i really think chloe and red would just be chatting one day and red would realize that chloe is rambling the more she stares at her and then without thinking red would just lean in and kiss chloe, kind of to shut her up bc she’s not paying attention anymore, and that would be how they know they like each other, yknow?? like this:

Decided to do one of those little head-canon things.

First things first:

Chloe looks like cinnamon roll.

Red does not.

Makes sense right? Chloe is a good girl who eats her vegetables, reads history books for fun, and goes to bed on time.

Red is a wildcard that breaks out (of her own house) and causes destruction (of her own house.)

Going by that, it would be safe to assume Chloe is indeed a cinnamon roll and Red could kill you without breaking a sweat. And you would be forgiven for thinking that.

Except Chloe has been learning to use a sword since she was five. Has sparred with the every knight stationed at her family’s castle at least twice by the time she was nine. And won her first competition at thirteen.

Red, on the other hand, was twelve when she decided she’d finally had enough and start breaking rules. Which usually meant just breaking things in general, and sometimes finding creative outlets for her artistic expression.

Red was a girl of hard edges around a soft interior. Chloe was soft features that hid a duty hardened soul.

It was one of the things that made them perfect for each other.

Red has never known what it means to feel safe her whole life. All Chloe knows is how to protect that which matters most.

It took a long time for her to prove it to Red, but when she did it was like she was seeing the girl for the first time. Not Red the closed off rebel, but Red the girl. And yes while she has seen Red look vulnerable before, it was never like this.

Never with eyes so wide open and almost scared, but also hopeful as Chloe kneeled before her. Sword plunged into the ground at her side as she swore to always be there for her, if Red would have her.

Of course the only way Chloe knew how to confess was how a knight would, it just made so much sense. How could Red ever have anyone else after this.

It would be impossible.

Just like they are in a way. The daughter of the Queen of Hearts with her very own Princess Charming.

But living in Wonderland wasn’t completely terrible. Sometimes good things did shine through the bad. She remembers hearing the stories of Alice and the importance of believing in impossible things. Six before breakfast, my dear, no more no less. At least one of those things has to come true.

Red thought it was hogwash, but it didn’t stop her heart from trying.

Except it’s not hogwash for one of those things has come true, and she couldn’t care less if it never happens again.

Chloe was her one impossible thing she’d spend the rest of her life being grateful for.

Okay, hear me out: CharmingHearts Time Loop AU.

Because Rise of Red has me in a fucking chokehold, and I am letting myself be strangled.

(This is a fic I'm in the process of writing - unfortunately it might take a bit since I don't have anyone to bounce ideas off of. the life of the only rise of red fan in the friendgroup :D)

The day of the coup begins as per normal.

It's September 1st. Red wakes up in her room.

She gets dressed and heads down to the courtyard, watching one of the newer card soldiers - a 6 of Spades - nearly trip over the carpet on the way there.

She attends court. The Jack of Diamonds nearly gets executed at her command - until Maddox shows up right on time and presents the Queen of Hearts with King Ben's Letter of Invitation. So they go to Auradon Prep, The Queen of Hearts gets her deck of cards past the guards at the entrance, Red watches Bridget and Ella get their "reunion" -- and meets Chloe for the first time in the process -- and then witnesses her mother stage a violent coup against Auradon, and gets coerced into sentencing Cinderella to death.

Now an innocent woman is going to die, everyone thinks that she's just like her mom, and that girl - Chloe Charming, her name was? - has her sword drawn, and is seemingly about to go on a suicide charge to try and attack the Queen of Hearts.

Red panics and activates the time machine she stole from Maddox.

Except this time, in this universe, the pocket watch doesn't quite have the effect that Maddox intended. In this universe, something goes wrong.

It's September 1st. Red wakes up in her room.

She watches the 6 of Spades trip over the carpet. She watches the Jack of Diamonds get dragged off to the dungeon - again.

She watches the invitation to Auradon arrive.

She watches her mother sneak the cards through the checkpoint, watches Bridget and Ella's tense conversation.

She meets Chloe, again.

This time, Red knows what's going to happen - what she needs to do. So during the ceremony, she steals her mother's deck of cards, attempting to prevent the coup from occurring. Except the Card Soldiers don't seem to care what hand the deck is in - they come when their Queen calls, ever loyal - ever fearful.

So the coup happens again, despite her efforts.

