Honestly the main AU/the server I roleplay this version of Scarecrow in just....isn't really a big deal anymore? It lost a lot of people after COVID, and we [myself and the other mods] have had very little luck getting new people to stick around as they don't seem to comprehend that in order for a place to be active, you need to not rely on one person only to post. Because it is usually one person [me] posting both OOC and IC, and sometimes our Superboy RPer. Anyways I'll try to break it down in summary, this is far from comprehensive but think of it as more standout examples. Iceberg | Charles Murray. For all extents and purposes, considers himself as having lost his virginity to Charles as truthfully that's as far back as he remembers and/or willingly wants to remember. Coworkers at Gotham U, Charles was brought in to analyze the freak weather conditions of Gotham.

Thinker | Gaius Grieves. Prison fling for a few years while they happened to be interned at Belle Reve, called it off pretty much right after they broke out. Notably, Crane was the only person Gaius liked besides Enchantress. Who...did not even remotely share any of his sentiments. Effectively the sole force other than Waller keeping Gaius alive. Kite-Man | Charles Brown. If he had a nickel for every man he's fucked named "Charles" he'd have a fair amount of nickels. Which isn't a lot, but, again, weird that it's happened so many times. Bonded when Kite-Man was sent to Arkham instead of Blackgate mistakenly, also bonded over their dead children. Hugo Strange | Wong Honghui. His life partner in my main AU, and in all offshoots penned by me where they have met. Diversity hires at Arkham Asylum, bonded over being terrible people and one thing led to a 30 year relationship. Eerily in sync, though not always. Voltaic | no canon name given, but I have helpfully dubbed him Nikolai Marconi after inventor Nikola Tesla and electrical engineer and inventor of radio Guglielmo Marconi. Notably, his only lasting fling with another trans person thus far. Nikolai hates his guts for being more "successful". Doctor Polaris | Neal Emerson. While Neal's proclivities lended themselves to harder substances, it wasn't uncommon to see them bumming whatever off each other. Met in a heroin den, and, in the end Neal sold him out for opiates a couple months into their relationship.

Bookworm | Honestly there's two of them and I could have seen it going either way. One night stand where there could have possibly been something there, but ultimately nothing came of it. Savant | Brian Durlin. Was it a moment of desperation? Who knows, but "I gave Savant a handjob and we rubbed our dicks together for a bit" is certainly going down in Crane's mind as a thing that happened. Neither of them speak of this. Bloodwork | Ramsey Rosso. Was mostly intrigued by Ramsay being able to find a cure for hemophilia [as a hemophiliac], stuck around because the guy had a great sense of humor and being able to generate your own heat is pretty useful when your partner is skin and bone. The whole "being a translucent sack of blood" thing was a little weird, though.

Far Cry 5 Roleplay

Hello! As the title states, I am looking for people to roleplay Far Cry 5. I am just returning back to the tumblr scene, so I got to get used to it once again. As for roleplaying itself, I have quite a few years under my belt and I tend to use discord.

My Roleplay Information

I am above the age of eighteen, which means that I will not roleplay with anyone that is below that age.

I have been roleplaying for about a few years now, so I am quite experienced with different types. I prefer to roleplay in third person and as for my length of responses, I try to match whatever my partner gives me. That being said, I do prefer that my partner also writes in third person and uses basic grammar and punctuation. Anything I ask of you, I will be doing the same to make it fair! If you need an example of my roleplay, I’d be more than willing to provide one. :))

I am a rather busy person and my schedule may vary day to day, so please be patient with me. I ask that you do not spam me with messages if I do not respond within a day. I, myself, will only ask once it has hit the one month mark. If I do not get a response within two weeks of that mark, then I will leave. Also, I truly don’t mind if you ghost the roleplay. Ghosting is inevitable, so I don’t really care.

I do tend to roleplay as females because that’s just what I’m comfortable with and my favorite pairing is FxM. However, I am open to playing male characters on the side or if we are doubling up. I am also willing to try other pairings as well depending on the plot, but I just wanted to preface what my favorite was.

Now For the Roleplay

So I just finished Far Cry 5 and will be moving onto New Dawn soon, I absolutely LOVED the game and its story. I also just recently watched a playthrough of Joseph’s Collapse, so that made me even more eager to make this post! I am primarily looking for either a John or Joseph (mainly Joseph) roleplayer and if we double up, I can play Jacob/John/Pratt/Sharky/Eli/or someone else for you in return!

Ooh Husk & Ondine’s relationship is deliciously awful! I wanna see Husk get punched in the face so bad!!! (Angel too!!) You can really see Sarah’s people pleaser attitude on full display, and her incredible lack of self worth.

It’s definitely not as bad as Angel and Val’s relationship, but it just makes her feel… empty. It’s complicated. Ondine doesn’t actually want Husk or most of the other people she sleeps with, but the fact that none of them truly care about her outside of the whole sugar daddy/baby roleplay hurts. She feels hollow, wanting someone to make her feel safe and loved and respected, but “knowing” that’s not going to happen. She has her family, her job isn’t the worst thing in the world— she should just be grateful that things aren’t worse (the influence of Vox’s bad parenting is making itself known. He believed that if you had all your basic needs met (and even surpassed), you had no right to complain about being unhappy. Sarah internalized that philosophy after seeing it used against her mother and brother so many times. Her dad liked her best because she never complained, so just… never complain).

Does Niffty have an opinion on her?

Not really. She’s beneath her notice. Ondine’s not the only employee Husk sleeps with on occasion, just the one who’s been around the longest. Niffty might not even know her name, just her face. She thinks she’s pretty, but not pretty enough to ask to lend out for a modeling gig unless someone else cancelled at the very last minute. Niffty’s got her pick of gorgeous sinners willing to fight to the death to model for her, she doesn’t need some “showgirl” of Husk’s.

