it was a difficult train of thought to rationalize. functionality wise he was hanging by a thread considering years of abusing it, &. once the proverbial ball began its descent it was impossible to stop it. like a building wave. misinterpreting every goddamn thing that craig did from the conscious to subconscious -- something that quickly, &. i do mean quickly, became overwhelming. especially craig's monotonous demeanor, it can be immensely confusing at any turn. but . . . if tweak could say anything about craig, it's that he knew how to handle him better than anyone else. in terms of letting him work through what's bothering him. even if the contrasts between them do lead to more confusion.

he pauses - hand on shoulder somewhat grounding, warmth of palm spreading to where chest still jumps with upper lip. though he remains stagnant. not speaking is the most confusing part, as nothing could be explained . . . &. anxiety can tarnish perception.

wide eyes stare. i'm not mad at you . . . "you're not?" he asks, hands on his hands a warm salve that melts joints. unfurling fingers until they lower softly, enveloped. breath heavy in calming yet shaky breaths. "o-okay," he begins, nodding before looking down. "sorry craig - i don't mean to make everything about me, you know. you - you got a lot going on, man. i just need you to communicate with me."

craig seemed awkward, unaware of how exactly to approach this situation. he didn't think that simply not speaking would cause such a reaction ━ he shuffled his feet some, hesitantly getting closer to tweek so that he could place a hand on his shoulder.

            ❝ tweek, dude━ calm down. i'm not mad at you. ❞

that was the genuine truth. craig really just had other things on his mind━ his skateboard he'd recently broken and had yet to fix, assignments he had for his classes, that weird squeaking coming from his car . . . he had just been enjoying tweek's presence. well, had been. now he was just concerned.

he took it upon himself to grab onto tweek's hands, a gentle attempt at easing his fingers out of his already damaged hair. ❝ i just was thinking about a bunch of shit. quit freaking out. everything's fine. ❞

I just thought about something...

By now, everyone should know that J. Cole's 2014 Forest Hills Drive and 4 Your Eyez Only is the same concept album with opposite endings. But if you don't know, I'll briefly explain.

2014 Forest Hills Drive is the biography of J. Cole. He talked about growing up in North Carolina and the pivotal moments that led to him leaving Fayetteville to pursue his dreams of becoming a successful music artist.

4 Your Eyez Only was about the life of Cole's friend who also grew up in North Carolina. But he didn't make it out of Fayetteville like Cole did. So he ended up in the streets trying to find his way and provide for his daughter. He ended up passing away. But before he did, he asked Cole to tell his daughter his story if anything happened to him. Hence the title of the album.

So to go back to my point, on the song "03 Adolescence," in the second verse Cole talks about his friend who was a drug dealer. They had a heart-to-heart conversation about their futures. Cole was going to College in New York while the friend was staying home and continuing to sell drugs.

So it just hit me that the friend in "03 Adolescence" is potentially the same friend that 4 Your Eyez Only is about. I haven't seen anyone point this out all these year later, but I think I finally put two and two together.

HENRY WAS more-less aloof to william. or, at least when he's allowed to be. when they aren't doing things . . . well, like this. or if they're lucky, other such activities. those such as pressing his best friend into this very mattress, with curly head pressed to chest. he's enraptured. enraptured by william, by his attention. he always will be, perhaps. even now, as henry's young face is turned down towards their palms, watching whilst william traces the lines of his hand. blond hair is messy &. unkempt, &. they both seem to be avoiding each other's eyes.

henry might be even more in-denial when it comes to his infatuation with will.

yet, somehow he knows he's going to hurt him. that he already has. it swarms his stomach, makes him feel guilty. a phantom pressure on his windpipe. his head turns in as william presses against his shoulder, &. instinct brings henry's nose to will's hair. nuzzling there, as he tries to ward off the pit of anxiety growing inside of his gut. the questions were a lot. &. some he wasn't sure how to answer. so he just says: "i don't know." when you put it like that, them both knowing? it doesn't make much sense, suddenly, to deny it. pursing his lips as he turns his cheek to rest his head atop the other man's. the 'right' could have snapped his heart in two, alone. blinking rapidly while licking his lips. "but, do you really want me that much?" henry says out of the blue, narrowing his brows. for some reason he stupidly didn't expect so somber a showing from afton. "i mean, i'm not that great, you know." monotonous tone mumbles against will's scalp. "you could do better."