This time, she refuses to sentence Cinderella to death. So her mother, furious, has the guards lock her in what was initially intended to be her and Chloe's dorm room until she "decides what to do with her".

No matter. She messed up this time, but she knows better now. All she needs to do is --

The pocket watch doesn't work.

She clicks it - once, twice, three times. Nothing. No flash of light, no spiral back in time, nothing.

She's failed.

Red watches Cinderella's execution from her dorm - what would have been her dorm, if she hadn't failed, hadn't wasted the opportunity given to her, if she had just been a little bit stronger. She watches Chloe lunge at the Queen of Hearts - now the Queen of Auradon - with her sword drawn, only to be dragged off to God-Knows-Where.

She can't bring herself to think.

She just lies down on what would have been her bed, and before she knows it, she's asleep.

Red wakes up in her room.

It's September 1st.

It's still September 1st.

What the fuck?

It takes about two more resets before Red finally comes to terms with her situation - an embarrassingly long time, though if you think about it, it technically hasn't been very long at all.

On the 3rd loop, she tries to steal the cards from her mother before they set off for Auradon. That doesn't work - they just end up in her hands again, somehow.

On the 4th, 5th and 6th, she tries to warn the guards about the coup. Every single time, she gets laughed off - or worse, caught and punished.

On the 7th loop, she tries to warn Cinderella. Keyword, tries.

Her mother doesn't even let her get close enough to speak.

It's on the 8th loop that Red finds out she can't die - when she tries to physically stop her mother from unleashing her soldiers, and ends up sentenced to be beheaded for for treason alongside Cinderella.

She wakes up the morning of the 1st of September with a jagged scar looping around her throat.

On the 9th loop, she starts talking to Chloe.

It's hard, at first. Small talk, almost painful in it's awkwardness - the tension between their parents certainly doesn't help.

It's hard the second time too, and the third, and the fourth, and the fifth. She's not used to talking to someone who isn't subservient, isn't scared out of their wits of the terror her mother brings.

(She's not used to talking to someone who's genuinely nice to her.)

(She's not used to being genuinely nice to someone, either. Even despite the pang of guilt that Chloe's hurt expression puts through her chest every time she says something wrong, every time she fucks up.)

But day by day, reset by reset, Red starts to learn more.

She learns that Chloe's favourite colour is, unsurprisingly, blue. She learns that her Father's name is Christopher, and that she has an adoptive brother named Chad. She learns that she's planning on joining Auradon's Swords and Shields club.

She learns that one of her biggest dreams in life, above anything else, is to become a hero - a Knight.

(The brave, blue idiot. Of course it is. She's seen Chloe charge at her mother with naught but a sword and a roar of righteous fury at least 5 times now.)

(She's seen her get run through with a spear in retaliation for 3 of them.)

(She's seen her get beheaded for it once.)

The loops keep coming. Red keeps failing. But talking to Chloe makes it ever so slightly more bearable.

Even so, it does hurt sometimes, to know the Princess so well when she never, ever remembers Red in turn. To watch Chloe die or be imprisoned at her mother's hand again and again, to see the betrayal in her eyes - betrayal that turns to shock and horror in the fading corners of Red's vision after she grabs the nearest Card Soldier's spear and drives it through her own chest.

(What? It's a more efficient method than just going to sleep.)

The day repeats, over and over. Red keeps learning more and more about Princess Charming. She keeps trying to save her, over and over.

It doesn't work. It never does.

( "I'm going to fix this," she swears, on the 20th loop - while they sit together in a cell, awaiting their inevitable executions.

Chloe almost laughs at the notion - but something in the Princess of Wonderland's eyes makes her want to believe her.

When they get dragged out to the courtyard and forced onto the chopping block, when Red takes her hand in hers and offers her a cocky, confident grin, she almost does.)

Red keeps trying anyway.

Because any amount of deaths, any amount of executions, any amount of resets, is a fair price to pay to give Chloe a better outcome than this.

It's the very least she can do for her only friend.

She accidentally breaks the watch, so she need to find her moms from the past, because the only person who can fix it it's Hatter and she need to go back home or her moms from the future will start a search party in the whole kingdom

"Hard? It was excruciating, I relive it every day since" the queen coldly exclaimed.

"We all do. She was like a dream, but she is gone now. We have to move on Bridget"

"Don't you dare speak of her in my presence! You did not care back then." The Queen yelled out. "Now kneel" she gestured with her hand.

