It’s so wild going back and watching ‘The 12-Step Job’ knowing that Hurley becomes a very close and beloved friend of theirs and works for/helps out the Leverage International teams because they were getting annoyed by him the WHOLE episode but then he’s just so sweet and likeable anyway despite the things he’s done (wrong things, right reasons) that years later they’re still like “actually we love him, don’t tell him that though he won’t shut up about it”.

Renee Walker was considering many things when she woke up in the past on that bus. There had been a large conflict with her faith that she had to consider first and foremost. This was neither heaven nor was it hell. It did not feel like any level of purgatory or limbo either.

She woke up in the past with all of her memories of the future.

She watches her friends struggle and she tries to be there for them but the first chance she gets she goes to church. She sits in her favorite spot, in her favorite pew, and she prays to understand. She prays in that spot until the pastor comes and asks if she wants to talk.

But what could she say?

“God these things get on my tits,” Christian murmured as he sidled up to his wife, having just returned from the bar. He handed a glass of champagne to her before lifting his bourbon up to his lips to sip from. After a lifetime in Hollywood, premieres, ceremonies and parties all merged into one. The winter around awards season was especially bad, with countless events that he had to attend. If not for Isla’s presence by his side, Christian would’ve skipped entirely or gotten a lot drunker. 

Christian slid his free hand along the small of Isla’s back, his palm resting comfortably. He surveyed the crowds milling around the ballroom before them, and as he did so, an idea struck him. A smirk curled onto his lips. “My love…” he murmured, leaning in to whisper against his wife’s ear. “Perhaps we can brighten things up a little, hmm?” He allowed a moment for the prospect to sink in before he continued. “Is there anyone here you think might be… interesting… for us to take home tonight?” As he finished, Christian’s smirk burst into a grin, his eyes sparkling as he caught his wife’s gaze.

Of all the people he had to run into outside The Fix, it had to be Christian standing there with that stupid grin. Perfect. The image of Violeta hanging on every word this guy made Cedric's morning coffee taste bitter. Still, he forced his expression into something pleasant—he had a reputation to maintain after all. "Morning. Grabbing your caffeine fix too?" His voice stayed steady even as his fingers clenched around his cup, the cardboard sleeve crumpling silently. The sooner this conversation ended, the better. A class would make a good excuse to leave, but using it right away might seem too obvious. Instead, he took another sip of his rapidly cooling coffee and waited, praying this wouldn't take long.

ellie is catholic culturally but not religiously. she does not have faith and she does not believe in god but throughout her life she carries with her the lessons her father teaches based on his own faith. she finds herself at various points in her life wishing she believed in it all, wondering whether it would be a comfort when times are hard. when zoey is kidnapped she finds herself in a church, she doesn't know whether what she does could be considered praying, she's a little out of practice but she supposes it counts.
