So fun fact, RAC-BOT is powered by chaos energy, usually using Chaos Drives or one of the Chaos Emeralds as a battery.
So it was only a matter of time before I actually drew a Super form for it.

The original meaning of the term "Final Girl," from 1987's "Her Body, Himself: Gender in the Slasher Film" by Carol J. Clover, was "a woman who is a sole survivor of a group who are chased by the villain, and who gets the final confrontation with said villain [whether she wins or not is not considered] because of some implied moral superiority." As an example, Jamie Lee Curtis's character of Laurie Strode in 1978's Halloween is the sole survivor of the teenagers that Michael Myers hunts, and gets the climactic scene with him, though she's not the one who defeats him. Her character is the only one of her friend group who does not (onscreen at least) partake in drugs, alcohol or sexual activity.
The term "final girl" has expanded over the years, often losing the moral superiority clause (see: Sidney Prescott in Scream, Maxine in X) or having other survivor(s) so long as the girl gets the final confrontation (the sisters in the recent Scream movies, Dana Polk in Cabin in the Woods). The most common deviation is losing the moral superiority clause, with the characters either being just as moral as their group or even being morally in the wrong but still surviving as a subversion or deconstruction of the trope. A common addition is a prior connection to the villain, though this is not necessary.
With all that being said,
As always, Girl is a gender-neutral term when it comes to having fun. I decided not to count Knuckles because we don't know his full backstory in-game and the word-of-god answer is that his species died of disease, and also because he'd be the funny answer everyone would pick immediately so that doesn't count guys.
Important Notes to Consider:
Tikal:
Last Survivor: Somewhat. Other echidnas seem to have survived Chaos's attack, but Tikal was the last character alive shown onscreen, and the only other named characters in her time period did not survive.
Final Confrontation: Applies. She is the one to seal Chaos into the Master Emerald.
Moral Superiority: Applies. She's the only one in her tribe willing to stand up to her warmongering dad.
Shadow:
Last Survivor: Applies. While some people seem to have escaped the ARK massacre (like the Commander), all other named characters are either killed or captured and killed afterwards.
Final Confrontation: Debatable. There isn't actually a singular monster attacking the ARK, instead it's the entire military. Shadow however does get a confrontation with the Biolizard and later with Black Doom. Do they count for this though? You decide.
Moral Superiority: Not Applicable. Shadow isn't inherently morally above or below the other people on the ARK who died.
Cosmo:
Last Survivor: Mostly Applies. She is the last survivor specifically of her species. Everyone else in the Sonic Crew survives to the final confrontation, but her species is toast.
Final Confrontation: Applies. Cosmo is the last to interact with Dark Oak in the initial genocide, and the one to eventually defeat him (along with Tails, but really it was Cosmo's sacrifice that actually killed him).
Moral Superiority: Not Applicable. The rest of her species are portrayed as innocent and undeserving of their fate, and her survival was purely due to her fear making her accept a deal with Dark Oak and the implication that he's her father.
Silver:
Last Survivor: Mostly Applies. He and Blaze are the only seen survivors of Iblis's assault. Blaze absorbs Iblis and dips, but Silver does have a fight with Solaris in the final ending.
Final Confrontation: Somewhat. Blaze and Silver both boss fight Iblis, and Blaze gets the final confrontation and defeat. However, Silver partakes in the defeat of Solaris, who technically is Iblis.
Moral Superiority: Not Applicable. Silver isn't given moral superiority towards anyone who dies.
Sonic Forces Avatar:
Last Survivor: Somewhat. Avatar is the last survivor of their village due to them fleeing from Infinite. They join up with a group following this and assist Sonic in defeating Infinite.
Final Confrontation: Somewhat. Sonic is also there.
Moral Superiority: Debatable. Like Cosmo, the other civilians are portrayed as innocent and Avatar only escapes due to their perceived cowardice. They are shown to be Extra Special Besties with Sonic which helps them defeat Infinite through the power of Love, so that may count?
Whisper:
Last Survivor: Mostly Applies. Whisper is the last Diamond Cutter after Mimic kills her entire squad and betrays them. She goes solo until eventually confronting Mimic and then helping found a reformed Diamond Cutters.
Final Confrontation: Debatable. Mimic is still an active threat in the comics, but Whisper did get a climactic confrontation with him in Tangle & Whisper.
Moral Superiority: Not Applicable. Whisper only survived because Claire requested she stay behind due to her intuition.
Sonic in '06 specifically:
Last Survivor: Mostly Applies. Sonic is the only character who remembers that the '06 timeline occurred, making him the technical only survivor of its events. Ignore the fact he died at one point, he got better.
Final Confrontation: Mostly Applies. Sonic leads the attack against Solaris in the Final Boss fight, but Elise is the one to blow out the candle and reset the timeline.
Moral Superiority: Debatable. All the other characters are "heroes" but Sonic is the Biggest Best Hero Of Them All That The Chaos Emeralds Love Soooo Much, and he also is the one to selflessly insist on the timeline reset so that the whole Solaris Destruction Thing never happens.

Sonic Au Context/Story
Name- Sonic Resistance of Solais (this was a very last minute name)
Answering this ⬆ @divtanver
So, my au is kind of like a mix of Unleashed and The Black Knight (''aesthetic'' wise).
Sonic is a werehog who live with his Uncle Chuck in Mobotropolis. He half works for the Royale knight along with Knuckles and Amy. Tails works in the castles weaponry, creating swords and inventions. Rouge is the queen of Mobotropolis by the way. Previously, Uncle Chuck also worked in the weaponry, as well as teaching Sonic how to use swords.
Sonic wasn't always a werehog though, he was captured and tested on by a scientist **wink wink** and turned into a hybrid. Nearly all of Sonic's life he's been hunted down by Eggman, a werehog hunter.
Sonic hates being in his werehog form with a passion, only parts of it he tolerates, and the only way he can get rid of it is gathering all the chaos emerald and defeating a boss (who will not be named yet). He goes on an adventure, finding these chaos emeralds to finally rid of his form but with a person who he will slowly become friends with.
I don't want to exactly spoil it and also don't want to say too much because nothing is final as i'm still kind of putting it all together but expect more updates and stuff soon.
Also here's the character you should expect to see:
Sonic (of course)
Knuckles
Amy
Tails
Uncle Chuck
Shadow
Rouge (and possibly omega (that isn't decided as he doesn't have a character role at the moment))
Silver
Blaze
Vanilla and Cream
Eggman
Possibly Team Chaotix + Big
Anyways more updates soon (maybe)

Okay as a Sonic fan I'm hyped as duck for Shadow X Sonic generations, ya know today uhh some stuff was revealed like god damn Memphis Tennessee is coming back after the train wreck that was 06', however one interesting boss caught my eye that Shadow will fight and—it's laughable and I'M MAKING A PREDICTION NOW!
I will do a full ramble on why these images and the implication that shadow can even TOUCH Metal Overlord is funny. I don't care what new powers shadow gets, in no universe will he ever get CLOSE to Metal Overlord, not a scratch could be made by that hot topic wannabe bitch on the metallic GOD that is the Metal Overlord. I'm calling it now Black Doom is affecting Shadow's mind making him fight illusions or something—which is why you Shadow is playing through certain areas that are SPECIFICALLY of Sonic's memories. This isn't a perfect Chaos situation where "oh Sonic is stronger now so he can beat Perfect Chaos without his super form!", no this isn't Shadow's new powers suddenly making him capable of fighting Metal in his divine form. Because unlike Perfect Chaos, Metal Overlord didn't lose to the power of the chaos emeralds, Metal Overlord lost due to the power of friendship—AS CHEESY AS THAT SOUNDS THAT IS THE HONEST TRUTH, WHICH IS WHY SHADOW BEING ABLE TO FIGHT METAL OVERLORD ALONE IS SO FUNNY BECAUSE IT DEFEATS THE ENTIRE PURPOSE OF METAL SONIC AS A CHARACTER.
Look, I love Shadow, it's the year of Shadow, I get it. He's getting favoritism, I'm aware, but Sega gotta give his pelvis a break because he can only take so much because in no universe will he ever be able to fight BASE metal let alone his overlord form.