"I will never kneel to a tyrant"

"She's denied a royal order. What do we do about that, darling?" The Red Queen turned to her daughter smiling ear to ear. But don't let it get you. It's not the nice kind.

"Look, all you have to do is swear allegiance. Is that so hard?" Red butt in to Cinderella, she knew it was about to go down.

"If it means compromising everything I stand for, yes."

"Who are you loyal to Red? These strangers or your mother? Now make me proud for once" Bridget took a hold of Red's face, grinning like she was about to win. She was of course.

"Come on Bridget, even your daughter knows it's wrong, she can't do it" This sentence made something snap in Red, like a force pulling her towards the bad, a little devil sitting on her shoulder. But she felt vulnerable. Did she really want that? Her heart thumped in her chest."Treason! She's guilty of treason, and that means off with her head!" Wrong, it felt so wrong, to the point she felt dizzy, the whole world spinning.

"Exactly right, my dear! Off with her head!" The royal guards began walking the other queen, her daughter desperately trying to pry the others away. Red coming straight at her, her spinning head did not help in trying to take out the pocket watch and steadying her posture.

But she did, and what happened next was not what she expected..

"Now great! We traveled 20 years back in time! Fucking excellent Red" Chloe yelled, angered as her mother was just sentenced to death by the very girl standing beside her

"Calm down, little goody princess pop star. I meant to sent us back just a few minutes so i could take my mothers cards, but it took us here. I certainly did not mean to take you with me" Red remarked, thinking hard about why she ended up in this exact moment.

"Well, we're here now, so might as well undo whatever made your mom so evil" Chloe paced back and forth, clutching her sword tightly in her hand, something she did often while being stressed beyond heavens.

"And how exactly are you planning to prevent murder, Chloe?" The princess of Wonderland asked sarcastically. Because truly, how were they supposed to do it? They didn't know who did it, how, when, and where. It was all a mystery to them. It's like this death was completely erased from existence. No one mentioned it. After all, why would you reminisce such a sad and sudden death that became a start to many years of misery and tyranny of one of the cruelest rulers known of."We could at least, i don't know...try? My mom said it happened after a talk about flamingos?" What? Was she joking, really?

"Let's just look for our mothers for now."

And thats what they did, what brought them to this exact moment.

"Hey my love, how are these cupcakes you talked about?" A strange girl sat down on one of the benches in the school halls looking at Bridget, Red's mom, with such loving eyes just begging for an ounce of touch from the pink one. She must have heard her pleads as she sat down on her lap, throwing her arm around the others neck.

"They are great! I saved you one or two...plates" Bridget grinned. She could never do too little for the girl she was so desperately in love with. Although they claimed to be just bestest of best friends, too shy to admit they literally wore each other's hearts on their chests. "These flamingo feathers you went so out of way to get for me really turned out excellent as a topping." She smiled widely once again. Something you could never grow tired of. Her enchanting eyes and magical pink hair drawing you in.

"Who is that?" Red whispered to Ella, Chloe's mother.

"Y/n Cupid, Bridget's childhood best friend"

"Aree you sureee they are just that?" Chloe questioned as she smiled sheepishly. "It surely looks like more than that to me,"What a sight, seeing the cruel Queen of Hearts (who is now such a sweet and kind soul) be so lovey dovey with another person. That alone made Red's head spiral. Her mother was not mad evil? She was good-hearted? And she had a lover? That is something she would never grasp after all those years of fake smiles and cold orders.

"Mhm, they are. Although I strongly suggest them every day to make a closer move. They won't budge like stuck-up little kids."

"Well lovely, I will try not to eat them all in one sitting." You continued, taking Bridget's hand in yours, softly swiping your finger across her palm. Her breath hitched. It was something you'd done quite often, but even the slightest touch from you made her head dizzy and the goosebumps on her skin to pop instantly.

"Y-You, I" She stuttered out, nothing more coming in to her clouded mind, you giggled at her cutness, what resulted in you being hit by her in the head "Be careful, try not to turn into a flamingo, they are awsome but only one at a time sweetie" She kissed your cheek quickly, she was feeling bold, usually she'd just boop your nose or something. A kiss was a big declaration from her. She loved physical touch, she loved hugs, grazing or intertwining hands. But a kiss was something she preserved only for her one and only.

"Okay, it was nice meeting you, Red and Chloe, I'll be going now. I have a shit load of homework from Professor Merlin. Bye Ella, see you later B!" You sent them a kiss and dissappeared in the halls.