William was no romantic—or, well, that was what he preferred to believe about himself. His frequent trysts had been sparser, what with his fresh focus on wooing his closest friend. It was something he had initially framed as strictly sexual, all while taking Henry on pseudo-dates and savoring his mere presence. Even now he was sitting shoulder to shoulder with Henry against the headboard of his dorm room bed, finger lightly tracing over the palm of Henry's hand. ( Perhaps he was infatuated. )

The words made his stomach sink, the skin between his brows pinching for a moment. "Right." His head tipped forward, cheek resting against Henry's shoulder. He had no real argument to make—what proof did he have to the contrary? William Afton who cut out anyone at the first sign of romantic interest, who had no real experience with romance? At least Henry wasn't denying that their attraction was mutual—that was enough to keep William bold. "What do you want, then? For me to pretend I don't want you?" He highly doubted he could have managed that, even if the question hadn't been so clearly insincere. "Will you even be able to play pretend?"

ELLISON OSWALT OF SINISTER (2012), PLOT IDEAS :

ellison moves to the area to write about a recent unsolved crime. this plot can take many forms at several different points in his career. 01). the height of writing one of his hits like kentucky blood, 02). one of his riskier moves like depicted in the film, 03). or even his post-film survival verse where tracy petitions for divorce.

(FOR THOSE INVOLVED IN THE CRIMINAL AND/OR JUSTICE SYSTEM, SUPES, PRIVATE INVESTIGATORS, OCCULT EXPERTS, ETC.) ellison is in their jurisdiction researching, writing about, & investigating a local true crime. these interactions will be heavily based on your characters opinion of what ellison does, his past works, & what he's doing in the area now. they can be a helping hand or an inconvenient roadblock. they might have their own hidden knowledge regarding the case or they may end up making discoveries along with him.

post - college!verse where ellison is just getting started in his career as a writer. he's not yet a novelist but has made a name for himself since his freshman year writing for the bennington lens. he built the crime coverage section from the ground up & solved a string of brutal attacks on students living in a dorm that had been targeted by a past student. following his graduation, he was hired by a well known paper in vermont to do basically the same thing.

(FOR SUPERNATURAL / PARANORMAL FOLKS, SUPES, ETC.) ellison has moved to the area & his investigations + research begin leading him in the direction of your character. whether or not they are directly involved with the crime or even aware of it could vary from plot to plot. regardless of any threats issued or explanations given, ellison has a bad habit of struggling to let go & would likely continue to keep tabs.

The Michael Knowles Guide to Bitcoin, lab grown genitals, and the Olympics

After some intense politics related posts and some downright horrific bigotry being expressed in the grifter-verse, I wanted to do a bit of a more lighthearted post. Naturally, when you're writing a blog like this you kind of have to wait out for something particularly dumb if you want to write a more lighthearted post. Enter Michael Knowles:

I don't -- people, the conservatives are freaking out about this, I actually think it makes perfect sense, we'll get to that in a moment. First though I want to tell you about Hillsdale College."

"Or something" is the kind of brilliant analysis that you can always expect from Michael Knowles. Truly a luminary for the ages.

So, the Olympic Ceremony featured a number of drag-styled performances and naturally the free-speech for me and not for thee crowd has wasted no time in bitching about it. It's just dumb transphobia about something that has zero affect on anyone's life outside of the terminally online. Michael Knowles, the king of declaring that things are pagan, thinks that this was a pagan ritual.

But before we talk about that, keen eyed readers of the blog may have noticed that Michael isn't at his usual set over at the Daily Wire. That's because at the time of filming he was busy on the worlds dumbest field trip. I'll let him explain it.

