OK SO LET'S TALK MY JAYA SON OC, enteeeer... Jamie! Full name, Jaemin. He is the older child of Jay and Nya, and he inherited Nya's water element. He has a younger sister, Rosie, who is the master of lightning, but more about her later. Right now I wanna talk a bit about Jamie!
Firstly, the name Jamie, was actually a placeholder name, but I'm probably never going to change it. I thought naming him Jamie was cheesy, but it grew on me so here we are, he is Jamie now!
So Jamie, he is the new master of water, he unlocked his true potential shortly before a new team was starting to form. Unlike our other main character, Liann, Jamie was more or less involved with the monastery due to his uncle, Kai, still having his element and being involved with Sora, Arin and Wyldfyre, who currently are the care takers of the monastery. So Jamie is another character who is trained by his parents, and he was used to the terms of ninja.
Jamie also becomes the co-leader of the new team alongside Liann. Before and during their first mission, Liann's more socially awkward and introverted nature, which is something she shares with Jamie, causes Jamie to think she is not very fond of him. But later they talk it out, and solve their issues with the power of ✨️communication✨️, which also in the story shows how they were raised and how they learned to solve problems from their families. I love Jaya and Geode so much, they are exellent parents.
Ok sorry, not drifting from the topic. Jamie gets his "always thinks of the worst outcome" habit from Jay, but he mixes it with Nya's "ok but calm down, let's think about a way out" so he is the smart/brain leader. He always considers every outcome, and in the beginning this makes him be scared of acting fast, because he feels the need to calculate every situation, but he manages to overcome this and starts using his ability to see the next few steps perfectly in his leaderships.
He is also the oldest of the team, same age with Liann, younger by a few months.
He is a very skilled ice skater! This is also a callback to Jay's skating skills! I love when characters carry traits from their family, this is also something I used with Liann, which I'll again, talk more in detail later!
He did unlock his true potential before the events of the first mission arc, but not really. What I mean is, Jamie fully overcame his fears of doing the wrong move during the mission, and finally unlocked his real true potential, using everything his powers offer for the first time ever. He learns that sometimes doing the non-perfect move is better than doing nothing, and he can't always be aware of everything. He can fix what he breaks later, one step at a time.
He is more like Nya in terms of being introverted and less of a yapper, though he has his moments of yapping too. His sister Rosie is a bigger yapper but lacks the passion Jamie has. She is just naturally sweet and friendly. While Jamie has Jay's hyperfixations mixed with Nya's usually calmer and more quiet nature, Rosie has the outgoing and talkative attitude, but her thing isn't the more brain/technical stuff like Jamie.
Despite people trying to put Jamie against his co-leader, Jamie is confident in himself. Which again, something he learned from his parents, mostly from Jay's experiences of feeling insecure. He knows how strong he is, and despite Liann lookinh like the more poster ninja, Jamie knows he is irreplacable and essential to the team.
You see, Liann is a more emotional decision maker. She has to act, she has to help, she can't stop to think about her steps. She needs Jamie to ground her, needs him to stay calm. But at the same time, Jamie needs Liann's fast thinking in combat and ability to be brave in scary situations to start acting himself. They balance each other, which is why they are not a "we need them both in but let's make one more interesting and overshadow the other" ridiculousy, but a great match to lead, both having something the other is not very strong in or even lack.
Oh I was almost finishing this ✨️ted talk✨️ without mentioning his looks! He has the light brown hair from Jay, maybe even a little lighter than his because ✨️LIBBER'S GENES ENTER✨️ and mixes Jay's brown hair with her blonde. He has a mole on the side of his nose, and has a slightly tan skin, mixing Jay and Nya's skin colors. He is not that tall, let's say he is avarage. Liann, in comparison, is slightly taller than him. He also has a few iconic moles around his body too. Mostly the ones on his arms and a few small ones on his neck are the ones you easily notice. Though I doubt this works in a Lego format... ANYWAY!
Ok I don't know what else, I might add later!

HELLOO!! I saw that your requests were open so I wanted to request something for Ninjago!!
Basically a hc where the ninja see the reader as their baby sibling (so obviously platonic) and they would do anything for them and protect them on missions or if they got in trouble with others! Just some sibling fluff because we are in need of this stuff!
Hopefully that made sense and hopefully you're having a WONDERFUL day! Thank you❤️
Yw + Ty!! <33
There r gonna be spoilers for certain seasons in this-
So Basically for hcs with a reader that is viewed as a lil sib to ninjas.
You will definitely be treated like a child/baby.
This is just assuming you're one of the youngest in the ninja group, (including Lloyd), or you're a bit childish, whatever it would take for the ninja to view you as a younger sib.
Most likely, you're very close with them, or at least most of them, and know lots about them, and they know lots about you!
That being said....
There most definitely will be light hearted teasing/joking about you being 'the youngest' of the group no matter your age, and that may be annoying at times.
If you dislike the teasing/jokes though, they'll (tro to) stop.
So, into the ninjas relationships with you.(Lloyd, Kai, Cole, Zane, and Jay, including Nya)
Zane
Personally a fav of mine, Zane is really the guy to go to when you need help in the brains department.
He's also an excellent cook, who'd be willing to give the youngest sib something to eat whenever you're hungry.
I see Zane as the one who's although not the best at understanding emotion, will try to comfort you if you get upset or annoyed by one of your other brothers/sister, or are just having a bad day in general.
"Stay Calm y/n. Good things come to people who are able to stay calm."
"...you got that from Master Wu, right?"
"Yes, I did. Did it make you feel better?"
"...Sorta. Thanks Zane."
"I am here anytime you would like to talk, little sibling."
Allow me to add-
Even if you get scolded for getting into trouble, Zane will have this kinda look towards you that's like :
'That was very brave of you, y/n', or 'Good job defending yourself.'
He'll probs talk to u abt the event after it happens too just bc-
Jay
So we got the master of lightning.
If you're the type to tease, then here's the guy-
Aside from Lloyd, Jay's the only one who's ' element' isn't actually an element-
Cue you messing around with him and playfully joking abt his element.
Now if your element isn't actually an element either, well be prepared-
For more fluff stuff, Jay and you will probably compete against each other along with the other ninja, or maybe he's just gonna pester ya while you're doing something.
For the whole when he gets the hots for Nya, Jay may or may not ask for dating advice. Depending on how your love life is n stuff.
Now according to generic protection, Jay will try n seem a bit tough, beat up the evil with his nunchucks, y'know?
Keep the youngest safe (not that it really matters how old you are, you're gonna be the youngest to the master of lightning-)
Cole
Now, I feel you'd get along best if your element had something to do with earth, or you're just a nature enjoyer in general.
But for the general subjects.
Personally, I'm able to imagine Cole as like, the older brother who didn't realize what was going on, though that role may fit Kai or Lloyd better.
He and you may have disputes at times, along with Jay, but y'all get along in general.
And while I didn't really talk about this in the Jay section, when the time comes to where they're arguing over Nya, you could just be a lil sneaky and tell Nya legit all about their arguments over her as a youngest sibling would,
Or you could ignite the arguments a lil more, or who knows??
It's really up to you-
During battle, Cole will act similar to Jay, tryna show off some, but he may check on you a bit more often, quick glances to make sure you haven't run off to fight an enemy in Narnia or some bullsh-
Kai
Ima just jump to the protection start bc I've got more ideas for this fiery boi-
Seeing as Kai's lil sis, Nya, is also in the group, he'd probably be the most protective out of them all.
While all the Ninja care about you, Kai's the one who actually has experience with his lil sis Nya, and likely knows the best ways to make sure you don't get yourself into trouble.
Tbh, he'd probably treat you the same way he treats Nya.
Telling you to 'stay back so you don't get hurt', or to just don't do stuff that'll get you hurt, making sure you're alright, getting defensive over you when the others start arguments, etc.
It does NOT matter what role you play or how good/bad you are in battle, Kai's gonna treat you like his bio lil sib
Well, i suppose that would depend on how long he'd known you, but, stillll
That would actually prob be the main reason he argues with you.
Despite wanting you to be safe, along with Nya, Kai still has that fiery personality of his, to match with his element.
But for general, Kai can be a fun guy to be around!
Kai would like it if you got along with Nya too.
Not only would he get an additional lil sib, said sib gets along with his bio sib! Win-Win!
Lloyd
Ok so
This one is the youngest if we ignore the part where you're seen as the youngest sib/are the youngest.
Since he never actually 'grew up', and had to deal with some sorta potion that deals with ages(it's froma certain episode I don't exactly remember) I feel Lloyd would be more... Eh, awkward.
Assuming you were with the ninja from the beginning, Lloyd joined in later on, and it'd probably feel weird to him seeing he can now refer to you as 'lil sib'.
Maybe you'd be the one that got him back into mischief making.
Not too far to the point where y'all end up summoning even more legendary tribes, but harmless pranks and such.
Or you'd be able to help him adjust to life as a grownup! Who knows?
Lloyd, I feel would be one who tries to deal with things more... Idk, his way.
When protecting you, the amount of power that goes into his attacks depends on the level of danger, but the main priority is to keep everyone safe, which includes you.
Seeing as the ninja often made him stay behind on missions when he was still a kid, I think Lloyd would sympathize more with you on the whole having to stay behind bc "mission to dangerous for lil sib" thing.
Nya
This gonna be a lil shorter-
Will sympathize with you as well in the whole having to stay behind missions thing.
(Og Ninjago fans will remember what she did in s1 during that whole samurai thing)
During that time period, she'll maybe help you w your own contraption so that you can do missions as well.
Oho but during the part she found out she got her mom's powers?
She bout to go ham on those tryna hurt her lil sib ':)
And that's all I got. I hope this is likeable, and I apologize for this being rather very long anon!