"Bridget!" The lovesick girl jumped upon her name being yelled out "She is so totally in love with you!" Chloe squealed, not being able to keep her excitement in, taking the princesses hands and jumping around."No, no. We are just friends. She would never look at me that way" Bridget sadly sighed, playing with her heart necklace she got from her 'friend'

It was a truly beautiful gift, just a necklace with a heart, but if you were to look at it from the other side. The necklace was made from silver, crafted by Hephaestus himself, the red heart was a gemstone made differently, it was a part of the glass heart of cupid.

As Bridget realized what an oblivious idiot she had been, she took a run after you, clutching the necklace in her hand. After a minute, she found you in the gardens.

The sight of your unconscious body made Bridget shiver, freeze, almost as if she had stepped foot on the Boomerang Nebula. She fell, her weak knees hitting the blood-stained ground. The once beautiful, white pebbles, turning maroon as the red liquid pooled out of the corpse.

A terrifying, horror like scream was all that could be heard...

No one would imagine a dead body with a spear shot right through the heart in the broad daylight while waking out on the school grounds. Hazed eyes, once full of life, staring longingly into the distance. And the strong grip of the hand, oh so soft, still remaining on the spear. The white button-up shirt peppered in small hearts growing more and more burgundy with each passing second.

She could not believe it. You were gone.

The love of her life

She could not stop the anger mixed with hurt and unimaginable sadness growing in her heart as she watched her lovers lifeless body. She threw a fit with the intention of hurting everyone in the mere distance. Luckily, no one was there to be hurt. Throwing her cards up in the air, shooting fires, and demolishing basically everything she could see.

Bridget broke down crying. There was nothing she could do to bring her life back, her life back.

As Chloe successfully shielded her princess from the fires and chaos thrown by her mother, Bridget fell on her knees once again. They stared at the scene before them.

They cursed themselves that they weren't able to stop the killing. They had failed.

Red felt absolutely terrible seeing her mother so heartbroken. She saw only the worst part of her. She never even thought there once was this sweet, kind, thoughtful, and such a loving princess within her. She wondered of all these good times she could have, with her other 'mom' too. As she was wishing she could've come sooner to stop this nonsense, however would she have done it, Chloe ran to her mom's younger version. Dropping on her knees just a couple inches away, wrapping the pink girl in her embrace. So strong, so comforting.

Bridget laid her head on her chest, sobbing uncontrollably, gripping Chloe's blue shirt so tightly she was most likely to rip it apart any second. That is truly what she needed, a warm presence holding her so she wouldn't go mad.

"Cry Bridget, I'm here for you," and that's what she did. She cried till she was out of energy to do so. She just stared in the distance, thinking of nothing. There was nothing left for her. She took ahold of her lovers hand, vowing to herself she'd never fall in love again.

And she'll keep your heart, just how you have kept hers.

umm i do think cinderella was (intentionally or not) involved in the prank. bridget directed the "humiliating a girl at her first dance, turning her into a monster in front of everyone" at ella and ella just said "you're right" ("you didn't care then, you were off with your prince")

"now make me proud, for once" red only indirectly sentenced ella to death to satisfy her mother and gain acceptance 🗣🗣 bottom alert (and bc ella indirectly challenged her lmao) also what she actually said was "treason. she's guilty of treason" qoh actually called the beheading

qoh kissed red's cheek when she did what she wanted (ie. physical affection as a reward??)

I have a new Glassheart fic idea:

-Red after getting caught skipping one too many times is forced to become Auradon Prep’s mascot by Uma. Of course she has to keep it a secret from the general student body, but she also keeps it a secret from Chloe because she’s just so embarrassed by the whole ordeal.

-Well the mascot is at pretty much every home game that the school’s teams play, including Swords and Shields.

-Chloe starts to notice that Red is making up excuses to not go to her meets, which makes her think Red is avoiding her for some reason.

-Red has to lie constantly about where she is going, and it doesn’t help that she’ll come back drenched in sweat and immediately go to the shower. Chloe has no clue what Red could possibly be doing, but she’s insanely worried.

That’s the main gist of it. I’d have to map it out and what not, but I think it’d be pretty fun, especially since I work as a mascot so I know a bit of the ins and outs of it.

But I just wanted to run that here and see what you all think!