In all seriousness, Michael and cypto-grifters share a lot in common so this is a pretty suitable environment for a guy like him. Hilariously enough, he's filming live in the middle of the conference so sometimes you can hear the people in the background milling about way more clearly than you can hear Michael’s voice. This "lets get Michael to film his show live in the middle of the convention centre" idea clearly wasn't something that the Daily Wire thought through very well.

I feel like this whole situation is exposing my own moral failings because if I was at the Bitcoin Conference (god forbid) and I saw Michael Knowles just sitting there doing his show live I'd go up and harass the crap out of him. Ok, we can't spend all day making fun of Michael Knowles going live from the Bitcoin Conference, even though it is pretty funny, so lets get back on track here.

05:11, Michael Knowles: "Karine Jean-Pierre, the White House press secretary, was just asked a -- a question about Kamala Harris. Kamala Harris was put in charge of the border by her boss Joe Biden and -- and then the Democrats when Kamala became the presumptive nominee wanted to deny that she was put in charge of the border."

A lot of right-wing media coverage lately has been devoted to claiming that Kamala Harris was the Biden Administrations "Border Czar". The way that right-wing media has been framing this "Border Czar" thing has been extremely dishonest, although a bit of blame also falls on the MSM as well for giving Kamala that title in the first place.

"Border Czar" is not an official title in the United States government and the United States border falls under the jurisdiction of the secretary of Homeland Security. Where the confusion lies is that Kamala was appointed by Biden to be the chief diplomatic officer to Central American countries where undocumented immigrants often originate from in order to address the root causes of migration to the United States. That's a far cry from being in charge of the border however that didn't stop the mainstream media from irresponsibly calling Harris the "border czar" and acting as if she had a semblance of control over the border itself. Thanks to that, right-wing media has decided to have a field-day with claiming that Kamala Harris was in charge of the border. This is a good example of how even mainstream journalists can exaggerate news stories in todays click-based digital economy and how that exaggeration is genuinely dangerous at times.

These are the verbatim words of Joe Biden; 'I've asked her, the VP today, because she is the most qualified person to do it to lead our efforts with Mexico and Northern Triangle and the countries that help -- are going to need to help in stemming the movement of so many folks, stemming the migration of the Southern Border. It's not her full responsibility and job but she's leading the effort because I think the best thing to do is to put someone when he or she speaks they don't have to wonder about is that where the president is.'"

This quote sounds significantly different from what Michael wants his audience to think it sounds like when you understand the fact that Kamala's position was a diplomatic one. Biden even said in the quote that "it's not her full responsibility" and talked about "When she speaks". She was talking to the leaders of foreign nations, not determining policy about border security.

07:22, Michael Knowles: "If you were confused here he is, next sentence, 'When she speaks, she speaks for me'. He imbues her with presidential authority on the issue of the border and migration."

By speaking, Biden was referring to speaking to foreign leaders to devise strategies to cut down on the need for migration, not speaking on the matter of security which is Homeland Securities job.

07:49, Michael Knowles: "So, that's -- that's what happened. Biden put Kamala in charge of the border and now the Democrats are saying 'there's no real -- there's no position of border czar'. Yeah, there's no position of czar in the government. There's no formal position of czar, czar is an imperial title that derives from Caesar so no we don't have a formal position named Caesar or Czar but if you look to Wikipedia, or if you look to Wikipedia before a couple days ago, you could type in 'Biden Administration Czars' and you'd get a whole list of them including Kamala Harris as the Border Czar."

As mentioned previously, the media will often refer to select people as Czars including Kamala Harris after she was given the diplomatic appointment by Joe Biden. Doesn't change what she was actually charged with doing which had nothing to do with security.

