🐺 "And? Ya acting like you can't get anymore. You selfish mutt! Hand it over!" Koga glared up at the dog, annoyed. If he thought he was safe in that tree, think again. Koga could very easily leap into the tree after him or...he could give it a few solid kicks and fell the tree..which he did.

"Hah! " The wolf smirked as he watched the tree creak, splinter and began to fall over. "Serves you right, you dumb dog. Hmph!"

"... hah? Chips? Never heard of that before. Gimme!"

He caught the weird crunkly thing in his hands. For several seconds, he seemed more interested in the texture of the bag itself than its contents, as he poked and prodded at it, and brought it up to let the sun reflect on its surface. How shiny...

He eventually remembered about the chips, and brought the pack to his lips instead. Rather than ripping it open with his fangs to grab the real treat inside, he bit off a large chunk of the wrapping, and chewed with a content smile.

"This... this is good! It's really good!"

❝ it's not an excuse, it's a reason. and a very good one, I might add! ❞ not that the clarification is necessary, it seems: despite a bit of harrumph on both their behalves, the half-demon acquiesced surprisingly quickly, prompting a quick, radiant smile from the blonde before happily taking the boost he offered.

it's a good lift, ( boy is he strong! ), but a slightly less ideal follow-through: she tumbles in through the half-open window with a small thud, and a quietly whimpered 'ow!' before dusting herself off and wheeling back to poke her head out over the pane, ❝ okay! phase one, success. phase two: do you want to be an accomplice from down there, and, like, watch out for anyone coming back, or do you want uppies to help the search-and-recovery operation up here? ❞

For the latter option, she does reach her arms out, with the implication that she'd pull him up halfway, should he choose it.

this was new: he hadn't expected to wind-up back in the sengoku jidai again. the fuedal era of japan, except things felt different ⸻ certainly sora himself was different. much older physically, his appearance had changed drastically: his hair was a light red shade, his eyes were a softer hue. he had those distinctive cross scars along the left side of his cheek. & he was, decidedly, human through and through.

'i should probably try and figure out where and when exactly i am.'

so, with a small pep to his step, sora began to walk, his hands neatly tucked into his kimono sleeves: if he were in this era again, best to dress the part, no? that katana at his side clanked slightly in it's scabbard as sora walked along, not at all worried about the potential dangers of nearby demons lurking in the forests or just off the beaten pathway.

his superhuman hearing picked up on the sounds of nearby campers: & not just anyone. he heard the distinctive voices of miroku, kagome, shippou &, another self of sora's except much younger. ah, youth. hm, it didn't sound like sango was with them yet, so probably before they'd met her?

aah, he was feeling nostalgic now. how long had it been since he'd taken on that appearance and heard his own voice again? well no, this wasn't exactly himself ⸻ it was another self from a different timeline. not unlike kazama and asahi had been for sora. wait, did that mean that HE now was the older, other self that his alternate self didn't know was him? did that make SORA the 'alternate' in this instance?...

'do i approach them? ahhhh, no, but if i do that, what excuse do i give? how much do i explain? do i even say anything? asahi, kazama, how did you guys navigate this kind of thing so effortlessly!?'

well this was...unfortunate. a daiyoukai was not a guest Ronin wished to entertain in even good times, least of all a dog. he could only hope this would remain a conversation to the end.

"Fickle hearts make for insightful thoughts and keen eyes; perhaps it may make for uncertainty, but if all was certain, then what use of choice or reason?" head tilts, and he idly paws the ground to find some release of the nerves bundling under rising fur. "I do not usually find myself speaking philosophy with those of your...reputation. What quarrel have we between us, oh wandering Lord, or else what brings you to seek my shadows?"

Kiss Trope

The Almost Kiss

It just may be the cruelest, most frustrating thing a writer could ever pull. Two characters are finally about to bring all their shippers' dreams to fruition. They're about to resolve all the unresolved sexual tension and cross the 'Just Friends' line, at last. They're staring mesmerized into each others' eyes, inching forward ever so slowly, less than a millimeter away from lip-to-lip contact. This is it, the fans scream in their minds. They're finally going to kiss!

And then... They don't. Were they interrupted by a knock on the door or falling meteor? Did one of them remember their late love interest that they promised never to forget? Was the thought of a relationship upgrade suddenly just too scary? Well, for some reason, they can't or won't go through with it. They may be giggling afterwards, or they may be crying a river.

The sad thing is, the Almost Kiss says as much as a kiss, anyway, since we can see they both want it. Sometimes referred to as a "near-miss kiss".

Best experience: A few plotlines I had with an old RP group I had were the best experiences I have had with RPing. Everyone came together and made the whole game soo interesting, and intricate and I loved the ideas everyone put into them! The close connections we had were what made the stories all the more fun!.

RP pet peeves/dealbreakers: If we're RPing together, please talk to me if something on my blog sets you off! Please don't just softblock or hardblock me. I hate losing friends for silly things that could easily be rectified.

Muse preference (fluff, angst or smut?): I prefer any of it really. Just the smut has to be with someone whom Kags has built a rapport and has chemistry with and is 18+.

Plots or memes: Either/and/or~! I'm also good with just winging it too! Plots are magical, memes help, and winging it brings the unexpected, just like when reading a book or watching a movie for the first time!

Long or short replies: I like doing long replies, but I can and do occasionally do short ones.

Best time to write: At the moment Sunday and Monday are best. The other are eaten by classes, homework, and my job. During the summer and breaks--evenings to nights are the best time for me.
