Note
🍼 BABY BOTTLE - what are their thoughts on children? For both Harper and Synth
Harper personally doesn't like kids, he doesn't want them out of fear he'll hurt them somehow.
Synth loves children! She doesn't exactly want kids but if her partner does she's okay with it! She's also VERY afraid of hurting her kids whether it be mentally or like accidentally.

Lyrics:
Got no reason for coming to me
And the rain runnin' down
There's no reason
And the same voice
Comin' to me like it's all slowin' down
And believe me
I was the one who let you know
I was your "sorry ever after"
'74-'75
It's not easy
Nothin' to say 'cause it's already said
It's never easy
When I look on your eyes
Then I find that I'll do fine
When I look on your eyes
Then I'll do better
I was the one who let you know
I was your "sorry ever after"
'74-'75
Giving me more and I'll defy
'Cause you're really only after
'74-'75
Got no reason for comin' to me
And the rain runnin' down
There's no reason
When I look on your eyes
Then I find that I'll do fine
When I look on your eyes
Then I'll do better
I was the one who let you know
I was your "sorry ever after"
'74-'75
Giving me more and I'll defy
'Cause you're really only after
'74-'75
I was the one who let you know
I was your "sorry ever after"
'74-'75
Giving me more and I'll defy
'Cause you're really only after
'74-'75
Songwriter:
Michael Collier Connell / Douglas John Macmillan / George Harris Huntley / Stephen Jacob Potak / William Jr Wimberley / Timothy W Harper / David Dowell Connell
SongFacts:
"'74–'75" is a song by American band the Connells from their fifth studio album, 'Ring' (1993). The acoustic ballad was released as the album's third single in 1993, but it did not chart in the United States. It would later become a European hit for the band in 1995, reaching the top 10 in a total of 11 European countries and peaking at No. 1 in Norway and Sweden. It also charted in the top 20 of the United Kingdom. Since the Connells never had another hit, they are widely seen as a one-hit wonder.
In the song, singer Mike Connell nostalgically reflects on the passing of time and how people he used to know have changed now. The music video, directed by Mark Pellington, features students from Needham B. Broughton High School's Class of 1975 and compares the photographs from their yearbook, with how they look and have aged since then.
The accompanying music video for the song was directed by Mark Pellington. It was shot at Needham B. Broughton High School in the band's hometown Raleigh, North Carolina in 1993, and features members of the Class of 1975, juxtaposing yearbook pictures with footage of the same people as they appeared in 1993. On November 14, 2015, to mark the 40th anniversary of the 1974–1975 class, a remixed video of the song was released, showing the class members as they looked 22 years after the original video was released.

Slytherin Students List
If you’re writing a fic and need Slytherin names for a certain year feel free to use this list.
Note: This list was created for my Slytherin! Harry fanfiction, The Snake Inside. This is a list of all the Slytherin students throughout the 7 years that Harry is at Hogwarts. I stole some names from the wiki and the rest were generated with a Victorian name generator. I aged down a couple characters that were listed on the wiki to have extra characters, and gave some background canon characters siblings. There should be at least 10 students in each year. I also designated who in my story is Head Girl/Boy or a Prefect, but if you’re just borrowing some names you don’t have to keep that part.

Note
the only change I saw was the necklaces but other than that his style changed more in 2019? I don't think he'd go the extra mile to impress a girl by changing how he dresses anyway he dresses exactly the same to me. I get people love him with a gf or with Amelia generally because she's pretty but the reaching needs to stop lmao
and even those necklaces weren’t new?? they first showed up in the harper’s bazaar spread last summer, along with the rings, then went from there. he wore necklaces here and there during promo, events, tour rehearsals, etc, tho i guess it’s fair to say that it wasn’t until after watching normal people and getting necklaces from the same brand as connell’s chain that they became a semi-permanent fixture in his looks.
but anyways, i agree? i don’t think that he’s really the type to go above and beyond to totally overhaul his looks for someone he’s interested in. i could see maybe incorporating a piece or two here or there if they mention they like something and he’s really looking to impress and/or make them happy, but even then it would probably generally be with things he likes and might have even chosen for himself independent of that person anyways???

X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009)
Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi |
X-Men Origins: Wolverine is a American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics fictional character Wolverine. It is the fourth installment of the X-Men film series, the first installment of the Wolverine trilogy within the series, and a spin-off prequel to X-Men (2000). The film was directed by Gavin Hood, written by David Benioff and Skip Woods, and produced by Hugh Jackman, who stars as the titular character, alongside Liev Schreiber, Danny Huston, Dominic Monaghan, and Ryan Reynolds. The film’s plot details Wolverine’s childhood as James Howlett, his time with Major William Stryker’s Team X, the bonding of Wolverine’s skeleton with the indestructible metal adamantium during the Weapon X program and his relationship with his half-brother Victor Creed.
In 1845, James Howlett, a boy living in Canada, witnesses his father being killed by groundskeeper Thomas Logan. Anxiety activates the boy’s mutation: bone claws protrude from his knuckles and he impales Thomas, who reveals that he is James’ birth father before dying. James flees along with Thomas’ other son Victor Creed, who is James’ half-brother and has a sharp claw-nails and healing factor mutation like James. They spend the next century as soldiers, fighting in the American Civil War, both World Wars and the Vietnam War in 1973.
In Vietnam, the increasingly violent Victor attempts to rape a Vietnamese woman and kills a senior officer who tries to stop him. James returns to Victor upon the commotion, and ignorant of his brother’s intent, he rushes to defend him. This results in the pair being sentenced to execution by firing squad, which they survive due to their mutant healing abilities. Major William Stryker approaches them in military custody and offers them membership in Team X, a group of mutants including expert marksman Agent Zero, katana-wielding Wade Wilson, John Wraith, super-strong and invulnerable Fred Dukes and technopath Chris Bradley. They join the team for a few missions, with James using the alias Logan, but Victor and the group’s lack of empathy for human life causes Logan to leave.
Director: Gavin Hood

