"I wasn't really sure what to make out of here, whenever I'd read about it." Kanon responded flatly, as he clearly still had a long way ahead of him, until he fully adjusted to his new reality. There wasn't any way he would be able to leave it, even if he wished to.

He wore a white robe, it didn't cover his entire body, but that was the usual kind of outfit around here. His gaze was fixated upon the God's body. So that was his true form after all.

"You don't seem to be all that bothered, for losing to Athena and her bronze saints." He paused, while sitting down by the lake's shore. "You also don't look too different from back when, we'd meet on Earth."

The weather is always perfect on the Elysian fields, not too hot nor too cold. Yet Hades decided it was a good time to visit a private lake behind the palace. The constant flow of water was a blessing, as if washing away all the little concerns he has.

The God has both eyes closed as he is sitting on the edge of the lake, with the entire body underwater, the long black hair is tied up in a bun, and he remains like that at the approach of the Saint. His cosmo was familiar enough so Hades didn't feel threatened.

Gold Saints skin complexion headcanons

In Anime, the characters all have more or less the same skin color, with the exception of course brown- and black-skinned people. Frankly, skin color mostly isn't portrayed correctly (which is understandable, it would be very difficult in many cases). If there are differences, they are minute. So, while writing a fanfiction, I thought to myself, why not whip up this fun little list, where I have all my headcanons about what skin-color the Gold Saints actually have, like what it ought to be according to their ethnicities. What headcanons do you have about that? ;) Do they maybe coincide with mine? Also, I would love to do a Lost Canvas version, but it is most likely going to be the exact same list. I might try it, but I'll only post it if there are sufficient differences to this list here. Until then, everything I wrote here counts for the LC Goldies as well.

Now on to the list. Have fun!

Mu: A beautiful honey-colored complexion, a tiny bit, but really only a tad bit on the darkish side of the color.

Aldebaran: A nice, good latino complexion. A bit darker than Shura's. Him having grown up under both the suns of Brazil and Greece helped it too. Otherwise it might have stayed on the lighter side.

Saga/Kanon: A slight bronze complexion, lighter than one would think from the Greek sun. Their skins just never took to a dark tan.

Deathmask: A normal, white complexion with a bit of a tan, since he is from Italy and has grown up in Greece.

Aiolia: A good bronze complexion, same as Aiolos's. Because he spent so much time beneath the Greek sun and also a bit because of genes.

Shaka: A very exotic complexion. A very, very light brown, reminding of coffee with a lot, a big lot of milk in it. Because one of his parents was Indian, but the other white.

Dohko: A deep honey-colored complexion, a bit darker than Mu's, but not much. There's nothing else to it other than just that he's Chinese. No other reason.

Milo: A bronze complexion that is darker then the Geminis' but lighter than Aiolos's. He too has spent a lot of time in the sun, which helped him get a very nice bronze skin.

Aiolos: A beautiful, deep and healthy bronze complexion. Because he spent so much time beneath the Greek sun, and also partly because of genes.

Shura: A brownish, latino complexion, though a bit on the lighter side. That's because of him being Spanish and having lived his life in warm climates with lots of sun.

Camus: Very pale. His skin could be compared to ivory. But it doesn't look ghostly or unhealthy. That's partly because he's European (meaning he's white, but with a skin that doesn't tan) and partly because of his ice powers as well as the amount of time he spent in Siberia.

Aphrodite: Pale, but not as pale as Camus. Just on the lighter side of white skin. Which is of course due to his Scandinavian origins. Because of that, his skin isn't one to really tan. Even under the Greek sun.

@eternalstarlights has sent: Kannon is asleep and he is having a surreal dream. He looked to his brother but instead he sees his brother’s head is on top of Shion’s body. Then, his brother started to speak and Poseidon’s voice came out of his brother’s mouth. “Brother, I won an award for best dance! Do you want to see my dance?”

Suddenly, his brother starts break dancing along with some weird music and a group of animated objects starts dancing beside his brother. The animated objects started singing to Kanon, “Join us, join us!~” Then, Kanon wakes up. [April Fool’s prank from Phantasos]

Perhaps, he shouldn't have tried to delve deeper on his studies related to myths. Or better yet, he shouldn't mix alcohol while being deeply enthralled by what he spent his night reading. Because now, he woke up to a crushing headache, while he still could only vaguely remember what took place in his sleep.

Dreams were fairly uncommon to him most of the time. But whenever they did happen, it seemed like his mind never failed to leave him regretting it.

A pained groan left him, as the silly image of his twin breaking into a dance like that, now plagued his mind. He had a gut feeling that wouldn't forget about it, as quickly as he wished to. All he could hope for is that the other marinas would know better, than try to look into his mind.

