i only VAGUELY mentioned it but the past few days i've been doing another clangen challenge where i try to get as many cats as possible (which i think ive done before) i've been posting about it on twitter but i thought i'd share here too!

this is fumbleclan they currently have 203 cats and are on moon 86

this is what camp looks like it's awful. every cat has a mate so there's always chance for kits + every moon i do every patrol i can to get loners + kittypets + whatnot the game also has surprisingly not crashed yet! the save button and timeskip moon button are both pretty laggy, and the game DID say 'not responding' one time after clicking the timeskip, but then fixed itself? i'm playing until the game gets so laggy and glitchy and crashes so much it's unplayable ! i might give updates here at big milestones (250, 300, whatever)

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and if you didn’t like tsats that’s completely valid, however I truly feel like many of y’all are making shit up… because yes, the book is indeed not the best book ever written, but some of you guys just completely erase 90% of it and MAKE UP critiques abt things that are literally NOT THERE

Which is funny but, also, what are you saying?

For instance, I’ve seen many many people saying that tsats heavily suggested a “Will is trying to fix Nico” narrative and let me tell you! You need reading glasses, because that did NOT happen. One of the main points in Will’s character development was quite literally and explicitly him accepting his own darkness, and the fact that it’s okay to not always and solely be “light”. I don’t know what could possibly make y’all say otherwise when it’s not even “heavily implied” but EXPLICIT that’s what happened. There’s a very present change bwtween how Will reacts to the underworld initially (qnd I could make a whole post abt it cause y’all need to lowkey give him a break) and how he does later in the book. Or maybe I should mention the whole Aphrodite scene? Or his reaction to the cocopuffs (=literally Nico’s demons)? Or even the JOKE of the “really dark toast”??

What on earth did you guys read?

Not to mention people who critic things that got solved in the books… like that’s also wild as well im sorry ijbol😭😭 (mind you, it’s never a critique abt HOW an issue was solved in tsats, which would be valid and make sense. Its just a complaint about something either of the previous books or that was made up, and later got explicity solved in tsats)

That special episode sure was...something. I liked the idea a lot I just don't think it was framed correctly. Anyway instead of talking about what I didn't like, I'm going to just list what I liked. Be the positivity you want to see in the world or something I guess:

Deeni. The actress that played her did a fantastic job considering the complexity of emotions that Deeni needed to carry. Honestly stole the show for me.

A random Saint appeared. Mostly to give us flashbacks and I guess an explanation (not needed but I'll stop myself here on my positivity post) for what transpired in the series

Tharn mentioning Dr. Chumpawhumpa and Phaya punishing him for it.

Gorgeous soundtrack. That was expected and it did not disappoint.

Honestly? I love the special effects. I did laugh every time they appeared but not because they were bad just the timing and the plot surrounding them. I should not have laughed honestly that one's on me. I think they're gorgeous. loved the orange.

Thongthai screaming at Phaya "what would you do if it was Tharn" which was just GOLD. They might be a side couple in the show but that doesn't mean their love is felt any less deeply or is any less important than our main couple. I especially love that it was Thongthai about Khem because to outsiders, it might look like Khem loves him more but very clearly those two love each other equally. They just have their own personalities and love languages and idk that line just made me happy. Also get wrecked Phaya. You literally couldn't say anything to him after that. You were worse when you thought you lost Tharn.

volume three down! gonna talk about some of my thoughts and respond to some asks before i move on to four

the wolfwood & ninelives fight was really cool - i love the use of space and how wolfwood's determined to get rid of ninelives which is trying to kill Vash's home. and that there are literally nine of ninelives! it makes sense! freaky little dudes tbh and the meryl & milly save? -chef's kiss- love my insurance wives

god the vash & leonof fight tho.... oof. vash recognizing who he is and reciting the names of people he would recognize? a hundred seventy people dead most of whom - if we believe the end of volume 2 - were still alive when turned into puppets. the agony. the absolute grief. this is Vash's home and it was invaded and hurt and still they don't blame Vash. they're so glad to see him alive and in (relatively) one piece (barring his arm, i mean)

one thing i noticed tho - if ive understood right, i think Vash lost his arm in TriMax During July. I think, which means he's had that arm for a significantly shorter length of time than he has in TriStamp (about 5 years after the Great Fall, vs about 70 years before the present, a difference of about... 75? 80 years?)

also i love how much tristamp Vash looks like Vash in the Hospital Yuri scenes in Vol 3, he's Baby

Really says something about the dire state of offerings for men interested in sewing their own clothes that even searching things like "interesting men's clothing patterns" brings up articles with links to four or five whole websites that primarily offer admittedly nice but practically identical patterns for making button-ups and work pants and maybe a varsity/bomber jacket if you're lucky.

(Branching out into historical costuming for everyday wear is like your one shot at variation, and even then, the ratio of men's to women's patterns on every website is frustrating to say the least.)

Patternmakers as a trans man I am begging you. Give me a little more to work with here.

In an excellent show of self-aware, self-deprecating irony, the poster took the time to add alt text to the images, because for a thing about letting go of perfectionism for once, it was, of course, typed up and carefully planned in advance, in order to appear vulnerable and imperfect, but not too imperfect, y'know, more like quirky in a charming way, kinda cute and not, like, crippled by being one of many lifestyle embodiments of the phrase "normal to want and possible to achieve".

But I allowed myself to Just Do It, instead of being paralyzed by fear, and that's the baby step I took in this here post. Then everyone wept tears of empathic joy for me. I'm a hero.

some people have asked about making zines, and i've seen a lot of people in the tags talk about wanting to make some but don't know how... so here is a zine (technically two) about making zines! wowza! pardon the handwriting lol

there are other methods of making zines that require a stapler or sewing, but this one-page zine is the simplest form of it.