Hi. For those of you love comic books in the Philippines especially sa Mars Ravelo Komiks. I am a massive fan of the superheroine, Darna.. back when I was young, I can’t help but tuning in to the episodes. And in 2022 napanood ko ang bagong Darna. She’s a multidimensional woman made all girls look up to. This version is different from the shows about superheroes.
She’s the daughter of the extraterrestrial warrior from Marte; her mother is the original protector of the stone who landed on earth. Sa pagdating ng panahon sya kapalit at imaging si Darna. Her mother was a champion and her daughter looked up to her. Sa bigay Ng bato sya si Darna. Lagi ko napanood ito every night and i love how it brings to all the frontliners who are the real-life heroes.
Darna’s alter ego Narda has all in one as a woman: a daughter, sister, friend, and granddaughter. This version.. is the emergency medical technician who saves people even without her powers but she can fight like Darna. She is Darna inside.
Ganda ng story and it shapes how every woman faces challenges and putting their lives on the line to protect their loved ones. Not only Darna is beautiful, she is compassionate, brave, and confident.
“Ang pinakamalaking kasalanan ay kapag may kakayahan kang tumulong, pero wala kang ginawa.” the quote that resonates every woman who faced the obstacles.
The reason why we love Darna is that her story, shows and tackles the struggles that related our daily lives, pushing women and young girls to do the best they can; you could be the best version of yourself, that they are capable to save and take care of other people even being feminine, that women are strong in their own stance without being toxic feminists and invalidating men in their lives.
She represents women and the differently able people and well appreciate her.
She is the guiding light that sheds darkness, a beacon of hope and the altruist when it comes to justice.
I will design for it, but i’m not a fan of comics.. I just watched the show. I tuned in to the finale last year when Darna finally got the mythical stone and received the support from the Queen of Marte. Women supporting women.
One day, I will make a fan-fiction about Darna, but I fear that there might be judgement, misinterpretation and issues. I understand that copyright is not for those who did not have the creativity. I truly apologize. I’m a fan of Darna when I was a kid in 2005 and a teen in 2009. I will create a new character.. pwede imaging best friend in Darna/Narda na handa subukan ang tapang at patunayan na hindi susuko.
Tumblr media
Again, I fear that there might be judgement, misinterpretation and issues.. about people’s creativity.
I’ll make one at sana maalala ninyo lahat ang Darna. Sabi ito sa mural wall…
“Ikaw, Ako, Tayo Lahat si Darna”.

HE IS SO SAD ABOUT THAT
As someone who grew up dirt fucking poor Jay means SO much to me. Sure, like- they're Ninja and they're famous and whatever- that doesn't mean a lot to Jay, because at that point he feels like he's still constantly trying to show himself up to prove he's cool and strong and brave and awesome. It doesn't even occur to him that Nya and Kai didn't have a super glamorous childhood either because they're both SO FUCKING CONFIDENT IN THEMSELVES (at least outwardly) that they seem completely untouchable, and it's a really great lesson about perceiving other people and being wary of trying to know how other people perceive you, because on the other side of the coin- Nya liked Jay. She thought he was endearing, but he was also trying too hard to get her to like him in the middle of a time where she was actively trying to figure out her new role in the team and trying to establish that she's her own independent person and not just someone's sister or girlfriend or whatever and THEY MEAN SO MUCH TO ME OKAY???
One of the thingsI wish the Ninjago fandom talk more about is the fact that Jay has a complex on being poor, during the first episodes we se him not wanting his friends to know that he was born in a scrapyard and in later seasons he felt that nya didn’t want him cause he was poor as well as nadakhan manipulating him by calling him junkyard boy.
We need to adress this issue often

wrote s15 finale angst
spoilers, its sibling angst ;')
"Where are you going Nya." The familiar voice asked, no. Demanded from Nya. The ninja succeeded in sneaking away from the others, but she could never escape her brother's eye.
She refused to look back, she couldn't risk anyone from stopping her. "I'm going to finish this, go back to the others Kai."
The familiar thuds of her brother's steps approached gently. "You didn't ask Bentho about Nyad for the compelling story, didn't you?" The question hung, no disappointment or anger, just the overprotective fear she's grown up with.
"We can't defeat Kalmar like this," she turned to her brother, "I have to do this, and you're not convincing me otherwise." Sticking her ground she expected to meet her brother's usual stubbornness. But instead was greeted with a face she has never seen so tired nor vulnerable.
"I know. That doesn't mean I'm not going to try." He gave a worried smile as he put a reassuring hand on her shoulder. A usual reassurance feeling so finite in this context. "You don't have to do this. We can just leave, make a break for it. Escape to Shintaro, live in the clouds away from here."
Nya startled from the blunt offer, "Runaway? When Ninjago needs us most?" Ninja never quit, that's the mantra her brother practically drilled into her skull ever since she took up this lifestyle, and even before that he never stopped. Never ran, he was too proud, too stubborn for that. But looking into Kai's face, she could see the exhaustion he's carried, the grief, the fear. Nya had never seen him so vulnerable, he looked like he was going to shatter. Willing to throw out his morals, his pride, his legacy.
For her.
But she couldn't turn back, turning back now meant defeat. It meant that quiet wheezing in the other room would cease forever. It meant that evil would take everything she held dear to her. And she couldn't live with herself if she let that happen.
"No. I couldn't live myself if we left. I care for it all too much," she watched as her brother fractured a little more, nodding at her words.
"I know. . ." his voice shook, the understanding in his eyes told her all. He'd do the same if he was in her position, it didn't make it any easier. "What did Bentho mean? When he said Nyad became one with the ocean?"
Nya faltered, "Well, exactly that. She joined with it, followed its voice."
"Voice?"
Nya hummed lost in the memory, "Ever since I summoned those whales, I've been hearing it. The ocean. It calls to me. Asking me to join it again." Her voice faltered, the alluring voice, it promised everything. Peace, excitement, life, death, she knew once she joined it, it wouldn't let her go, she may not want to leave. "I won't be coming back." They both knew this, but voicing it gave it so much more power, made it real.
"I-I don't think I'll be me anymore." She whispered, looking down as she revealed her greatest fear. Not death, or immortality, but being an empty shell, losing who she is to the endless vast that called to her.
A gentle touch cupped her face and brought it level to Kai's, smiling so bittersweet. "Now listen here, I don't care if you become the ocean, a dragon. Hell even just a glass of water, you will always be Nya, my little sister, the elemental master of water, yang of Jay, and-and the bravest soul I have had the fortune of calling family." Nya watched as tears leaked from her brother's eyes, voice cracking as he lost what little composure he had. Bringing her into a tight hug, the two clung to one another.
Holding onto each other, realizing it may be the last time, that it would be the last time they could. They could already feel the ache of separation that spaded before them. "Will. . .Will you remember me? Remember us?" The small voice shook, and Nya could only smile as she separated from her brother.
"Always. If I will always be Nya, then I will always remember. You are a part of me as anything else I've experienced, that I am." Confidence flowed through her, she spoke the truth and they both knew it.
Just as they knew that they were out of time.
Taking the first steps away, Nya made her decision. Giving her brother one last smile she headed to the stairway, impatient to finally end this.
"Nya!" She turned, halfway up her fated path towards the ocean. Watching as her brother put on a brave face, pulling his composure together once again.
"I love you, never forget that."
Grinning in the final moment she shared with her brother. The one who raised her, who was always there to support her, who would move heaven and earth for her, who always trusted her. "I won't." And she disappeared up the stairwell in pursuit of her future.

i see oceans in your eyes
So season 15 kinda broke me and I wrote this.
AO3 link WC: 1k
There were so many people here.
All of them were here for her.
For Nya.
Kai couldn’t really focus on anything past his own feet. The tingling numbing sensation that had been crawling it’s way through his limbs had long-past settled in his bones. It allowed cold - dreadful awful cold - to seep into his skin.
His eyes itched. They were dry. Too dry. He couldn’t bring himself to cry, a single tear would lead into a torrent of sorrow and he didn’t want to have to cry for his little sister.
Not when she wasn’t gone.
Gone, gone, one with the sea-
Not his baby sister.
Risking a glance at the crowd gathered through the courtyard hurt, it hurt because they were all mourning her too. When they shouldn’t have to, shouldn’t have to mourn for the amazing water ninja Kai was so, so proud to call his little sister-
The strings of people led down the stairs, out past the cherry blossom tree, dragging into the distance.
Some brought small gifts, other words and looks of sorrow and assurance for the ninja. He hadn’t really taken too much notice.
Kai didn’t understand how a crowd this large was so silent, solemn in a way that was unnatural. Even the youngest children didn’t dare look up from their toes. Like a terrible thing was in the air, maybe there was.
The bowl in hands shuddered, tremors coursed freely through his fingers, something in him rattled.
The water trickled it’s way to the bottom of the vase, echoing along the way.
Kai was.
He was.
What was he?
He knew he was still stuck in a state of shock, he knew deep-down he was terrified, scared, longing for Nya to just please come back.
There were so many things they hadn’t done together, so many adventures to still go on. Kai wasn’t ready for her to leave, the harsh reality of everything was weighing down his shoulders.
Something fierce flashed in him.
He was angry.
FSM, angry wasn’t enough, wasn’t the right word, the feeling inside him couldn’t be amounted to anything less than furious and enraged.
Countless times one of them had been thought dead, Zane and the overlord, Cole in the fall, Lloyd against the Oni.
Infinite situations where they’d all cried because one of them had been wounded, waiting outside the med room, waiting, waiting, for it to end. For it all to have been a fluke, a mistake, they all came out fine. They always came out fine.
That didn’t mean the grief wasn’t there, the nightmares afterward.
And they weren’t out of this one yet. That was the problem, it was a problem because Nya wasn’t here.
Not next to him, flicking his head with a grin for something stupid he’d said. Not rolling her eyes from across a room, not grinning as she managed to fix her invention.
There was a little voice in the back of his mind, telling him to look for her. Look because she’s there, I promise, she’s there over there and over there and you need to tell her something so say it, you idiot.
A breath caught in his breath and he choked.
His finger’s burned with heat, the cool static in him receding, making way for a fiery inferno. A storm to never go against, to sweep him away and off his feet.
Distract him, to take his thoughts off of her dimpled smile when she laughed.
Take the sounds of Jay’s cries, Lloyd’s sobs, Cole’s labored breaths, Zane and PIXAL’s sniffling away.
Take everything away. Take it all away.
On impulse, he turned on his heel and stormed out of there, the ceremony - not funeral, never a funeral - was over anyway.
His family stood a little ways off to the side, waiting for the remaining dregs of people to filter back down the steps.
Their eyes bore holes into his core, he didn’t turn around.
Lloyd followed him first, not even half an hour later.
His fingertips kept lighting on fire and he didn’t have to have patience right now to put them out, same for the smoke coming off of his skin.
It was raining outside by the time Lloyd sat next to him, a heavy downpour, it made him feel sick.
They’d all clung to each other on the roof, a desperate attempt to forget. Afterwards they’d all been too distressed to do anything else. It hadn’t been forgotten, it hadn’t been a nightmare, it was real.
Lloyd kneeled next to Kai and wrapped his arms around his neck, squishing his face against his shoulder. Kai pulled the younger boy tighter to his chest, a feeling of helplessness rising in him.
Their sobs were an added noise to the cacophony of crashing raindrops through the monastery.
Nya, Nya, Nya-
He’d promised to protect her, hadn’t he?
She was his to protect. He was her older brother, the one who was supposed to be there for her but couldn’t do anything but watch through blurry eyes as she walked through Jay.
Kai gripped Lloyd’s shoulders and cried.
There were rivers of tears and his nose was all snotty and his heart ached, he was fairly certain Lloyd wasn’t too different.
The others filtered in one-by-one, Skylor was there too. They were all obscured by the salty water filling his eyes and the agony that ripped through his head, a reminder of the day.
And there they all were there again, wrecked and barely held together as they cried into another’s gi. This had happened before, but it had been alright in the end.
Why couldn’t it be alright right now?
Why wasn’t Nya here?
No one spoke, letting raindrops and tears fill the deafening silence. The empty Nya-shaped hole in the room was fresh and searing, like an open wound that you couldn’t forget.
Strong and brave and smart and incredible was his little sister. But now she was no more than the great big ocean.