The first ship you hated and why: Seto Kaiba x Joey Wheeler / Katsuya Jonouchi (Puppyshipping). For me they were like ice and fire. They hated each other and they just had no chemistry. What made the couple even more unsympathetic to me was the fact that Seto never treated Joey really well and that the shipping name is based on the word "mutt / dog", as Seto calls him. Kaeya wouldn´t go out with an Fatui, who are indirectly responsible for the fact that Diluc's father Crepus died. Above all, he would get Diluc's displeasure, because he hates Fatui and Diluc is clearly very important to Kaeya. To make it short. The ship doesn´t make sense to me. Your BROTP: Jean x Marco from Attack on Titan.... The ship that stuck in your mind forever (Your OTP): Rhadamanthys no Wyvern x Kanon no Gemini (RhadaKano) from the Saint Seiya series. Rosiel x Katan from Angel Sanctuary. Witch ship shouldn´t have to be canon and why: Naruto Uzumaki x Hinata Hyuga / Uzumaki (NaruHina) from the Naruto Series. Sasuke Uchiha x Sakura Haruno / Uchiha from the Naruto Series. And that SemiCanon-Ship from Attack on Titan, Eren Jäger x Mikasa Ackerman (EreMika). All ships seems unhealthy to me, doesn´t make sence to me and contribute to a story- and charactercrippling. All seems to be developed, just to sell the manga as best as possible. Witch ship should have be canon and why: Eren Jäger x Historia Reiss (EreHisu) from Attack on Titan, Neji Hyuga x Hinata Hyuga (NejiHina) from Naruto and Shikamaru Nara x Ino Yamanaka from Naruto. All are healthy and based ships. Witch character you don´t want to see shipped with anyone in the series and why: Kimimaro Kaguya from Naruto and Hao /Zeke Asakura from Shaman King. I can't imagine a couple with any other character from the series for either of them. I only ship both with my OC. Gold Saints Job AU Ideas Part 1

Soooo, because I think many others are doing something similar to this and because I literally no other reason to other than ‘I just wanna have fun’, I figured I’d share my ideas as to what the Gold Saints might have as a job because whatever their reason is. Also, this is gonna be another long post, so fair warning, it’s gonna be two parts.

Capricorn Shura

Fencing Instructor- Shura with his connection to swords and being strong yet graceful, I could totally see him as a teacher for fencing; I can just imagine him in proper fencing attire already.

Spanish Teacher- Yep, really original with this one. Shura might be interested in something that deals with his homeland, so I can also see Shura teaching others about the history and language of Spain; I imagine him wearing his glasses while doing this job.

Aquarius Camus

Ski and/or Ice Stake Instructor- Because both have to do with the cold and because both have to do with skill, precision and a touch of grace, Camus would possibly take those as jobs; Also I like the idea of him in ice stakes, pls don’t judge.

French Teacher- Because yeah, if I’m gonna have one of Shura’s jobs as a Spanish teacher, you better be damned if I didn’t have Camus as a French teacher. I also think Camus would take the job as an opportunity to share to others about his culture, so I think it fits; I imagine him teaching while wearing a plaid scarf for some reason? IDFK.

Gemini Saga & Kanon

Saga

Astronomy Teacher- I mean, why not? If his attack deals with plants colliding and what not, it would stand to reason that he would be a teacher in astronomy; Plus we get Professor Saga, so win win.

Mythology Teacher- Other than yea, he works for a Greek goddess, why not, this job might also benefit him because he’ll not only have to know about the Greek and Roman stuff, but also other mythologies as well.

Kanon

Marine Biology Instructor- Kanon must have spent a long time near the oceans, so this job might be an easy fit for him; Plus he could use it to his benefit if Poseidon posses a threat again. Also, he would most likely look damn fine in a wet suit.

Beach Lifeguard- Another ocean related job! Other than being able to save someone because being the other Gemini Saint also requires you to save people, his job is basically like a vacation of sorts so, other than saving people, he can just sit down and relax until his shift’s done; Plus Lifeguard Kanon, imagine the possibilities.

Cancer Deathmask

Coroner and/or Embalmer- Both deal with death and that’s basically Deathmask’s thing, so he would probably take up these jobs if interested. I mean who else would do a better job dealing with the dead than someone who’s literally been at the entrance to the underworld?

Bartender- Dude already drinks like a fish, so why not give him a job that could make others drink just as much? Besides probably already knowing all the ways to serve a drink, Deathmask might also do well with Italian liquor as well; I think a bartender uniform will go great with his goatee.

