Just saw a post on my dash claiming you're a terf psyop because some terf on Twitter has the same username as you. I just wanted to warn you in case you haven't seen it yourself. You two having the same name is the only evidence given in the post. Nothing else. And I frankly don't believe it for a second. But other people are spreading this and seem to be accepting it as the truth. And I think it's messed up, and I'm worried about you. You don't have to respond to this at all btw; I just wouldn't have felt right about seeing this and not telling you.
Tumblr media
Well this is wild lmao. I'm presuming both of these are talking about the same person.
Tumblr media
Obviously that is not me. Mostly because I am not in fact a TERF (or from the UK). I chose "genderkoolaid" to be ironic because transphobes use that phrase.
But also because, if I was a TERF psyop, why in the world would I use the same URL for both my secret evil psyop account and my blatant TERF account?
She seems to have developed an entire conspiracy theory around transandrophobia in which she starts with the idea that everyone who talks about it is a secret TERF, and works backwards to twist anything anyone ever says into being proof of her conspiracy:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
^ Her pinned post is... something!
Anyone can find the worst posts in the transandrophobia tag and use it as proof the whole thing is transmisognistic, because obviously transmisogyny remains a widespread problem and no space or group is exempt. But she doesn't even use those, really. Any post that talks about how transmascs suffer from misogyny, or just suffer in general, is apparently saying trans men are women and should detransition.
It's wild that she seems to understand that radical feminism relies on this man bad/woman good binary, AND that TERFs target trans men for conversion therapy, but does not seem to understand that... this is not that?
It's only somewhat included in the first screenshot, but the third image in that trio is an image with Joan of Arc which many of you have probably seen:
Tumblr media
... which does nothing but contrast claims about masculinity with a person whose murder was justified because of their invalid masculinity. But of course, by masculinity we must REALLY mean... cis womanhood! That makes sense!
She also apparently believes that me describing myself as FTMTX is code for me being a detransitioner:
Tumblr media
Like, this is genuinely just conspiracism & exorsexism. She seems one step away from claiming TMRAs are all Satanists kidnapping children.
To give her credit for one thing, though: She tags these as "broeddels" which, while useless as a term, is a very good pun.
Don't harass this person, primarily because harassment is bad but also because it seems like she is not in the best space and is obsessing over this as a result.
& if you want to actually support trans women, consider raising awareness of Rue, a Black teenage trans girl who recently survived a stabbing in Houston.

I genuinely get so angry when someone says that David hates Hook because of his attraction to Emma LIKE NO. HE HATES HOOK BECAUSE HE HAS INTERNALISED CLASSISM AND HAS SPENT HIS LIFE BELIEVING THAT THIEVES AND PIRATES ARE NOTHING MORE THAN SCUM WHO CHOSE TO BE THAT WAY. WHICH IS THE EXACT SAME REASON HE HATES SNOW AT FIRST. HE IS ALSO A MONARCH AND A SHERIFF. OF COURSE HE’S GOING TO HATE THE ANARCHIST CHARACTER.
PLUS, HOOK FLIRTING WITH EMMA WASN’T THE FIRST INSTANCE OF THEM HATING EACH OTHER. IT WAS HIM FLIRTING WITH MARY MARGARET. WHICH WOULD BE SEEN AS A HUGE INSULT TO DAVID IN ENCHANTED FOREST SOCIETY. NOT ONLY DOES DAVID LOVE HIS WIFE HE PROBABLY ALSO RECOGNISES HOOK IS DOING IT AS A THREAT TO HIS MASCULINITY.
EMMA ISN’T EVEN THERE WHEN THEY PROPERLY MEET. FFS.

SO! Here is what i've given my heart and soul to this year (apart from uni entrance exams).
A short comic about masculinity, and not being enough and some other little things.
Well, it was for a contest with "thieves" as a subject. Which i totally ignored. I mean, not totally but i metaphorised it as i pleased.
Idk who will see this but, hope you like it!
(I know the comic is in Spanish, I'll translate it beneath the images but I'm not home and won't be for a while jajajaj so, not editing the images. Apologies)
Also! Here is a link to a 3D version of it!! With backcover and all!!! I. Am. Obsessed. Please check it out (i dont get anything out of it just. Im proud of it. It looks like a read book. So pretty jsjsjdh)