Since Shadow 2005 has one of your favorite Eggman portrayals, do you wish the game had an ending where you get to serve him in his empire? Since the closest we got was the neutral-dark ending, imagine if that route's boss had something like Omega driving the Egg Dealer instead
Yesss of course 🥰 I adore the game as it is but if there was an ending that actually let you join him instead of fighting him every time and killing him in three, it would've been ten times better. I dream of that stuff. I really wish they'd fully delved into that potential but I highly appreciate all the missions that give a small taste of it at least
I've always liked to imagine a route of him joining Eggman that includes all the missions you help him in and then, instead of his bosses, except for Cryptic Castle Egg Breaker because I can see him getting possessive and fighting him for the emerald anyway lol- you fight and defeat both G.U.N and Black Doom and gather the emeralds so he can build the empire!
That would be a cool way to still have the Egg Dealer fight involved! I mean, Omega would need to be defeated in some way as he certainly isn't gonna let Eggman take over the world if he can help it. Maybe a scene where Shadow runs into Omega in Lava Shelter, who assumes they're going to take down Eggman together
Shadow doesn't correct him or fight him, he just silently heads on and he follows. But when they make it to the room where the Egg Dealer fight takes place, Shadow reveals that he's on Eggman's side, he believes he's an android and that he should be fiercely loyal to his master so he lured Omega in to take him out for being a traitor
Shadow and Eggman fighting Omega together like how Shadow is usually assisted during the bosses would be awesome. Omega wouldn't need the Egg Dealer as the killing machine he is but it would be pretty fun to see him in a mech, maybe he wants to destroy Eggman's creations with another one of them and the destroy that after too
Something else that could be really cool is if Eggman was in the Egg Dealer and gives Shadow Chaos Blast with Shadow Fever to absolutely obliterate their enemy, which I theorize is what he was actually hoping to do with the Egg Dealer as he anticipated Shadow being on his side, it was potentially a smarter decision than people think
The potential would soon be proven as Omega won't be fast enough to keep up to change the outcome of the slots as Shadow being faster can knock him back easily every time he tries. That way Eggman can fire missiles, drop bombs, summon Egg Pawns, and then activate Shadow Fever so Shadow can Chaos Blast Omega into oblivion!
Either way, Eggman or Omega using the Egg Dealer would be cool and Shadow helping Eggman in taking Omega down would be epic! In an alternate ending where Eggman's plan works, nobody would stand a chance against his genius combined with Shadows ULF power! They make a badass destructive deadly duo. My dream team ❤️🖤
Once Eggman's traitorous creation and one of his most avid haters is out of the way lol, they'd be unstoppable and soon destroy the rest of Sonic and co, the Black Arms, and G.U.N. Then Eggman would happily rule the world with Shadow living a lie and believing he's an android and loyally serving the mighty emperor and they'd be feared by all!

Some more funny "Eden and Aloysi gets thrown into random places" stuff
Imagine them in OCTAHEDRON (If you checked out the videos already), or in any series of your choice!
I haven't checked them out yet sadly, but I've seen a couple let's plays. They just... never actually finish the game?? And I can't hear the music, which kinda...defeats half the purpose......
From the visuals I've gotten, I can see both Eden and Aloysi getting a little overwhelmed by the colors, but once they get their bearings, they'd tackle the platforming and probably have a blast. It'd be a great chance for Aloysi to loosen up a little, too. Eden would enjoy themselves, but Aloysi would be kinda tense at first, then slowly fall into the rhythm of things and start having fun. They have some good laughs.
Also, in the vein of music games, Imma chuck these two into JSAB as a pair of green triangles. Have fun you two!
JSAB might actually be more Aloysi's pace, all things considered - or at least they'd be better at it. While Eden is getting a little bit lost in the chaos, Aloysi is veeery good at pattern tracking, and catches on to those very fast. They're also quite quick thinking, so that would serve them well. Eden wouldn't be too far behind, but they'd have to rescue Eden a couple times more often.
...It would be hilarious to me if they end up in a scenario where, after so long of being the one dodging, boss music starts and the boss is going "This ain't my music...?" And uh. It's their turn to be the boss. Have fun dodging the patterns of a pair of dragons!
I don't know too much about the game, but I can also see these two having fun in something like Sayonara Wildhearts or adjacent. Honestly they'd have fun with musicy games in general.
Ooo, oo oo oo, One Hand Clapping!!! They'd looooove that one. And get to have fun singing, too!
....I also have to chuck these two into Bug Fables very briefly (hyperfixations go brr) - Eden I think would be a jewel beetle (constituents are a mantis and a different beetle of some kind), and Aloysi seems like maybe a giant hornet? (comprised of a blue carpenter bee and a paper wasp). Or maaaaaybe a butterfly, if we take a curveball with a symbolic undertone (emerald swallowtail, in that case).