Just Came up with a Rebel Red AU

like here me out instead of the queen of hearts immediately starting the coup she sends Red as a spy almost like a recon mission scoping out how many guards they are likely to go up against, the types of magic (or lack there of) that developed over the years, etc very much like the og descendents except in order to stay inconspicuous when she's scoping out security or just feel like breaking curfew she hides her face acting as a vigilante much like in her opening in the movie (see where I'm going with this)

She starts to realize just how free Auradon is thanks to her midnight escapades and the help Chloe but she starts get sloppy. People are starting to notice weird shadows doing parcour on the roofs of Auradon prep. Graffiti tags on random buildings that weren't there before, no one knows if this mysterious stranger is good or not, not even the stranger herself, but suddenly Red’s alter ego is the most wanted criminal in all of Auradon.

One night while Red is doing recon on a particular portal to Auradon (because in the au wonderland is still borded up) Chloe catches sight of her while practicing late in the courtyard. Of course being a knight and all she follows her (instead of telling the principal much to Red’s influence) and catches her off guard. Red is conflict because on one hand she's supposed to be the queen of hearts cold blooded spy meaning she was supposed to do whatever it takes to surve the kingdom, but on the other hand this wasn't just any knight holding a sword to her chest, this was her knight, this was Chloe. So she makes a decision that could cost her everything (not saying what the decision was it could go either way I have ideas for both)

And yeah that's pretty much all I got uhm I had the idea that there could be some cute secret identity hijinks throughout the story like for example:

Chloe: I can't believe no one's caught this guy yet

Red: Yeah they're the worst

Red: but like do you think that they're cute?

Chloe: What?

Red: What?

GlassHeart ✨au✨ Or something like that

Well, we've all seen these sports au's by glassheart (I think there are like three of them? I don't know, it's a lot).

And it gave me the idea for two au's, one a little more serious and the other is just a joke that occurred to me.

Glassheart! But they're both chess players. Ok, think about it.

Chloe, who is a star student in both sports and intelligence, So she decides to learn to play chess, which she turns out to be very good at but she is not passionate about the game but still she is the undefeated queen in chess.

And Red, who learned only because the Queen of Hearts forced her to learn about strategy, though after a while she begins to genuinely love the game because Because to beat her opponent she has to be more clever and resourceful than the other to win.

They both meet on the first day of school and have a tremendously difficult chess game that ends in a draw. Both are very competitive, so they would continue to have games in order to defeat the other, but they always end up in a draw.

So they spend the whole semester fighting and being rivals but little by little they fall in love.

Furthermore, their games last almost a week because each one takes a minimum of seven hours just to move a pawn.

(I was obsessed with chess for three years of my life and that's why I'm now making an au about chess for glassheart? Maybe).

For the joke au I was thinking literally of the image "such a trope, but it's reversed" For example: "they win by the power of friendship" becomes "they lose by the power of friendship".

So I have the honor(?) to present to you:

Glassheart! But neither of them are good at sports.

Ok, I know, Chloe is good at using swords and Red at doing parkour, but this au is not very serious so don't take it seriously.

For this au I thought of two variants:

1) They both know the rules of and plays of all sports, but no matter how hard they try they are simply unable to play them the right way. Both frustrated by this situation, they team up in order to be able to play a sport well.

2) Actually each is pretty good at sports, but they meet for the first time in gym class and have a massive gay crush that is accompanied by an even worse gay panic so they don't can concentrate on what they are doing so they start to play worse and worse. It doesn't help that they're on the same teams or that they're both too stubborn to admit that they like each other.

Well, I have submitted my obligatory au Glassheart for this fandom. I'm leaving 🫡

"Wait Red, shouldn't we like.. check if everything is gonna be ok at Castlecoming?" Chloe says as they walk towards the courtyard, where they started this whole adventure.

Red stops, blinks and stares at her for a second, dumbfounded.

"you're bad at lying, boo" she teases and smirks at the blush creeping on Chloe's face "You just want to go to Castlecoming yourself"

Chloe shoves her "S-Shut up" Her face tinted red, but her expression stern and annoyed. She sighs "But I do really want to go.." she plays with her hands nervously..why is she so nervous?

Red chuckles lightly "I know, Princess. I can read you like a fairytale"

She takes one of Chloe's hands, which stops her fidgeting with her fingers, and turns around, to walk back inside the school. "And I don't see why we can't have a little more fun here." It looks like she wanted to say more but she stopped herself. Not wanting to think about the future right now or if their plan actually worked or if her mother is still-

Stop. Red shakes her head and Chloe looks at her concerned.