Hello! How're you doing? I know you said you're busy, so when you have the time, could you write "Three Broken Hearts" again but in Kai's POV? Thank you!!
I cried making this one too, I mean I like tragedy but this stuff still brings me to tears. I know it's not 100% like the original and is actually shorter than the other, but I didn't want to rewrite the entire thing from just Kai's POV since not much would change, so I actually used this as a bad ending follow up and used the 'Kai's POV' part as memory. I hope that's okay!
She/her reader!
Three Still Hearts
Where one by one, they all fall down.
“Mom, dad, there’s someone I want you to meet.” Kai smiled excitedly at them, before stepping to the side to reveal your gravestone. “This is my girlfriend!”
His parents turned pale at the realization of how extensive Kai’s obsession with you was. “Oh, Kai, I’m so sorry for your loss, I’m sure she was an amazing person.” His mother tried to comfort him.
“No, it’s fine! I can still talk to her, and I can give her gifts, like this flower is her favorite! Although it’s wilted, I should get her more.” He then looks to the left, “and right next to her is her brother, Cole!” The earth ninja had remained a ghost instead of trying to get back to being human, as the comforts of seeing you and his mother again far outweighed his own life in his eyes. Kai wasn’t far behind, as he had grown thin and weak in your absence.
The team was ready to split up; after losing you and Cole, and with Kai ready to leave to spend ‘more time with you’, the future of Ninjago was looking bleak. The ninja were already holding up together by a thread when Nadakhan attacked, but once the Time Twins came around, they were forced to scatter and regroup at another time. The world could only hope that they would come back together and keep fighting, but it didn't look likely.
As opposites, while Cole stayed in his room and starved when you died, Kai tried to get over it instead. He drowned himself in other girls, giving numbers to those who looked like you in real life, and talking to online strangers who acted and sounded like you. None of them came close to the woman he loved. He stopped after a while, and became a shut in, just like the man he wanted to call his brother in law.
He still remembered the day he met you; you were just getting over an illness, and you looked so small and weak compared to your older brother. Despite being so fragile and sick, you tried to comfort him about his missing sister, and even if he was snappy at the time, he appreciated you being there for him.
You got better though, and he was quick to learn that you were actually incredibly powerful and brave. You and Nya teamed up to create Samurai X, with Nya taking the lead and you being her stunt double in case she was out with the boys, or if two problems were happening at once. It was actually quite smart of the two of you, and he believes that was when he first started to crush on you. "Oh, I didn't do it because it would annoy you, I did it because I would be able to help others." He remembers your view on the situation, and realized how truly caring you could be.
It wasn't until Lloyd came by that you were promoted to full time ninja in training, and while you first tried to get Nya to join too, because you thought she would feel left out, she insisted she was a better samurai than a ninja.
You didn't discover your light powers until they came to the Dark Island, you were kidnapped, along with Nya, but you were immune to The Overlord's corruption energy. You used your new ability to protect Nya from harm, but upon doing so, you were severely beat by the enemy. You made it out okay, though, and you decided to use your power to protect yourself and others from harm.
From then on, you'd come into plenty of close calls with death, so surely you'd always be okay? He believed in you, but on that fateful day, he still thinks you could've been here if he just believed in you a little more.
"(Y/N)!!" But there was nothing that he could do to change an outcome like this. Just a few months ago it was Zane, so why couldn't it be him again? He was rebuildable; you weren't.
Cole's scream made him turn around, and just the mental image of your shredded gi and bloody body was enough to keep him awake for several weeks, and make him cry whenever he thought about it from then on. It was everywhere, and there was way too much of it than there should've been. He was by your side almost as fast as Cole was, grabbing one of your hands and telling you to squeeze hard.
"I promise it won't hurt." He still remembers telling you those exact words, and he honestly wished it did hurt when you squeezed, he wouldn't have even cared if you broke his hand, as it would've meant you had enough strength in you to keep going. Instead, you could barely wrap your fingers around, and it was at that moment that he knew it was over. Every second he spent with you, every dessert he shared, every kiss and hug he gave; it was all gone, just like that.
"Keep coughing, (Y/N), maybe we can get the blood out." It was his weak attempt at comforting both you and himself at the same time, and he wished he could've kissed your lips while you were still breathing, but he believed that maybe if he kept your airways unblocked by his mouth, you could make it. He kissed your knuckles, knowing how wrong he was. He would feel guilty over this little action forever.
Performing mouth to mouth CPR was unnerving; putting his lips on your dead ones, ones that couldn't kiss him back anymore, and he hated every second of it; both for the realization that you were finally and truly gone, and that he missed his last chance.
No, you never approved of killing, but he would've killed every single one of those fake Anacondrai if it meant you would be here to touch him, and speak to him again. He needed you.
The sounds of your choking, the smell and taste of your blood, watching the the light literally die from your eyes, it haunted him forever. He wasn't ready to mourn for you yet, though, and kept many of your clothes in his room, some of which he would wear around the house. No one wanted to tell him how creepy it was. He constantly switched between the depression and denial stages of grief; either crying in his bed and sniffing the faint scent of you from your shirts, or visiting your grave and talking to it like you were there listening to him. He just couldn't let you go; you were perfect for him.
Exactly a year after your death, a new gravestone was put to the right of yours.

Febuwhump 19: Sleep Deprivation
Baby Kai was definitely not doing well, okay.
Summary: taking care of a blacksmith shop doesn't allow much time for sleep.
Trigger Warnings: none
320 words
“Kai?” Nya asked, standing in the dark doorway and rubbing the sleep from her eyes.
Kai jumped, spinning around in his seat. “Hey, Nya,” he said. “You shouldn’t be awake.”
“I couldn’t sleep,” she argued.
Kai would give anything to sleep right now. But he had work to do, and Nya didn’t need to hear about all of that. “Can you try?” he asked. He didn’t have the energy to deal with an energetic sister at this time of night. “Please?”
Nya crossed her arms. “You’re awake! Why can’t I be?”
“I’m… taking care of some stuff,” he said, trying not to sound as frustrated as he was. “If I tell you a story, will you go back to sleep?”
Nya’s eyes lit up. “Yay!” she cried as she ran back to bed.
Kai smiled as he followed her, tucking her in as he began. “Once upon a time, there was a princess. She was smart, and brave, and strong. She dreamed of being a knight.”
As usual, Kai wasn’t able to finish the story before Nya fell asleep. Thank goodness.
“Sleep tight,” he whispered, kissing her forehead and shutting the door quietly behind him as he went back to his seat in the main shop.
He had work to do.
The words blurred on the page under his eyes, hardly making sense to his brain. He had to get this done, even with his head spinning like this.
If he didn’t finish tonight, they were screwed. He didn’t have any more time.
Inexplicably, his mind wandered back to a time when he had been allowed to just be a kid, before their parents had… vanished. Tears sprung to his eyes.
He missed them so much.
He didn’t have the time to feel sorry for himself, though. It was only making his head hurt worse. He could cry about it later, he just… he had to get this done. Yeah.

