met there were the normal Angeldust shenanigans, absolutely unafraid to let you know that he's attracted to you. It's when he realizes that you're shy that really makes his heart absolutely melt. You. Are. Adorable. He's going to take advantage of this fact and see how flustered he can get you.

This spider absolutely loves making all of the "draw me like one of ya french girls~" jokes when you're doing art. But there's just something relaxing about being able to spend time with you and just watch you create something. You bet that he's bragging about your work too.

While your refusal to ask for help drives him up a wall, it's okay because that won't stop him from helping you anyway. It might be a little rocky at the beginning of your relationship and lead to some arguments but once he figures out how to read you, it's all over for you friend. YOU'RE GONNA TAKE HIS HELP AND YOU'RE GONNA LIKE IT.

Also guess whose gonna help you work on your confidence? That's right, this spider. You're hot in his eyes and he's determined to make you own it. "Chubby" Might be a flaw to you but to Angeldust? Shoutout for probably the most detailed propaganda submitted!

As another character canonically said: "They are accustomed to fighting as a team". And he was right. As many tumblr bloggers have pointed out: "they're always fighting back to back and covering the other's blind spot". And all those people are right.

Jesus and Judas coded, Vash explicitly said that he “wanted to share his tomorrows” with Wolfwood, have risked their lives for each other, the church scene: they shared a bottle of alcohol labeled “Bride”, confetti rained down on them, and the church bells rang.

I almost clicked on canon because I forgot the strong subtext is still subtext. There's so much wedding imagery in their last scenes together I have to remind myself they're not actually married. They make each other better, they save each other's lives or each other's dreams, they take care of each other's burdens. Their final scene together is implied to be a wedding L O L

Must a couple kiss or have a declaration of love to be an official canon couple? Is it not enough for them to (canonically) want to spend the rest of their life together? Is it not enough for them to (canonically) notice each other's smiles and be happy when the smiles come from real happiness and be content and relaxed in each other's presence? Is it not enough for them to (canonically) risk their life to protect each other's life and each other's home? Is it not enough for one of them to (canonically) break free from the cult that gave him life-long trauma to save the other? Is it not enough for the other to (canonically) be ready to die to protect the one who betrayed him, who saved him, who risked it all to break him free from months-long torture? Is it not enough for them to (canonically) share their last scene next to each other in front on a church while the bell rings and confettis fall and they're holding a bottle whose brand is "Bride"? Is it not enough for the one who's dying to (canonically) stop the other's last words to him? Who'd want their partner to become a literal widower on their figurative wedding day? Tell me, should I have clicked on "canon" instead? Is it not enough for them to (canonically) fight incredibly in synch from the very first time they fight together? Is it not enough for them to (canonically) be okay with letting the other fight by himself what he needs to fight by himself, because they both know the other needs it, but be ready to finish what the other can't? Is it not enough for them to (canonically) have fighting styles that complement each other? Is it not enough for other characters to (canonically) see them and immediately think that they're "accustomed to fighting as a team"? Is it not enough for them to be pitcher and catcher, positions often called husband and wife, in the author's own official high school baseball AU? Is it not enough for the author to call them soulmates in the presentation of his own official high school baseball AU?

oh my god…my Shayla…my Shayla…my shy baby…Skylar is a transformers human oc of mine!! She’s sorta established a home with her brother at the autobots base and become a part of the family in a way. Considering she was an orphan and such so most have grown fond of her. *cough* Bee *cough* And has become an often victim of tickles do to her most of the time asking for it despite being embarrassed by it. Or simply fallen into other’s traps. Usually is hiding in her own sweater and hoodie despite loving everyone second of affection and sillyness. I need her tummy to get raspberried as soon as possible it’s the law.

I'd like to know if there's anything you'd like to do with Aburame Chiyako, even if it's a project that's infeasible for you? (she's my favorite character to come out of DoS, bar Shikako herself)

I also love Chiyako: she is one of those parts of DoS that just really hit home about how much consideration and detail SQ put into making Naruto into a full and expansive world. And also she is very cute.