09:07, Michael Knowles: "So then, when the nominalism nonsense doesn't work, Karine Jean-Pierre tries to redirect and says 'Well, the Republicans killed a border bill'. Yes, there was a border bill that the Democrats were peddling. It was always a bad idea to consider any of the Democrats border legislation because the president was ignoring the immigration laws that were already on the books. The president already had the authority to enforce immigration law and he chose not to do it because he wanted migrants to flood into the country because the Democrats believe that it gives them a permanent electoral majority."

There is no better metaphor for the current state of the Republican Party and modern American Conservatism in general than Michael Knowles pushing the Great Replacement Theory at the Bitcoin Conference. You can't make this up, it's truly beyond parody.

I'll humor his argument with the exact amount of respect it deserves; Hey Michael, you dumb dipshit you, if the Biden Administration wants the border to be open to replace the hhhwhites or whatever, why did they propose a border security bill in the first place? Wouldn't they just ignore it?

Anyway, this Karine Jean-Pierre stuff is dumb and just standard issue bland right-wing mush. He continues talking about it for a bit, does an ad, comes back to complain about the FBI director testifying before Congress which is just whatever and I'm not talking about it. The GOP drags guys like Chris Wray and Tony Fauci in to generate clips for FOX News and the Daily Wire pursue truth justice and the American way so often that I kind of struggle to care about it. Congress is just a circus these days and the whole point of it in the year of our lord and savior 2024 just seems to be to generate viral clips. Essentially, Chris Wray said that the FBI didn't have all the information about the Trump shooting yet and that Trump may have been grazed and Michael's all fumed up into a tizzy about it. We have way more important things to cover though so that's an immediate skip.

19:31, Michael Knowles: " Now, speaking of gaslighting, a transvestite, a drag queen, has been tasked with carrying the Olympic torch on part of its journey to the Paris Olympics and this has sent the conservative commentariat into a tizzy."

This was before everyone got all pissed off about that Last Supper thing which I'm pretty sure I'll also end up covering at some point but my general thoughts on both things are simple; who gives a shit?

The world isn't designed to cater to this loud minority of bigoted assholes. If you have an extremely bigoted mindset towards trans people, occasionally you're going to see things that you don't like. These ceremonies don't effect Michael Knowles' life in the slightest nor do they effect most peoples lives. Plus, this is just yet another BS culture war story that all of these guys will forget about in a couple weeks when the next reminder that queer people exist comes up.

The lefts key issues are making sure that everybody has access to lifesaving healthcare and preventing children from being shot. The rights key issue is "We had to see a trans person on TV and our bigotry can't handle that".

Well, we can add the Olympics to the increasingly long list of things that the Daily Wire thinks is satanic/pagan.

To be fair, the Olympics do actually have origins in paganism but the torch ceremony wasn't a part of the original games. The first torch ceremony was in the year 1936. Interestingly enough, the guy who created the modern Olympics as we know them was a man named Pierre de Coubertin and he was actually a devout Catholic.

If Michael wants to throw out everything that has pagan origins, than he should get rid of his yule logs and avoid buying a tree when Christmas comes around. Anyway, Michael doesn't care about the Olympics and he doesn't care so much that he's devoting a segment to it and calling for people to boycott the games on Twitter. Really this whole story is just an excuse for to push some gross transphobic propaganda.

21:12, Michael Knowles: "You know me, I'm as rock ribbed about the trans movement as anybody. I think transgenderism ought to be eradicated from public life entirely, the whole preposterous ideology at every level, but pagans gonna do pagan things."

If I was in the background at the Bitcoin Conference this would be the point where Michael starts getting tomatoes chucked at him. Real nice how he's equating being trans with paganism in order to stoke more hatred towards this minority group in his audience. God, this sucks. Wasn't this supposed to be the fun lighthearted post that I write before I go on holiday? Well, he's still broadcasting live from the Bitcoin Conference so there's still that element of accidental satire to all of this.

On that rather dismal note, we're talking about lab grown penises now and with that Michaels show went back to being so dumb its funny.

23:31, Michael Knowles: "Scientists, according to this report, scientists have grown male genitals in a lab and there are fears that it could make blokes obsolete."