Pisces Aphrodite

Botanist and/or Toxicologist- HA! YOU PROBABLY THOUGHT I WAS GONNA MAKE HIM A FLORIST, DIDN’T CHA? I think Aphrodite would work well in either field because both fit well with his character; Botanist study plants (Aphro’s ability with plant life) and Toxicologist study poisons (Royal Demon Rose, hello?). Plus it would probably make him more kickass in the long run.

Café Barista- Despite seeming like someone who wouldn’t even go to a coffeehouse, I think Aphrodite would be very interested at working in like a local café making coffee for other people to enjoy. Who knows? He might even get free coffee as one of the benefits.

Alright, can you rank which modern Golds are often portrayed closest to their canon parts in fan fiction and which are practically fanon (even if we love it).

I sure can! Keep in mind this is my personal experience, so people might have read different stuff than me. If you see something you feel like it’s wrong, it’s probably because we have different sources.  I mostly rely on English and Italian fan fiction. I started reading something in Spanish and Portuguese, but my understanding of the language is not smooth. 

I’m going to use a scale from 1 (least accurate) to 10 (most accurate), and then write my explanation. 

Mu 5/10 He’s mostly depicted as calm, collected and gentle in any situation, with no regards toward his actual somewhat “aggressive” nature in combat. Mu is not Shun, he’s not that diplomatic and he’s not that kind with everyone. Though, I’ve seen a fair share of works in which Mu is considered a gentle man with a tough attitude, so it’s fine. 

Aldebaran 10/10 As far as I know, Aldebaran is very well depicted in the works he appears in. It might be because there’s already not that much information to use for him, because unfortunately Aldebaran doesn’t get the same amount of attention of other characters, but his personality is almost always spot on and even when it’s not, it’s still compatible with his canon version. 

Saga 4/10 I read too much stuff of pre-Ares Saga that completely ignores the fact he was really gentle and kind. Most people use his aggressive and demanding personality when it’s not the case to do so, especially if he’s written as part of the pairing Aiolos x Saga. And then, the works that depict him after the entire ordeal with Ares still have him as somewhat evil and ready to betray. I know the Hades Chapter has a good influence on that, but Saga himself is not evil. Some authors, though, handle this character really well, so he still gets his justice. 

Kanon 7/10 While he gets a lot better treatment than Saga, I still come across works with him as the Gemini Saint still depicted as inherently malevolent, in some ways. I love what people do with him as the Sea Dragon, it’s almost always perfect how they capture this character, but there are some hiccups here and there with his Gemini self.

Deathmask 10/10 Deathmask is a character that can change depending on what major source it’s used to describe him, but I’ve never seen (aside from ooc representations) wrong depiction of him. People are really amazing at describing him as a heartless bastard (thus using the classic as inspiration) or as a man that has evolved and got his redemption (thus using Hades and/or Soul of Gold as inspiration). To this day I’ve never really seen his canon self being distorted.

Aiolia 8/10 He is amazingly close to the canon counterpart in fan fiction, but sometimes people tend to focus too much on the fact that he has to be brave and strong all the time. We had Aiolia prey of his own emotions in canon, so why going this heavy-handed only on one side of his personality? Rarely I’ve seen Aiolia described in his worst, like when he was grieving and angry. A couple works I’ve read perfectly summed up Aiolia using the entirety of his emotion range, and it was one of the best representations I’ve seen of him. 

Shaka 9/10 I feel like people actually got what Shaka’s character is. Sometimes there’s something that goes too far into the fanon side of the things, but it’s not that prominent in the community so I’ll let it slide more than I’d normally do. I like that people take into account his emotions without using them too much, and I like that people never forget how powerful he is or how messed up his early life was. The only thing I don’t like is how easily some authors make him get close to another person, with no second guesses or thinking, because canon Shaka is not that close to his companions. I made that mistake myself, after all, so I count in the list of those people. Most of the times I’m only disappointed when it’s clearly an ooc situation, and those don’t count because it’s intentional. 

Dohko 10/10 He’s pretty spot on, if you ask me. Dohko is relatively easy to get right, because he has a good balance (ironically) of irony and wise thinking, sprinkled with a good old-fashioned fighting spirit. I’ve never seen a fan work mess this up. Dohko is probablt the most “human” fictional character I’ve seen, because he acts a lot like a real life person (paranormal stuff notwithstanding), and I think that’s something really helpful in writing him.