I did write what’s behind (and what’s before) which is Chiyako-centric, but that doesn’t really lend itself to further expansion/installments. Or, at least, none that interest me at this moment in time.

As I mentioned before, I would maybe want to do a Chiyako POV in the bleak!Primadonna-verse, mostly because it would be a lens to do further political shenanigans—what with Chiyako being the heiress to the Aburame but also, now a fully fledged adult jounin with a team of genin, some of whom would ALSO allow me to frame political shenanigans. But I suppose, just being able to write that team would be fun even without the bleak!Primadonna-verse.

A but to that but, though, is I don’t really know what that plot would look like—if it’s a mission fic, what mission is it? Or if it’s a time/dimension travel when/where do they go? Or, are they the “hosts” receiving the wayward travelers? In which case, who are those travelers? Since it’s Chiyako, I would assume Shino and Shikako because I will forever, forever, love JohnBurtonLee’s I Got You their dynamic in that is SO GOOD. SO PERFECT. A+ fic forever, forever. However, for symmetry’s sake, maybe it should be a different Team Eight—either the canon one we see with Team Kurenai, or my headcanon Team Hana with Chiyako, Hanabi, and Ranmaru.

I feel like I’m not being fair to her. Because god knows I’ve spun off at least a half dozen varying concepts around Aoba, for example, but it’s like… she is one of the rare cases where meeting Shikako has given her stability in her life? Like… most other characters when meeting Shikako are thrust into wild situations and are forced to either adapt or submit to the chaos pretty quickly. But for Chiyako she: has a cool new role model, doesn’t get bullied anymore, a regular invite to the kunoichi club, playdate/training sessions with several of her classmates (and possible future teammates) who seem to like her back. There’s not much drama there…

I mean, there’s clan politics that could be interesting—but I also feel like the Aburame are so logical/steady that there’s not much drama there either?

Ooh, I guess there could be like… a Chiyako-centric fic (feat. Hanabi) which nominally is a Team Hana fic but is actually about how Chiyako and Hanabi are foils for each other. Heiresses to their clans instead of their older siblings, but with vastly different relationships with said older siblings. Their respective clans themselves are similarly foils of each other: the Aburame reviled externally but internally warm with each other, the Hyuuga with their pretty privilege and position of being Konoha’s current most powerful bloodlimit allowing them to get away with a literal slave/torture seal. And of Team Hana they do have the sun-coded vs moon-coded vibes of the team.

Hm, yeah, I think something exploring Chiyako and Hanabi’s dynamic would be the most compelling to me—whether that is in a “canon” fic or a warring clans era AU or the bleak!Primadonna-verse or…

Okay, so this may be because I’ve been reading a lot of trash manhua lately, but I think that dynamic would be best displayed in that one unnamed royalty/nobility Shikaara AU (in which the tabloids have made minor-nobility!Shikako and youngest-brother-of-the-Sand-Queen!Gaara literally bumping into each other during Temari’s coronation the sort of fairytale romance of the century). BUT instead it would be about, a different aspect of the AU in which two young duchesses-to-be maneuver the difficulties of being nobility and teenage girls and also, unfortunately, paparazzi exist.

goo literally made a video that was like 3 hours.long which was dedicated to bot's new identity after they said they were a robot and weren't "bow" and also they both have their own silly little alliance in the show called "The Cheer Factory" ❗❗❗ cmon theyre like. theyre literally like two little kids in a trenchcoat/silly theyrefound family siblings to me