This is a headline from a UK tabloid called The Daily Star which lets you know how great Michael's information sources are. I read the article from The Star, as well as articles from the real news, and essentially the gist of this story is that an Israeli scientist used mice cells to grow miniature testicles in a lab and is planning on moving onto using human cells to grow the next pair. She says that her goal is to help treat infertility. Michael offers some truly brilliant insight into this story, check this analysis out.

23:43, Michael Knowles: "This is troubling, not because I think its going to make blokes obsolete but because that must be a very creepy lab. Could you imagine the petri dishes? That sounds really gross."

"That's creepy and gross!", what truly insightful commentary. It's a wonder that Michael hasn't made it to the scientific journals yet. Remind me again why people take this guy seriously.

Conclusion:

Well, that was the Daily Wire live at the Bitcoin Conference. I can't say I'm surprised by how stupid it turned out but Its fun to make fun of regardless. No crazy new revelations about right-wing media and the Daily Wire here; Michael Knowles is as deep as a puddle and they think that everything is pagan, surprise surprise. A fitting last post before I venture off to Washington D.C for a vacation where I get to finally flip off the Capitol Building in person and do the obligatory disinformation writer pilgrimage to the Pizzagate restaurant.

01. first things first, i am aware that a lot of people haven’t seen crazy fun town. i highly recommend it. it’ll make you laugh, it’ll make you cry, it’ll make you feel nostalgic. i digress because this will have a lot of horror aspects. a lot of the park kids died in really horrific ways. gonzo was the dj at the park in the 90s who got electrocuted going down a water slide whilst some loose, broken cords got wrapped around his foot on his way down. a lot of depressing topics will be mentioned considering gonzo had died suddenly and he's almost decayed to nothing due to his memory nearly being forgotten.

born on christmas day in 2003 in seoul to two young parents, who were still in college at the time of duri's birth.

this meant that he spent a lot of time with his family members, like grandparents, and that of the such. duri became really family oriented from a young age because of this - he's always been pretty close to his family.

duri's parents kept going back and forth on names that they wanted to name duri at the time, and it was taking them a bit. however, when aeji's friends had visited her in the hospital to see the baby, they made mention of him being the perfect combination of the both of them. so, her friends suggested naming him duri (두리) meaning two. these friends still check in on duri from time to time, and he's friends with their kids, even though he is older.

when duri is four, his parents get their dream jobs, and they're finally able to live in a better apartment, and they kind of move to more of a fancy apartment, thanks to the jobs the two took on.

CAR ACCIDENT TW, PARENTAL DEATH TW // however, life took a turn for the worst when duri is six years old, and a car accident occurs, with him in the back seat. both of his parents pass from the accident, leaving duri the sole survivor, being pulled from the accident by bystanders. // END TW.

INJURY TW // he injured his leg pretty badly in the accident, causing him to be in a cast. later having to get physical therapy to get it back to the proper leg! he tends to suffer from a pain flare up in his right leg every now and then, but he usually just pushes through it - tending to hide it from those around him in someway because he doesn't want them to worry // END TW.

his uncle, hojoon, and his aunt, mihi, take over guardianship of duri. his uncle and aunt own a café, living in the two floor apartment above their successful café, in hongdae, mapo-gu, seoul.

PTSD, GRIEF TW // duri developed ptsd from the car accident, causing him these intense nightmares every now and then. sometimes even the sounds of smashing glass would cause him to have a ptsd episode. he would ultimately end up going to a therapist and grief counselor to help him. sometimes, he still struggles with his mental health and nightmares, but it's under control. // END TW.

other health is duri having an alcohol allergy. meaning he tends to have a terrible time with most foods, but will tend to pop allergy medication when he wants tteokbokki.

at some point, duri got really into music and singing. he would often sing a lot, run around singing, sing to himself, and all that type of stuff. his uncle and aunt picked up on it, but it wasn't until duri came to them that they put effort into getting him into music classes, most importantly vocal classes to really help him cultivate the vocals he was truly blessed with.

