"Soo..." my best friend, Mina, started with a coy smirk, "anyone ask you to prom yet?" She nudges my arm, obviously hinting at my boyfriend.

I shake my head, adjusting the books in my arms. "Nah, I probably won't go anyway. Seems like a waste of time, not to mention money."

"It's our senior year! You're acting like your parents aren't loaded," she scoffs, clearly unimpressed by my excuse. "And really? I thought for sure Dabi would've asked you by now. You guys have been dating for, what, five months?"

"Yeah, I thought he would too, but it's whatever. He's just not really into stuff like prom." I shrug, knowing my boyfriend is the definition of lowkey. Honestly, I’m sure he thinks going to prom would mess with his carefully crafted 'mysterious bad boy' nonchalant vibe.

Her eyes widen happily as an idea forms. "I'm sure Kiri wouldn't mind if you tagged along with us!"

I give her a look. Her boyfriend, Kiri, is very outwardly lovey-dovey, and there's no way he'd be okay with sharing Mina on prom night. She catches the look in my eyes and immediately reads my mind.

"Yeah, you're right. Bad idea," she admits, rolling her eyes.

"Very," I agree. "You two have fun, though. I gotta head home and study for that econ quiz."

"Yeah, yeah, I'm sure you'll have just as much fun with that," she jokes, giving my arm a playful pat before waving goodbye.

I wave back and head out of the school, walking toward my house, which is a short distance away in the suburbs. Normally, I'd ride home with Dabi in his sexy black Mustang, but he skipped today, which, knowing him, isn't too uncommon.

I unlock my empty house—my parents are in France on business, so I’ve been left to die. Well, technically  they left me to "fend for myself," but it's basically the same thing. I kick off my shoes and head upstairs to my room, changing into some comfy lounge clothes before flopping onto my bed. I open my laptop and pull up my economics notes, trying to get through the material, but after a while, I realize I have no idea what the hell an "invisible hand" is.

I lean back against the pillows and let my eyes close. Studying is overrated anyway.

I woke up to the blaring sound of my phone alarm to take my vitamins that I had already taken earlier, but the alarm still ran incase I forgot. I groggily rolled over and squinted at the screen, still half-dazed from my nap. The time read 6:15 PM. Great. I’d fallen asleep for way too long. I rubbed my eyes, stretching as I sat up. My laptop was still open with economics notes, but the words blurred together like they were written in a foreign language. Ugh.

I pushed it aside and glanced at the clock again. Dabi would usually text me around this time, or he'd show up randomly at my door, leaning against the frame with that smirk of his. But today... nothing.

Sighing, I grabbed my phone, half-expecting another generic message from my mom or dad asking if I'm alive. But instead, there was a text from Mina.

Mina: "You sure you're not going to prom? Think about it! You'd look so hot in a dress, and I'm sure Dabi would change his mind n suck it up if you rly wanted to go. If he doesn't, still come and I'll make sure Kiri brings his best friend, so you’re not stuck third wheeling!"

I snorted at the part about Kiri's best friend. Mina's boyfriend has two best friends, Bakugo, who is painfully hostile, and Kaminari, who is super enthusiastic but also a little too much of a pervert, I'm not interested in either of those personalities. Either way, I have a boyfriend that I'm pretty exclusies with, and don't feel like pissing him off.

But the thought of prom? Of dressing up, of being surrounded by everyone else—feeling normal, like everyone else for a night—was kind of tempting. Even though I pretended not to care, I always wondered what it’d be like to go, to have that experience.

I stared at my phone for a moment, texting back:

Me: "I don’t know. It feels like too much of a hassle. You really think Dabi would go if I asked?"

There was a long pause before she replied.

Mina: "If u ask him? fat chance... But if you rly wanna go, I'll help u ask him!"

I could already hear her upbeat, enthusiastic tone in my head. It was like she was daring me to do it, challenging me to take that step.

I locked my phone, rolling my eyes as I flopped back onto my bed, already overthinking everything. As much as I hated to admit it, part of me kind of wanted to ask Dabi. Maybe he’d surprise me. But then again, maybe he'd just shrug it off and tell me he wasn’t into it, and I’d be left feeling stupid for even thinking it was a possibility.

Maybe I’d just let it go.

But a part of me couldn't stop wondering: what would it feel like to go with someone who actually cared enough to make the night special?