Sonic Cyber Revolution, Entry 54: Open Your Heart
''Thunder, rain and lightnin', danger, water risin'! Clamor, sirens wailing, it's such a bad sign! Shadows of dark creatures, steel clouds floating in the air, people run for shelter – what's gonna happen to us? All the steps we take, all the moves we make, all the pain at stake – I see the chaos for everyone! Who are we? What can we do? You and I are the same in the way that we have our own styles that we won't change! Yours is filled with evil, and mine is not, there is no way I can lose! Can't hold on much longer! (But I will never let go!) I know it's a one-way track! (Tell me now how long this'll last!) I'm not gonna think this way! (Nor will I count on others!) Close my eyes and feel it burn! (Now I see what I've gotta do!) Open your heart; it's gonna be alright!''
– Open Your Heart by Sonic Adventure (NateWantsToBattle Cover)
xXxXxXx
Wrath.
Wrath was all he could feel, the only sensation flooding his mind and body. Wrath was what led him to attack the Knuckles Tribe and wrath was what had brought him back. He still recalled his last thought when the sense of wrath was replaced with numbness and an inability to control his own body and mind. He was being ordered around like a puppet on strings, unable to to fight back, at least until he absorbed the Chaos Emeralds – yellow and red, cyan and purple, white and blue, and finally green. With each absorbed Chaos Emerald, whatever control the mad platypus scientist had over him grew weaker and weaker, until he managed to break out.
Now, the sense of wrath had returned, stronger than ever. He had now gained his most powerful form and his senses were taken over by an overwhelming desire for revenge. Perfect Chaos roared, creating a massive tidal wave that swept over the area, and he could see people fleeing from it, but he couldn't care less who died or who survived. He had been hurt by so many people, and he was going to retaliate. He was a force of nature, and those who believed that could control him would learn that a force like himself couldn't be commanded by anyone.
xXx
Lucas and Rouge pulled Big and Froggy away, managing to get up to a building tall enough to avoid being hit by the wave. Lily, Knuckles and Tikal followed them closely, and Ferra and Metal Sonic also landed next to them. Starline panicked, using the Fly Core to leap and hold onto the EggMobile just as Eggman flew away to avoid the wave.
''What are you doing?!'' Eggman growled as Starline held onto the edge of the EggMobile for dear life.
''I admit, I may have made a mistake in my calculations, but we can still fix this,'' Starline said, only for Eggman to grab him by the collar of his purple shirt.
''We?!'' Starline gulped, shaking as Eggman lifted him up. ''I have enough of you and your know-it-all attitude! I gave you enough chances, but this one is the straw that broke the camel's back! Starline, you're fired!''
Eggman then dropped the flailing Starline into the watery depths below, not even caring whether the platypus survived the fall or not. He then flew away on the EggMobile, pressing a button that revealed a holographic screen showing Orbot and Cubot playing UNO back at the Egg Base. The two assistant robots were startled when they realized that their Boss was calling them, scrambling to explain themselves, but Eggman didn't care. ''Orbot, Cubot, get the Egg Carrier!''
''Right away, Boss!''
Eggman frowned, turning his attention back to Perfect Chaos. Despite knowing just how dangerous the God of Destruction was, he still allowed things to get this far. As much as he hated it, he knew that he would have to help Sonic and his friends defeat it. Nevertheless, he had learned from his previous mistakes.
''This better work,'' Eggman grumbled, flying the EggMobile to the building the rest of the group, sans Sonic and Shadow, were standing on. ''I assume you have some kind of plan for this, Kinomoto.''
Lucas blinked in surprise, having not expected that Eggman would address him like this, but quickly snapped out of his stunned state. ''It doesn't matter what we do, we need the Chaos Emeralds if we want to defeat Perfect Chaos.''
''I have figured that much,'' Eggman replied, him and the rest of the group observing Perfect Chaos as he moved, creating several water spouts and spreading them across the area, destroying buildings and structures in the process. ''It doesn't seem as if he had absorbed all of the negative Chaos Energy.''
''I just hope Loki had managed to get the message out for people to evacuate,'' Lucas said, staring at Cosmo Bridge in the distance. He could see people abandoning their cars and fleeing the moment Perfect Chaos had appeared, and he felt completely helpless as there was really nothing that he could do to stop this madness. That's when everyone suddenly turned around, a bit shocked to see a giant airship flying towards Perfect Chaos.
''The Egg Carrier? Seriously?!'' Lily turned to Eggman. ''You know that thing doesn't stand a chance against Perfect Chaos.''
''Don't underestimate the Egg Carrier! I have learned from the last time and I equipped the airship with additional defense systems! It won't fall down in just one hit!'' Eggman bragged, with Lily giving him a dubious look.
''If you have so much faith in the Egg Carrier, why aren't you inside it?'' she asked. Eggman just turned away, completely ignoring her question.
''Get a load of this!'' he said, pressing a button on the EggMobile, allowing him to control the Egg Carrier remotely.
The large front-mounted powerful laser cannon housed inside the bow moved, with the Egg Cannon firing a powerful cyan laser beam at Perfect Chaos, causing immense damage to Perfect Chaos' side. Eggman grinned victoriously, only to frown when Perfect Chaos to restored the damaged area. The water deity then slammed one of his tentacles into the front of the Egg Carrier, followed by another strike to the side, with the third one destroying the wing and causing the Egg Carrier to crash into Cosmo River. Eggman stared at the remains of his airship in stunned silence.
''Yeah, you were right. It took three hits for it to go down,'' Lily said in a snarky tone, arms folded across her chest. Eggman's mouth was agape and he was speechless.
''Well, damn,'' he muttered. Admittedly, even if he wasn't going to say it out loud, he did have a feeling that this might go wrong.
As for Perfect Chaos, he started to move, leaving Cosmo River and going towards Sentoraru. The group could also hear helicopters in the distance, realizing that SASDF was mobilized to fight against Perfect Chaos and save civilians. However, Lucas knew that their weaponry would do no damage to the God of Destruction. He turned activated his AR Visor, calling the whole of Team Neos and turned to the group.
''I hate to say it, but there is nothing we can do now. We should retreat and help in the evacuation as much as possible,'' he said, getting several reactions, mainly that of half-hearted acceptance and disappointment that they couldn't do more.
''So, you really are going to retreat?'' Eggman asked, with Lucas giving him a look of determination.
''You know as well as I do that we cannot do anything so long as Perfect Chaos has the Chaos Emeralds. Even if we used the Master Emerald, we can't get close enough to him for it to work,'' Lucas pointed out. ''We'll have to wait until the right opportunity, but until then, Neos City will suffer a lot of damage.''
''Then, let's make the best out of this situation,'' Sonic said.
''YEAH!!!''
xXx
''Kotone Midorikawa and Kero here with breaking news!''
''A flood alert has been issued! All civilians are instructed to abandon the afflicted areas in Sentoraru and Cosmo River! We are under attack by a giant water monster!''
Minami's team observed the news broadcast on a giant holographic screen in Sentoraru, having managed to get there from Kita. The area they were at wasn't flooded yet, but they knew that they didn't have much time left.
''Ugh… If we had only stopped Starline…'' Amy grumbled, still feeling the effects of Starline's toxic spurs as she was being carried piggyback by Minami, while Omega was holding Cream.
''At least you managed to recover enough,'' Minami said. ''We'll need everyone's help to survive this- agh!''
Minami, Amy, Omega, Cream, Cheese and Gamma were startled when the street before them suddenly blew up, with water gushing everywhere. ''This way!''
The group escaped, with Omega and Gamma hovering above the ground via their jet boosters, while Minami was on her hoverboard, leading them through the streets. Suddenly, a torrent of water came from a side street, threatening to carry them away, only for a cyan barrier to appear, stopping the water.
''Get to higher ground!'' Silver suddenly appeared above them, struggling with the barrier. Minami, Omega and Gamma looked around, then went towards a building where they had spotted Makoto waving at them.
''Are you guys okay?'' he asked, looking in particular at Amy and Cream.
''We'll be fine,'' Amy replied as Minami put her down.
''Yeah,'' Cream added as Omega put her down, with Cheese checking up on her.
''We ran into Starline,'' Minami explained, with Makoto and Silver nodding.
''We ended up fighting Toshiro and Mephiles, and once we lost the Chaos Emerald, we left,'' Makoto replied.
''We've been lifting up people to higher ground wherever we could, but the situation is getting worse and worse,'' Silver added.
''Heeeey! Over here!'' The group looked up, only to see Tails hovering above them. ''Warren and I are with the Chaotix! We want to reunite with Lucas and Sonic's group!''
Makoto turned to Silver. ''Do you think you'll be able to carry all of us?''
''Yeah, I have enough energy for that,'' Silver said, nodding confidently. He spread the psychokinesis among the group, with Omega, Gamma, Minami and Makoto declining as they could use the jet booster and hoverboards respectively to lighten Silver's load. The group then followed Tails.
xXx
Sonic sped down the street, managing to grab a child just before a wave of water came crashing down on them. He leapt onto an abandoned car, getting on the rooftop of a small café where several patrons were. After making sure the kid was fine, he turned back to the street, seeing Shadow pulling out a woman out of the water and onto an abandoned van. Both knew that the rest of the group was somewhere close, using anything they could to help people. In the distance was Perfect Chaos, swatting away at the military helicopters as they attacked him with missiles, none of which had any effect on him. Dark clouds covered the sky, with Perfect Chaos damaging one of the helicopters with his tentacles, forcing the military to retreat.
''It's pointless,'' Shadow said as he joined Sonic. ''If we want to defeat Perfect Chaos, we'll have to attack his weak spot.''
''His brain,'' Sonic added, him and Shadow exchanging glances. ''But, we'll have to get very close to reach him, and with the city being flooded like this, it won't be easy.''
Both hedgehogs then leapt from the building, using the debris and top of the cars as stepping stones, getting closer and closer to the area that suffered the worst damage.
Meanwhile, Lucas' group had reached a breaking point, with Touka and Lily almost being swept away by a current as they tried to grab a girl who got stuck on the top of a bus. The girl managed to hold onto it, coughing and sputtering the water, with Touka managing to grab her and carry her away bridal-style onto another building. Considering the way how hoverboards worked, they couldn't put too much weight on them for fear that they would get to heavy and fail. Touka and Lucas' hoverboard were modified, but even they had their limits.
''Help me!''
Lucas grabbed a man's arm, the latter holding onto a street lamp and tried to pull him up, but the hoverboard started to sink. He could feel another sudden tug, being surprised to see Ferra helping him out. ''You owe me for this!''
Lucas didn't comment on it, with the two focusing on getting the man to a broken building and landing on a different one to check on their hoverboards, fearing that they got damaged. However, their eyes widened as Perfect Chaos moved to their location, sending a barrage of tentacles that swept across the building, knocking both of them over. Lucas managed to grab onto the ledge, holding Ferra with his other hand as they dangled from the building above the dangerous waters. However, both of them felt that they were slipping.
''Let go or we'll both fall!'' Ferra shouted.
''Forget it!'' Lucas replied, gritting his teeth as he dug his fingers into the broken ledge, feeling his hand bleeding. He heard Ferra let out a laugh.
''You really love playing hero,'' she said, smirking.
''What? No! Frankly, I don't care if we're enemies, I won't let you die,'' Lucas replied.
''I figured,'' Ferra replied, only to suddenly dig her nails into his hand, forcing Lucas to let go. He stared in shock as she fell, only for a blue blur to pass by and catch her, revealing itself to be Metal Sonic. Lucas sighed in relief and tried to swing his other arm towards the ledge to climb up, only to feel himself getting lifted.
''Hold on!''
Lily and Knuckles grabbed his arm, pulling him back onto the building. They were joined by Touka, Rouge and Tikal, Big and Froggy having found safety somewhere else during the whole chaos. All of them were tired due to the whole ordeal, with Lucas looking around, only to spot a wave of cyan energy on a different building, relieved to see that Warren, Tails, Minami, Amy, Cream, Cheese, Makoto, Silver, Vector, Espio, Charmy, Omega and Gamma made it here safely. Given the distance, he activated the AR Visor again instead of shouting for them.
''Are you okay?'' he asked.
''We are, but this place will turn into a wasteland soon,'' Makoto answered for the whole group. Lucas knew that Makoto was right, and after taking a look at his surroundings, noted that they were the closest ones to Perfect Chaos, who continued his rampage. There was another deafening roar, and they could see in the distance seven glowing lights, being rejected by Perfect Chaos.
''Perfect Chaos has absorbed all of the Chaos Emeralds negative energy,'' Tikal said, her hands clasped as if in a prayer. ''If we don't seal him away in the Master Emerald, this city… This world will meet its end.''
Suddenly, Makoto's end, Gamma leapt from the building, flying towards the platform where the Chaos Emeralds ended up. Cream ran up to the edge of the building, crying in despair, ''Mr. Gamma, where are you going?! It's too dangerous! Come back!''
Gamma heard her, but didn't respond, instead doing his best to reach the platform to grab the Chaos Emeralds and bring them back to the group. He knew that this was their only chance, and that someone had to take the risk to reach them. He could hear Cream screaming and crying for him, held back by Amy, but he refused to respond. He was just another Badnik, after all, and he was following his mission – retrieve the Chaos Emeralds.
''Gamma!''
Gamma had managed to get close to the platform, but unfortunately, Perfect Chaos saw him, and that was the end. Gamma fired missiles at the tentacles that wrapped around him, tearing him into pieces.
''Cream, Amy… I'm sorry…''
Cream cried, being hugged and comforted by Amy as she and the rest of the group observed in horror as Gamma's body was tossed aside by Perfect Chaos. They weren't the only ones, as on other other side of the wasteland were Sonic and Shadow, having managed to find a path close to Perfect Chaos, only to stop in their tracks when they saw Gamma's demise. It was obvious what would happen to them if they tried the same, and still, they couldn't just stand there idly.
Sonic lowered his head, contemplating for a moment as he recalled what Lucas and Tikal had told him. ''Perfect Chaos… Even if he is sealed back into the Master Emerald, his heart will still remain in turmoil due to all the pain he had experienced.'' Shadow turned to Sonic, giving him a curious look as the azure hedgehog lifted his head up, a confident smirk gracing his lips. ''He had only absorbed the negative energy of the Chaos Emeralds, but there should be a positive energy inside them as a counterbalance.'' Sonic gave Shadow a confident look. ''I know what to do, but you need to cover me, Shads.''
Shadow nodded, a confident smirk that reflected Sonic's own forming on his expression. ''Make sure not to slow me down, Faker.''
''I wouldn't dream of it,'' Sonic replied, with him and Shadow leaping off the building and speeding down the flooded street and using the debris, overpasses and broken buildings to avoid being swept away by the current.
''Chaos Spear!'' Shadow threw a spear of energy at one of Perfect Chaos' tendrils, saving Sonic from being grabbed. Sonic, in turn, spin-dashed through a piece of debris that almost fell on Shadow, breaking it apart.
''We're almost there!'' Sonic said, him and Shadow leaping onto a street lamp when Perfect Chaos suddenly fired a beam of energy from his mouth. Shadow grabbed Sonic, Chaos Controlling just above where the blast was about to hit them.
''Now!'' Shadow grabbed Sonic hand mid-air, swinging around and sending the hedgehog flying into the sky and towards the platform, with Sonic managing to land on it, surrounded by the Chaos Emeralds. He grinned, being able to feel their energy as they rose up, resonating with him. However, before he could do anything, his eyes widened when a water spout emerged right under him, the dark water engulfing him.
''Sonic!''
Lucas and Shadow's cry of shock was followed by more, with Team Neos, their allies, and even Eggman who had been observing the situation from above, staring in horror as it seemed as if Perfect Chaos had finally managed to drown the azure hedgehog and kill him for good.
''No, no, Sonic!'' Lucas shouted, refusing to believe that this was the end. He wanted to leap over and help his partner, and he wasn't the only one, as Shadow was about to attack Perfect Chaos in rage.
However, before either could make a move, the water spout started to suddenly glow in a distinct golden light, which destroyed it from the inside. The clouds in the sky opened, allowing some of the sunlight to pass, illuminating the golden light that emerged from it. That light was a golden hedgehog hovering above the waters, enveloped in a golden smooth wisp-like aura, his quills on his head pointed upwards and his red eyes fixated on Perfect Chaos. His expression showed a sense of seriousness as he clenched his fists, staring at his opponent.
''It's Sonic!''
''Sonic! Sonic!''
''He's alive!!''
''Sonic… No, Super Sonic…'' Lucas breathed a sigh of relief as he stared at the golden hedgehog, his friends crying in joy, hugging each other and jumping as they realized that things have turned around. Even Eggman showed signs of relief, albeit mainly because he really didn't want to be the one to deal with Perfect Chaos, deciding to leave the water deity to Sonic.
''Sonic…'' Shadow stared at the golden hedgehog in awe, captivated by what he saw. Super Sonic then turned towards him, his serious expression changing to a sincere smile as he winked at Shadow, giving him a thumbs up to assure him that everything was fine. Shadow couldn't help but smile in return, observing Super Sonic as he flew up to be on Perfect Chaos' eye-level.
''This ultimate power is fueled by everyone's wish!'' Super Sonic said, facing Perfect Chaos. He could hear not only his friends cheering for him, but also the people of Neos City, who had recognized him as a beacon of hope, the light that illuminated the darkness. ''I won't let any of my friends down!''
Feeling the power of the Chaos Emeralds flowing through his body, Super Sonic rushed towards Perfect Chaos with lightning speed, leaving a gaping hole in the water deity's body as he emerged on the other side. Perfect Chaos roared, closing the wound, but Super Sonic continued, exploring his new speed as he entered Perfect Chaos body, flying right towards his head and punching through it, damaging the brain.
Perfect Chaos roared in pain, with Super Sonic flying away to dodge the water tentacles, then looked down at himself, wondering what else he was capable of. He knew that the Chaos Emeralds transformed thought into power, which mean that the only thing that was holding him back was his own creativity.
Super Sonic suddenly vanished, Chaos Controlling right below Perfect Chaos' head and curled into a ball, using the spin attack right into the water deity's jaw and knocking the head back. He then appeared above Perfect Chaos, with multiple duplicates of him appearing and all of them slamming down into Perfect Chaos' head, once again right into the brain. The water deity shook his head, suddenly firing a beam of energy at Super Sonic, with the golden hedgehog blocking the attack with his bare hands, diverting it into the sky.
Super Sonic then proceeded to loop around Perfect Chaos, dodging the tentacles and unleashing a golden wind that trapped the water deity, before releasing a barrage of kicks from afar, which turned into crescent razor wind that hit Perfect Chaos. The water deity didn't back down, however, launching another attack that trapped Super Sonic inside a water spout. However, the golden hedgehog managed to counter it by unleashing a blast of energy resembling Chaos Blast and flew closer, firing a barrage of punches at Perfect Chaos.
''Is it just me, or is he using the Sonic Frontiers moveset?'' Minami said, catching the attention of her friends as everyone watched the fight. Those who knew had to admit that Super Sonic was really going all out in this fight.
Super Sonic then leaped back, avoiding another blast of energy and smirked, having taken note of Perfect Chaos' weakened state. It was clear that the water deity was slowly collapsing as the attacks took a tool on it. Enveloping himself in a blaze of energy, Supers Sonic flew towards Perfect Chaos head, passing right through it and turning back as Perfect Chaos disintegrated, his monstrous form vanishing as he reverted back to Chaos 0. Super Sonic flew up to him, with Chaos staring back at him, then looked around at the destroyed area.
''I hope you're okay now, buddy,'' Super Sonic said, sensing that Chaos's wrath had disappeared and he finally calmed down. As a matter of fact, it seemed that the water deity was regretting what he had done. ''Would you be able to use the positive energy of the Chaos Emeralds to clear up a bit?''
Chaos stared at Super Sonic, a little perplexed by this request, but he knew that this was the only thing he could do in this situation. He had destroyed this part of Neos City and it was up to him to atone for what he had done.
Chaos took Super Sonic's hand, channeling the positive energy of the Chaos Emeralds and took control of all the water that was flooding the streets. The water levels started to revert, leaving only mud and debris behind and flowing into Cosmo River. Super Sonic then let go off Chaos hand, his Super Form vanishing as the Chaos Emeralds left his body and the two were left standing in the middle of the street.
''You know, you aren't that bad when you calm down,'' Sonic told Chaos, who just stared back at him, unsure how to feel about the compliment. Sonic then looked up, waving at Shadow, who just sat down, shaking his head in response and sighing in relief. Sonic then looked back to his friends, surprised to see the Babylon Rogues' airship flying over them. Lucas and the rest of the team also saw it, surprised to see a ladder being lowered down, with Chase and Jet staring at them from the entrance.
''You are crazy!'' Chase shouted, his expression showing a mix of disbelief and shock. ''All of you! Get up!''
Lucas laughed, having to admit that it was quite unexpected that the Babylon Rogues decided to get them out of this area, but he still accepted their help, him and the rest of the group, including Sonic, Shadow and Chaos climbing on. Sonic was the last to get inside, taking note of Eggman, who just gave him a non-descript look and flew away on the EggMobile. He accepted Jet's hand as the latter pulled him inside, scoffing.
''You know, only because you got this golden form doesn't mean that you're better than me,'' Jet said, with Sonic just waving him off. He then looked back at the destroyed Sentoraru, knowing that it would take a while to repair the damage from what had happened. Fortunately, it was only this area that was affected.
''Thank you, all of you, for calming Chaos down,'' Tikal said, drawing everyone's attention.
''Hey, that's what we do,'' Sonic said, feeling tired. Tikal then walked up to Knuckles, taking the Master Emerald from him.
''Chaos and I will have to leave now. We will also return the Master Emerald to where he belongs,'' she said. Knuckles nodded, only for Rouge to suddenly step in.
''Aww, you're leaving so soon already? I was hoping that I could hold onto the Master Emerald,'' she said, reaching for it, only to be grabbed by Knuckles by her arm.
''Not a chance, Rouge,'' he said, giving her a firm look, only to falter a little when Rouge smiled at him, causing him to feel flustered. Tikal smiled back and exchanged glances with Chaos, both nodding and turning back to everyone else.
''Goodbye everyone! Maybe, we'll meet again someday!'' Tikal said, her and Chaos disintegrating into data particles and vanishing. Lucas then turned to the rest of the group on the airship, a troubled look on his expression.
''So, on a scale from 1 to 10, how screwed are we? Because not only has the whole of Neos City witnessed the Chaos Incident, which left part of Sentoraru destroyed and people becoming aware of what we're capable of, but I'm also fairly certain that we will get grilled by our parents for this since Team Neos wasn't exactly supposed to be public knowledge,'' he said.
That was the moment when everyone realized that this event would probably have consequences for all of them in the long run. Sonic shrugged.
''I'm sure it'll be fine,'' he said, trying to keep everyone optimistic.
''Well, that's not our problem,'' Chase suddenly said, looking at Lucas. ''You better be grateful that we got you out of there.''
Lucas just gave him an irked look, and then sighed tiredly, then turned to Sonic. ''I just hope that this won't prevent us from continuing our work.''
''Well, I'll keep living by my own feelings,'' Sonic replied, giving him a thumbs up. ''Whatever happens next, it doesn't matter to me, because I will never give up the fight and keep doing what is right.''
xXx
Starline was surrounded by water, having been swept into a broken building and managing to land onto a piece of debris, keeping him from drowning, with a sense of despair, shock and complete mental breakdown overwhelming him.
''I planned everything out. Down to the smallest detail. I had every advantage. Accounted for every contingency.'' He clutched his head, his eyes wide and irises small as the memory Eggman throwing him into the water flashed in his mind. ''I could've fixed this. I did everything right. And Dr. Eggman… Eggman… He abandoned me… All of my effort was for nothing. I-I'm a failure. An utter, disgraceful failure…''
''Starline, watch out!''
The platypus was suddenly pulled by his hand when a piece of roofing came crashing down on him, almost crushing him. He looked up in shock, only to see that the one who had grabbed him was Ferra, pulling him onto another piece of debris and kneeling down on her hoverboard, turning her back to him. ''Climb on! This whole building is going to collapse! Metal is keeping our escape route open!''
Starline suddenly snapped out of his stupor and held onto Ferra, locking his arms around her neck as she carried him out of the building just as the roof fell where they were a moment earlier. They joined Metal Sonic, who blasted another piece of debris that got into their way and escaped the building just in time to see Super Sonic finishing off Perfect Chaos. Ferra was breathing heavily, realizing that the battle was over and turned her hoverboard around, flying away from the battlefield, with Metal Sonic following her.
''Why?'' Ferra turned her head back as she heard Starline mumbling. ''Why did you come back for me?''
''While I have no issues causing trouble for Team Neos, I do draw the line at getting people killed. That includes you,'' Ferra told him in a firm tone. ''I guess Dr. Eggman won't be too happy about your survival, but it won't matter since you cannot show yourself anymore in his presence or you'll be chased off.''
Starline felt his body grow numb, a troubled look forming on his expression. His ego was shattered and he couldn't care less anymore whether he survived or died. Ferra glanced back at him, and sighed, realizing that Starline's mental state wasn't the best. She wasn't sure what would happen next, but she was certain about one thing – she just prevented Starline's own story from ending then and there, and she had a strange feeling about what his role in the future would be.