Normal People: A Novel Audiobook Online
[Book] Normal People: A Novel Audiobook Online by Sally Rooney
NOW A HULU ORIGINAL SERIES • NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • “A stunning novel about the transformative power of relationships” (People) from the author of Conversations with Friends, “a master of the literary page-turner” (J. Courtney Sullivan).   ONE OF THE TEN BEST NOVELS OF THE DECADE—Entertainment Weekly
TEN BEST BOOKS OF THE YEAR—People, Slate, The New York Public Library, Harvard Crimson
AND BEST BOOKS OF THE YEAR—The New York Times, The New York Times Book Review, O: The Oprah Magazine, Time, NPR, The Washington Post, Vogue, Esquire, Glamour, Elle, Marie Claire, Vox, The Paris Review, Good Housekeeping, Town & Country
Connell and Marianne grew up in the same small town, but the similarities end there. At school, Connell is popular and well liked, while Marianne is a loner. But when the two strike up a conversation—awkward but electrifying—something life changing begins.
A year later, they’re both studying at Trinity College in Dublin. Marianne has found her feet in a new social world while Connell hangs at the sidelines, shy and uncertain. Throughout their years at university, Marianne and Connell circle one another, straying toward other people and possibilities but always magnetically, irresistibly drawn back together. And as she veers into self-destruction and he begins to search for meaning elsewhere, each must confront how far they are willing to go to save the other.
Normal People is the story of mutual fascination, friendship and love. It takes us from that first conversation to the years beyond, in the company of two people who try to stay apart but find that they can’t.   Praise for Normal People   “[A] novel that demands to be read compulsively, in one sitting.”—The Washington Post
“Arguably the buzziest novel of the season, Sally Rooney’s elegant sophomore effort . . . is a worthy successor to Conversations with Friends. Here, again, she unflinchingly explores class dynamics and young love with wit and nuance.”—The Wall Street Journal
“[Rooney] has been hailed as the first great millennial novelist for her stories of love and late capitalism. . . . [She writes] some of the best dialogue I’ve read.”—The New Yorker

Linda M.
An intimate story about an Irish couple whose relationship is basically a close friendship, dips into being a couple, and never really attains a steady state. Well written and worth listening to or reading. The narration is excellent.

Listening to this book was better than reading it and there is so much to unpack for such a small novel. Class, education, timing, mental health, abuse, sexism... it’s al there in this tender conversation on love

Descending A Staircase
In celebration of Women’s History Month, March Object of the Day posts highlight women designers in the collection.
In a prolific career spanning six decades, Elizabeth Shippen Green (1871—1954) illustrated more than two dozen books and produced hundreds of illustrations for newspapers and magazines.  From 1901 until 1924, she worked under exclusive contract to Harper’s Magazine, where she was the first woman to join the elite staff of the art department.
Our collection includes two of Green’s illustrations for The Coryston Family by Mrs. Humphrey Ward, a 1913 novel about a British family trying to maintain their wealth and prestige after losing their patriarch. Here, the family’s strong-willed daughter is dressed in a shimmering white and pink gown to attend the opera at Covent Garden. The novel describes the theater as a space designed to “provide the most gorgeous setting possible for a world of women” in their finest attire.[1] Early in her career, Green supported herself as a fashion illustrator for publications including The Ladies’ Home Journal. Her later illustrations maintain a sartorial sensibility, showing a keen attention to detail in the costumes of dramatically posed figures.
Elizabeth Shippen Green learned the basics of illustration from her father, who had worked as an artist-correspondent for Harper’s Weekly during the Civil War. She studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and Drexel University, where she entered the classes of illustrator Howard Pyle.  Through Pyle, Green met fellow students Jessie Willcox Smith and Violet Oakley, who were to become her lifelong friends. The trio began sharing a studio, and in 1902 rented the old Red Rose Inn in Villanova.
Dubbed the “Red Rose Girls,” the group became national celebrities through their illustrations.  These remarkably talented, industrious women also drew attention from the press for their unconventional experiment in communal living.  Unmarried and childless, they successfully supported each other—as well as assorted elderly relatives and pets—as professional artists.  Another friend, Henrietta Cozens, assumed wifely responsibilities, managing the garden and household.  In 1905, the collective moved to a new home and studio dubbed “Cogslea,” an acronym of their last names.[2]
The band reluctantly broke up after fourteen years, in 1911, when Green married architect Huger Elliott.  She continued to work as an illustrator, moving to support Huger’s career as he held a series of prestigious titles including head of the Department of Education at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.  While in New York, Elizabeth and Huger lived at 114 East 90th Street—a stone’s throw from the Cooper Hewitt’s present location.
Laura Fravel is the Curatorial Research Assistant (American Art) in the Drawings, Prints & Graphic Design Department at Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum.
[1] Mary Augusta Arnold (Mrs. Humphrey) Ward, “The Coryston Family: A Novel” (New York: Harpers Brothers, 1913), p. 53. Cooper Hewitt’s collection also includes another illustration for this novel: 1960-132-1.

Abrams, Inc., 2000); Catherine Connell Stryker, The Studios At Cogslea (Wilmington: Delaware Art Museum, 1976); Kathleen A. Foster, American Watercolor in the Age of Homer and Sargent (Philadelphia: Philadelphia Museum of Art, 2017), pp. 282-288.