Skybound rewrite
Personally, i would never read a full Skybound rewrite fic so heres an overview
Alternate version of Skybound with no ships and Jay gets character development. There is a lot more or him dealing with him being adopted and constant struggle with his insecurities and dealing with this alone
The ninja were teasing Jay about something he did and Kai and him get in a fight
he ran off making them late to stop Clouse. Nya goes to comfort Jay (because she’s not a bitch here and they’re friends) as the others yell at Kai
Jay thinks of Nya as “the better blue ninja” (better mechanic and inventor, better fighter, better person) and is insecure and yells at her a bit because of it
he remains closed off despite their attempts to make him feel better and Kai feels bad
Kai is still taken by Nadakhan but also mentions the stress he is under (why he snapped at Jay) at being the one to take care of the group. He feel the stress after losing Lloyd to Morro and feels like he needs to take Garmadon’s place and be a role model for the others
Due to Jay’s insecurities he still wishes to have money because of being made fun of and finds out he’s adopted
Jay feels like his world is falling apart and is really low
Zane still tries to outsmart Nadakhan and fails, there’s probably some mention of his past trauma in there somewhere like his father and even a hint at echo
Instead of needing to be married, Nadakhan only needs to be coronated  on djinn land and is using their souls to power the sword
all the normal plot points still happen except they are a far more sympathetic towards him and are not asshole to him on the tigerwidow island
until it gets to where jays on Nadakhans ship
Nadakhan uses a lot of physical and emotional abuse making Jay believe he his friends hate him and that he truly is useless to the team
all the other ninja had assumed he’d made his final wish (he’s more stubborn then that) and are super worried when they find him in the infiltration
Lloyd gets separated by Nadakhan and gets him to wish his father back, but it’s emperor Garmadon that comes back though and he wishes it all away
Cole, Nya, and Jay all escape and go to the lighthouse (yay echo!)
they are worried for his health and Jay breaks down admits to how he’s been feeling
Nya goes into detail about all his skills and reassures him. Cole tells him his value isn’t even based on his abilities but how much they love him as a person and how brave and strong and how DETERMINED he is
Jay feels much better...to bad Nadakhan attacks
Cole sacrifices himself so they can escape. Jay downright tries to refuse (no way he’s going to let anyone else go through what he did) but Cole says he’s a ghost and can’t get hurt and fully believes Jay will find a way to stop him
he makes Nya promise to take care of Jay and she does
Cole gives up once they are safe and allows himself to be taken to Nadakhan
it’s revealed that the ghosts and djinn have been in an unbeatable war (they are sister realms after all) because neither side can be killed as the last ghost and djinn he will finally win when he defeats Cole [this is a random headcanon and can be ignored lol i just think it makes it more dramatic)
he tries to convince Cole to wish himself human again and Cole wishes it all away
Jay’s confidence is restored and he forms his little militia convinced on rescuing everyone
Nya gets captured protecting him while Jay goes to steal the sword? Maybe something about her problems
the last piece of djinnjago is added and he is coronated. The final battle happens similarly
at the end jay is fighting to close to Nadakhan and gets hit with the poison
the ninja are all gathered around him and his final wish is “I wish I had never run off and no one would of found that stupid teapot in the first place”
time is rewound and only the ninja remember
consequently he suffers with trauma while also coming out more empowered and confident in himself
so yeah everyone suffers and no one can tell me this isn’t what happened because time was still rewound and ninjago is never going to bring it up again
suggestions welcome :)

Ninjago Angst Week: Day Seven - Future
@ninjago-angst-week Again, really late, but it’s finally here! Last day of Angst Week.
It’s short, but it’s sweet. I really enjoyed writing this one especially.
Trigger Warnings: Mention of death, grief, abandonment issues, mention of suicide
---
The monastery was quiet. Painfully quiet. There were no laughter, no roughhousing, no playful conversations. It was as if no one else besides him had ever lived in it, even as he hung up pictures of his family. Pictures of long ago. Pictures of when they were still happy and alive. But every time he looked at those pictures, a stab of pain shot through his heart, because he knew that no matter what, they would never come back. What used to be moments of joy were now memories of the past, memories of what could have been.
Lloyd traced a finger over one of the picture frames, a sad smile playing at his lips, taking in all the details, all the faces of his brothers and sister.
Jay.
The bright blue eyes of his talkative, energetic brother grinned at him through the photo, as if he were still here, telling him that everything would be alright. Look on the bright side, he’d always said.
Except Lloyd couldn’t. How could he be positive when all his family were dead? When everything he ever loved and knew were gone? He knew that he shouldn’t dwell on their deaths, that he’d join them sometime later anyway, that he’d just have to wait, but he couldn’t wait because then he’d have to wait thousands of years just to die, and he knew that his family would kill him if he went to the Departed Realm much too early, so how— how could he—
Lloyd choked back a sob as tears sprang to his eyes. His eyes, normally bright green and filled with life, were now dull and dead with grief.
Cole.
His strong and sweet brother had an arm slung over Zane in the picture, grinning like nothing was ever wrong. He’d be telling him to continue with life, telling him that he was stronger than he thought, that he shouldn’t let their deaths prevent him from moving on.
And he tried. Lloyd tried to move on, tried to put a smile on his face. He even tried to find someone to settle down with, but the pain of betrayal, the pain of another death in his life was too much, so he gave up. Because he didn’t want to grow close with someone knowing that he’d outlive them. Like he’d outlived the others.
Kai.
Kai, his reckless, insane, protective brother. The one who always told him not to die. The one who told him that he would always be here with him. But he wasn’t, and Lloyd was alone. Because not even his invincible brother was invincible to death, especially since he was completely human after all.
More than often, Lloyd wished that Kai hadn’t protected him so vigilantly, so that he might die sooner, so that he wouldn’t have to be the last one alive on the team.
But he was. And nothing could change that.
Nya.
The only girl on the team, yet so headstrong and brave. She’d been the first to understand him, the first to accept him for who he was, and just like— just like Kai, she was the older sibling he’d never had. And now she was dead. Dead, gone. Not even her stubbornness prevented her from dying of old age.
Lloyd gave a short, bitter laugh as he imagined how she’d react if she saw him sulking over her death, staring at the pictures for almost the entire day, every day. She’d be furious, but still, he couldn’t bring himself to pull away.
Zane.
He was one of the last to leave, but even nindroids didn’t last forever. It wasn’t the first time the ice ninja had died, but it was the first time that he’d wanted to stay dead. His source of energy finally gave out, decades—almost centuries—of living taking a toll on his old titanium body. Lloyd remembered his last words as the nindroid unplugged himself, his icy blue eyes—warm yet cold all at once—staring into his.
“Do not fear, brother,” Zane had said softly, pressing a hand to Lloyd’s chest, right where his heart was. “You will never be alone. We will always be right here with you.”
Lloyd lowered his gaze toward the hand on his heart, and he swallowed, covering the hand with his own. “I— I don’t know if I can—”
“You can,” the nindroid said quietly, but firmly, his other hand already undoing all the wires in him.
Shaking his head furiously, Lloyd tried to stop his brother from unplugging himself, but to no avail. As he reached the last important wire, Zane took a deep—though unnecessary—breath, and right before he turned himself permanently off, he whispered, “We’ll be waiting.”
Lloyd jerked himself out of his trance, his breath heaving in gasps. His grip on the picture loosened, and it fell out of his hands, landing on the floor with a horrible, splintering crack! He grabbed at his chest as tears cascaded down his cheeks, ugly sobs emitting from his lips.
With a wavering hand, Lloyd slowly picked up the now broken picture frame, and he could see his soft reflection on it—still young as ever, while his siblings had already been dead and weathered with age.
He squeezed his eyes shut. It wasn’t fair. Life wasn’t fair. How was it fair that he was allowed to live when everything he knew was dead? Why was he still alive, dammit, why couldn’t he just die already—
Briefly he wondered if he could just jump off the mountain that the monastery was on, and he choked back another sob as he imagined how his siblings would respond to that. Even now, he could still feel them with him, scolding him for even thinking about that, and yet, it still felt like he was alone.
Everyone seemed to end up leaving me alone at some point, Lloyd thought bitterly, clutching the picture frame closer to his heart. It was always the same: everyone would grow close to him, promise that they’d never leave him, and Lloyd—stupid, stupid Lloyd—would believe every single word of it, grasping onto every strand of hope, only for that hope to shatter into a million pieces as they all abandoned him yet again.
But this time, they didn’t even want to leave him. This time, they were waiting for him. Waiting for him to join them.
Lloyd opened his mouth, and screamed. A scream filled of sorrow and regret, a scream that mourned and grieved the lost lives of his family. He collapsed to the floor, still clutching the picture like a lifeline, his body shaking as the tears openly fell. He didn’t even notice as the broken pieces of glass nicked his skin, didn’t notice the small pinpricks of blood seeping from the cuts, didn’t feel the slight pain as he let his head thump on the floor. All that he knew was the grief as it drowned him, filling his very core as he sobbed shamelessly.
“I’m sorry,” Lloyd gasped. He didn’t know who or what he was apologizing for, but he didn’t care. He just wanted to be with his family. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry!”
Finally, after what seemed like ages, the tears ceased to fall, the sobs stopping with a stuttering halt, and Lloyd was left gasping for breath, curling inward. He forced himself to look at the picture once more, forced himself to trace a hand over the faces of his family, and he promptly burst into tears again.
For the first time in his life, Lloyd hated his dragon heritage. He’d always thought it was the better side of him, always thought that was what made him able to fight against the Oni blood, but now . . . now he hated it for keeping him alive.
If only he wasn’t alone. If only he wasn’t alive. If only he was human.

