Question: If you are writing a story in that nebulous time between the movies and Cobra Kai, which fandom do you tag? Would like your insight and opinion on this.

Well, you could do either or both.

My OG Cobra Jimmy/OC wip Is This Love? takes place over several decades. But the majority of that fic, whether it is currently written or not, takes place primarily in the 1990s and even spans into the early 2000s. I incorporated information from Cobra Kai and even wrote a ficlet around Robby's birth, so it made sense for me to tag both the movies and the show.

It helps to think about the characters you will utilize in the story. Are they in both the movies and the show? Would it make sense timeline-wise to tag one or the other fandoms? And think about your audience/readers. How wide a net do you want to cast?