Chloe was surprised as Red took her hand, and even more when she turned around and pulled her with. She wanted to ask if she was serious when suddenly Red's expression turned sour and worried.

"Red, you okay?..We don't have to go if-" Red cuts her off "No! No. I-.. I was just-" Red doesn't know if she should tell Chloe about her worries. She doesn't want to ruin her mood.

"It's nothing" she decides. Chloe gives her a look "...I'll tell you later" Chloe gives her another look "..I promise"

That seems good enough for Chloe right now and she smiles. Red can't help but to smile too. She looks back to the front and they continue walking.

Until Chloe stops again, making Red also stop since they are still holding hands..which Red just notices and immediately let's go. She'll think about her face heating up later, right now Chloe's panicked expression seems more important.

"What's wrong, Blue-" she finishes right when Chloe locks eyes with her. "We don't have anything to wear!?"

Red was dumbfounded, again.

"Wherewouldwefinddresses?! Howmuchtimedowehave?! Arestoresevenopenrightnow? DOWEEVENHAVEMONEYTO-!"

Red burts out laughing. Chloe is walking back and forth, arms going everywhere.

Chloe was pacing as she suddenly stops and hears Red laughing. She stares for a second but shakes her head and looks at Red annoyed "What are you laughing at?" She put her arm on her hip "You want to go looking like that?" She looks Red up and down.

Their clothes were covered in dirt and dried mud, mostly their shoes and pants. They also have holes, well more like slits, from the flying sword slashes.

Most just hit their clothes but one hit Red's arm. They only noticed an hour ago when the adrenaline wore off and Red felt the pain from her arm. They bandaged it.

Red takes in a few breaths as she stops laughing, still chuckling a bit.

Chloe gives her a look, again, challenging her to tell her she's wrong. Red then frowns with fake annoyance and in thought. "mm. I hate to say it.." Chloe's smile grew smug. Red almost doesn't want to give it to her. Almost "You're right, Princess" she sighs, defeated. Chloe smiles. Red can't help but to smile too.

It was worth it to see Chloe's eyes shine with pride and her smile growing, which she is trying to hide. Like a puppy who's trying not to wag its tail.

As Chloe was about to start talking, they hear a familiar voice calling out to them behind Red.

"Red! Chloe! What are you doing here? The dance is at the other courtyard!"

As Red turns around and Chloe steps to the side. They both see Bridget in a beautiful light pink gown, mixed with darker pink and white. (I would love to describe it, I just don't know what lol)

Chloe and Red say nothing as Bridget walks over to them "And why aren't you dressed yet?" She looks confused when she suddenly realizes "Oh my cards! Did you even pack and formal wear?! Oh no no. This won't do."

Bridget takes them by the hand and drags them, to wherever she's going.

She doesn't notice that Chloe and Red haven't said a word yet, mostly because she didn't give them any time to speak.

However

Red notices something off about Bridget.

And it worries her.

Charminghearts || Ghostface Headcanons.

(Imagine with me here, simply under different circumstances!)

- Red is the one to make the calls, voice modulator gifted to her by Maddox under the premise of simply pulling a few harmless pranks on her friends and on Chloe, no malicious intent, right?

- She always does it late at night, hissing out terrible jabs about their victim’s parents or who they’re related to by any means. (Ex; “One wave of your mother’s wand can’t save you from this, what a fairy she is.”)

- Chloe is the real one to do the killing, being sword trained and particularly fast, it becomes more of a game to her, even as something dark shifts in her the more the blood meets the blade.

- She might be the most unserious part about this whole affair, unable to stop herself from at least showing off one knife trick before ending the victim’s life. It ends up in her getting an eye roll from her girlfriend afterwards, “The last thing they see can’t be a knife trick! That’s dumb!” “It’s only dumb because you’re not seeing it!”

- Their ability to cover their crimes is practically uncanny, Red can cover their tracks faster than Chloe can make them and they often think of these events as ‘dates’ too. (Although more often than not they do go on real dates, these clean ups are like aftermaths.)

- Chloe does treat the killings as hunter hunting prey, an almost predatory behavior as she pushes open doors and tears down whatever’s in her way to get to the assigned victim of the night. It’s a scary sight that even manages to frighten Red at times.

- Their motive mostly hinges on Red, angry at her mother for keeping her from Auradon for so long and then pushing her out to be with them as if they won’t look at her like she’s some zoo animal. It made her angry, it made her lash out.