Milo 5/10 Milo is either a hit or a miss in fan fiction. I see so many people focusing on the wrong stuff when tackling him, like only caring about the “sexiness factor” or making him a mischievous trouble-maker. Milo is a complex character, with a proud nature and a loyal attitude towards Athena and his companions, and this side of his personality is almost never showed. It’s always him being a goofy man with an inclination for disaster, and not enough about him being an actual competent Saint with more than his looks. I read a whole lot of stuff with him, and I was pleased in a good number of works, but at the same time I was disappointed in seeing how many people don’t actually care about how Milo is presented in canon. 

Aiolos ?/10 I don’t know. Honestly, I didn’t read enough about him, and I’m conflicted. Some people depict him as an overall perfect character, others like to make him more human, and a few just have fun using Aiolos without giving him a proper personality. Though, I haven’t seen anything that made me go “no, this is wrong”, so I guess it’s a good thing. Aiolos is one of those characters that really depends on what specific vision people have of him, since canon works don’t help as much in pinpointing a set behavior. 

Shura 8/10 Aside from those works that love to put him as a helpless participant of the chain of events, he’s very well depicted. Faithful? Yeah. A bit crazy? Also yeah. I don’t like when he’s described as someone who refuses to take responsibility for his actions, because I’ve seen very bad works with him as a Saint that was forced to follow Ares so “killing was an order and nothing else”. I like when people give him awareness of his own actions, because it’s something that actually appears in canon (and most notably in Soul of Gold). 

Camus 5/10 Too many times I’ve seen him depicted as a traitor that loves to betray anything and anyone for his own amusement, and too many times people threw away the kindness hidden under the ice. This particular side of his personality only shows up in fan fiction that depict him with Milo, and in works where he’s with Hyoga as a child. Most of the time, aside from these examples, he’s always cold and heartless, or lacks personality. I might have been unlucky with what I found, but this is my experience. 

Aphrodite 1/10 Please. Aphrodite is one of the Saints that gets the worst of everything. People love so much giving him a narcissistic and self-centered view that they forget how, on the contrary, Aphrodite is not like that. I mentioned this in one of my earliest posts, but it’s easy to guess why: because he’s feminine, because he wears makeup, and because he comes off with a somewhat sensual vibe, Aphrodite is often depicted as this inherently androgynous man with a deep care for beauty.  Guys, that’s not him. That’s Misty. Misty is narcissistic and fixated with his beauty, Misty hates getting blood on himself. Aphrodite thinks power is beauty, not the opposite. He doesn’t care about spilling blood on himself. He’s cruel and he’s merciless, and he willingly betrayed Athena, willingly killed Shun’s master like nothing. Stop depicting him as this weak Saint that cannot stand an insult or a stain on his clothes.  I almost never see a good depiction of him. His canon personality almost never shows up in fiction.

The Inevitable StS Rewatch, Episode 36

One of the most truly pressing issues in Saint Seiya canon: why the fuck is Milo like this?

- I SEE THAT SAGA SENSED THAT AIOLOS WAS TAKING A BATH, SO HE FELT THE NEED TO JUMP IN TOO! and thus a meme was born

- Uhhhh, Saga? I know you probably had a crush on Aiolos at all, but... really, dude? ????????

- AND HEEEERE HEEEEE ISSSSSSSS

- Milo's ridiculous ego is on full display the second he opens his fucking mouth. No "what's going on, Pope?" or "How may I serve you?" but "WOW, POPE, FOR YOU TO SUMMON A GOLD SAINT! (DID I MENTION I'M A GOLD SAINT, BECAUSE I AM.)

- MILO. ALL HE FUCKING DID WAS ASK IF YOU KNEW ABOUT THE SITUATION. What is the need for you to add "heh, not that I care, since I'm so awesome, just so you know!" Yes, a lot of Gold Saints have pretty overinflated egos - yume and I actually thought about it, and we're pretty sure Camus is just about the ONLY one who doesn't pull some form of smug "heh, a Bronze trying to fight a Gold? lmao, and also, rofl" but Scorpio Milo is... something else.

- Ikki working for Sanctuary at first still feels really weird and ill-fitting. Well, fortunately, it's not really dwelled on that much, so it's easily ignored! That's one of the good things about there being no real Saint Seiya canon... <_<

- In a way, though, it is certainly fitting that Milo's scene here is our first proper introduction to a "Gold Saint", because Milo certainly thinks he is THE Gold Saint in a lot of ways. It drips from the way he responds to everything. "Measly Bronze Saints, they must be crazy, lol!" It's actually really interesting to think he was originally planned to be Hyouga's master. Like, in some ways that really fits - Smugswan had to get the smug and the overinflated sense of ego from somewhere, and it sure as hell wasn't Camus!