A gift for @fangirl-616 :) for her CIA ninjago AU (which you should check out it's VERY good)
I'm trying again to post this in one piece haha sorry
Hope you enjoy !
Nya. He was doing this for Nya.
The teenager muttered the words a few times, in hope it'll make him feel better about what he was getting into.
The bar's entrance was only visible thanks to the bleak and discolored light of a flickering neon sign nearby. Typically, this was the place where stupid horror movie protagonists get lured and torn apart. And Kai was going in there willingly.
Well, almost willingly. He didn't really have a choice, did he ? Nobody wanted to hire a teen with little to no experience in anything. This was the only thing he found. And between starving and this, he'd much rather not die a slow and painful death, thank you very much.
Kai took a deep breath and put on a brave face. The moment of truth.
He knocked on the door three times, paused, then two times again.
A muffled voice got his attention. "Who's askin' ?"
"I-" Kai started, cursing himself for the audible fear in his tone. "I heard you're hiring."
He heard a rattle of metal against metal around the peephole before the entrance slightly opened. "Anyone knows where you are ?" asked a man's raspy voice.
Be it a blessing of a curse, he had the intelligence of not telling Nya where he was headed tonight. She was still growing, she needed a night of sleep uninterrupted by concerns for his safety. "No."
"Good. Come in and sit at a table."
Stepping foot inside the bar, eerily silent apart from a few people chatting softly, made Kai's skin crawl. It was becoming more and more like a horror movie location, and Kai was the stupid protagonist.
Against his better judgment, the teen selected a table, isolated enough from the other customers to ensure he wouldn't piss off someone important by accident. And he waited.
The guy from earlier swung by him some time later, a bottle in his hand. "How old are ya, kid ?"
Kai squirmed, uncomfortable. "I'm sixteen, sir," he answered, making the man laugh.
"Hah ! 'Sir' ! And polite with that !" After a few seconds of thinking, he added "Yeah, you can have a beer."
The guy put the bottle in front of Kai and left, still snickering at his new "title".
Kai felt his cheeks get hotter. But being embarrassed beats being dead for being disrespectful, right ?
He hesitantly brought the glass bottle to his lips and took a sip.
"Ugh, that's what alcohol tastes like ?" He whispered to himself, sticking his tongue out in disgust. Maybe he'd get used to it later.
Suddenly, a tall man entered the room and everything went silent. Everyone's gaze was locked on the newcomer, who was instead looking at... Kai ?
He sat down in front of him and despite every fiber of his being yelling the man was bad news, Kai remained still.
He couldn't see his face very well, save a few strands of dark brown hair falling from under his black hat and onto his face and barely visible eyes behind sunglasses. Maybe it was just tainted glass, though.
"Hello, Kai." The boy almost jumped at the mention of his name.
"H-How do you-"
"I've been watching you for quite a while. Ever since you first spoke to one of my workers, the one who suggested you come here tonight." A dangerous smile crept up on his face. You could've almost mistaken the man for a snake.
"My name is Pythor. Please to meet you, Kai." Pythor held out his hand and Kai sheepishly shook it. "I hope I won't need to meet Nya, too." He tightened his grip, sending chills through the young boy's spine.
"Please sir, she's not part of this..."
"Oh, don't you worry. She's safe. As long as you don't cause us trouble, that is." Pythor lowered his glasses and winked at Kai. The man's eyes were brown, but for a second he could've sworn his eyes were red.
"Now. You said you were interested in our line of work, yes ? Why is that ?"
"U-Um. I have to work to earn money to feed me a-and my sister, but no one wants to hire a sixteen-years-old, y'know ? So, as a last resort, I turned to... This."
"A last resort, huh ?" Pythor's expression was indecipherable.
His eyes wide, Kai sputtered. "No, I didn't mean to say it like that ! I just- I was-"
A snicker made him stop. "It's alright. A lot of my men ended up under my command as a last resort too." His voice didn't sound upset.
But he could feel the tall man's gaze burning on his face.
"I can tell you are going to be a good addition to our ranks, Kai Smith," he said, insisting on Kai's last name. A warning Pythor knew more than enough about him to... Restrain him, if needed. "Althought, I do have one last question. Do you know how to fight ?"
Kai was getting less and less confident the more time passed, but he was already in too deep now. There was no coming back. "I... I think so."
A satisfied smirk grew of the man's face.
"Excellent."
Kai shivered. 'A deal with a demon,' he thought to himself.
He really was the stupid horror movie protagonist.

Note- Angst, also here's the prequel of this story
“WHERE IS SHE!?!”
Daemon strained against his vengestone restraints, a harsh glare fixed on the ninja as he roared at them. There had been an attack on the village he and Safa were living in. It was a small, rural area, didn’t draw much attention, good for laying low. Of course, Safa thought it was because Daemon liked the “fresh country air”. With that small lie, they had actually managed to build a good life there. Without his reputation, Daemon had a decent, legal job. He could send Safa to school with the money he made, and his little sister had friends. They were happy, they were safe But then some mob had gotten gutsy, deciding they needed more territory.   Daemon hadn’t wasted anytime running home from his job, not bothering to explain to what was happening to Safa has he scooped her up and started running for the outskirts. All he had said was that she needed to stay quiet, and keep her head down. He could tell she was scared. He just wanted to get out of the village, so they could be safe again. Then he had spotted a couple, backed to a wall by a group of cackling gangsters. He tried to stay focused, to only care about Safa and himself.   But there was something about the fear in couple’s voices, that forced him to stop. Thinking quickly, Daemon had found a corner to tuck Safa away in, instructing the small girl to stay there and remain quiet, promising her that he would return. The ninja hadn’t seen him tear the goons away from the whimpering couple. They hadn’t seen him fight the goons off, defending the lovers. The only thing they had seen was a terrified couple, running out of the alley while screaming…and a roughed up Bizarro following soon after.   He didn’t want to fight the ninja; he had tried his best to dodge attacks, to convince them to focus on the gang members, the immediate threat. He barely had time to hope his little sister would stay hidden, when Kai landed a flaming hit. Adrenaline and rage flared, as the Bizarro landed his first punch. The ninja could’ve died, he realized, if it weren’t for a familiar, whimpering voice just beyond the fight. The sight of a wide eyed Safa had frozen Daemon, as he realized she’d seen him slip into his old ways. He could hardly breathe, as he stared at her shocked confused and even terrified expression. The prick in his neck barely registered, as Zane stuck a needle in. His focus was entirely on his young companion. He could barely hear her shouting his name, running to him as he slipped into unconsciousness. He watched through blurred eyes, as Kai scooped up the small girl, holding her back as she struggled and cried out for Daemon. Then everything had gone dark. Now here Daemon was, arms bound tightly behind him, captors glaring at him with suspicion as he struggled and seethed. He didn’t know where Safa was, they wouldn’t tell him where she was. He hated not knowing if she was ok, if she was being looked after. Kai leaned against a wall, arms crossed. He didn’t appear at all phased by the Bizarro’s rage. “Look man, we don’t know how that kid knows you. We don’t know why you gave her a fake name, or why someone like you was anywhere near her. But we do know this- “The fire ninja stepped forward, placing his hands on the table that separated him from the Bizarro, leaning in close, “You’re not going near her, ever again.” For a minute, Daemon didn’t move, didn’t say anything. He just locked eyes with the brunette as his words processed. Alright, at least he knew Safa was safe. He then proceeded to slam his head into Kai’s forehead, sending the red ninja stumbling backwards. Kai   gripped his head with a groan, swearing. Daemon’s scowl deepened through the ache in his own head. “Daemon is my name, ya idiot. Jus’ cause I look like your friend, don’t mean we share a na-“His head snapped to the side, as Nya punched him. Daemon wasn’t the only one in the room who didn’t want their family messed with. It’d been a while since a punch had hurt Daemon, courtesy of the vengestone. “DON’T TOUCH HIM!” Nya squirmed in Jay’s grip, as he held her back from throwing more punches at the bound Bizarro. “Nya…please calm down…” Jay mumbled, holding his girlfriend around her waist. Kai pushed Zane away after letting the nindroid check for a concussion, stepping back towards Daemon, though he seemed to be more cautious of the space between them this time. “If you honestly think we’re letting someone with a record of beating up people for kicks near that little girl, you’re dumber than we think, pal” Daemon almost spat out another retort, when it hit him. He fell slack in his chair, giving up on his struggle, staring at Kai without a trace of anger left. The ninja could only watch in cautious confusion at his sudden mood change.
Why had it taken him so long to understand? They thought they were protecting Safa, just like he tried to. They thought he was going to…hurt her. They thought he was a threat to her safety.  It made sense, like Kai had said; he had a history of beating people for entertainment. His mind drifted back to how scared Safa had been, seeing him rage against the ninja in that village. He thought back to when they first met, how scared she’d been of the large Bizarro.  He thought about how scared she would be if she had seen him head but Kai. He thought about the lies he had told her. Maybe they were right; maybe he was a danger to her. Daemon lowered his head, releasing a shaky sigh as everything set in. When he finally spoke again, he found that his strong voice had turned shaky.   “I...I would never...hurt Safa.” He looked at them, confusion doubling in their expressions, “I...I just want her safe…please…please jus’ let me see her…” He swallowed; confused at the statement that next left his mouth. “Then you can take me t’ Kryptarium. You’re right…I cause too much pain; I’ve caused too much pain. I-I’ll go willingly…Jus’ let me see her…let me say good bye…” He could feel an unusual fear bubbling up in his chest, as the ninja looked at each other, and left. They had no reason to agree to his demand, and every reason to drag him off to Kryptarium without giving a second glance. He was never going to see Safa again; his last memory of her would be her eyes staring in fear and her voice screaming his name. His little sister was going to be dragged off to some orphanage, pushed into some over filled home that couldn’t care less, without knowing what happened to her big brother. She’d think he’d abandoned her, left to save himself. But he would never do that. He would rather die than let her be alone, to feel abandoned again. He wished his hands weren’t bound, so he could wipe away the building tears. His throat felt tight. Why was this so terrifying, so heart breaking? It had nearly been an hour, when he heard the door open. He didn’t look up, assuming it was a ninja here to drag him off. He didn’t speak when the footsteps stopped beside him. His heart swelled with hope when he felt a small hand gently shake his shoulder. A sad smile appeared when he heard a soft, scared voice call his name. “D-Daemon?” He looked over at Safa, wishing he could hug her, and tell her it would be ok. The best he could do was lean over, letting the small girl wrap her arms around his neck. “H-hey kid…they treating you ok?” He couldn’t help the cracks in his voice. “Y-yeah” he could hear the sniffling, god he hated the circumstances. “The Earth Ninja was watching over me…he’s a lot like you Daemon” Daemon gave a light chuckle at this, “Not that surprised, we definitely got more than one thing in common” “Why...” Safa pulled away from Daemon, reaching out to his cuffs, “W-why did they do this? Y-you’re not a bad person…y-you haven’t done anything wrong!” He sighed, leaning back to look Safa in the eyes. He hoped she never learned what he really was, what he had done, what he had been designed to do. “Listen...kids...I…” His throat was getting tighter, as he bit back tears. This was hard, painful. “I…have...to go-“ “W-what?! No, why...I don’t want you to go, why do you have to go?!” The pain in her face was breaking his heart. He swallowed again, shaking his head. “I-I can’t explain kid…this...this is jus’ where we gotta split, I…it’s not my choice...but t’s gotta happen. But...th’ ninja will take care of ya, ‘t’s their job….” Safa hugged Daemon once more, tearing pouring as she buried her face into him. “I don’t want the stupid ninja, I want you! Y-you’re family…don’t leave me like my other family did, please!” Hot tears fell onto Safa’s dress, as her words finally broke what remained of Daemon’s dam. His voice got quiet and shaky, as he rested his head on Safa’s. The closest he could get to returning her hug. “The last thing I want to do is leave you kid. This….this is hurting me so much-“ “Then stay!” “I-I can’t kid…I…I can’t…I-I’m sorry” Before Safa could continue protesting, the door opened again, two people walking in. The siblings looked up, seeing Cole and Zane there, with Jay in the hall. Daemon frowned, but gave a nod of understanding, looking down at Safa. What remained of his heart shattered at how betrayed, lost, and broken she looked. Why was life so cruel to innocent people like her? “Listen, Safa...I need you to promise something, ok?” She didn’t respond, looking away. Daemon exhaled, closing his eyes. He couldn’t continue seeing her like this. “Keep smiling, ok? Stay brave…things will be ok, I promise, they will be…” Safa didn’t look back at him until Jay picked her up, starting to walk her out of the room. She fought against the brunette’s hold, reaching out for her brother, crying out. “Daemon! NO, DAEMON!!” Daemon forced himself to give a comforting smile, tears still pouring out. “Bye Kid” He focused his gaze on the remaining two ninja. “Let’s get this over with.”