always did really well in school, got high marks. was often the class president/class representative because he was friends with everyone. a lot of people would tend to use that to their advantage though.

definitely got picked on too, though, due to being "so happy" and "so nice" all the time. also because sometimes he wouldn't eat in the cafeteria and would find somewhere to eat himself when his mental health would be making him feel kinda overwhelmed. this is something that he'll still do and that's probably when you know duri isn't feeling the best.

spent a lot of his time doing vocal classes and things of that nature, he never attended an after school academy - instead, he taught academics to himself in some kind of way. kind of just studied really hard, just so he didn't need it.

won a lot of talent/singing shows around seoul as a teenager, became rather known in that circle, especially for his voice.

he went on a variety show as a teenager as well, a singing show (think something like fantastic duo, the sistar episode lives in my head), that gathered himself some attention.

after the talent/singing shows and that variety show, he would often get casted by talent scouts. but, he always thought he was being scammed so he turned them down.

he has a youtube channel that he tends to upload to every now and then, maybe you could call him a youtuber, duri might not. but, he tends to upload song covers to that channel, as well as some of the vocal/talent competitions he's taken part of around seoul. check out duri's record shop on youtube!

he's known for his beastly vocals.

he really loves to sing, essentially does it pretty often, and is known to sing to himself whenever he's doing a task.

he attended yonsei university for like six months, but it just wasn't for him at all, so he ended up dropping out.

as a teenager, he gained two certifications - one in vocal training, as he got super into it throughout all the years that he's been in vocal classes himself and really studied, so he took the test! also attended barista school at night and got his certification in that, simply so he can help out at his uncle and aunt's café.

currently, duri works as a barista at his uncle and aunt's café! this is temporary, simply because he's trying to chase his dreams of becoming an idol. he uploads to his youtube channel every now and again, as well, especially because he has some more time.

duri can easily be described as bright, bubbly, happy, and sweet in a way; he's almost sickly sweet, bright, bubbly, and happy. he challenges the sun in that way and it's like sunshine follows behind him when he walks.

tends to hide his sadness and gloom because it's something that he feels from time to time, thanks to his mental health; but, he never wants to burden anyone with it, so he kind of just buries it in someway. perhaps, there's someway that you're able to tell that he's sad when you're close to him, but otherwise, he hides it.

there's not one mean bone in his body; who knows how that's possible, but duri doesn't know what that means!

i've always said if duri wasn't smart, he'd definitely be a himbo. he holds the himbo energy, 100%.

heart is too big for his chest really, he's someone who's also super caring and will always care about someone. tends to put others' before himself.

he can usually be seen with a big smile upon his lips. he's truly just always smiling.

honestly he's kind of just like a puppy, he's a soft boy in a harsh world, kind of scared of the world sometimes. he's a really big dreamer, believes in the stars, very into y2k stuff (lots of his wardrobe is y2k inspired.) likes big sweaters. really likes books, has a collection of books. loves plushies, has a collection of those as well. big foodie, big on cooking as well. can make a mean latte. he really likes "cozy" video games, such as stardew valley, animal crossing, disney dreamlight valley, house flipper, you see the theme!

he's not a big fan of cars or small spaces. elevators are something he's not a fan of, but he takes them because he usually just has to. at this point, duri just closes his eyes, stands in the back, and sings quietly to himself, pretending he was somewhere else. keeps his eyes closed until he's off the elevator - it's honestly a sight to see.

duri lives in the apartment next to his uncle's and aunt's apartment that's above the café, just so he has his own space and they thought it would be good to give duri his own space, esp so he can hang out with friends and such in his apartment. duri is still often in their apartment because he tends to cook dinner for them. half the time he's not entirely sure what to do with his own space, but you know.

he's very big, super gay! just very very gay, and we love that for him.

he's a big, big fan of cherish and nana. has definitely gone to a few different cherish and nana concerts over the year. also really likes ri5e/ris3, lightspeed, starlie, and a.maze.