- It's also sort of interesting because Kurumada pulled the switcheroo on the basis of "oooh, ice/water themed signs, oooh!" But even at this stage, Milo definitely has a very, very different personality than Marshmallow Saint Camus. What would he and Hyouga's hypothetical encounter have looked like, really...?

- I'm not trying to imply, by the way, that Milo's sense of egotism is solely about straightforwardly boosting himself up - because it's not. It's intertwined with his perception of Saint honor and what it means to him to embody that, which becomes clear in how he deals with Camus, Hyouga, and Kanon respectively later on. It's also intertwined with a negative five thousand debuff to his intelligence stat, but, you know.

- I love Saga just sort of ignoring Milo going WHAT? A BRONZE BEATING A SILVER? RIDICULOUS, I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A THING! and continuing to exposit. Saga, why the fuck did you summon Milo of all people here to deal with this in the first place? I mean, not only would leaning on Aphrodite, Deathmask, or even Shura make infinitely more sense, but... it's fucking Milo. Did your bath-bonding with Aiolos rattle your judgment temporarily?  

- And right back at him, Milo basically brushes aside poor Saga's exposition to go "ARE YOU SERIOUSLY BOTHERING THE GREAT KONO MILO WITH THIS BULLSHIT, POPE? REALLY??? KONO MILO, THE GOLD SAINT???"

- Saga begins to realize his terrible, terrible mistake and cuts off Milo in the middle of his bitching, but Milo ignores him to continue whining.

- See, it'd be one thing if Milo suggested that the situation bore more investigation, or perhaps these Bronze Saints were being misled so they shouldn't be so fast to jump to the execution option, but no. It's all about his fucking pride.

- Saga is getting so edgy and short at this point and oh my god I cannot believe Milo is still fucking trying to argue with him THIS IS THE FUCKING POPE WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU

- Like, yume and I utterly lost our fucking minds at Milo blowing off Athena to haze Kanon when we were re-watching the Hades OAVs, but oh god it is extremely fucking consistent with this characterization here

- Poor Saga. "LOOK, THEY HAVE A FUCKING GOLD CLOTH, OKAY!?!? JESUS CHRIST WHY THE FUCK DID I NOT GET APHRODITE TO DO THIS"

- okay okay i know it's because lol seat of the pants kurumada making shit up as he went along and was promptly retconned out because it makes no sense but i will never stop laughing at milo being shocked that there are twelve gold saints. WHAT??? NOT JUST SCORPIO AND SAGITTARIUS???? WHO WOULD HAVE EVER GUESSED???? THEY COME IN, LIKE, A SET????

- Kanon pretending he's Sea Dragon is the funniest moment in Saint Seiya, but Milo's spectacular intelligence debuff is also a consistent point of hilarity.

- Shaina's crush on Seiya might be, like, one of my least favorite things in StS seriously. It's so unnecessary and it IS basically a pitch-perfect example of that "behind the ruthless, frightening female warrior lies ~the soft heart of a woman~ that only the dreamy male protagonist can truly uncover!" trope that I fucking despise with all my being.

- yume and I were cracking the fuck up to discover that the Tencent version of this sequence has Seiya bringing up the Saintias when Shaina explains the mask issue. Like, my issues with Saintia Sho as a series aside, that's just really adorable.

- The mask issue in general... there are really interesting things that you could do with it, both for Sainthood in general and for Shaina as an individual (the vibe I get is that Shaina takes it unusually seriously, even though it is accepted as a general rule) since it feels like sort of a mark of sexism that would be a part of an old, traditional, religious order - but I can't say I'm a fan of any attempts so far in the series to "address" it. Omega was a thing, and that thing was Bad.

- "Kill or love" is pretty bullshit, though. How about "kill or be expelled from Sanctuary"? I also don't really like Seiya being all "what, is that the only reason?" when he thinks it's about humiliation/pride - like, what's wrong with that? It makes sense with how Shaina has been characterized...

- this flashback is so fucking stupid

- OH NO, SEIYA, YOU SAW ME PET A RABBIT WHEN YOU WERE A LITTLE KID AND I WAS A TEENAGER AND THUS YOU HAVE UNLOCKED MY SOFT WOMAN'S HEART! I bet Seiya fucking tried to jump a high bar, too, as every single woman from the Fate franchise happened to be strolling by?

- Like, Shaina, did you fall in love with this little kid who talked down to you then or... because uhhh...

- Also, like, yeah, it's Saint Seiya, and "pulled things out of my ass" and "retconned" are the name of the game, but come on, there was no indication of this kind of past in all the screentime Shaina has had up until this point. Wasn't her grudge against him regarding Marin and Cassios and being defeated by him in battle enough? Do we really have to enforce her ~femininity~ that Seiya ~exposed~ too? Ugh ugh ugh.