sonic x shadow generations has put me back into my sonic zone
hi i play the games and don’t really know anything about any other sonic media. but this was my hyperfixation zone in like 2017.
i really like metal sonic and sonic cd, the jp/eu ost is my all time fav game soundtrack. for a long time, my url on this site was 7-3-d which is the internal stage id, seen in the stage select, for the bad future version of metal sonic’s boss fight (the bad future version have the best tracks)
metal sonic is a robot eggman often gives orders that had he can be cold and violent to accomplish but left to his own devices, he believes he is the real sonic and must defeat sonic to prove himself.
while all of eggman’s creations could be considered his children, it seems that metal is the neglected older brother to orbot, cubot, and sage now.
i don’t care for sonic heroes giving him a voice but it did provide an opportunity for him to get some thoughts in. he does consider sonic to be his copy. and he did overthrow eggman and hatch a plan to copy data from sonic, shadow, and chaos to undergo a ridiculous transformation in the hopes of finally beating sonic. that’s his deal, and though unsuccessful, he did earn a lot of respect he wanted. even omega, who wants to destroy all of eggman’s robots, let him go.
imo, the best way they’ve handled metal communicating was in sonic rivals 2 in which he was partnered with shadow and communicated mostly through unvoiced warning messages, he was also able to transmit eggman’s voice so shadow could talk to him.
additionally, at the end of their story, it’s revealed that metal had a chaos emerald inside himself all along, presumably being used as a power source. this is revealed when shadow and metal end up sealed inside the ifrit’s dimension after the portal closes without them but metal destroys himself to retrieve the emerald to allow shadow to use chaos control to warp them out. though metal can be fixed up later, he shows a more heroic and selfless side that he’s willing to sacrifice himself for others if the situation requires it.
thanks for coming my ted talk