I’m gonna start writing my fanfic about my Animal Crossing island 🤔
Here’s the summary I have
———
—PREMISE AND PLOT—
Moondrop Island is a tiny uncharted island somewhere in the northern Caribbean Sea, originally inhabited by only furries—two-legged talking animal creatures! Furries are not found anywhere else on Earth, aside from tiny uncharted islands. A long time ago, furries and humans coexisted. But furries eventually were mistreated. An elder furry with magical powers erased all humans’ memory of them, and they all fled to small uncharted islands, hidden by mystic forces. There were no humans who knew of the existence of these furries, or of these seemingly mystical islands, until a small boat sailing from an island in the Bahamas in got into a shipwreck during what was supposed to be a three-hour whale-watching tour. Everyone on the boat survived, and miraculously washed up on the gently moonlit shores of Moondrop Island 2:00 that morning. Tom Nook takes in the castaways, gives them homes on the island, and lets them pay with a spontaneous form of currency he comes up with—Nook Miles. He offers the Nook Miles as a reward for improving the island. In the meantime, he and everyone else are putting together all their knowledge and trying to build a GPS that can track the island’s location in the world to lead the castaways back home. However, since the furries cannot go back to the human world and show themselves to people, that would mean... they’d have to say goodbye forever...
—CHARACTERS—