- Whatever, I really do like Shaina, this garbage aside. It's just a shame we fell back on this dumb trope of all things to justify her transition into one of the good guys when it was wholly unneeded.

- Aaaand we're back to Milo and Saga. I love how the framing of this episode implies that Saga has been sitting there having to explain things very slowly to Milo all fucking day. Gonna need another bath to unwind after this shit, Gemini.

- HAVE I MENTIONED, POPE, THAT I AM A GOLD SAINT, AND THUS I AM AMAZING? I'M NOT SURE YOU KNEW. LET ME MENTION IT AGAIN. I'M A GOLD SAINT, BY THE WAY.

- And Lia enters the scene!

- Okada made this an explicit issue in Episode G, but the contrast between fully-decked-out-in-his-Cloth "have I mentioned in the last five minutes that I am a Gold Saint, preen preen" Milo and Lia--who strolls in WITHOUT his Cloth, just his regular training clothes - is really striking.

- Milo's face when Lia comes in... hmmm...

- I don't think Saga, like, actively made a point of or went out of his way to play ~mind games~ with Aiolia or anything, but this is definitely a deliberate passive-aggressive diss. The kind you would give when it's like, ah yes, I ruined this kid's life, let me just innocuously twist the knife a little here...

- You really can understand why Aiolia is as fucking mad and as fucking repressed as he is, from the dressed-up hostility coming from both sides in this whole amazing shitstorm.

- This is... an amazing moment. "What if I still wanted Milo to go?" "Eh, I'd kick his fucking ass." And Milo's EXCUSE ME!?!?! reaction lmfaooooo

- You can just sense the stony bitterness coming off of Lia here, though? This is a dangerous game to play, considering the whole rule about "no duels between Saints." Just the sheer dismissiveness of it, too. Just as Saga gets in his passive-aggressive digs against Aiolia, Lia gets his in against... Milo, lol?

- And Milo starts trying to argue with the Pope AGAIN and Saga finally just tells him to shut the hell up. Saga confirmed for legitimately impressive patience honestly.

- God, and Lia just leaves once he gets the confirmation. I LOVE that Aiolia went through this whole thing since coming in without saying a single fucking word to Milo or sparing him more than a glance. Please, just ask this man about his opinion of Scorpio Milo, I’m begging you.

- MILO FOR FUCK'S SAKE.

- And Saga is the one who points out that, BECAUSE of his history and his relation to Aiolos, he has a compelling reason to work on this case in particular. Milo just stops at HOW COULD YOU RELY ON HIM HE HAS TRAITOR'S BLOOD. The intelligence debuff is real.

- But, yeah, you can tell Lia has cause to be as cold, dismissive, and passive-aggressive towards Milo as he was. They... they do not have a good relationship.  

- It legitimately boggles my mind how there is a weird semi-common fanon about Milo and Lia being close friends, or Milo being this great guy who was so supportive of him. I've run across it multiple times in my hunts for cute fanart or interesting discussion, and I feel like I'm staring at an incomprehensible alien entity every time. Like. Where did you get that. How did. The characterization we get from both of them indicates the exact opposite. I would not be remotely surprised if Aiolia, as bitter and angry as he truly is, is going to hold a grudge against Milo until the end of time, long after Milo has forgotten about it.

- Rather than being his friend, Milo is literally the ONLY Gold Saint we see actually giving Aiolia shit for being a traitor's brother. Like I mentioned back in the Silver Saint scene with Aiolia, yume and I actually talked about this - since she is a raving Aiolia fan and all - about the possible sources of Lia's torment from his peers. The shitty Silver Saints, yes, and Deathmask, yes, because he's actively malicious in general, but he wouldn't be rubbing it in because he actually cares or thinks Lia having "traitor blood" actually means something. MILO sure does, though!

- Milo is prideful, often in shallow ways, and incredibly overbearing about that pride, thinking he has the right to lecture and judge and override others, including Athena herself. There is like literally no question in my mind that he is friends with Camus because Camus is basically the only person who knows him who will actually tolerate him.

- Milo: "Hmm, lots of people don't trust the Pope, and no one has seen his face. WHAT COULD IT MEAN??? welp back to my temple wonder what camus is up to"

- "Brother, I will make up for your sin, even if I have to sacrifice my life!" with a thousand-yard stare. Aiolia, you really, really need some therapy, badly...

