Þvörusleikir!🥄
His name means “spoon licker”, he’s the fourth Yule lad who arrives on December 15th and leaves December 28th.
His main mischief is as his name suggests, stealing spoons and licking whatever is left on them. However this makes him thin and malnourished, and unlike Stúfur, he’s a tall boy.

Þvörusleikir must be one of the lesser ones for sure, he's after the mega star Stúfur, he's not so obscene that people talk about him. He's just some guy who licks spoons, who doesn't? Unremarkable.

More thievery! Jail for Loki!
The fourth Lad is Þvörusleikir (Spoon-Licker)! He steals and licks wooden spoons🥄 He is also said to be extremely thin due to malnutrition, but I didn't use that here. A þvörur is a long wooden spoon btw.
I was going to draw Loki with the usual haircut but I decided to go with the God Of Stories one This one looks a bit derpier than the rest but you should love him anyway. Or hate him. Have fun idk
Loki's outfit is inspired by the one of Brian Pilkington's illustration!

Not sure how the trolls are getting into my house, maybe the chimney?Þvörusleikir or Spoon-Licker is the fourth Yule Lad who comes to town on the night before the 15th of December and departs for home on the 28th of December. Spoon-Licker was known for being tall, thin, and for stealing long wooden spoons to lick them, hoping to taste something sweet. So I am going to have to do all the dishes tomorrow and count the silverware because of this creep.

I'm making soup, and sit down, I don't have a spoon. I go back and look to the tin where I left it, it's not there. nothing. I look right to microwave, nothing. I look left to the sink, nothing. When I look back at the tin, the spoon has returned. You ain't slick Þvörusleikir, I know you're here.

The Yule Lads are depicted as long bearded old trolls who are known for their pranks and are the thirteen sons of Grýla and her husband, Leppalúði. Each of the Yule Lads specializes in their own specific prank. Stekkjarstaur means “Sheep-Cote Clod” and he has peg legs and harasses sheep and he comes on December 12th and stays till December 25th. Giljagaur means “Gully Gawk” and he hides in gullies and waits for an opportunity to steal cows milk and he comes on December 13th and leaves December 26th. Stúfur means “Stubby” and he is the shortest of the thirteenth children and he steals pans and eats the crust left on them and he comes December 14th and leaves December 27th. Þvörusleikir means “ Spoon-Licker” and he sneaks into houses and licks spoons and he is very thin due to not eating properly and he comes on December 15th and leaves on December 28th. Pottaskefill means “Pot-Scraper” and he steals leftover food from pots and he comes on December 16th and leaves on 29th. Askasleikir means “Bowl-Licker” and he hides under people’s beds and steals their bowls and he comes on December 17th and leaves December 30th. Hurðaskellir means “Door-Slammer” and he slams people’s doors and wakes them up at night and he comes on December 18th and leaves on December 31st. Yule-lads
The Yule Lads (sometimes named Yuletide-lads or Yulemen) are the sons of Gryla and Leppaludi. They are a group of 13 mischievous pranksters who steal from or otherwise harass the population and all have descriptive names that generally convey their favorite way causing mischief. They arrive one by one over the final 13 nights leading up to Christmas (Yule). They leave small gifts in shoes that children place on window sills, but if the child has been disobedient they leave a potato in the shoe instead. In modern times the Yule Lads have also been depicted in a more benevolent role comparable to Santa Claus and other related figures. They are generally portrayed wearing late-medieval Icelandic clothing, but are sometimes shown in the costume traditionally worn by Santa Claus, especially at children's events.
List of Yule Lads The Yule Lads arrive over the course of the last 13 nights before Christmas, beginning 12 December. One then departs each day, beginning on Christmas Day, in the order that they arrived; thus each of them stays for 13 days. Below are the canonical 13 Yule Lads in the order they arrive (and depart): Stekkjarstaur Sheep-Cote Clod Harasses sheep, but is impaired by his stiff peg-legs. 12 December 25 December Giljagaur Gully Gawk Hides in gullies, waiting for an opportunity to sneak into the cowshed and steal milk. 13 December 26 December Stúfur Stubby Abnormally short. Steals pans to eat the crust left on them. 14 December 27 December Þvörusleikir Spoon-Licker Steals and licks wooden spoons. Is extremely thin due to malnutrition. 15 December 28 December Pottaskefill Pot-Scraper Steals leftovers from pots. 16 December 29 December Askasleikir Bowl-Licker Hides under beds waiting for someone to put down their "askur" (a type of bowl with a lid used instead of dishes), which he then steals. 17 December 30 December Hurðaskellir Door-Slammer Likes to slam doors, especially during the night, waking people up. 18 December 31 December Skyrgámur Skyr-Gobbler Has a great affinity for skyr (similar to yogurt). 19 December 1 January Bjúgnakrækir Sausage-Swiper Hides in the rafters and snatches sausages that are being smoked. 20 December 2 January Gluggagægir Window-Peeper A snoop who looks through windows in search of things to steal. 21 December 3 January Gáttaþefur Doorway-Sniffer Has an abnormally large nose and an acute sense of smell which he uses to locate leaf bread (laufabrauð). 22 December 4 January Ketkrókur Meat-Hook Uses a hook to steal meat. 23 December 5 January Kertasníkir Candle-Stealer Follows children in order to steal their candles (which were once made of tallow and thus edible). 24 December 6 January