Are the ArchieSonic comics actually an 80’s/90’s syndicated cartoon? Episode 64 - 65: Two Multi-part Finale (part 13: Panic in the Skies parts 3 and 4)
Welcome back to my investigation of how Archie Comics’ Sonic the Hedgehog series was actually a syndicated cartoon from the 80’s and 90’s! Last week I checked out the first two chapters of Panic in the Skies: the finale of the Sonic Unleashed arc and, in my humble opinion, the proper finale to the ArchieSonic series. Today it’s time to cover the second half of this story, Sonic the Hedgehog issues #286 and 287.
So in the previous issues, Eggman had struck when the Freedom Fighters’ guards were down. He’d gotten his grimy mitts on Chip, the Chaos Emeralds, the Gaia Keys, and the Gaia Colossus, and both the Sky Patrol and Nicole had been severely damaged. Sally split the Freedom Fighters into three teams designed to stop Eggman, with her, Antoine, Bunnie and Tails attacking Eggmanland, Rotor flying into battle against the Death Egg, and Sonic sent to rescue Chip from Eggman.
For those of you familiar with the Sonic Unleashed game, it will be no surprise to find that Sonic had to go up against Eggman in the Egg Dragoon. And he seemed to be thoroughly enjoying himself too.
Meanwhile the team at Eggmanland managed to take down a couple of the E-100 units that had gotten in their way and continued fighting towards the central tower they were planning to sabotage.
Rotor however was having a much more difficult fight. At full power the Sky Patrol might have been a match for the Death Egg, but in its crippled state it was clear that he and Nicole were barely hanging on. Orbot and Cubot, who were piloting the Death Egg, noticed that too and decided they needed to stop him quickly with one massive blast, to avoid draining their fuel reserves any further.
Woof, that’s some nasty turbulence.
Back at the Gaia Colossus Eggman managed to land a lucky hit on Sonic and freeze him in a block of ice. Unfortunately for him this happened right at sunset, so when Eggman moved in for the finishing blow…
With his Werehog strength, Sonic managed to destroy the Egg Dragoon and send Eggman packing.
But just after he’d freed Chip, the Dark Gaia energy started draining out of him. Sally’s team had managed to sabotage the control tower, releasing all of the Dark Gaia energy that Eggman had collected from around the world, and now Dark Gaia was bringing all of it together to finally take a corporeal form.
Chip was disheartened and thought that it was all over, but one pep talk later Chip was ready to pilot the Gaia Colossus into battle for the fate of the world, with Super Sonic right by his side.
Dark Gaia raised a shield to protect itself, but Chip tore through it to pummel Dark Gaia directly while Super Sonic attacked the snake monsters powering its shield.
While the battle was raging on, the Freedom Fighters were watching from the safety of the Tornado. They noticed that the Death Egg had stopped moving and decided it must have finally run out of gas. Eventually Sally spotted the downed Sky Patrol in the ocean and Tails brought them in for a landing.
Sonic and Chip seemed to have the battle well in hand until Dark Gaia managed to grab the Colossus and started charging up a massive laser for a point blank attack.
Aside from being one of the most frustrating parts of the boss battle in the game (I lost so many lives trying to get to Chip before that laser charged!), in the comic version of this fight there was another problem. Sonic noticed that its line of fire would also obliterate his friends atop the downed Sky Patrol.
I mean, Chip still got blasted. But only a little, I guess? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Eggman was also watching this battle unfold, and even having been soundly defeated only minutes ago, was already plotting for his next scheme.
It seems pretty obvious that Eggman’s next big move would have been on Lost Hex and would have been a comic adaptation of Sonic Lost World. Buuuuuuut considering how most of the fanbase feels about that game, perhaps it was a mercy that the comics were cancelled before that could happen. At least we were spared all the Twitter hot takes.
With Dark Gaia exhausted from using its kill-laser, Sonic was able to land the final blow and take the monster down.
All that was left now was for Chip to do his part and restore the world, yeeting Sonic back to his friends while he brought the planetary pieces back together and taking the Gaia Temples with him back into the planet’s mantle to prevent Eggman from reaching them again. In a very emotional scene Chip telekinetically thanked all the friends he’d made on his adventure and said farewell.
Oh, and as you can see, Amy and Knuckles managed to restore the Master Emerald to Angel Island just in time. Phew!
I don’t usually copy entire groups of pages for these reviews, but this ending always hits me right in the feels and I think the entire thing needs to be shown for the full emotional impact. The writing and the art is just perfect. Thank you Ian, for doing this game justice.
That final scene of the Freedom Fighters watching the sun rise feels like the proper ending to the series to me. But as I’ve mentioned before, even though I think it’s the perfect send-off for ArchieSonic, this issue was not the final issue published before the series cancellation. Instead we got three more issues of a new arc, Genesis of a Hero, which ran from Sonic the Hedgehog #288 - #290 and featured adaptations of Sonic 1, Sonic 2, and Sonic CD.
This was supposed to be a four issue arc, with Sonic #291 featuring an adaptation of Sonic 3 & Knuckles, but SEGA pulled the plug before that issue could be released. The timing of this cancellation means we also never got to see the final issue of the Sonic Mega Drive series, a story which was Ian’s shot at writing a comic book version of a game he envisioned, set in Sonic's classic era. And it was damned good too.
But while I’m still salty seven and a half years later that we never got to see the final issue of Mega Drive (or the adaptation of SegaSonic the Hedgehog starring Mighty and Ray that was supposed to be in Sonic #294), I am at least grateful that we got a fully finished Sonic Unleashed arc. Like I said before, the ending of that story is very emotional and I think it’s quite beautiful too. Ian, Diana, and the rest of the creative team really knocked it out of the park.
Well, I have now covered all 65 episodes of the theoretical cartoon that ArchieSonic should have been. So is this the end of my series? In a word… no. xD Let's be honest - I posted the first episode of this series way back in December of 2022, and it has evolved a lot from my original plans since then. I’m going to need one more post (probably split into two parts) to properly summarise this whole experience and go back to my original goal for this blog series. Next time I'm going to finally answer once and for all the question that has been keeping us all awake at night: were the ArchieSonic comic actually a syndicated cartoon from the 80s/90s? Stay tuned to this space, because my final assessment is coming soon!