- Man, I was gonna cover more episodes with this writeup, but it ends up I had a lot of ranting bottled up about GOD MILO WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU. Oh well. Next time, Aiolia continues to have serious, serious psychological problems! A good time is had by all!

Kanon and Baian arrived at the next recruit’s house, this time in front of the front door. The person who opened the door was a long straight white haired girl. Her hair was pulled up in two pigtails at the front and left loose at the back. She had blue eyes that looked at Kanon with an innocence only a child could have. She was a petite girl and was probably not older than 16. Well in appearance, she was obviously a demon, from the surprisingly dark energy than emanated from her. According to the file, her name was Chris Walden. 

He could feel Baian grow uncomfortable next to him when he finally spoke. “What the hell are you doing here?” This cause the two other to look at him in surprise. “What do you mean?” The girl was serious about her act. As if she couldn’t tell that Kanon knew what she was and who she belonged to. “I mean why aren’t you in the Underworld? And don’t try to deny it. I can feel Hades’s claim on you.” The girl had the shame to blush. She bowed her head before she shyly asked. “Will you please not tell them?” The angel narrowed his eyes. He didn’t say anything but it was obvious he was waiting for an explanation. “I abandoned my duties as a demon to live a human life. I had never had one and a wanted to feel what it was like, but now I’m too scared to return.” She was on the brink of tears. God, Kanon hated when someone cried on him. “Okay, stop crying.” Chris raised her head, her tears still in her eyes but not spilling anymore. “Look, from what I heard Hades considers his soldiers as his children. I’m sure that if you just go and explain, the only thing he’ll do is pat you on the head and welcome you back.” Okay, so maybe Kanon was not that sure the god of the Underworld would do that, but from what he had read in the Heavens that looked like a good possibility. The girl nodded. 

With the reassurance that she’d be okay and do as she was told, Kanon once again took a hold of Baian and teleported away. At least now he knew that not every single file was an assured recruit. The next ones went the same way as Baian’s, with the occasional exception of the orb not glowing. Everything went fine. Kanon was preoccupied by the one he had in his hand right now. Isaac, Camus’s trainee. He had saved him for last because last he knew Camus and his trainees had returned from the human world to the Heavens. The fallen sighed. He faced the other recruits behind him. “Okay, so I’m going to have to send you to Atlantis.” He raised his hand. “Don’t worry Poseidon will give you the tour of the place. It’s just you can’t come with me to maybe get the last recruit.” A fuchsia haired and pink eyed demon nodded and took a hold of the two beside him. When everyone was ready, Kanon sent them to the front door of Poseidon’s temple. 

Alone, he took a deep breath before summoning his now cadet-grey wings. Expanding them to their full span, bending his knees, he took off in a gust of wind. He flew fast and high above the clouds before he finally arrived at the bottom of the Heavens’s hill. He walked as close as he could before the protective barrier prevented him to continue. From there on he closed his eyes and concentrated on the bond he shared with Milo from when they had ‘accidentally’ share their essence. Nothing happened for a few minutes. He was suddenly knocked off his feet and pushed onto the ground. Kanon looked down at the sudden weight on his chest and smiled when he saw that typical mess of blond hair his best friend called stylish. They stayed liked that for a few minutes. “Okay that’s enough, get off me.” The older one said pushing on his best friend’s head to make him let go. When the guardian finally let go, it was only to  grab his at his collar and begin to shake him. “What the hell dude?! You’re branded as a traitor! What are you doing here?!” Milo ranted for a whole ten minutes. He only stopped to catch his breath. “One, nice to see you too,Milo. Two, you think I don’t know? Three, I am here to potentially recruit someone.” Milo stoop up and extended a hand to his almost-brother up. He narrowed his eyes and was about to talk when an icicle was suddenly sent in-between them. They turned in the direction it had come from to find a blood red haired angel with a blond haired and a green haired ones standing behind him. The one in the front had long straight blood red hair and brown-red eyes that held a hostile look towards the intruder. 

The two behind him were about the same height, the one on the left was a blue-eyed blonde while the one on the right was a green-eyed green-haired young angel. He had a scar running down the left side of his face leaving him with only one eye. His name was Isaac and he was the reason Kanon was here.