Cry
Tumblr media
Well, shall we continue?
My boy is turning into a man
Perhaps that is why his tears have been stolen
And, nonetheless, he is set on retrieving them.
I don't get it.
Tumblr media
But, could you explain to me why this obsession?
They're mine, I don't want to have them taken away
Yeah, but soon you'll be a men, Nico. Men don't cry.
Tumblr media
Shut it, we gotta keep searching!
Tumblr media
Men don't do anything fun.
They don't chit-chat
or laugh
Men also don't fear.
And i fear.
And isn't that bad?
Hey!
Tumblr media
But is it true that men don't feel scared? Or sad?
I don't know
And me?
Will i be a bad man then?
Perhaps being a man is more complex than all of that. And, in any case, i think you'll be a good one.
Tumblr media
Nico is getting older.
Perhaps that is why his tears have been stolen, but he is set on getting them back.
A story by Paula Donas.

I finally saw the Barbie Movie and it was… really just a movie. Gave me something to do for two hours, but it didn’t feel substantive. Had some good messaging for women who needed to hear the same message the “brainwashed” Barbies needed to hear, even though that concept sounds patronizing now that I’m putting words to it. I have other thoughts, but voicing them feels a little like beating a dead horse. Women far smarter than I have provided incredibly cutting critiques of this movie and its portrayal white feminism, girlboss feminism, and capitalistic feminism.
#really weird that the genocide of indigenous people happened in Barbie Land too. I caught that Barbie Land Mt. Rushmore scene#no one making that movie probably thought of the implications of that#a part of me was wondering if I was Too Trans™️ for parts of this movie to make sense to me#because I have never understood the way we sort things into binaries and the way we gender things#So I was constantly like: '*This* is their masculinity?' There was no teeth in its critique of masculinity. Hell. There was no critique#there wasn't even a real critique of the patriarchy as a system of power or the masculinity it inspires#it was just a vague caricature of men and the idea 'Men don't understand us. They just talk at us rather than to us; mansplain and stuff...#...but they desire us and want our affection and attention so we can weaponize that to our advantage for our power.'#Umm...no you can't. They don't actually like you; they see you as a status symbol. You can't use a feature of the patriarchy to take it dow#whatever...#oh. also:#Me: ‘Oh my god. Look at all the fanny packs.’#my mother: ‘Do you see they’re in a Metallica font?’#‘Yes…’#‘You know what Metallica’s logo looks like right?’#‘Yes.’#‘So you get it?’#*blinks* ‘…No.’#‘🙄 So you don’t know what it looks like.’ *proceeds to show me a picture of the Metallica logo*#‘Okay. Yeah. Looks cool? I suppose they chose that font because of that.’#‘They chose it because it’s masculine.’#‘Huh? What?’#‘Have you even heard Metallica before?’#‘Yup.’#‘So you know it’s music for men.’#‘Umm… I don’t know about that. I think any one can like their music. I get it’s a band of white men but anyone can like metal & that genre.#‘🙄 It’s men’s music. That’s the point.’#‘Is it? Or have the Kens just appropriated anything they think ‘looks cool’ and proclaimed it as something ‘for’ men?’#(like— I got the impression they were just repeating what they saw and heard#did the creators think Metallica is 'for men' or did they recognize men's tendency to appropriate and gatekeep?)

since pepper was asking for it something that girls do that always makes me think 'cool gender' is not change their names despite it being historically masculine and re-defining the name through their identity and relationship to it.
#dylan mulvaney springs to mind. of course. along with some less famous examples.#shes a great example to give because a lot of things about her align with ideals of cishet feminine ideals and she could've changed her nam#to match. but chose to keep dylan. great gender moment#another thing that i always think is a cool gender is girls who understand femininity as non-necessary addition and arent afraid of#masculinity being a detractor in their appearance#this includes things like girls who talk openly about their dick or dont tuck or a girl i saw recently who rocked a full beard with#lashes a wig and a full beat#and donning a butch identity as a trans girl is always a 'cool gender' moment. especially if she feels little to no need to change much#about herself. the pressures to change yourself as even a cis woman are so high that cis women earn 'cool gender' points from other cis#women for openly combatting them by not performing. the same should be extended to trans sisters#i feel like the 'cool gender' moments most often live in autistic transmasc communities. who are more interested in the metaphysical.#(and there are less fun masculine compliments out there to give so cool gender exists to fill that hole)#but i agree with her. more trans girls and transfeminine people should be seen as people with 'cool genders'#not thinking of donning femininity when thinking of cool genders is indeed misogynistic. dare i say transmisogynistic#hope you guys enjoy me dickriding (so to speak) for the girls every few months. as pippa has pointed out to me many times its a core part o#who i am#what did she just send me hold on#'i prefer “niche enjoyer” to chaser actually'#(in response to me saying something about trans women being the niche in the lgbt im most drawn to. theres no way to say that without#it sounding weird. something something fetishisation often means genuine appreciation reads as predatory making uncomplicated love seem#impossible which further marginalises the fetishised community etc... im just chatting shit u get what i mean)#im like a platonic chaser. unless youre interested in doing something unlabelled with an emphasis on the psycho of psychosexual in the note#i would say that that role has already been filled but who is interested in upholding monogamy in this day and age