- Chloe follows Red like a lovely knight. When a Charming falls in love, they fall hard, and so deep it could border one something close to obsession if they’re not careful. It’s a thrilling feeling, killing under her girlfriend’s orders, even when it goes against every moral her mother’s storybooks have taught her.

- They often get told rumors about themselves, even when crossing the halls in Auradon Chloe gets stopped at least once to talk about it, with Red looking over her shoulder and sizing up the person. “Did you hear? Someone else was killed last night! I heard it was on the museum steps without the cameras even seeing them!” “Oh my god, that’s terrible.. isn’t it Red?” “Yeah.. I didn’t know people had the heart to do that.”

- Red is ultimately the mastermind to this endeavor, think Billy Loomis to Chloe’s Stu Macher. She is the angry one, the one who is lashing out, and there’s no coercion on Chloe’s part either. She loves her- they love each other, this becomes as normal as it can be for the two girls. They’re dedicated, and don’t see themselves getting caught in the future.

While it wasn’t quite so early in the morning when the infamous Red of Hearts decided to barge into her office, again, it was around the time Uma was about to sit down and enjoy a quick cup of coffee before the more hectic parts of her day would begin. So perhaps you could forgive her for entertaining the thought of throwing the red head out the window. It was only for a second, she would assure you. As a principle she must not condone violence.

As a pirate, well, that’s different.

But she’s actually gotten quite use to Red coming into her office what feels like every other day, sometimes welcomed sometimes not, always for one reason or another. That a part of her actually kind of expected it.

What she did not expect was for Red to fling/splay herself upon the couch as if she was in a therapy session and for the first words out of her mouth to be. “Chloe won’t kiss me.”

Uma very nearly did a spit take as she placed her mug down upon her desk. “What?” Was the girl really coming to her Principal for relationship advice? Not that she was any bad at it, but really?

Red ignored the sound of Uma nearly choking in favor of her own problems. “At first I thought it was because she didn’t actually like me like that. That she only agreed to date me because I had no experience with love and she felt bad for me. I mean, every time I tried to take our relationship to the next level she always turned away, how could I not think that right?”

“Hmm.”

“Except I finally confronted her about it and you know what she says?”

“I can’t imagine what it could be.” Uma genuinely means that too, everyone knows Chloe really likes Red, like a lot. Whatever is holding her back has to be rather significant.

“She said, I can’t kiss you Red, if I do then I’ll have to marry you.”

Oh hex, Uma should not have tried to take another sip so soon. This time her throat was too preoccupied to even get the word out so she thought it in her head. ‘What?’ Fortunately the lack of response didn’t matter to Red in the least.

“Suffice to say, that really threw me for a loop so I very calmly and gently asked her ‘what the hex are you talking about?’ And her response was ‘that’s how it always happens, Red. Once true loves kiss is shared it’s marriage and happily ever after. Don’t get me wrong, I really like you, and don’t mind at all the thought of marrying you. But we’re only sixteen, and what if you find out being tied down with me is not what you wanted. After all you’re all about-“

“Breaking rules and causing trouble?”

“She used the word freedom.”

“Course she did. Red, did you come to me for reassurance that wedding bells won’t start ringing the second your lips touch your Charming’s?”

Though she provides no response Red gives her a look that is actually rather innocent coming from her, cluing Uma in that she’s on the right track.

“Look, I can’t say that it won’t. She’s right, these fairytales feel like they happen fast. You two have all the makings of a fairytale if I ever saw one, and I was even there to witness Ben and Mal back in the day.” She pauses for a moment as she considers her next words. “But let me ask you something. Would that really be so bad?”

“I’m…not sure.” Red’s response is rather honest and genuine so Uma continues with the same.

“Red, these people didn’t get married because their fairytale told them to. It’s because they loved each other so much that the thought of cementing it in stone, or carving it out into the hull of a ship just felt right.”

Red really looked as if she was truly taking in what Uma was saying…for once.

“Now, to think you’ll be married so soon after your first kiss is a bit of an exaggeration. That kid is surprisingly sheltered for one so good with swords.”

“Tell me about it.”

“But, if it does happen some time in the future. I ask again, would it really be so bad?”

After a moment of thought Red offers Uma a small and genuine smile. “No, I don’t think it would.”

“Now go get that kiss.” Huh, why does that line remind her of something from years ago, royals are so weird. “And for the love of the sea can you please stop breaking into my office with or without me in it!”

