Do you remember the haircut we filmed way back when, in 2014, with Nomad Barber?!  

It’s crazy how fast the years have flown by!!   Well we recently crossed paths again with Miguel, this time at his fab studio in Liverpool!  We filmed a series of videos for you, and also got to nerd out about camera equipment.

Marc Antomattei of The Gentleman's Club interviews acclaimed YouTube star HairCut Harry in his first full-length video interview.  The theme is "YouTube Success."  Something that should appeal to all video creators.

It was great having Harry talk with us, I was just leading, and even if my questions weren't so great, his answers were gold.  It was just best to let him ramble because he had nuggets of knowledge in everything he spoke.  We had lunch together this day and he spoke for an hour then (I wish that was recorded), I wrote down my questions then and asked him on camera in what you see now, unedited.  Enjoy!  Soak up everything you can from this.

A new video is coming today where I get a trim and my hair styled! Make sure your notifications are turned on so you don’t miss the new video 🛎 Dalyn Eastman opened Eastman’s Barbershop in 2016, and now works alongside his identical twin brother, Dylan. Inside the shop has a vintage western Americana look, incorporating collectibles and family heirlooms that reflect their generations working history in the community. An old cast-iron stove from a mine their grandfather worked at. Also, their great-grandfather worked as a mine safety inspector. On the wall you’ll fine his old miners hat and pick used to check the mine walls and supports. Nearby is a vintage German cuckoo clock. In the corner sits an old black and white tube TV sitting as if in a 1950s living room. The tube replaced with a flat screen behind the glass where it faithfully plays vintage TV shows on rerun (swipe left to see photos)! Dalyn says what he loves about barbering is building relationships and the transformation of customers to not only look, but feel better. Before leaving the Lone Star State, there was someone we wanted to visit... We stopped by Otto’s Barber Shop in Brenham, Texas to say hello and see how Elroy was doing. It was good to see him again and catch up  Can’t believe it’s been almost 5 years since we met and filmed with Elroy! I visited the shop without calling ahead of time and surprised him! When I saw Elroy, he was excited to tell me about his video almost having 1 Million views!!  There was a customer in the shop getting a haircut, and he had heard all about Elroy’s video on YouTube Unfortunately, Elroy had some health issues over the past few years. He had a heart attack and needed a pacemaker. But I do want people to come in here and feel like they had a different experience for the whole day.”  -Calen Koenig⁠⁠Recently, we had the pleasure of visiting Calen Electric Barbering  in Williams, Arizona!  

Calen grew up in the small town of Williams but moved away to Portland for ten years before returning to his hometown.  In 2019, he opened his barbershop – a place for the community to enjoy.⁠⁠

Back by popular request and after months without a barbershop open, Harry gets the perfect haircut and face massage with America's most polite barber!  Harry's neglected hair is professionally cleaned up by Matthew Gallegos of Matt's Barber Parlor (previously 

The House of Shave Barber Parlor) in Phoenix. It has been six years since we filmed with Matt in Phoenix, Arizona.  A lot has changed since we filmed with America's most polite barber!  Matt changed the name of the shop, has had visitors come from around the world, told us why he is not on social media, and talks about reading the comments on his videos.

Haircut in the historic 성우이용원 Seongu Barbershop in Seoul, South Korea.

In 1927, Mr. Lee’s grandfather opened the barbershop.  At that time, he was the second Korean who was given a permit for barbering by the occupying Japanese.  It was in the 1960s when Mr. Lee began cutting hair.  He worked with his dad all the way up until the 1970s when his dad decided to retire

We stopped by the shop to film on a weekday afternoon thinking perhaps it might be quieter during a weekday as opposed to the weekend.  We found Mr. Lee had a regular stream of customers coming by the shop so when it was our turn, I hopped into the chair and the camera started to roll!

Mr. Lee is a little over 5’ tall so uses a footstool to stand on while working on his customers.  You’ll also see him using potato starch in my hair as a visual aid.

Several of you have asked if we enjoyed our visit to Korea. It was our first time visiting and we totally loved it 😍 Our very first stop was Seoul. The city was so easy to get around. We took public transportation everywhere! Enjoyed the Korean coffee culture as well ☕️ Cafes and coffee shops are on every corner. One afternoon we spent walking around Ihwa Mural Village. It was an old impoverished neighborhood where the city implemented a mural project in 2006 to encourage revitalization. Since then it has become a very popular spot with visitors and tourists.