Just as I was starting to drift off again, my phone buzzed, snapping me out of my thoughts.

Dabi ❤︎: "You still up?"

I smiled to myself, feeling a little lighter. At least he hadn’t forgotten about me today.

Me: "Yeah, what’s up? :)" Dabi ❤︎: "Look outside." 

I raised an eyebrow, curiosity sparking as I looked at my phone. Then, without thinking too much, I got up from my bed and walked over to my window. My heart nearly dropped when I first saw the fire—until my eyes caught the message the flames had formed.

"PROM?"

A laugh bubbled up from my chest, and I couldn't help but giggle at the absurdity of it all. Running downstairs, I grabbed some slippers and hurried outside.

"Yes! But you really need to put this out!" I called out, smiling wide as I watched him casually stand next to the fire, hands in his pockets, looking like he hadn’t just used his quirk to set the entire front yard ablaze.

Not only out of sadness, but out of everything. They're happy? They cry. They're frustrated? They cry. It's just their body's natural reaction to any intense emotion. i bet hobie’s one of them guys that gives out great advice about mental health or just in general and doesn’t take his own advice

he’s too cool to cry, he claims

but suddenly it’s not cool for everyone else to NOT cry

also uses common sense and figures that crying is a completely natural reaction when you feel any type of emotion, won’t be embarrassed by you if you start bawling your eyes out in public if you happen to feel happy to be spending time together

he just smiles and rubs your back, shaking his head but in a playful way since this is a common occurrence

does one of those side hug things where he hooks his arm around your neck and squeezes you to his side a few times, talking about “let it out”

it’s nice in a way, he knows that you’re crying cause you’re happy to be spending time with him

he’s close buddies with pav who i can also see crying at a lot of things, man’s not judgemental

and he can of course understand crying at sad things ! if you two are kicked back one day and you’re violently bawling at a movie that’s meant to be a tear jerker, he’s not gonna shame you

he’s probably thinking about how accomplished the movie directors must be/feel while simultaneously shaming the big company who produced it

it’s nothing new and he’d rather not address it directly by asking you each time if you’re okay when you cry, he imagined it would get irritating and make you feel like it’s wrong

so he probably does something to show he’s there, an arm around your shoulder, maybe he ruffles your hair or something if you’re excited crying (i do this w my special interests, there’s no shame)

overall, hobie just wants you to feel comfortable enough to cry at all- this stuff should be normalised after all, no reason to even justify it to begin with

he may even encourage you to cry, get it out your system

he definitely understands frustrated crying, i imagine he’s a man who’s had his fair share of frustrations and sometimes crying is the only way to cope

if it bothers you so much, he might try introducing you to other coping mechanisms that he personally does

encourages you to get into music, play an instrument, do something spontaneous with your appearance

There are numerous ways. But the most surefire is calling out my friends, or being generally disrespectful and mean. I've seen it before, we've all seen it before. It's not acceptable on my turf. I don't even care what the reason is; if someone's being unpleasant, I don't want them around. I'm too old to deal with RP drama.

I know this is not a subject too widely accepted, but I also refuse to diminish from the weight it held on me even if it goes against the perceived wider opinion. It's no secret that Tumblr is home to many LGBTQ+ writers and users. I don't happen to be in that group, although I do very much support anyone doing whatever they want. I, am a straight, white man. And much like the reverse can happen, I've suffered Heterophobia and the cancellation of its very concept before. To me, if you can't admit that this is a thing, especially because I've been on its receiving end, you're ignoring a real problem to justify some glorified, flawed ideal. It's blatantly disrespectful, since if it was Homophobia or Transphobia, all hell would break loose.

Again, niche. But still an issue that I went through.

Roleplaying in second person POV. I don't even mind first person POV, and the widely-accepted third person POV I'm obviously cool with. But second person POV RP just makes me cringe and, I can't even write with that. It's that bad. xD

Not so much 'someone' as much as 'everyone' did.

I cannot, for the life of me, look at any Hirunaka no Ryuusei and/or Horimiya FCs and not just get disheartened.

Look, I get it. The art is beautiful and the characters are too, on top of holding good emotional weight with the franchise's readers. But for the love of god -- those faces and appearances have to be the most basic-looking manga people I have ever seen. Ever.

