Like what do you MEAN you somehow remember a conversation you had with someone word-for-word 5 years ago right before your alien encounter???? I'm about to unfollow all of the "true stories" youtubers because of this. I think it's pretty easy to tell a fake story from a real one (how descriptive they're being for EVERYTHING, somehow remembering little details, super obvious contradictions, ect)

I hate how society is so fat phobic that people will question why someone with t2 diabetes needs a medication to control blood sugar more than their need to lose weight. Like maybe, just maybe, having an uncontrolled blood sugar of 300 is just a little more dangerous than you potentially having health problems years down the line. One is decidedly more dangerous.

I saw a "Yttd hot takes" post yesterday and it actually tickles my brain a bit how the majority of responses are not hot takes at all and mostly boil down to not caring for/hating Midori and saying that he's not deep or interesting at all and very surface level, thinking soushin is "proship" and if you like it you're probably an abuser irl or that you're ""romanticising"" abuse (that word needs to be put on the highest possible shelf btw) if you interpret it as romantic and that the greenblings reveal sucks because somehow it means that Sou and Kanna aren't found family anymore. There's having hot takes and then there's misunderstanding characters/dynamics and spouting the same dangerous bs all fandoms do, and 95% of the responses leaned heavily towards the latter options.

I have opinions on that greenblings take, but those soushin and Midori takes are something else and by that I mean not at all. Like, I'm sorry, but if your "hot take" doesn't oppose the general consensus of the fandom you're in, it's not a hot take. You're serving me white rice with unseasoned chicken and bland curry and I call that false advertising.

My brain is fixated after seeing FNAF and realizing Josh was in a lot of movies that drastically shaped my childhood (and current) tastes in fiction but I can't find them available anywhere so I'm just sitting here like

Hywel is inspired by a mix of my issues with stories with nonhuman protagonist/about nonhumans becoming human AND vet posts ive seen warning people about the dangers of anthropomorphisizing animals. Its fine to joke about your pets doing things out of spite or other human emotions, it does put you at risk of not being able to read their body language correctly. Cats dont cry out of sadness, a cat crying, with actual tears streaming down its face, is a sign of a medical issue. A dog smiling isn't doing it bc its happy, it means its nervous. Not being able to spot these is bad, and sometimes even dangerous, for you and the animal.

If you never get past Hywel's human appearance and treat him like one its like getting a reactive dog, doing zero research or training, and then taking it to a dog park. If Hywel mauls someone in town then its on you.
