Sometimes I wonder if in the beginning after Were!John was free to come out, that he didn't get much sleep at night. Maybe it was from the sheer excitement of being out that he had much exploring to do. Or his duty to watch over everyone at night.

He'd sleep in random parts of the house, but always on the floor. Even if he slept in the bedroom, it would be at the foot of the bed or on the floor in front of the fireplace. If he didn't, he watched Brian, discovering that his mate snores a little bit.

Were!John thinks about how Brian just accepted him. But why would he think he wouldn't? He's always been sincere and really, he could tell something was up by smell alone. (That or body language.)

Brian stirs under the thick duvet covers. Without opening his eyes, he says, "Honey." It's more of a command tone -- ("What are you doing?") "C'mere." ("It's fine.")

Is it though? Brian taps the space between them twice. It is. Were!John's tired anyway, it's three in the morning. He can stand to let his guard down. He gets into bed (he has to face the door, though) and Brian latches on to him (the shock of cold hands gets him every time), nuzzling into his neck before falling back to sleep.

He's not going anywhere. He's got nothing to worry about.

summary of the above links: he's a hack, a Bible literalist who is self admittedly using his platform of 3 million subscribers to attempt to recruit more southern Baptists, he teaches Sunday school and has stated in his videos that people who report religious abuse are "overreacting" (hm!), collabs with Brandon Herrara, named his brand after an entity that is absolutely taboo (and offensive) to discuss even if he was a member of the cultures to which it belongs, which he isnt (see comments at link from Cherokee tribal members discussing his claims of being Cherokee, it's not my topic to discuss, there is also discussion that he is not Algonquian and cannot claim any connection to the name in question, again please refer to the statements and perspectives of actual Algonquian and Cherokee people), made up a bizarre lie about having some sort of hand in forming the alt right terrorist group the Boogaloo Boys (he isnt old enough for this to be a realistic claim even if any other part of it made sense, which it doesn't, I actually am old enough to have been there and everything he says about it is bullshit), is buddies with plenty of other alt right YouTubers, and his videos are factually incorrect when they address facts at all and present antisemitic and racist conspiracy theories as fact when they do not. the guy is a walking dogwhistle and all claims to the contrary come either from people who have good reason to handwave dogwhistles and recommend him earnestly to people who don't know any better, or people who don't know any better.

the material he covers is covered better by dozens or hundreds of other YouTubers who are less incorrect, corrupt and/or exploitative (take your pick), but his bullshit was called out extremely clumsily by a second guy called In Praise of Shadows who either fucked it up so badly or got a cease and desist so credible that he had to publicly walk it back, I'm not sure which, but either way the fumble on the callout resulted in a backlash that has made Goon much harder to criticize now, which is why there keep being "allegations" that never seem to go anywhere.