Sek’s Wards: Sveyko and S’veyk
Their biological mother fell in love with a Klingon and ran off to be with him when they were both in their teens and they were very happy. Unfortunately, her family was not as happy and basically disowned her. When her bondmate hit his pon farr she was compelled to go back home, both because of the bond but also because she and her Klingon partner wanted their bond to be recognized by her family. It was incredibly important for some reason. Unfortunately again, the man she loved was killed during the kal-if-fee and she married her bondmate instead, unable to fight for some reason. A few months later the reason for both of these things was revealed to be the twins, belonging to her Klingon lover. The twins’ mother died when they were quite young and their father + the rest of their biological family were very cruel to them. Their father had long since lost his logic and blamed them for the way his life turned out, meanwhile the rest of the family was negligent and refused to speak of or interact meaningfully with the children. Sek came across them while visiting the house to speak to their father about something work related, as they were both teachers. Sek was immediately disturbed by their appearance (their living conditions were obviously poor but the house and its other occupants were fine. They also appeared to be very afraid/aggressive.)  Sek reported his suspicions to the proper authorities and their legal father was tried and placed in a rehabilitation center but it quickly became an anti-custody battle because neither the girls’ Vulcan nor Klingon relatives wanted to house them. Sek stayed with them throughout this process and enlisted the help of his siblings Asil (private eye) and Elieth (politician) to help him understand the legalese and government systems more.  Eventually, Sek took them in as wards so they would have a stable place to recover until they were put in a better home. However, after a few years he petitioned to house them permanently and all parties agreed that that ‘would be best.’

Idk if it’s different for yt folks but the post claiming ppl “respect” or “are cool with” afab nb ppl is always… confusing to me.
Like we should absolutely highlight how ppl treat amab nb or trans fem non-binary folks like garbage but like.. most lgb+ space don’t respect or acknowledge afab nb folks either. It’s either constant erasure or demonization.

#alright might delete this later because I avoid discourse for the most part#so#while I feel a lot of things this season would have worked better with some more breathing room#I’m happy with all the story beats they chose to play this season#i saw a take that was basically ‘Izzy mirrored Ed’s relationship to the toxic masculinity of the pirating world’#’he was tormented by it in the first season and then in the second it softened and died’#and I think that works pretty well symbolically#a lot of people are trying to analyze the show as if these are real people being put through real things#when at they end of the day they are characters representing symbols and ideas and pieces of real people#basically I’ve seen a few people saying that Izzy’s death negates the theme of this show being queer love and joy#and that really annoyed me because I don’t think it’s true#and I think in a show with so many queer characters you can give them room to explore one dying#I feel like if we’d had more time it could have been more nuanced and we could have seen more of the characters reactions#but we had 4hrs total of television this season#and they had so much story they wanted to tell#and I feel like they also wanted to make sure things were resolved in case they didn’t get renewed#and that means they had to put in the beats they felt were most important#without a lot of room to breathe between those beats#so in conclusion i liked this season#i really wish we had more of it#but I appreciate what we have#and I hope we get a s3