really hopes he gets the chance to be a trainee and debut as an idol (main vocalist), it's his biggest dream and he's working really hard towards it! ♡

a modern verse for kurama —— or more accurately: minamino shuichi. ** note that this verse will constantly have additions and alterations made as i continue to rewatch and reread yyh, as well as when i get new ideas since this will be a primary verse for kurama ** before reading this post, it might be good to read this post first. while it's heavily connected to yyh, it does go over kitsune lore, references kurama's true age, and other details that are pertinent here

name: kurama or yoko kurama, king of thieves, king of bandits alias: currently minamino shuichi species: (kitsune) yokai posing as human*

* this is still what kurama describes as a merger — he has not possessed the human fetus he stole away into but literally overtook it. he is as much that human body as it is him.

human age: currently 19 yokai age: 5,000 (presumed over 5,000) birthday: march 03 (shuichi) -> this is the fanon birthday that the japanese fanbase celebrates for kurama

profession: flower shop worker, formerly an employee of his stepfather's small business — despite being a top honor student, he did not pursue going to college or any other form of higher education

what about his mother? stepfather? step-brother? — his mother (shiori) still gets sick, but miraculously recovers with special herbs and remedies grown by kurama himself. it nearly cost them both their lives. she still gets remarried, he still gains a step-brother (also named shuichi), and still ends up (temporarily, in this instance) working for his stepfather. they live in a large, comfortable house. his mother works at his stepfather's company.

what about hiei, yusuke, and the others? — he has no affiliation with urameshi yusuke or kuwabara kazuma. he was an upperclassman, went to a different school, and overall? they avoided each other, running with different social circles, and having different goals. whether yusuke is even alive is questionable. as for hiei, they know each other, or at least it's hinted that kurama has a demon affiliation in the human world. what hiei is up to him is up to him. overall? they do not come up much in kurama's modern verse, unfortunately.

what are his goals? his original goal was to regain his power, and leave his "mother" (and the original "father", who was alive at the time) at the age of 10, but found he could not after his shirori risked her life for him when he was roughly "9". (this portion of his backstory is also in that linked post above) now? he seeks to live a simple human existence, battling with his two identities, and blend into human society. as he grows older in the human realm, his powers as a yokai only grow stronger, more unstable. he is still deciding if he should leave his family, trying to gauge a point where they "no longer need" him.

cont. a lot of kurama's powers (the rose whip, the use of plants as weapons, his healing abilities) are still present in this verse. the skills he has in yyh are directly reflected into this modern verse.

as for the demon world ... there is no demon world, but there is (usually) a spirit world. humans and demons live in the same plane of existence, or this adapts per thread.

regarding kitsune lore, i am still following what i do in his yyh verse. it's based a lot off various kitsun mythos, but ultimately abides by togashi's (loose) interpretation(s).

to start, there is no humanoid yoko form in this verse. his only yokai form is that of a kitsune, the fox we see in the manga and anime. he cannot seem to revert back to his kitsune form.

in this interpretation, following yyh, he started as a fox (of sorts?), became a kitsune (sometimes called a demon), and earned his silver coloring and subsequently his four tails (gaining one every thousand years). he was a thief fox who specialized in breaking seals and codes, picking locks, and stealing treasures and artifacts.

what happened to yoko? similarly to yyh, he was accosted by a hunter who overwhelmed him, almost killing him, before he "merged" with the fetus of shiori.

what is he doing now? living with his family and running a flower shop that he intends to buy.