Classic Sonic Game idea!!
So I was thinking of a classic sonic game it’ll be called The Classic Sonic Collection! It’s a game with all 5 classic sonic games and in order
Sonic The Hedgehog
Sonic The Hedgehog 2
Sonic The Hedgehog 3 and Knuckles
Sonic The Hedgehog CD
Sonic Mania Plus (Main Mode and then Encore Mode)
For extrasIt’ll have animated cutscenes, and tips and guides to help you get all the perfect endings in all the classic sonic games like for sonic 3 and knuckles tips and guides will help you get all the chaos emeralds and super emeralds to get the hyper sonic ending and so much more in extras.
And it’ll also have soundtrack where you can listen to every music in every game. Even the prototypes for sonic 3 and knuckles and the usa soundtrack for sonic cd. And the remixes and instrumental music. Along with extra music. And you can speed it up or slow it down, pitch it up or pitch it down high pitch or lower pitch you can change speed or pitch in any speed or any pitch you like and you can also save the slowed or speed up music by pressing save music and it’ll be played in any classic sonic games you played and if you ever want the music back to normal you go back to soundtrack and press default music.
There will also be gallery to show all the classic sonic artwork and the easter eggs of sonic cd. And it’ll have character infos and bios. And there will also be videos of the classic sonic games and a comic made by me based by the classic sonic series. And some videos will be full animation of all the classic sonic games made by me too.
It’ll also have every intro cutscene of every game for the intro of sonic 1 for example it’s when it starts by dr ivo robotnik creating badniks by the little animals in scrap brain zone as the badnik spread all over South Island then in green hill zone classic sonic was taking a run all around green zone then he stops to take a view when he suddenly spots a motobug attacking two flickys classic sonic runs to the motobug as he spindashes and destroys the motobug revealing to be a flicky inside as then he wondered what happened as the flicky points to the badniks all over green hill classic sonic then winks and point his thumb at him at the flicky as he will find out what’s going on and will destroy all the badniks and save South Island as he dashed away the flickys cheered for him and that’s how his adventure begins. And in the end of every game will have a post cutscene like the end of sonic 1 is after classic sonic gets all the six chaos emeralds, after they filled green hill with large colorful flowers and after the defeat of dr robotnik he spots another island called west side island then he gets on the tornado and he waves to all the little animals and then he flies to west side island which leads to sonic 2.
For sonic 2 there can be some differences one is after mystic cave zone act 2 classic sonic and classic tails were about to leave until they accidentally fall down to a pitch that leads to the hidden palace zone and the second is 10 ring item boxes in death egg zone before entering the mecha sonic boss fight and a hint on the top right says wait till the death egg robot fight then press a and then x to activate the super form.
For sonic mania and encore mode there will be some differences and to make it more nostalgic such as for example after getting all the chaos emeralds the chaos emeralds will then go to the hidden palace as the chaos emeralds became super emeralds unlike sonic 3 and knuckles they don’t turn gray they turned activated and for encore mode they’ll stay activated for good and stay as super emeralds for now on. And after hidden palace zone we go to stardust speedway. And for stardust speedway like in sonic cd they’ll be a good future for act 3 and the time warp signs for past will still be here in sonic cd but in the end of act 1 there will be a generator and a hologram of classic metal sonic and when they destroy the generator and the hologram stardust speedway will still be the past not the present in act 2 and in the end of act 2 another generator will appear along with the hologram of classic metal sonic. As they destroyed both the hologram and the generator stardust speedway became a good future thanks to the time stones back in sonic cd. Then the Metal Sonic boss fight will be just like in sonic cd. In lava reef zone instead of two separated bosses in act 2 heavy rider will appear first then they go to the hidden palace then heavy king will appear next and lots more. In the end of hidden palace zone they saw little planet and then for a cutscene they head to never lake and then they made there way to little planet which then they head to stardust speedway.
And for the end of encore mode is where when we reach for you could it be right starts playing but slowed as classic sonic, classic tails, classic knuckles, classic ray and classic mighty land safely and they look at little planet which will be shaking for a moment before disappearing and leaving behind some sparks in the shape of classic sonic’s face as little planet flowers starts to bloom classic sonic noticed the phantom ruby falling and it lands safely into his hands and he looked at classic tails, classic knuckles, classic ray and classic mighty and they put their hands to the middle then up to the air as they finally finished dr robotnik for good.
For the credits shows the pictures of classic sonic, classic tails, classic knuckles, classic amy, classic ray, and classic mighty all having fun for example making snowman’s in press garden zone, some of them snowboarding in ice cap zone while classic tails is flying above them and classic knuckles and classic ray are gliding above them too, visiting little planet for example taking a view in stardust speedway, etc.
And to end the collection is where classic sonic, classic tails, classic knuckles, classic amy, classic ray and classic mighty all took a selfie together and the message on the bottom says
Tribute to Sega and Sonic.
Thank you for the classic sonic series for all these years.

And now, Part 2 of my Vampire Survivors x Pizza Tower crossover TED Talk- I mean, MORE facts about Floor 2!
So! Let's start with the Secret Fifth Stage that was introduced last chapter. No, scratch that...
Let's start with the ACTUAL Fifth Stage that was in Chapter 13!
That's right! There wasn't four VS Stages used for the Second Floor, there was a fifth one mixed in with one of the levels. That level being Il Molise.
There's a reason that Il Molise has a Day and Night cycle for its gimmick. By Day, Il Molise is the normal stage, but with added Monsters since in VS, all enemies are just stationary plants.
But at Night, the Stage and its Monsters changes to another VS level called Moongolow. So Peppino is traversing two Stages in one! But there's a reason why I did this.
In Vampire Survivors, Moongolow has a connection to another Stage. After defeating the Boss, the Moon Trinacria, before 15 minutes pass, the player is transported to another shorter Stage called, the Holy Forbidden. So there are a total of SIX Vampire Survivors stages crammed into 4 Pizza Tower-esque levels!
Navigating that stage is the same as in the story. Forget about the enemies and get to the end, while dodging the Maddener in its 'Angel' disguise to get the treasure at the end. In this AU's case would be the Chaos Amber, a (fake) item similar to the three Relics in VS used to evolve specific (read: joke) characters into different forms once they reach Lvl 80... which are all purely cosmetic. Here's hoping Poncle does something like this for Peppino.
Speaking of which, let's go over the facts for Arborverde's true identity.
I'd be lying when I say that this goddamn tree, the WORST character in Vampire Survivors due to the fact that he can't move... is the reason why I included everything dealing with the game into this story. With this tree, and the fact that there's little to no narrative or lore in VS, made it easier to tie it in to the story. The fact that he shares the same name as our Italian Protagonist, made it so much fun to create a backstory for him involving his 'curse'.
And, funny story, I made up Peppino's last name on the spot, just using words that ties to trees and seeing what sticks. During the production of Chapter 14, I was looking up what kind of tree or what tree shape he was. Imagine my surprise when I saw that one of the results that fits him best was: Emerald Green Arborvitae
If it wasn't the fact that I was at work when I looked this up, I'd be laughing my ass off at the sheer fucking coincidence of this fact!
And with Spaghetti's help, Arborverde is now one step closer to breaking his curse.
And the story continues as Peppino is finally done with the Second Floor proper.

Ok random idea
A Sonic horror game where it's just a regular Sonic game but you play from the perspective of the villain.
Nothing's truly changed. Sonic's not possessed or suddenly turned evil or anything. He's still his silly goofy little self. But the way the villain's perspective frames him makes it look like there's something DEEPLY wrong with the guy. The way he relentlessly chases you, laughs and smiles when he lands a hit and constantly taunts you. The way his eyes glow with a determination that can easily be mistaken for bloodlust. The way he's just fast enough to where you can't keep up.
The villain player character in this case would be someone powerful enough physically to go head-to-head with him. But his speed gives him the advantage, and that combined with him constantly chasing you makes you feel powerless. Your only real option is to try to evade him and hide as you try to explore the map and reach your goal, all while managing resources to keep yourself alive.
Other characters could come in later on, like Tails, who sets up traps with his gadgets and uses old Badnik scraps scattered about to create enemies you need to ward off, like zombie enemies in other horror games. He always seems to know where you are, though he never directly chases or fights you, preferring to use his brains to catch you off guard and finish you off.
Or Knuckles, who uses the environment to his advantage, stalking you from high up places you can't reach and digging around to catch you off guard. Tikal could accompany him as a freaky ghost enemy, paralyzing you for brief moments so Knux can deal a blow.
Some of the others could be in there as well, but those are the only ideas I have right now.
The game would have different "levels" focused on a character trying to defeat you, each level being a different area of a somewhat interconnected map (think Resident Evil 8). Sonic would be a recurring one that appears in multiple levels and is the final boss. Each area guards a Chaos Emerald or some other thing you need for your evil scheme, but of course you can't get it without going through Sonic and his friends first.
As for aesthetics, considering most of the horror comes from how the player character views the world and our heroes, the world would have a sort of grimy, dark look to it. Sonic and the others would have a slightly uncanny appearance, off from the average mobian, meanwhile the player character looks obviously like an evil villain, but otherwise like a normal mobian (or maybe human? Idk). Almost as if they don't see the heroes as people, but as something else, some terrible force out to get them.
No idea how the story would actually go or how the game would end tho. Maybe it could be like an alternate universe where the villain actually wins, so you actually get to reach the goal in the end? Maybe there could be multiple endings, one where you win, one where you give up and turn yourself in just to end the torment, and one where it's implied Sonic kills you, all depending on how well you do and certain choices you make throughout the game.
I've been in a bit of a survival horror kick recently and have been watching Penny's RE2 playthrough, so this is mostly inspired by that lmao
#ramblings#long post#listen listen it would be so cool if something like this was a thing#there's other possibilities for sonic horror games like the metal virus and all the eldritch horrors#but like. imagine a horror based on the characters themselves#one where sonic isn't like possessed or anything bc i don't really like those#looking at sonic.exe stuff specifically#but one exploring the possibilities of how dangerous and threatening they can be as they are#we could even get a companion game or story campaign that's just. the normal sonic game from sonic's pov#just to show how much of a difference a characters perspective can make#and how the characters would be like if the tone were to change but not the core characters themselves#am i making any sense? i hope i'm making sense bc i think this is really cool