“Leave now, Traitor, or die.” Damn, Camus was as cold as ever. Milo moved in-between his best friend and his lover. They started arguing after Camus demanded Milo to move out of the way and the other refused to comply. Kanon was not interested in them, no he was more invested in the green haired angel currently making his way to the fallen. When the trainee was close enough, he extended his hand as if already knowing what was to come. Kanon placed the orb in the younger’s hand and waited for it to glow. It would glow. They both knew it. What surprised them was the intensity. It was like looking at a star. The two guardian angels stopped their bickering and turned to the orb. Enraged, Camus slapped it out of his trainee’s hand. “What did you do to him?” His fury was like the harshest winter, ice cold and unforgiving. Kanon picked up the orb before calmly replying. “Nothing, I simply gave him this. What happened next was not up to me.” The ice master was about to strike the sea dragon when he noticed the symbol on his armor: a trident. His fury was replaced with shock. “You are part of Poseidon’s army.” It was not a question.

“I am the sea dragon general and commander of the army.” His best friend’s lover didn’t react. Milo chose that moment to talk. “So the person you are recruiting is Isaac.” His tone was flat making it impossible for Kanon to tell if he was feeling betrayed or not. It turned into a screaming hell after that statement: Camus was protesting all the way to hell, Hyoga was crying to Isaac and begging him not to leave, Milo was screaming at Camus to let Isaac make his own decision and Isaac was yelling at the three others to shut up and let him go. 

Isaac let out a burst of icy energy silencing everyone. "I'll come with you, Kanon." Camus was about to start protesting when Milo cut him off. "You knew, didn't you?" The young one nodded solemnly. He had always known he was not meant to be one of Athena's guardians. Perhaps his place was with the god of the seas. The master sighed before putting his hand on Isaac's shoulder and taking him aside to speak privately to him.

Milo looked at Kanon and smiled, a silent conversation going between them. At least he knew where to find him. When Camus and Isaac returned, they seemed to have made some sort of agreement. The two trainees hugged each other and promised to stay in contact before Isaac came to stand next to Kanon. Waving one last time before he left the Heavens for good.

Arriving in Atlantis was not like Kanon had expected, he had prepared himself for complete chaos seeing how the resident ruler had handled his arrival, instead he was greeted with the same calm and emptiness he had left this morning. The courtyard in front of the temple was empty and showed no sign of life as usual. Frowning, he made his way to the throne room with Isaac in tow. The chaos he had been expecting was what greeted him when he opened the doors. The room was filled with confused people asking, sometimes yelling, questions at the god who was seated on his throne. On his left was a sight Kanon had absolutely not expected: there stood the purple haired judge in a complete set of armor, identical to his own but still completely different. His armor was purple instead of blue and on his left breast was the drawing of a garuda wrapped around a two-pronged fork. The fallen sighed. He mentioned for Isaac to stay where he was before making his way to the front of the room.

Kanon walked up the stairs to his throne and just turned his back to it, standing on the right of his god. He took a deep breath. “Silence!” He roared. A deadly silence fell upon the room. Everyone turned their wide eyes to the general. “Now that everyone has calmed down, Poseidon will speak.” The fallen gave the aforementioned god a look telling him to not defy him before taking a seat. Kanon sighed and rubbed his temples not listening to a word Poseidon was saying. When the deity dismissed his new soldiers, telling them that they would receive their armor the next day, Kanon turned towards their guest. “So what are you doing here? Is there a problem already?” 

The judge chuckled, shaking his head. “No, don’t worry. It’s nothing like that. His Majesty thought it would be better for us to share what knew information we have as soon as possible.” He said seriously before the teasing glint in his eyes returned. “You know, you really sounded like Rhadamanthys back there. Must be a dragon thing, roaring like that.” He was clearly having the time of his life. Kanon just hummed. So Rhadamanthys was the blond one, Minos was the white haired sadist, meaning the one in front of him was Aiacos. “And what is that new piece of information you have?” Aiacos waved his hand walking to the angel and sitting on the armrest. “It’s not really new information. We have just confirmed what you told us. We talked to Shion, well his soul actually.” Poseidon raised an eyebrow. “It’s permitted under special circumstances. Anyway, we did learn something new from him: the name of his killer. The guardian angel of the Gemini house, Saga.” Poseidon sprung out of his throne. “Gemini?! The twins?!” His gaze fell on Kanon. Both celestial beings were surprised to see the god react in such a violent way. Poseidon narrowed his eyes at his general. “You didn’t tell me your brother was actually your twin.” “What? Does that change something?” Kanon was not pleased with the way things were going, he’d tried his best to keep it a secret. Being cast out by one’s sibling was bad enough, but by one’s twin that was the worst. “That changes everything! Do you have any idea what that means? We could ask Zeus to intervene. Twins are so rare they are to be protect at all cost. To harm one’s twin or someone else’s twin is punishable by death.”

Saga would be killed? No. Kanon would not let that happen. His brother may have cast him out but he was still his brother. “No.” The look he gave the two others had all they needed to know: Saga was his brother they would not harm him.