I want to know if modern audiences foaming at the mouth accusing people like H of "baiting" would say that about Elvis now too. omg! HE WORE MAKEUP. PINK. SPARKLY SHIT. in his case, while being straight. OFFENSIVE! 😱
the elvis erasure tbh.
Those glittering garments with their embroideries and nailhead patterns or paste gem barnacles were precursors to the stage-wear worn by every pop star — Prince, David Bowie, Harry Styles — who ever invited his fans to feast their eyes on him erotically. (x)
people incensed that a man would dare to wear *checks notes* pink and rhinestones and fringe...the horror
i keep thinking about this because it's still some embedded biased ideas projected onto artists, except now THE CALL IS COMING FROM INSIDE THE HOUSE?!?! elvis was met with judgement and scrutiny for his style (sartorial and musical), his fashion and presentation were deemed a threat by some, due to stringent concepts and preconceived notions about sexuality/race/gender, and it was later weaponized against him for other unkind reasons. but those with that more biased mindset are still doing that to people, except now it's ALSO being perpetuated by many who ought to understand acceptance and why the blurring and breaking of those rigid boundaries and boxes is important. make it make sense.
bring back manly men, i guess

#not to be that guy #but I read the post as poorly worded but well intentioned #men can still struggle with internalised misogyny and working through that #think a lot of people on this post just jumps right to the 'oh so you're misogynistic?!?? a thousand deaths for all men' #can you guys at least have a little bit nuanced thinking than only barking that men are evil?? for once? #men can struggle with unlearning something they've been thought their entire life gdi #idk #just kinda think the agreessive barking is a bit...excessive
Fucking thank you for saying this
Tumblr media
a contender for dumbest post I’ve seen on here… literally ‘let men hate women’
#this hellsite is so stupid and toxic w its lack of nuance and reading comprehension#the whole point of this post however awkwardly it's worded is that if someone is struggling w shit and trying to unlearn things#they're still deserving of love EVEN if other people aren't willing to be around em until they stop acting on those beliefs#too many peeps in their early 20s pulling this black-and-white shit and saying 'you have internalized biases! binned 4ever scum!'#and it makes me sick#contrary to the tumblr echo chamber's belief men CAN actually unlearn this shit. and be aware of it before they unlearn it.#(to think the word 'struggle' would've clued op in to what the statement was supposed to be about. because 'struggle' implies resistance)#(as in resistance to what they're experiencing and feeling. but nah. op just chose to be silly and reductive bc they wanted to rage farm)#i also checked out op's blog and they're complaining that they have to block people who are pointing the above things out#yet the post is brand new so they could've just turned off reboobs.#they're 'too lazy' to turn off reboobs which is like 3 clicks. but not too lazy to keep blocking people over and OVER again apparently.#the fact they haven't done it is kinda telling. do they want attention? validation for pointing out an imagined problem? both? idk.#but there are healthier and less manipulative ways to get attention and validation than that. trust me#misogyny#toxic masculinity#sexism#gender#gender roles

I put much more thought into my middle name than my first (still very little thought tho), but I still frequently just. Forget that my middle name exists. Despite having chosen it.
#so my first and middle names are austyn jace#for austyn i legit just went through a baby name site and read masculine names until i vibed with one#cuz when i chose ny name i thought i was a trans man#i chose austin. then as i discovered im nonbinary i changed it to austyn#its the feminine spelling of a masculine name so its kind of in the middle#but truly i just chose austi/yn because i vibed with it. like macimum 15 minutes of thought went into it#for jace i wanted a middle name that started with j so i could go by aj if i wanted#i considered james and liked that but there was a kid at school named james and he was a dick#jace has a similar sound and vibe to it so i chose jace#thats one i chose from my brain instead of the internet. and for a specific reason#sometimes i wish i had put more thought into my first name because it doesnt have any special meaning and isnt super unique#but irs mine. for awhile now ive been considering going by jace because its more of the nb vibe that i like#but recently one of my friends changed her name to jase (pronounced the same) so i simply cant change it to that now lol#ive been austyn for so long i wouldnt want to chsnge it. i love it#but occasionally i do regret not putting a little bit more thought into it#and i frequently forget my middle name tbh#'whats your middle name?' 'um.... jace!'#sometimes i switch back to my old middle name#whoch i dont hate. its lynn#but its a family middle name belonging to my mom and her mom and probably moms before her#and my mom was super transphobic when i came out so i got rid of that name super quick. killed that family name#if she hadnt been such a bitch i probs wouldve kept it#truly adds to the androgyny of the name#but i wanted to cut my connections so the family name died with me#austyn lynn is pretty tho#the y in both the names vibes together really nicely