Naruto & Umino:

everyone in the village hated naruto since the day he was born bc of the demon that lives in his insides somewhere (this sounds crazy if you haven't seen the show but trust me here). iruka was his teacher at school. when everyone was graduating, naruto failed and some side character told him that if he stole a secret scroll he'd pass (since he failed). they were using him tho, and were planning on killing him (i think). and then iruka goes after him and finds him with the scroll before the other person did, and was the first person to actively defend naruto, and was the first person to believe him and see him as the person he was (he's like 12 here btw). and then, iruka always acts as a father figure to naruto, and at the very end of the series, when naruto gets married, he asks iruka to be his father at his wedding. i cried like a little bitch and i swear to god i just lvoe them so much. i doubt anyone will submit them butAAAAAA. ALSO IRUKA PASSED HIM IN THE END AND GAVE HIM HIS OWN FUCKING HEADBAND!!! SOBS AND CRIES AND SCREAMS

iruka was the first person to ever believe in naruto. it’s mentioned throughout the story how much of an impact iruka had on naruto just by believing in him, and it’s super sweet. the real kicker is that at the end of the show, naruto asks iruka to play the role of his father at his wedding, and i will never not cry about it!! literally look at them!!! never shutting up about this!!

About the AU

So what is Warrior Cats x Kingdom Hearts AU is about?

Well its about Kingdom Hearts but the characters are kitties, following the sames rules as in Warrior Cats such as clans, warrior code, starclan, etc... Why? Idk I love both universe so much so I decided to mix both!

Just a little reminder; this AU uses my OCs, so its kinda an AU of an AU? But it's not driving too far from the games, except that KH4 don't exist in the AU (at least for now)

Also there will be some; canon x canon, oc x canon and oc x oc ships, so don't even complain about that, you have been warned. If you have any problems with it, keep it to yourself.

!!Besides some warnings!!: This AU is pretty much realistic injuries wise, such as death, blood etc... If you're familiar with Warrior Cats you know they don't spare gruesome details about character's death. *ahem* Tigerstar *ahem*

So if you're pretty much sensible to this I'll be using the tags: #blood, #gore or #death, so make sure to block it in your settings! :)

So I come with a new canon incest recommendation! :D

IDK how this tumblr feels about straight-male-directed dating sims (personally I actually really love them?? :') Or at least the moe anime ones haha!) but I've been really impressed with this one so far and I think it'd appeal to at least some of your followers!

The VN is called Sankaku Ren'ai: Love Triangle Trouble, and it's fundamentally about a group of anime/game otaku who go to high school together, but with the twist that the romantic cast is split into two sets of love triangles: one between the main character's childhood best friend and a new girl, and another between the MC's step-sister and blood-related sister.

The story is that the MC's parents divorced while he and his little sister (Suzu) were young, and they were separated to each live with one parent, never seeing each other. In the meantime, the MC's dad remarried another woman with a daughter, thus the step-sister. But recently the biological mother died, so now the blood-related sister has come back to live with her estranged brother and father.

The VN actually goes into a lot of detail about the awkwardness and difficulty of the entire situation, with the new sisters having to adapt to living together (but they do fundamentally get along!), and the MC and sister reconfiguring how they relate to one another now that they're no longer children!

Also, a lot of VNs with blood-related heroines just sorta... side-step the whole incest taboo thing by having everyone around be totally okay with it? (Which is fine but not really my style.) But this one actually does a surprisingly good job juggling the real drama of the situation with the basically light-hearted and comedic feel of the story overall! Like, when the step-sister finds out that Suzu has romantic feelings for her brother, she doesn't react super badly or whatever, but she doesn't know what to say!!! She's just like 'wtf I'm a weeb with 0 romantic experience. what am I even supposed to say because. um this is. like legit incest here right???' and it's just. quiet and uncomfortable and weird but she still cares about her and ahh it's just the right amount of angst for me haha??

Also Suzu is just!!! so so cute with how much she loves and admires her niisan!!! And the whole story has revealed to me how much I love a particular dynamic haha, where the younger one is sorta trying to make legit romantic overtures subtly but the older one is Convinced that they're imagining it and making things so Weird with their Gross Attraction but they also can't deny anything their little sib asks for~~~ <3

If you don't want to buy the whole VN, VGVNGamer is doing a (almost commentary-less) readthrough of it on youtube!

So yeah IDK if this'll appeal to anyone else haha, but I'm really enjoying it so I hope at least one other person can, too! :)