YULE LAD STARTERS
Inspired by the Icelandic folklore of Gryla and the Yule Lads
Send a number to catch my muse in one of these situations, or send [YULE LAD] and I’ll generate a number for my muse to react to yours doing one of the following

By the way, if you do enough research you can actually identify some of the specific Yule Lads based on little details. Like the tall one who carries a hook is Ketkrokur, who steals meat using a hook. The yellow one who sometimes carries a spoon is Þvörusleikir the spoon-licker. The teal one who plays with sausages is Bjúgnakrækir the sausage swiper, and so on. That’s some attention to detail.
Gryla really out her enslaving kids who like.... do basically nothing, huh.
#The details the crew puts into their stuff is great#I'm definitely learning a lot of great stuff from it#Ask#Anon#Question Mandar#Hilda

Þvörusleikir
Send a number to catch my muse in one of these situations, or send [YULE LAD] and I’ll generate a number for my muse to react to yours doing one of the following
(Þvörusleikir) Catch my muse licking a wooden spoon
Loki’s curled up in the modest kitchens of New Asgard’s wood-thatched royal dwelling, clad in his casual palace attire--that which lacks the vast network of gold-plated metal armor. Curled up, a contented feline, on a rickety stool, dipping a serving spoon into the bubbling vat of dopp i gryta, then lapping up the dill-roasted gravy. His tongue’s doing impressive acrobatics with the head of the spoon and he’s humming in quiet delight, when his eyes wander to his wife.
He yelps and drops the spoon.
“Ah, eheh, blast.”
“Twas only a little, my love,” he hastens to reassure her; since this colony was forged, social hierarchy has become fuzzy and decentralized, such that a highborn lady such as Sigyn Iwaldidottir might find herself preparing the gravy for the Yule roast. “And a triumph, I might add,” he butters her up. “ . . . shall I let you try one of my spiced crab apples?”

HEADCANON/INFO DUMP BECAUSE I’M BORED
Santa Claus is not a person but a title that has been passed down from generation to generation.
His father, Christopher Kringle, had an affair with Grýla. A giantess with the legs of a goat who lives in the mountains and eats naughty children at Christmas. At the time she was in human form, and when she revealed herself Christopher returned to his home in Lapland.
Grýla gave birth to Krampus in the snow. He was half man and had the legs of a goat just like her.
Christopher already had a son, and heir to the Claus name - Nicholas. There are 50 years between the half brothers.
Some 90 years after Krampus’ birth, Grýla married a troll named Leppalúði and together they had 13 children, collectively known as The Yule Lads: Sheep (Stekkjarstaur), Ruprecht (Skyrgámur), Gul (Giljagaur), Potts (Pottaskefill), Stubs ( Stúfur), twins Skel and Pefur (Hurðaskellir & Gáttaþefur), Bug (Bjúgnakrækir), Aska (Askasleikir), The Hook (Ketkrókur), Glug (Gluggagægir), Sleikir (Þvörusleikir), Shadow (ertasníkir). All except Stubs work with Krampus as his dark elves.
He has his favorite toys that help him cause havoc on Christmas Eve, these toys are his babies, he made them himself, he will rip your head off if you harm them in any way.
Krampus, like Santa, has magic. He uses his magic for darker purposes (though occasionally he might just magic up some candy).
He doesn’t sleep like a human, but because his body is human it exhausts after a period of time. He can generally go three days without sleeping but he only needs at most 2 hours of sleep.
Krampus has adopted Samhain, the spirit of Halloween, as his son. They’re both lawful evils, they strive to preserve the traditions of their respective holidays.
My favorite headcanon of all of them is that Krampus wears steel on the heels of his boots because he misses the way his hooves sound.
He jingles when he moves. Bells and chains can be heard when he does, sometimes it’s very faint.
Instead of beech branches now he uses a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire, that he ironically named Mrs. Claus.
