In Welcome Home - what’s the Witch’s reaction to all these events?

While the Galahkari were in exile Kraja has been keeping the souls of the deceased as calm as she can. Because most Galahkari fled and those still on Galahd couldn't move freely in large parts of the islands, many people didn't get a proper burial.

Not having aproper burial while having the rights to one, is slowly corroding the spirit/soul, which can't move on. Too many of those souls will slowly corrupt the nature around them. Kraja has been battling against that.

Once the fihrie bring the Galahkari back, she leads them to the remains of their dead family and Clan members, so that they can receive a proper burial. Of course the Galahkari have to make deals with her for that. Payment is usually a precious memory of the deceased they are looking for.

Seeing someone in the wild (Instagram) with a Welcome home oc named VIVIEN!!! She’s a plant lady!!! If you know my Wise Old Tree lore (a running joke he has a fake daughter named Vivian) this is the funniest thing I could have seen. I love seeing OC coincidences out in the wild this is amazing. I wish OP has a tumblr (their name is sabby._bg on insta their art style is so cute!)

As I relax and catch up on the Welcome Home lore and changes to the site, my brain is once again solidifying the one theory I got for this whole discover-the-story thing; Eddie plays a major part in either knowing the truth of what happened to the show/the existence of WH or being part of the truth in some form (though honestly with the Halloween record, I have a feeling everyone has some role in the truth of the show)

I haven't found or listened to everything new (I think this was last updated March, so it's been a hot minute for me, I didn't even know it got Halloween and Xmas updates), but I'm really noticing there's not a whole lot about him.

The two major things were the fact his bio didn't get much of an update compared to everyone else's, and that in the old secret videos (the bug Bois) and the Welcome Home Wish Book, mentions of Eddie immediately got cut off or garbled, I think even one audio piece with either Frank or Wally has them mentioning him and it goes warped.

I'm so excited to find out the why of it all, I love the cuddly postman with all my heart.

Welcome Home sketch dump

Dropping my sketches from this entire week cos all I've been doing while cramming finals is sketch this lil guy until 4 am

Wally and Julie for now as I figure out how to draw each character, I wanna get to buff Howdy soon

Still sketching and figuring out details but for now here's early beta Flora Fly.

She doesn't live in the neighborhood, but she's a neighbor all the same. She's basically supposed to be the viewer as a child (while the show was still airing) and how the cast see her. She "goes home" at the end of everyday. The literal child of the crew

the last 3 pics are her current version, Lorelai, which is basically real life viewer once the restoration project started. Headcanon, and idk what true canon is but, basically there's no one left in the neighborhood except Wally and Home. So he can still go out and roam around but it's a silent town when everyone's missing. Lorelai showed up one day, no idea why but Wally can't really complain when that's the only other person in the world. No choice, gotta latch onto this one or they might disappear. It's been so long since the show aired that he can't even remember her face. She's never answered his call so he's barely even sure of her voice. Is she real? Is she in his head? He's not too sure. Lorelai is basically a Tulpa to Wally while he copes with the loneliness. Although she's more tormenting than comforting.

While initially thinking of some form of relationship, the vibes have just become dysfunctional platonic with these two. He wasn't her favorite as a kid, but she obvs sympathizes with him now.

Might write more about her in future posts when I have more characters and interaction drawings. My thought process for now is Flora's just a sweet kid hanging around town with the cast. Not too sure about relationships with anyone, might vibe with Howdy and Frank cos butterfly (there are sinister design plans for the inside of those wings)

(also I think it's so funny that 80% of the time I see wally hair down it's cos he's caught in the rain. Last pic was supposed to be comforting angst and I switched his hair down then BOOM rain. I adore wet cat mode Wally tho)
