The longer i think about it the more i think that the aftermath of Josh's shooting was a huge missed opportunity. I don't think he should've been injured so extensively that it would make it impossible for him to go back to work but his recovery was just wayy too smooth, way too complete, and it would have been such a good chance to explore the ableism of his surroundings!

Like, i could imagine a discussion about whether appearing in public or on camera with a cane would make him look weak, or make them vulnerable to accusations of milking the shooting for pity points - an exploration of the ableism in society and politics at large - but even more interesting to me would have been exposing the everyday, indirect ableism of his workplace. Like what if the injury messed with his immune system/energy levels/whatever just enough that he can still go to work, but can't pull those ridiculous 20 hour shifts everyone's always working. Or if he just has to sit down more. Or if he needs actual regular days off. Or physiotherapy appointments. Again, nothing so extensive it would make it impossible to do his job, but something that would make it impossible to make this job his entire life the way all the characters are clearly expected to. It would have been a cool way to show that this ridiculously high pressure lifestyle they all lead has actual consequences and may be unsustainable

Dude, transformers was honestly just a fun thing I liked that was nostalgic and made me happy (this was mainly the bay verse ones idk why I like those) until I watched transformers one and then I just had to go down a whole rabbit hole of things that were angsty as shit and so much complicated lore. God damn you transformers one but I also love you at the same time.