In the context of super-powered fantasy series, I just... Can't really accept that this nobody-looking bunch is supposed to be on the same level as, or higher than, a majority of the canon cast. They just look so... Bland. Like "I'm sorry but I've seen that face at least a million times now." Suspension of disbelief only goes so far -- and I can no longer accept that Daiki Mamura, is a pyrokinetic, expert assassin that's 6'4" in the world of One Piece. Like... That's just unexceptional in the context of the world.

It doesn't mean I won't RP with OCs with those faceclaims, of course. I'm just, really biased and starting off as uninterested, at this point.

Ever since I was young, I was into various things, such as drawing, writing, creating various headcanons, reading, sleeping (this one is obvious) and, obviously, wanting to be original. I started to both draw and write ever since I was a little kid, and though most of my stories were either lost to time, were deleted ‘cause I was embarrassed and decided to just delete them from existence, I still improved through time, the same goes for drawings. However, unlike with stories, the old drawings are, mostly, still saved on my pen drive, however, most of them are from the year 2019, so it’s just 5 years ago. If I ever decide to post some of my old art there, I would do it as a form of redrawing those drawings, so I wouldn’t really feel ashamed of myself.

I’m really into various topics as well, mainly the darker ones, such as death, loss of loved ones, addictions, dark thoughts, dealing with various mental problems, having to come up with the past of the loved ones, that you recently learnt through the most unexpected way, torture, politics (as in, learning why things are that way, and not in another way), history (because I just love learning about the past, especially about Mediaeval Times and the last century). However, don’t expect me to get political - I just want to get away from the real world and just enjoy every free moment I have, and also I know, how people can get heated due to that topic.

The mascot of this blog is a character called “Miroslav Bochto”, who seems to be, at first, just a normal, anthropomorphised food object (there is an object version of him), however actually isn’t an object at all. His reference, under his “used” form is there:

Miroslav will be used mainly in “personal” art, such as in art, where I celebrate various holidays, such as vacations, Christmas, Halloween, art for other things, such as rants, reviews and just in general.

Of course, there are more than one “main” OC, however Miroslav is the main one, as he was created in thought of, directly, representing me.

Another thing I want to learn soon is how to code and create 3D models. I have my reasons - with coding I could actually create a game on my own - either a fangame for one of the fandoms I belong to, or my own original game, with modelling it’s a mix between “I want to create games” and “I want to create cool stuff, that aren’t only 2D” due to the fact, that I;m aware about the whole thing with me having to not only learn how to code, but also knowing how to improve the game, how to create various events, that would get the players hooked, how to not make the game be unfairly hard or unfairly easy etc., and with modelling, I might focus on creating, firstly, only 3D models, completely for fun, and not for any games, unless… Something would change.

no matter what molding Belos does to this image of his brother, taking away any form of memories, filling his mind with ideas that don't make him question anything, all that work for nothing bc even at his hands death can't seem to fix the one problem always has. The reincarnation of a god awful thing that keeps distracting his brother. Dead a hundred times by his hand yet Belos is readying to repeat the process every time his precious golden guard brings up the dredges of a useless crush. Until Hunter that is. Keeps him so under lock and key certain that's the only way to keep the reader away. If he simply never meets you, then this could be the perfect model he's been striving to make.

just like all the attempts before though fate twists in ways even Belos can't predict or work with. You both meet. Without realizing it. Setting forth the same chain of events that has followed a hundred deaths beforehand. Even as awkward as he is and sheltered the soul wants what the soul wants. Bad pointers from Darius or Raine aside Hunter still finds himself feeling weird around someone he still regards as a stranger. No explanation until it draws both together again.

oh and the big reveal about the other golden guards. Oh does that sped up all the past interactions to come crashing down on you both in one night. Hunter bolting with nowhere to go but to you. Magicless sacrifice in the arms of a wild witch. Cracked Golden Guard mask tossed aside when he can't even form the words to tell you what happened. Maybe at some point he'll be able to tell you. Only seeking comfort in your touch though holding him close like it's all happened before. Hairs on the back of your neck crawling like there's an imamate danger but it's just the two of you, no one else knows you're here. Unsure of why you're minds telling you something bad is going to happen. Pushing it aside to comfort him and ignoring your mind screaming at you that this is a bad idea in favor of being close to the closest thing to home you've ever felt when you're wrapped around Hunter like this.