So Sonic games have been a very mix bag with how Sonic controls and feels. In this game, I would say that it has the best controls of any sonic game since Generations.
Sonic is manageable and has the capability of moving fast. His drop spindash is great to use in the open world, his homing attack is classic, the ring dash and Rail grinding are decent. And the ability to boost is welcome and good for bringing back momentum.
Though I will say sonic does feel a bit slow when not boosting, and in the open world his speed is lacking until it’s maxed out or he has max rings.
But Sonic feels very much sonic and something that felt like such a drag in previous games is now vastly improved.
Sonic has a lot of movement options and the abilities they give him Add for some good travel.
Solid 8/10

The Story
So this is where a lot of people find contention with the game.
The overview is that the chaos emeralds get drawn to these mysterious islands. Sonic and Co. go to see what’s going on and find themselves discovering an ancient civilization and unlocking secrets about the chaos emeralds and about the world around them.
There is an AI called Sage that seems to be antagonizing Sonic and working for Eggman. By sending these robotic behemoths called “Titans” after them.
Sonic finds that he can travel in and out of the island’s cyberspace, and has to save his friends who are in cyber space limbo by beating the titans.
With each island you learn about the ancients through the Koco (Little Rock not koroks) that show memories of the ancients.
(Huge spoilers)
Turns out that the ancient civilization that was on the Island created the cyberspace, brought the chaos emeralds to earth and made the titans to fight against an ancient evil that had been targeting them. In desperation they sealed that evil in cyber space. The evil managed to trick Sonic into destroying the titans to free it and dooming the world and all of existence.
But thanks to Sonic’s friends saving him from Cyber Corruption. And Sage helping him get the chaos emeralds they go and fight the evil villain in Space.
“The End”
Which is according to itself the embodiment of the Void.
Super Sonic and Sage defeat the evil and Sage sacrifices herself to destroy it.
Overall the story is a bit messy, tells a lot and yet very little. The plot of why they are there is the weakest part. It’s not bad, but it’s not the best. I do find the Ancient civilization and “The End” interesting. But I know so little even with the final boss’ monologue (which I loved btw)
What does make it good is the character dynamics. Ian Flynn definitely had a hand in writing this. Now depending on how one feels about the characters can determine how they feel about this story. I find Sonic and his friends dynamics were written very well and while the voice acting was a mixed bag, the character moments were genuine.
I loved that Eggman was starting to care about something/someone just as much as himself. It shows that Eggman is more than just an Egg of ego. But he is in denial over it, it also adds to his unique view of what he values. We also get to find out how he views his adversaries and even his own thoughts through his Egg memos.
Sage was a great character and I hope something can be salvaged of her.
Overall 6.5/10
I wanted more story from it, and I agree with Eggman, im left with more questions than answers.

The Open World
So in the Open World, it is actually more of a semi open world. There are 5 islands.
Kronos Island: The first Island. This one acts as the starting place. It’s mainly tropical and I think is one of the best overall islands. It helps the player get use to the mechanics. The enemies are easier but show the fighting mechanics and has the most exploration material. It acts as the intro to Sage, the map trials, the Portals and establishes the formula of the game. The character you bond with is Amy, and the Titan you fight is Giganto.
Ares Island: The Desert island, This one introduces more mini bosses and makes sure the player learned all the mechanics of the game. Enemies are tougher, Koco are harder to get, and there is more exploration options. But it’s easier to get lost and you can find yourself trapped in caverns for a quick sec if you don’t consult the map. The character you bond with is Knuckles and the Titan you fight is Wyvern.
Chaos Island: Magma island: This one is the most punishing of the three as it expects the user to throughly explore and the hardest to traverse. It does hold the most secret areas and the mini bosses are the most versatile and fun to fight. The companion is Tails and the Titan to fight is Knight.
Rhea Island: This is the smallest and most straight forward island. No titans to fight, no companions, just 7 towers to climb and shut off. It’s actually the most like a Level.
Ouranos island: The final island. It’s more compact than the first 3, but has the most dangerous enemies. The companion you bond with is Sage, and the Titan fight is “Supreme”. The most powerful titan. And in Hard mode, you fight the last boss The End.
The formula for the island is simple
Get Gear wheels from mini bosses or by completing the map>Complete the portal levels to get Chaos Emerald Keys> Collect the chaos Emeralds> complete the island special puzzle> then go get the last chaos emerald that is on the Titan by climbing it via Shadow of the Colossus> Transform into Super Sonic and have the epic showdown
All the islands have Portals that take Sonic to levels where he needs to beat their requirements to get keys to unlock the chaos emerald containers. There are also optional collectibles like memory tokens, Power and defense seeds, and Kocos, purple coins,
Memory tokens are needed to help progress some of the story, but a bunch aren’t needed unless you want some of the background information and character development.
In the game Sonic starts at level 1 in four stats. Attack, defense, ring storage, and speed.
Collecting Seeds and giving them to the elder Kocos up his attack and defense
Collecting Kocos and handing them to the elder ups your speed and ring storage.
Purple coins let you go into the fishing portal which lets you have access to special items or sort cut collecting the previous collectibles.
Overall the Open World is fine. Some aspects are empty, the collection of Koco and upgrading is a bit tedious since you have to go one level at a time. But seeds can be done almost instantly.
It is a bit repetitive, but the movement in the open world is great and you can just run around being sonic for some time. It’s fun
Overall 7/10
I do wish some things weren’t tedious, but it’s still fun.
———————————————————————
The Closed Levels/ Portal levels
I really enjoyed them. Each level was a reference to previous Sonic games and levels. The shifting focus of the levels added variety, and while some were more tedious they never felt Awful or a drag. The best ones were very fun.
Now they are required to get chaos Keys but you don’t need to play all of them if you perfect a few. So if a level seems too hard to get all the requirements you have done wiggle room. But personally I like the challenge of getting all the reqs. It does help that you don’t have to do all 4 at once but it’s possible to do. It is more forgiving. Though the movement/momentum is harder to maintain in the closed levels. Which kind of sucks. If it was easier to keep high speed I’d give this a perfect 10
But overall 9/10

Side Quests
The Fishing Minigame is fun.
I enjoy chilling out and catching ridiculous things with Big. It’s not hard it’s a good way to get the bonus content like the egg memos, or get those lost Koco you need to max out your stats without going crazy.
The side stuff with characters is cute. Completing the map with tiny objectives is fun. I loved doing it, and it rewards you by making travel easier,
My only complaints are that there weren’t more of them, adding more to the open world.
9.5/10

Combat and Boss Fights
If you were expecting complex combos and perfect fighting mechanics, you won’t get that. You will get fun finisher moves and clever means of taking down enemies.
Most mini bosses are more like puzzles and you have to figure out how to take them down. It’s usually a fun time and once you know how to fight them it’s usually pretty fair.
The Titan fights as Super Sonic however…
Are on a whole other level of hype.
The gravitas, the epic music blaring as you clash with these behemoths. The fights really help you feel the scope of how grand these robots are. And the quick time events are easy yet SO cinematic.
My favorites are easily Knight and Giganto.
Knight being my favorite finisher.
Depending on how much you grinded and how fast you get use to the titans’ gimmick determines how fast the fight will go. If you been slacking the titans WILL beat your ass.
10/10
for what I would want from a sonic game. The hype is there
___________________________________________
The music
It f***ing Slaps.
Go listen to the sound track.
Sonic does good music always, but this has to be my favorite collection.
Undefeatable is amazing
And Dear Father nearly brought me to tears after the last boss fight.
The music is the very soul of the game
Easy
10/10

Final thoughts
This game is an 8.5/10
I will say it does have some problems, some things being empty and each island feeling repetitive. The upgrade process can be tedious. BUT, what it does well, IT does very well.
I think that this Game opens the door for Sonic in ways the last entries haven’t.
Sonic was always about freedom, so giving him a semi open world was great.
It’s been a long time since I felt joy playing a sonic 3D game. But I think Sonic Frontiers is a great game to jump into and one where people can enjoy themselves and characters.