Pastell likes to create things such as art or decorations, and pretend she’s doing magic in the process. Pastell gets along well with Haku, and Pekoe. Rodeo is her snack buddy. Haku Yowane (Vocaloid) Age- 24 Birthday- November 21 Favorite song- Stale Cupcakes Haku is wistful and emotional, and at times dreary. A bit of a crybaby. Likes music, but is too shy to perform in front of others. She has a plush cat named Snowbell that she carries around everywhere. She gets along quite well with Pastell and Goldie. Haku is a very caring person who likes to help with her friends’ problems. However, she can be hard on herself a lot. She also likes writing stories and poems. Before ending up on Moondrop, Haku’s friends back at home were Miku, Neru, Luka, Kaito, Akaito, and her older brother Dell. Rhona Aequor (Original character) Age- 24 Birthday- March 10 Favorite song- K.K. Bossa Stoic and mysterious. Appears strict, but is misunderstood. Actually a very kind person. A lover of all things related to water and the ocean. A marine biologist. Loves fish and marine creatures. She is very fascinated with Flo and Sly, who are both marine creatures... but as furries. Rhona loves to swim, and is a free-diver. Rhona is calm and collected... usually. She can go nuts about fish and can spend hours at the museum, either looking at fish exhibits, or chattering with Blathers. Back at home, she has a girlfriend, Nagisa. Rhona often thinks and worries about Nagisa, longing to see her again and to let her know she’s safe. Nico Yazawa (Love Live!) Age- 22 Birthday- July 22 Favorite song- K.K. Bubblegum Nico is a dweeb. But she still thinks she’s better than you. Nico is quite self-centered and troublesome. She’s usually the one causing the most drama out of the group. She especially doesn’t get along with Luana... at first, anyway. Nico wants to be the biggest pop-star on the island! (Sorry, Audie.) And soon, the world! But Nico has very bad luck and things keep on getting in her way! Such as tarantulas! Nico actually gets along well with Vladimir, because they’re both too short to be taken seriously. She ends up keeping a talking pet tarantula in her house named Terry. Back at home, Nico’s friends are Maki, Eli, and Nozomi. Rin Hoshizora (Love Live!) Age- 20 Birthday- November 1 Favorite song- Rockin’ K.K. Rin is cheerful, energetic, and the life of the party. She is spontaneous and likes animals a lot. She even has her own catchphrase, much like a furry... it’s “nya!” When Rin discovers furries, and the fact humans mistreated them, she feels angry at humanity. Rin gets along great with Audie. Rin is usually the one throwing all the parties on the island, and organizing the fun sport and game events. She is usually filled with energy. But deep inside, she can be quite emotional. Back at home, Rin’s best friend is Hanayo. Her other friends are Kotori, Umi, and Honoka. Luana Kai (Original character) Age- 23 Birthday- July 7 Favorite song- K.K. Adventure Luana is a fearless, impulsive daredevil. She leaps before she looks, and she’s brave to a fault. She can be obnoxiously brash. She’s also the one who got everyone into this mess... Luana was the captain of the small boat, When the storm came, she refused to turn the boat back. Luana is a huge tomboy and has always dreamed of being a pirate. She likes the ocean as well, and has a intriguing fascination with geography and geology. She doesn’t know a thing about technology, but her knowledge goes to good use with making the GPS. Nico and Luana are rivals. Back at home, her friends she left behind are Umiko, and her older sister Oliana. Teto Kasane (Vocaloid) Age- 21 Birthday- April 1 Favorite song- K.K. Stroll Teto comes off as weird and hyperactive. She likes memes and uses them a lot in conversation. She is often called annoying. However, Teto is an awkward and modest girl who just isn’t that good at making friends. She is often cheerful and likes to help people. She can be clumsy and sometimes doesn’t know what to say and is awkward. Teto has a big appetite and likes to bake and cook, especially sweets. Teto gets along well with Bettina, who understands her well. Back at home, her friends were Gumi, Gakupo, Meiko, Rin, and Len. Octavia Scherzando (Original character) Age- 25 Birthday- October 30 Favorite song- K.K. Fusion Outgoing and charismatic, yet sentimental. The most mature one of the human group. Also the responsible one. The fun “mom friend.” Her hobby is music. She plays the electric bass and piano. She also dances. Rumor has it that she once was a school idol back in high school, but she won’t talk about it. Apparently she also used to sing. But something must have happened, because nobody has really heard her sing either. Can her mysterious past ever be revealed? Octavia gets along well with Shep. She keeps a talking black bass in her house. The fish, not the instrument. Back at home, she leaves behind her close friend Aria, and friends from high school, Hibiki, Ursula, Santana, and Ruya. Animal Residents Furries have the same lifespans as humans, meaning they age the same in years. 18 in human years is 18 in furry years, regardless of the species of the furry. Flo the penguin Age- 23 Birthday- September 2 Flo is a mostly laid-back penguin, though she can have quite a temper when it comes to people being unfair. Her hobby is music, and her style is mostly punk. Pekoe the cub Age- 19 Birthday- May 18 Pekoe is a very kind and sweet bear. She can be a bit timid, and sometimes worries she isn’t that interesting. She is a great listener and sometimes can be quirky. Audie the wolf Age- 26 Birthday- August 31 Audie is a very outgoing and expressive wolf. She can be excitable, and uses a lot of language like “fabulous.” She is unexpectedly very tough and can be a “mama bear,” fiercely protecting her friends in need. Shep the sheepdog Age- 24 Birthday- November 24 Shep is a fashionista, and a bit of a hipster. He’s always on top of what’s cool and unique. He talks in a way that’s almost hard to decipher for people who are unfamiliar to his “brand” of “lingo.” Portia the dalmatian Age- 25 Birthday- October 25 Portia is a glamorous and stylish young lady who loves fashion, and may seem a little self-absorbed at times. She doesn’t judge other people based on looks, however, Sly the alligator Age- 20 Birthday- November 15 Sly is an alligator who loves to play and work out. His favorite sport is football (the kind where you throw the ball and tackle.) He also likes to swim. He is always enthusiastic and raring to go, but is very patient and understanding towards those who can’t keep up with him. Vladimir the cub Age- 28 Birthday- August 2 Vladimir is a grumpy little bubblegum pink bear who is never taken seriously because he is small and cute. He is therefore always angry and annoyed with people. He gets along with Nico because of similar problems. He can be kind when not angered... just don’t call him adorable. Goldie the golden retriever Age- 21 Birthday- December 27 Goldie loves flowers and nature, and loves to be outdoors. She is calm, humble, and polite, but can be angered easily by people who think they’re better than others. She doesn’t really get along well with Shep... Rodeo the bull Age- 22 Birthday- October 29 Rodeo is a laid-back, gentle bull who loves things like flowers, snacks, watching the clouds drift by, and taking naps. He gets along well with Pastell for these reasons. He is very relaxed, but sometimes he likes to work out, at the prompt of Audie. Bettina the mouse Age- 20 Birthday- June 12 Bettina is a chipper, kind mouse who likes cooking. Her favorite foods are pasta dishes with cheese in them. She likes to read books, and her favorites are usually mystery novels or classic children’s literature.
—CHAPTERS AND SUMMARIES— (so far)
Pilot Episode- Luana, working part time as a resort in the Bahamas, was the captain of a small tour boat. Rhona was the assistant captain and tour guide for what was supposed to only be a three-hour whale-watching tour... When they headed for a storm out in the open sea, Luana was reckless and refused to turn back, even though Rhona warily advised her to retreat. All the passengers had a bad feeling about it. Pastell was sitting next to Haku, whom she had just met, and had been having a conversation with her. Nico and Rin had just met, and were sitting next to each other as well. Teto was meanwhile trying to make friends with Octavia, the “mysterious pretty lady” sitting in the shade. Her bouncy and hyper personality repelled most people, but Octavia found it endearing... Now everyone was panicking. The intense storm grew stronger, and eventually flipped over and wrecked the boat once it was out in the open sea. The strong current swept away the parts and passengers to a nearby mysterious island… Looking for Snowbell Shortly after everyone is conscious and brought to safety, there is relief that everyone on the boat had survived. However, thoughts in Haku’s mind are racing, and she’s too ashamed to tell the others why. Haku’s plush cat, Snowbell, which she took everywhere, is missing. When Haku came to, Snowbell was nowhere to be found. Snowbell is extremely precious to Haku, and she cannot be without her. Haku breaks down and tells everyone that she is missing her plush cat, and surprisingly, the she is responded to nicely and is offered help. However, Luana thinks Haku is being a crybaby. At one point Haku is about to give up, crying as she imagines Snowbell floating all alone in the ocean, lost forever. But Luana, who initially said Haku was overreacting, spots Snowbell behind some rocks on the beach. Just then, the tide begins to carry Snowbell away. Luana jumps straight into the rough tide and retrieves Snowbell for Haku, even getting scraped knees in the process. Haku concludes that Luana isn’t so harsh after all. Island Improvement and Nook Miles Tom Nook feels there is a predicament, there are 8 new members of the island ad they have nowhere to go, and they need housing, at least temporarily. They have no money to offer, so as leader of the island, he decides to make up a brand-new system of currency on the spot—Nook Miles. They will be rewarded for decorating and improving the island. In the meanwhile, Nook and everyone have to work hard building houses for the castaways. Meeting Everyone An episode where everyone interacts with each other, and everyone gets to know each other. The story of Furries An episode that tells the backstory of the furries, and lore of the furries. Pastell and Haku’s Mystery Island Tour Pastell and Haku win a Tour on a Mystery Island, and meet Audie, a stray wolf furry alone on an island. Pastell and Haku decide to invite Audie to Moondrop Island. Blathers and the Museum Blathers opens up his museum. Rhona’s marine life account of the island The chapter is told by Rhona’s point of view, as she converses with Blathers, dives in the ocean, fishes, is curious about Sly and Flo (an alligator and penguin furry respectively), and observes the rest of the characters going about their day. Luana’s chaotic account of the island Luana and Rhona decide to hang out. Rhona is down-to-earth and calm and collected. Luana is chaotic, wild, and a loose cannon. Luana always runs and scares the fish when Rhona is trying to catch it. Every. Single. Time. The Mysterious Mia Okuda Nico is a fan of Mia Okuda, the mysterious retired school idol with a frilly-gothic image, long black hair, and a deep, velvety voice. When Octavia first comes into Nico’s room, she sees a poster of Mia Okuda hanging on the wall. (Don’t ask why that was being sold in Nook’s Cranny. I know it makes no sense.) “This is one of my favorite idols.” Nico says. “She’s pretty obscure. You probably don’t know of her.” But what Nico doesn’t know that Mia Okuda is actually Octavia back in high school! Nico and drama Nico causes some drama. Teto thinks Octavia is a vampire Self-explanatory title. Bettina and Rodeo’s cooking show Bettina tries to put on a cooking show. Rodeo eats the ingredients. Shooting Stars There is a meteor shower one night. Everyone meets Celeste and watches shooting stars with her. The next morning, mysterious star fragments wash up on the beach. One fragment starts glowing and goes inside of Snowbell, Haku’s plush cat. Snowbell then comes to life, as a real cat. This is because Haku had wished that Snowbell could come alive. From then on, Snowbell is Haku’s pet. Teto’s birthday Teto celebrates her birthday on the island. The Tarantula Incident Nico is terrified of tarantulas. However, tarantulas unfortunately love her. Nico Yazawa has a huge cult following of tarantulas, as she is the most popular school idol in tarantula society... Nico and Luana also don’t get along at all at first. Nico is a total diva, and Luana is a total slob. Nico uses her Nook Mikes ticket at the same time as Luana, and they have to go to the same island. The island is infested with tarantulas everywhere. (Also, please don’t ask how they can do mystery island tours without a GPS, lol) Nico is terrified. The tarantulas however, adore Nico and want to get her autograph, so they climb on her. Nico screams for Luana to help her. Luana fearlessly pulls out her net and attempts to rescue Nico from the tarantulas by just catching all of them. However, the tarantulas see Luana as a threat and run up to her, biting her simultaneously and knocking her out with their poison. Nico faints from the shock (again), leaving her terrrifying tarantula fans to climb over her and steal her belongings as souvenirs. Nico and Luana are rescued and they go back home. Nico apologizes to Luana and thanks her for trying to save her, and they form a friendship from them on. However, Nico accidentally takes one tarantula back with her. She eventually ends up keeping him as a pet. His name is Terry and he can talk. He becomes like Nico’s sidekick and partner in crime. Nico looks to Terry for advice. Bunny Day Madness Zipper T. Bunny comes to the island and hides eggs everywhere. Madness ensues. Grumpy Vladimir Vladimir is grumpy because he’s small, cute, and pink, and nobody takes him seriously. Dreams of home Everyone becomes wistful and starts dreaming and reminiscing of home during a slow, rainy day. A somber, psychological episode to break the pace. Also we get to see Rhona cry. But not Luana, because she (allegedly) never cries. Octavia goes fishing Octavia is taken fishing by Rhona. Octavia only catches bass. (Gee, wonder why.) Wisp the ghost Everyone is doing a test of courage, when they stumble across a real ghost! However, the ghost is much more afraid of them than they are of it... The town tune panic Everyone fights over what the town tune should be. To compromise, everyone puts two notes of their favorite song and make a brand new song out of all their songs altogether. The end result song ends up sounding like a disaster. It gets stuck in the heads of everyone on the island and drives the population crazy. Bonus: Octavia’s backstory The first of the Bonus backstory chapters. We get to see Octavia in high school as Mia Okuda, and finally find out what event made her stop singing... (SPOILERS: It was because she was publically criticized and humiliated because “her voice was too deep for a teen idol’s.” Then she saw all the memes people made about her voice and became too ashamed to sing, or even listen to herself again for a long time.) Finding my voice again The black bass Octavia keeps in her house begins to talk one morning. It tells Octavia that it’s time. With a little help and guidance, the fish is determined to help Octavia find her voice and start singing again. Octavia is a mess at first, and at one point she becomes even more discouraged than before she started, convinced she lost the ability to sing forever, and now there’s even proof. She runs out of her house and sits on a bench, distraught. Flo comes up to her, in a good mood, offering half of her corn dog. Octavia can no longer hide her emotions and starts sobbing. When Flo asks what’s wrong, Octavia tells her everything. Flo ends up giving Octavia sage advice. “Each song is kinda like a journey. When you sing, just pretend you’re the heroine.” Octavia returns to her house, with a new determination inside her. She starts singing again, for the first time in eight years. Nico is walking outside. She’s feeling glum because her ice cream dropped in the pond, when she hears a powerful singing voice that’s undeniably the voice of one of her favorite idols... She runs straight into Octavia’s nearby house to tell her, “Oh my gosh! Mia Okuda is on the island! I hear her singing!” When Nico realizes Octavia was singing, the pieces finally click... Octavia was Mia Okuda all along! Nico faints dramatically and theatrically. Idol Madness With Nico realizing one of her favorite idols was on the island, she feels so tingly, but also overshadowed. Audie also wants to be an idol, so Nico already has competition. Not only that, but Haku is aiming to be some sort of musician of some kind. But she’s so shy that she doesn’t show her face much anyway. But with all the talent on the island, Tom Nook suggests everyone should share their talents in an upcoming talent show and dance party night! The Island’s Talent Show Dance Party Night! All day, everyone is getting ready and looking forward to the island’s big shiny event. Haku’s stage fright Haku has stage fright about performing her music. What is Pastell’s talent? Everyone on the island has such talent. Everyone has their music, Bettina can cook, and Sly can lift weights. Even Rodeo can eat five ice cream cones in under a minute... without getting brain freeze! It seems everyone on the island has some sort of talent... except for Pastell. Just what is Pastell’s hidden talent? Moondrop Fame With all the talent and recent development on Moondrop, word got out to K.K. Slider that the island was one to look out for... to the point where he called, scheduling an appearance! K.K. Slider’s Grand Appearance! K.K. Slider finally appears and gives a performance. Goodbye, Pekoe? Pekoe plans to move away from the island, back to her home with her old family...