PTSD, GRIEF TW // namu developed ptsd from the car accident, causing him these intense nightmares every now and then. sometimes even the sounds of smashing glass would cause him to have a ptsd episode. he would ultimately end up going to a therapist and grief counselor to help him. sometimes, he still struggles with his mental health and nightmares, but it's under control. // END TW.

other health is namu having an alcohol allergy. meaning he tends to have a terrible time with most foods, but will tend to pop allergy medication when he wants tteokbokki.

at some point, namu got really into music and singing. he would often sing a lot, run around singing, sing to himself, and all that type of stuff. his uncle and aunt picked up on it, but it wasn't until namu came to them that they put effort into getting him into music classes, most importantly vocal classes to really help him cultivate the vocals he was truly blessed with.

always did really well in school, got high marks. was often the class president/class representative because he was friends with everyone. a lot of people would tend to use that to their advantage though.

definitely got picked on too, though, due to being "so happy" and "so nice" all the time. also because sometimes he wouldn't eat in the cafeteria and would find somewhere to eat himself when his mental health would be making him feel kinda overwhelmed. this is something that he'll still do and that's probably when you know namu isn't feeling the best.

spent a lot of his time doing vocal classes and things of that nature, he never attended an after school academy - instead, he taught academics to himself in some kind of way. kind of just studied really hard, just so he didn't need it.

won a lot of talent/singing shows around seoul as a teenager, became rather known in that circle, especially for his voice.

he went on a variety show as a teenager as well, a singing show (think something like fantastic duo, the sistar episode lives in my head), that gathered himself some attention.

after the talent/singing shows and that variety show, he would often get casted by talent scouts. but, he always thought he was being scammed so he turned them down.

he has a youtube channel that he tends to upload to every now and then, maybe you could call him a youtuber, namu might not. but, he tends to upload song covers to that channel, as well as some of the vocal/talent competitions he's taken part of around seoul. check out namu's song forest on youtube!

he's known for his beastly vocals.

he really loves to sing, essentially does it pretty often, and is known to sing to himself whenever he's doing a task.

he attended yonsei university for like six months, but it just wasn't for him at all, so he ended up dropping out.

as a teenager, he gained two certifications - one in vocal training, as he got super into it throughout all the years that he's been in vocal classes himself and really studied, so he took the test! also attended barista school at night and got his certification in that, simply so he can help out at his uncle and aunt's café.

currently, namu works as a barista at his uncle and aunt's café! this is temporary, simply because he's trying to chase his dreams of becoming an idol. he uploads to his youtube channel every now and again, as well, especially because he has some more time.

namu can easily be described as bright, bubbly, happy, and sweet in a way; he's almost sickly sweet, bright, bubbly, and happy. he challenges the sun in that way and it's like sunshine follows behind him when he walks.

tends to hide his sadness and gloom because it's something that he feels from time to time, thanks to his mental health; but, he never wants to burden anyone with it, so he kind of just buries it in someway. perhaps, there's someway that you're able to tell that he's sad when you're close to him, but otherwise, he hides it.

there's not one mean bone in his body; who knows how that's possible, but namu doesn't know what that means!

i've always said if namu wasn't smart, he'd definitely be a himbo. he holds the himbo energy, 100%.

heart is too big for his chest really, he's someone who's also super caring and will always care about someone. tends to put others' before himself.

he can usually be seen with a big smile upon his lips. he's truly just always smiling.

honestly he's kind of just like a puppy, he's a soft boy in a harsh world, kind of scared of the world sometimes. he's a really big dreamer, believes in the stars, very into y2k stuff (lots of his wardrobe is y2k inspired.) likes big sweaters. really likes books, has a collection of books. loves plushies, has a collection of those as well. big foodie, big on cooking as well. can make a mean latte. he really likes "cozy" video games, such as stardew valley, animal crossing, disney dreamlight valley, house flipper, you see the theme!

he's not a big fan of cars or small spaces. elevators are something he's not a fan of, but he takes them because he usually just has to. at this point, namu just closes his eyes, stands in the back, and sings quietly to himself, pretending he was somewhere else. keeps his eyes closed until he's off the elevator - it's honestly a sight to see.

he's very big, super gay! just very very gay, and we love that for him.

he's a big, big fan of cherish and nana. has definitely gone to a few different cherish and nana concerts over the year. also really likes ri5e/ris3, lightspeed, starlie, and a.maze.

really hopes he gets the chance to be a trainee and debut as an idol (main vocalist), it's his biggest dream and he's working really hard towards it! ♡