❣️, 💥, 👾, 🤖 (and 💙 :P)
❣️ Favourite Game?
Mania is still #1 for me. To make a long story short, this game is top tier for me in most of the ways that count. Gameplay, visuals, music, attention to detail, references that are actually clever, the whole shebang. The story might be mildly disjointed compared to something like S3&K, but it doesn't bother me too much. I love this game to death, and it steams my hams that fans have took to ignoring its success in order to prop up Frontiers.
Likewise, second place still goes to S3&K for similar reasons. The rest of my favourites include (in chronological order) Sonic 1 and 2, CD, SA1, the Advance trilogy, Rush Adventure, console Colours, and console Generations.
💥 Favourite Boss Fight?
To list which ones come to mind:
The entire Death Egg-Doomsday Zone confrontation. One of the strongest endgames to any Sonic game, and one of Eggman's finest moments. S3&K as a whole did a fantastic job in firmly cementing how dedicated and hands-on the doctor can be when he's portrayed at his best, and it's wonderfully capped off with this crazy bonanza of "For fuck sake, he's STILL not done?" The Great Eggman Robo is also an imposing design with how it looms.
Egg Viper and Perfect Chaos in SA1. The former for being a decent challenge and the epic as hell defeat animation ("Watch out, he's up to something!"), the latter for being possibly the only 3D Super Sonic fight that isn't complete shit, even if it is a little janky.
Sonic VS Shadow on the A.R.K. The atmosphere and music really make it work.
Deep Core is pretty underrated. A fun shoot 'em up boss, and the Egg WIzard has some creative and eye-catching attacks thanks to the Jeweled Scepter.
Egg Dragoon for bringing out the aggression from Sonic and Eggman alike, as well as the sheer intensity of the fight itself. You know it has to be good when even a certified Non-Fan of Unleashed like me fully approves of it.
Egg Reverie for neatly avoiding a certain undesirable event by instead settling on a three way deathmatch. The music's great, the background is hypnotic, and I love how the timer is inflicted with N64 cartridge tilting-style glitching.
The Mega Death Egg Robot in Forces may have been just okay as an actual fight, but I really, really love the sound design that went into it, as seemingly minor as that may be to some. And Eggman being mad enough to have a second mech inside the first one ala Doomsday Zone is peak... him.
Oh, look at that, most of them are Eggman! Guess the other villains need to try a bit harder, huh?
👾 Favourite handheld title?
Advance 2 was my first Sonic game, and I also think it's probably the most well-balanced of the trilogy (Special Stage rings and needing to get the Emeralds as all four characters to unlock Amy aside), so I'll go with that one.
Second place is a tie between Advance 1 and Rush Adventure. Can't decide which won edges out. :P
🤖 Favourite robot?
I struggle to pick an Eggman-made example because that would require listing every robot he has ever made that isn't Belle. If I had to pick one - one that counts as an actual character mind you - then the Hard-Boiled Heavies for being my kind of quirky and fun. <3
For a NON-Eggman example... uh... this narrows it down by quite a lot. Emerl was good, wasn't he?
💙 Favourite IDW character?
...I'll go with Simp Era Starline, and maybe Tangle before the flanderization set in.

Top Games Played in 2023 - Number 6: Sonic Superstars
6. Sonic Superstars (PS5)
The first new 2D Sonic game since Sonic Mania had a lot to live up to.
Note that this writeup will have SPOILERS because there's some things I need to talk about that require them.
What I Like
First and most importantly, Sonic Superstars is not trying to be like Mania or even the classic Genesis games. It is clearly its own game, and I appreciate that. The physics are nearly matching those games, but the level designs give it a more unique feeling closer to the Sonic Advance series.
In general I think they did a great job with the level designs. They feel fun, unique, and mostly don't overstay their welcome. They also have a bit more emphasis on exploration, but not to the extreme level of Sonic CD.
The final zone in particular is hands down my favourite final zone in a 2D Sonic stage. Act 1 is already pretty cool, but Act 2 involves going through Act 1 backwards! I know that's been done in other games, but this is the best it's been executed in a Sonic game.
I love that there are character-specific stages. This is especially helpful for Tails who never got stages designed for him in the old games, and Amy Rose who just wasn't playable. As a big Tails fan, I really enjoyed the Tails-specific stage because it gave a challenge for a character that is otherwise considered the "easy mode" in previous games. Precise flying and backtracking were the right way to go about it.
Amy's playstyle is quite fun where she is somewhere between Sonic and Hammer Kirby. She's not quite as combat-focused as Sonic Advance, but in exchange she does platforming much better here.
The other new playable character Trip is also a lot of fun. Her spin dash lets her travel along walls similar to one of the Wisps in Sonic Colours. She has gets a very unique and weird Super form.
Speaking of super forms, this game has what I consider the easiest special stages in 2D Sonic. Not only are they about as easy as Sonic 3 & Knuckles Blue Sphere stages, but they are also extremely easy to replay if you fail since you can replay levels from the hub world. This makes them less stressful. This is also important because you actually get tangible differences from each Chaos Emerald thanks to the Emerald powers. Since I played as Tails outside of character-specific stages these weren't as important to me, but they have some useful functions like a screen clearing attack, an additional jump for a limited time, or a climbable tall vine. I found these powers most useful during boss fights.
I love that Fang the Sniper returned after so long. He's one of my favourite Sonic characters, so seeing him with a proper 3D model in game and in the animated cutscenes is just really cool. I also appreciate that he's still somewhere between genuinely dangerous and a goofball. They did a good job capturing his vibe in the aerial boss fight against him.
Adding a simple hub-world gives the game a nice level of polish. It also makes it easier to retry stages, or play the optional stages like character-specific acts or unlockable fruit acts.
The game is surprisingly long with 11 Zones, and you unlock a second Trip-specific campaign after finishing the game. I haven't tried the second campaign yet, likely leads to the true final boss
As a Tails player, I found it much easier to defeat enemies by flying in this game versus any other 2D Sonic. One other small thing is you get a special cutscene for Tails completing the game (you probably get one for each character).
What I Didn't Like
By far the biggest weakness of this game is the bosses. After the first few which are pretty standard, the bosses end up becoming FAR too long. In retrospect I realized much later that they probably intended for you to use Emerald powers, and I did for the last few bosses with great success. But they are still so long, even that aerial Fang boss that I otherwise enjoyed.
The final boss in particular is so long that it's almost as bad as the Death Egg Robot in Sonic 2. But it's still not quite THAT bad.
The other huge problem of the game is the unremarkable music. What kind of Sonic game doesn't have amazing music?! Even the ones I don't like much like Sonic Heroes had an amazing soundtrack.
I'm not a big fan of the Knuckles exclusive stage; he climbs very slow.
I was also bummed that Super Tails does not get any Flickies. He just gets the general speed/jump boost and invincibility.
Another small annoyance is when you exit the shop, you always end up at Zone 1 in the hub world regardless of where you entered. And then it can take up to a full minute to navigate back to where you were.
Final Thoughts
Sonic Superstars went for something different instead of emulating that classics. This worked great for levels, but not for bosses. If they can keep this quality of level design but make bosses quicker like the classics, a sequel has the potential to be one of my favourite Sonic games.

Ideas for a Shadow the Hedgehog Game Remake
So, the big thing is the morality system choice thing. I would change it from “switch between whomever you’re working with as you go” to “choose who you’re allying with before the level.” This would also put you in a slightly different level depending on who you choose.
Using the first level of the game as an example, if you choose to help Sonic, the G.U.N. Soldiers don’t attack you because you’re clearly working with Sonic, and any items or springs that would require you to defeat G.U.N. units would be automatically unlocked. If you chose to work with Black Doom/Doom’s Eye, then it would be the Black Arms that aren’t attacking you and the things that they guard that would be open. And if you choose neither of them (I think of it as the “I am beholden to neither of you” choice), then both sides are attacking you as they aim to claim the Chaos Emerald in the city, just like you are.
Another overhaul would be the Chaos Meter system. Instead of a Hero Gauge that has you Chaos Control closer to the Neutral Ending and a Dark Gauge that lets you Chaos Blast where you are, you instead have four abilities (in addition to the “do nothing and get the invincibility and unlimited ammo” choice) and one Gauge. It would be charged solely through collecting stage rings and breaking power ups, rather than completing respective objectives. 1. Chaos Blast: This remains mostly the same, though it could be amped up a bit. Using it would hit everything in the area, having the ally character comment on almost getting taken out by it or mad at you hurting any allied NPCs. 2. Chaos Freeze: This would freeze the level around you, letting you do whatever you need while the timer is frozen. Enemies won’t hurt you and any attacks you do won’t actually do damage until time unfreezes. 3. Chaos Rush: This is a reworked version of the Hero Gauge Chaos Control, where it rushes you towards your objective, rather than the end of the level. So if your objective is “kill all the Black Arms,” it will dash you to the nearest group and auto attack them before rushing to the next group. 4. Chaos Warp: This brings up a map which will let you teleport wherever you choose on the map (except over pits), letting you easily backtrack to somewhere you may need to go for a specific power up or item.
It’d also be handy to have a mini map, especially for the non-linear level with the bombs because it is ridiculously easy to get lost in that level.
The transition from the final boss of a run to going into the True Ending level would also need work, because very few of the endings actually set you up to be on the Black Comet with the rest of the cast and have you as antagonistic to Black Doom.
Also, cut down on how many weapons there are and how many enemies can’t be beaten without them.
