a work in progress but one of my most ambitious projects as of late and I'm super happy with how it's coming together and wanted to share

An offering since Sleep Token always gives me inspiration to finish paintings that I've left abandoned. I almost scraped this canvas because I never got past a red background and gold hand and hated it. Aqua Regia inspired me to keep the gold while the phrases "crystal waters" paired with "no one told me not to breathe" from Take Me Back to Eden finalized the idea of the gold washing away from the bones. It's hard to tell, but it's a heavily textured piece with several gloss layers built up to create a water effect.

Outside of Take Me Back to Eden, my favorite song is probably Aqua Regia which I listened to the entire time I painted this.

Sometimes I like to take a dollar store box and repaint it. Just worked out that I needed a place to store my incense.

Some Sleep Token inspired drawings since I wanted to challenge myself to draw more. Need to brush up on my pencil skills since I haven't done any pencil work outside of sketches for digital works or paintings in literal years).

Might (will definitely) turn the apple one into a digital painting because I need to show that the inside of the apple is human heart tissue.

A little WIP share this morning

Did you really think I could have take a bite painted on the lid and not add teeth to the inside? Next step is securing the teeth and making things a little more slimy/bloody on the inside.

Please make art. You don't have to bare your soul or make a masterpiece, you can be silly and you can be derivative if you want. You don't even have to show it to anyone. Just please make something, it's so good for you

As much as I love Take Me Back to Eden if I have to pick another song as a favorite (at least from TMBTE as a whole) then it's Aqua Regia hands down, with out a single doubt or moment of hesitation.

Danny Phantom fanart? It's more likely than you think.

I remember being obsessed Danny Phantom growing up and then just genuinely admiring how on earth a show with a half-dead teenager ever made it onto Nickelodeon. (Then again, I remember Invader Zim also was on the same network and there was an entire episode dedicated to Zim harvesting organs from his classmates). Anyway Danny Phantom is so disturbing and messed up in hindsight that its beautiful and that I felt the need to make something to capture that. Juxtaposition and all that....blah blah blah

Concept sketch and my current progress with it...the thumb looks like a big toe and its driving me crazy. Also not sure if it like the background or not. So a lot of clean up and adjustments yet.
