The Monty's weren't too bad actually except for one of them so it was more about giving them more character than anything else.

How do I become a man

there is a man in your head. you desperately want to be him. he is probably not a specific person, he is more of a concept.

the first thing you're going to do is take his hands, or maybe hug him, or maybe stand at an awkward distance wanting to hug him like men do and you're going to say "thank you for letting me know something was wrong. thank you for showing me that what everyone wanted me to be wasn't the right fit. thank you for teaching me that there is a happiness i can find and what it looks like."

the second thing you're going to do is kill him, maybe as quickly as possible and maybe with painstaking care and maybe by using claws and teeth to put all of your hurt into him. and you must do this before you try to become him. because he is more of a concept, and you are a specific person.

i am not the best person to ask this question of. i am not a man. i am a guy, i am a dog, i am a thing, i am. i have divested myself of the responsibility to be what polite society considers a man, because the idea, broadly, of a man is not me and trying to become that idea will not make me more me. and this advice comes mostly from that very biased experience.

the "a man" you want to become is impersonal, and it is an ideal that will never be satisfied because you have likely built walls around the concept of manhood that fundamentally exclude yourself.

better questions are "what will make me happy" and "how do i become myself."

if you are asking me this you are presumably a man, and you will become a man by becoming yourself.

Here's a digging bolt wand I used to kill a powered-up Toveri.

Spell by spell breakdown:

Double Spell draws 2 spells to the outer cast state.

reduce spread makes the outer cast state more accurate and draws 1.

The Spark Bolt Trigger creates a new inner cast state and draws 1.

Each Add-Mana spell adds 30 mana to the wand and draws 1.

The Divide by 2 spell draws 1 and makes the following spell happen two additional times.

The Divide by 3 spell draws 1 and casts the following spell happen three additional times.

Critical on Water adds 100% crit chance and draws 1. Both of these effects happen 6 times from the divide by spells, and an additional time due to the spell itself for a total of 700% crit chance and 7 draw (as if it were a multicast spell).

Triple Spell draws 3.

Seven Digging Bolts, each having a base of 8 drill-type damage.

Material Water since it belongs to the same cast state as the Critical On Water spells it grants 700% crit to all other projectiles in the cast state. Which has the effect of multiplying their damage by 35. This is also the last spell in the inner cast state.

Finally we have a chainsaw, which sets the cast-delay to 0 so that the wand can cast again on the very next gametick. This chainsaw was drawn by the Double Spell at the very start of the wand.

Lastly, a Light spell draws 1, which since there are no more spells after it, causes the wand to wrap, casting the whole thing a 2nd time before reloading.

So, the damage from the wand is 8 drill damage times 7 spells per cast times 35 for the crit multiplier times 60 frames per second times 0.5 because Toveri has a 50% resistance to drill damage. For a grand total of 58,800 dps. Atleast by my calculations, it's possible I made a mistake somewhere. Tovari died a lot faster than I expected. Also, the wand doesn't work right if the Triple Spell is moved any later in the wand. The divide-by spells work in mysterious ways.

Just to complete my current roster (and hopefully keep it that way), I'll be adding Avita Desalvar (Nikodemus' daughter) and Daniel Perkins (superpowered musician OC I have on another blog) to my carrd soon. Just to keep things cohesive and in one place. After that I don't see many changes being made to the original muse cast anytime soon. I'll be focusing on drafts and developing the OC's I have. Then canon muses for a bit after that.

Another thing: Mains page has been updated. Nik and Avita will be affiliated with Caro's Antonin henceforth. Since I'm absolutely smitten with the plot we have going, I'm incorporating it into both their characterizations. Least of which the fact that Avita gets reborn thanks to Antonin's help. He may be mentioned in threads with either of these characters 💕

Durability Test:

Top left gif is an early game example of using explosive boxes to dig. Since they don't naturally expire they need to be detonated by some other means. Top right gif is an example of how upwards larpa interacts with explosive boxes. I don't know why it exploded. Would have been a lot of damage if I was nearby. Bottom gif shows a late-game build with nolla large explosive boxes on a sparkbolt trigger. Also note how little terrain darkening explosive boxes cause.