“Thanks a lot, Principal Uma, I’ll see you later.” Red calls back as she leaves rather cheerfully, causing Uma to grin despite herself.

“Red of Hearts, I know you heard me.”

Finally! I will say now that the class girls will likely take a long time as well.

Kagami's first and second looks here are meant to be her pre and post character development outfits.

Buckle in, this is a long (haha) one

Kagami in cannon is clearly designsed to resemble Marinette in a lot of ways, both are of Asian decent and have blue-ish hair and blue eyes. Both have freckles and even their suits share a very similar color pallet. At least Luka was different from Adrien in more than personality.

I didn't want that for my Kagami. I wanted her too look like more than a Marinette clone. So she gets to keep her freckles since my Marinette doesn't have any. Her hair is a darker color instead of a blue, and her eyes take on a stormy grey color. And of course their body types are different, namely Kagami is both taller and ripped.

Ryuko's hair is more blue since I gave the miraculous blue, white, and gold accent to match the weather pattern on her chest. Her hair get's shorter, pinned back and is a bit more wild. It's probably got some static. Little horns and some armor to keep her extra safe as well as further resembling scales. Her suit is closer to an orange shade than Ladybug's cool red. I almost switched her to blue since I agree with the sentiment that the dragon should have been blue. But red looked good too.

I don't particularly like any of the akuma designs for Kagami. I like Oni-Chan in concept at least (hate the name) so I decided to combine that with Riposte to create her initial design. Than she gets a pallet swap and a few thorny details to represent the rose. And Bara-Oni, literally just 'Rose Demon' I ain't creative, when Lila pulls her stunt. Which would have less to do with "How could Adrien do this to me," to "That bitch is kissing Adiren when he is CLEARLY uncomfortable!"

Kagami's personality is very similar to cannon, however her character still has some pretty harsh changes. Kagami has come to realse through Adrien and Marinette's friendship that she isn't very happy with her life. Her mother is trying to live through her, forcing Kagami to participate in fencing and putting pressure on her to perform perfectly in every aspect of life.

This comes to a head when she is given Longg. While sitting in the akumatized mech her mother became, all because she had the audacity to make friends, she actually waits long (haha) enough for Longg to explain the miraculous. When Longg explains the weapon he points out that she must be thrilled to have a sword. At which point Kagami has an emotional breakdown and sobs that she doesn't even like sword fighting. That she would rather learn hand to hand combat and that she's wanted to switch for years but her mother refused to hear it.

Longg says her can change her weapon to better suit her, and she get's armor and the abilitly to summon gauntlets when her power activates.

After having this break she and Adrien sit down and try and find ways for Kagami to feel more like an individual without being disowned at 16. Cutting/dyeing your hair and getting a Tattoo are two of the results, and since Kagami already has short hair and doens't really want to go shorter she gets the tattoo instead. Subtly referencing her time as Ryuko but in blue (her favorite color). And of course her mother is blind and doesn't know

Is it kind of shitty to abuse your mother's disability to use her money and get a tattoo? Maybe. But that's what you get for mentally and emotionally warping your duaghter to the point where she lies about her favorite color to please you. She, Adrien, and Chloe are in the "Our mom's suck" club together. Chloe will be collecting her for new wardrobe shopping.

Ooooohhhh I love little devil's design!!! What's her weapon, do you have any reference or layout?? Your character designs are all so cool!!

In Scarlet Lady, she's on the same level as the Nightmare Ladybug from the canon episode "Sandboy". Brutal, strong, and has the big beserker sword that Antibug had and canon keeps bringing back lol.

Originally, I made Little Devil 4 years ago when the sneak peak for "Chameleon" came out because it was the first time I could feasibly see Marinette being akumatized, so I had a clear vision (lol and then the episode ACTUALLY had her almost akumatized.

She didn't have a weapon, but could fly and had little minions who would repeat back a person's worst thoughts about themselves until the person got turned into an agonized and violent devil themself. And of course those minions could report back to Little Devil the thoughts they collected (they had to come in contact with someone to hear them) so that she could use them against the person if she wanted.

Back then I theorized that someone like Chloe would be immune, or at least would shrug off the attacks, because their self image was so good. Now I'd add Luka, Kagami, unfortunately Lila, and probably Mme. Bustier. You can probably guess from that list that being "immune" isn't necessarily a badge of Good Character.
