Surprisingly, yes. The helmet is inspired by Mongolian helmets from the 13th-14th century.

Shyamalan seemed to really like the Mongolian aesthetic for the Water Tribe.

Shyamalan's Sokka and Katara also wear hunnu deel, which are Hun-style Mongolian robes.

The post is so true. This is what i’ve been saying, telling people as my point of view. Still not be able to over that day - the day i was so happy cause i could finally watch Avatar The Way Of Water and as the same time cried like a baby for the first time in forever because of Neteyam … still hurting so hard hear in my heart.

Neteyam was Neytiri and Jake's first born. His birth was a sign of healing, and things could be good again. He made them parents. He was their baby.

I'm interested how they will grieve him. I know it was said that Neytiri will be wearing Neteyam's accessories. I feel that Jake is the type of person to try to keep himself busy to distract himself. The death of their child, Quaritch being alive and more threats headed their way, I know their relationship is gonna hit some rocky patches, maybe even arguments. Marriages can't be perfect all the time I'm excited to see.