One Does Not Simply Jump Overboard
aka the long awaited Of Milk and Cookies Chapter 14
Lloyd was pretty sure that if there was an award for totally reckless bravery in near-death situations, Zane had just won it. He'd felt his heart drop when the nindroid dove overboard into the frothy ocean below, the dangers of losing a teammate (no, a brother) before they even made it to the Dark Island to confront his father suddenly very real. And this realization terrified him. His inner monolog of oh no, oh no, oh heck no had lasted way too long before he'd finally sighted the master of ice arriving safely back on the deck of the Bounty again. He was pretty sure Zane had no idea how not okay they would have been if he hadn't ultimately reappeared. Lloyd was barely holding himself together without this reminder that his adoptive family of awkward teenagers might not make it through this in one piece. It had been easy to channel his inner Kai while they were back in ninjago and act all cocky and confident, like nothing was wrong. But the farther from home they traveled, the less sure of himself, or their mission, he felt. The fact that he still wasn't used to his mother's somewhat smothering presence wasn't helping. She was obviously trying, but her efforts couldn't erase years of absence overnight (a fact he sometimes wondered if she realized). He wasn't oblivious to the dark looks Kai and Nya had been shooting Misako whenever they felt she was overstepping unstated boundaries, either. If only their reunion could have been like Zane and Doctor Julien's...
"So," Nya said, interrupting his thoughts as she finally managed to figure out where Lloyd had hidden himself away after dinner, "Today was kinda a lot, huh?"
He grinned wearily at her as she joined him in the little tent he'd scrapped together where the sloped roof of the Bounty flattened into a platform like surface.
"Yeah. Just, just a little." the blonde agreed. He looked out over the darkening expanse of ocean, not quite sure what else to say. They sat there in silence, enjoying the temporary peace.
"I, uh, just wanted to check on you. Make sure you weren't too furious with Zane for almost getting himself killed out there today." she explained, eventually, before wrapping herself in a spare blanket. Nya's ability to sense when he needed someone to talk to never failed to amaze him.
"Oh." Lloyd replied softly, "I – yeah… that was… How does he do it?"
"Do what?" Nya asked.
"Just jump right into helping people, without worrying about his own wellbeing?" he clarified.
"He's Zane, built to protect those who can't protect themselves. It's just who he is. I'm not even sure he realized jumping into the ocean to save that leviathan was dangerous at the time…" She told him as if it were the simplest thing in the world. Lloyd looked over at her, quietly asking, "Nya? What would we have done if – if he didn't…?" He cringed a little, not liking the way his voice cracked. She leaned against him, grounding him before he could allow himself to dwell on the what if's for too long.
"I dunno. I really don't. But he's still here. We all are. It's gonna be okay."
"Yeah, but for how long?" he couldn't help but mutter. Nya shifted sideways, regarding him for a moment before saying anything.
"You're worried about what happens when we reach the Dark Island." she observed knowingly. The Green Ninja opened his mouth, shut it, and sighed.
"I-I… it's just… everything is happening so quickly now… we'll be there by mid-day tomorrow and… I'm… not sure I'm ready for this… facing my dad? It scares me… I'm not brave like you, or Kai, or Zane… I'm just…. A scared kid in a teen's body." he stated in a small voice, turning wrapped an arm around his shoulders and squeezed them.
"You know, sometimes I wonder how you can be so amazing at seeing the good in others, but totally miss it in yourself. You're one of the bravest people I know, Lloyd."
"R-really?" Lloyd snorted wetly in disbelief.
"Would I lie to you?" she retorted, booping his nose with affection and pulling some tissues out of her pocket. Yeah, she could definitely tell he'd been on the verge of crying.
"Well... If you thought it'd make me happy..." he offered up lamely. The raven-haired girl shook her head in disbelief.
"I guess you've got me all figured out, green bean." she relented, marveling at how grown up her baby brother was becoming. Even if he didn't recognize it yet.
"But I'm serious. You really are an incredibly brave person. Who came to save us when everyone got captured by Pythor?"
"I mean, I kinda got caught too, but, me." Lloyd stated.
"Who talked an entire school of future villains into embracing their inner light?" Nya continued.
"Also me. Just not sure I'd call that brave." he protested, making a face, not sure if he appreciated this trip down memory lane.
"And who used the Tomorrow's Tea to defeat the Grundle, knowing full well that it would have irreversible consequences for them?" she finished. Lloyd frowned. He'd rather not dwell on that decision. It had really done a number on him since.
"That's different..."
"Is it, Lloyd? Because I don't think you would've done any of those things if you weren't at least a little brave."
"Okay. So maybe I am brave..." the blonde caved, deciding to let Nya win this one, "But that doesn't change how terrified I am, Nya. What if I can't do it? Mom says he'd never hurt me, and I don't wanna hurt him, either..." he said, referring to his father, "But when it comes down to it, one of us is gonna have to hurt the other... I-I... we're supposed to fight..."
Nya listened to his ramblings with patience, waiting for him to trail off before she offered her own thoughts.
"Remember what I told you when we first found out you were the Green Ninja?"
"That... you couldn't wait to see Kai's face when he realized I technically won the deal?" Lloyd recalled, looking a bit less troubled at the memory.
"I wasn't wrong. His reaction was priceless!" she laughed softly, "But what I meant was... Kai and I – we promised you wouldn't be alone when the time came. We're gonna do everything in our power to keep that promise. So, you don't have to fake being okay just because you don't wanna worry us."
"Pft... I definitely haven't been doing that." he deadpanned, knowing that to deny it would be a lost cause. His sister rolled her eyes at this.
"You're allowed to be scared and unsure. Just remember, you have an awful lot of people who'd do anything for you, no questions asked. Even if some of them are total idiots in how they go about showing it." she reminded him. He put his head on her shoulder, comforted by her words. His family might not be experts when it came to acting responsibly, but he loved them just the same.
"Definitely total idiots." Lloyd agreed, laughing a little himself. Nya gave a contented sigh and let him snuggle against her. This conversation seemed to be just what he'd needed. She only wished it wasn't necessary, that she could give him some assurance about how the prophesied battle would turn out okay because he was Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon, the kid with a heart of gold and an incredible sort of light radiating off of him. But she wasn't psychic. She didn't want to make false promises or whitewash the danger they were in. So instead, she settled for, "Speaking of idiots, I can think of one who needs to be told a thing or two about jumping overboard with no warning and giving us all a heart attack."
"Wanna go yell at Zane?" the Green Ninja asked with a snort.
"Do I ever!" Nya said, grinning wickedly. Together, they left the safety and seclusion of the rooftop tent in favor of locating the nindroid. As it turned out, they didn't have to look for very long. The sound of laughter drew them to the kitchen; Zane had turned his humor switch on once again, much to the bemusement of his father. Obviously he'd ended up in good company.
"Oh, Zane..." the samurai sang sweetly as she and Lloyd entered the room.
"Yes, Nya?" he answered, reverting back to his usual self. Nya took a big breath before laying into him.
"Do you have any idea how DANGEROUS it was to jump overboard like that?! You could've gotten yourself killed! Are you trying to traumatize Lloyd?!"
"Yep, I'm definitely traumatized now," Lloyd joined in, showing no mercy. Dr. Julien followed the tirade with amusement. His poor son seemed to be at a loss for words.
"But I... We... Sorry?" Zane protested weakly. He rushed over to Lloyd. He seemed... Fine? There were no visible signs of emotional scarring?
"Promise me you'll never do something like that again?" Lloyd begged, giving him his best puppy dog eyes.
"You know I am unable to completely guarantee anything, as it is my duty to protect you and others, but... I shall do my best." he told them. Having weaseled out this assurance, Nya decided that it was time for them to stop pestering Zane over his questionable life choices.
"We're glad you're okay." she stated, smiling at the nindroid to make sure he knew they weren't too terribly upset with him. "So am I." he replied. Lloyd hugged him tightly, catching him a little off guard, but he didn't mind. Tomorrow they would reach the dark island. The future was unpredictable, but for tonight, everyone was safe and sound.

Lets play a game called, I write at one in the morning, and prays this all makes sense! Non benders au edition :D
- - -
In a world where bending is power held by few, power was always shifted against you. Control of the very elements was unfair fight against those who had no magical abilities.
But such as all humans do, they adapted.
"Again!" The instructor shouted to the group, warriors practicing in pairs. The infamous earth kingdom warriors who never moved earth themselves, but where a force the mightiest of earthbenders trembled for.
The warriors of Kyoshi had honor, skill, and unshakable will. The most respected force in the Earth Kingdom, even if most of their roles where ceremonial now. At least for those who where stationed at Republic City. Ten of the best had been invited with a prestige of Ba Sing Se diplomats, a chance to see the big city, and to share their culture and skills.
And now they where in the courtyard, drilling again and again. No mistake would happen at tonight's demonstration. A performance really, something they weren't unfamiliar with, but not exactly enjoyed.
"Practice practice practice, that's all we seem to do. All we do is perform! What's the point of all of this if we don't do anything, don't protect anyone!" The only man among the warriors complained, while dueling with his twin. While traditionally the warriors of Kyoshi have been woman, men serving was not unheard of, but very few where able to rise among the ranks such as him.
"Kai, we've talked about this. We are guests, we cant just go on the streets and fight crime." His sister chastised, parring his fan to the steady of the beat of the drum, keeping them all in step with one another.
Kai huffed as he twirled and threw a high sweep that his sister dodged easily, "Then why become a warrior Nya? I wanted to protect people, not be a fancy action figure! Even at home we didn't do much besides train!"
"Because there is no trouble. That is our goal!" Nya huffed as she captured her brothers hand, twisting it into a lock, "Keeping others safe, if there's no crime, no raids, theirs no turmoil. We keep people safe by keeping the peace."
A horn sounded, signaling the end of training. Giving their respects to their mentor the young warriors collected their gear and dispersed, but not before company arrived.
"Look, its the girls of Kyoshi! Hello ladies!" A few young metalbenders had stopped by to wave at the girls. They where off duty and seemed to hope that they could woo some of them.
"Hey look! I don't think that one's a lady! What do you think your doing sir, hoping to catch one of them yourself?" One of them jeered at Kai, making him grind his teeth in preventing himself from replying. He had a duty to be levelheaded at all times, but boy he was tempted to make them eat their own words. Especially when they targeted him.
"C'mon, leave the girlies alone. You heard their leader the other day, they mustn't be disturbed, they're too delicate for our brutish city ways!" And the group fell into laughter as the warriors passed by, ignoring them, but one of them fell out of step.
"Oh! one of them seems pissed. Now you've done it, she's going to fan you away now!" And they fell into hysterical laughter, as one of them turned to them.
"Maybe I will, if your brave enough to face me." Nya said with false kindness, betrayed by the pure murder in her eyes. Murderous intent that the men ignored.
"Brave enough? Girl I've been on this force for seven years. I'm one of the best metalbenders you will meet on this side of the city. I don't think I'll have any trouble with one little non-bender girl." The man sneered, confidence clear on his face. The poor soul, he doesn't know what he's getting into.
"Meet me here sundown, unless your a coward." She retorted, spinning on her heel and rejoining the group.
"What where you saying 'bout, 'keeping the peace'?" Kai smirked.
"Shut up, or I'll get you on cleaning duty again, and you'll miss the fight." She said playfully elbowing him in the ribs.
"Ow! Fine, I don't wanna miss you rearranging that jerks face. Just make sure teach doesn't find out or you're out of the demonstration."
"Oh, don't worry. She'll never know."