If Husk eventually lost his soul to Alastor how would Sarah react? (What would Fineas and Helen’s thoughts be? How would Angel and Niffty react to Husk losing his Overlord status? What would Valentino and Velvette think about it?)

Depends on how Husk and Alastor’s deal works exactly. It’s not clear if Husk lost everything to Alastor or if he’s just forced to follow his orders. “I sold my soul to save my power” implies he still has it, but Husk doesn’t act like he was taken away from anything particularly important when Alastor came back in canon. Alastor could own everyone Husk once did; he could either leave them where they are or let them go do as they please (still under contract with him, of course). Husk might still technically own his casino and contracts, but can’t access them now because Alastor won’t let him. Not sure.

Whatever the circumstances, reactions to Husk’s downfall would be generally the same. Ondine, Fineas, and Helen are disoriented— Ondine’s out of a job now, but maybe “freedom” will help her be less unhappy? Ondine pities Husk for falling into the Radio Demon’s clutches, but it’s clearly time for her to move on. Angel would be beyond pissed at Alastor. Niffty’s either upset and angry that Husk took such a stupid risk, or is too busy recovering from her broadcast to understand what’s going on. Val and Vel are just watching from the sidelines. Val might’ve done business with Husk in the past before his own downfall since they arrived in Hell only two years apart, but he doesn’t particularly care about him. Just another one of Alastor’s victims. Velvette’s trying to figure out what this’ll mean for the big picture; Al’s picking off her boss’ friend group one by one. Why? Does Alastor have an end game or is he just crushing people who step to him?

A random possibility: Vox is caught off-guard when Alastor presents him with a “gift” for his decades of loyal service (not sure how he would know/recognize Vox’s family enough to pick them out, but shhhh)

1 - How does 60sMindbreak!Vox condition different from regular RAM? (Can he remember specific events? Is he less scatterbrained and distractible? Does he break less things while at the hotel?)

Vox would probably be significantly more mellow than his main RAM counterpart. He's still distractible, high-energy, and struggles with short-term memory, but he's far more stable. There's not a 50 year gap in his memory, he doesn't have the trauma of the torture or his confinement to grapple with, and he's more or less acclimated to the way his mind works now. No one's afraid that he's going to suddenly fall apart for no clear reason and set the building on fire in this verse– he's just Alastor's offbeat, old-fashioned friend/lackey who probably shouldn't be left alone for long periods of time.

2 - Since Alastor broke Vox before he became an Overlord does he have less powers/is weaker than regular RAM?

It's sort of a weird situation. They're equal in terms of power level since neither has any active contracts anymore, but their levels of experience are difference. Main RAM Vox had become very adept at using his powers before the broadcast, after which he lost control over them, although there's still a bit of "muscle memory" there. 60s Vox never had those years of refining his powers, but he isn't starting from scratch like main Vox is. Not sure who would be more powerful since it's not exactly clearcut.

3 - How is Vox's relationship with Velvette different from canon? How is Valentino's relationship with Velvette different from canon?

My interpretation of canon Vox and Vel's relationship is that he's her mentor. He respects her abilities, but still can be a bit condescending to her. Velvette sees him as old (despite his best efforts) and kind of cringey, but she also recognizes that he's incredibly clever and his advice is worthwhile. For Valentino and Velvette, I think Valentino's opinion of Velvette changes with his mood. Sometimes he thinks she's cool and fun, other times she's a spoiled bitch who needs to get off her high horse. Velvette repeats Valentino as an overlord, but not as a person. His temper tantrums are ridiculous and she's not sure why Vox puts up with him– the sex must really be that good. However, Vel's not one to turn down partying with someone just because they're a pain to deal with sometimes. Her and Val can totally get along, so long as he's not stepping on her toes.

In this AU, Vox isn't as self-impressed as he is in the main verse, so he sees Velvette as more of a friend than someone whose raw potential he needs to mold. He might still have his quasi-paternal moments, but he mostly talks to her as an equal. Valentino tries to shut her out at first, but as time goes on, he realizes how fun and clever she can be and starts opening up to her a bit. Velvette starts off her character arc thinking that Vox is a freak and Valentino is a miserable shit. She ends it feeling like she's finally found her people. Yeah, they're freaks, but they're her freaks. She doesn't want to part ways with them; maybe if all this redemption shit doesn't work out and they all break free of their masters, they could be a team.

4 - What does Velvette think of Charlie, Vaggie, Sir Pentious (if he's still there), and Alastor? What does Valentino think of Charlie, Vaggie, Sir Pentious (if he's still there)?

Velvette's giving "sullen teenager" during her first month or so at the hotel. Like mainverse Angel, she doesn't take any of the redemption exercises seriously and can be kind of a bitch to deal with. Her and Vaggie clash a lot because of her attitude. Charlie is endlessly patient with her and thinks that once she can get her to open up, she'll buy in. Velvette bullies Pentious if he's around. Eventually, Velvette starts to chill out and becomes a bit softer with the OG hazbins.

Valentino is also hard to deal with. He's moody, thinks Charlie's mission is laughable, and is prone to making deeply cutting sarcastic remarks. His relationships with the original cast are similar to Velvette's, being mostly antagonistic until they start growing on him a bit. It takes longer for him to come around than Velvette, though.

5 - What would Velvette's reaction to seeing Mindbreak Niffty scuttling around the hotel? (Such a contrast to the cutthroat woman she worked under.

It makes Velvette's hair stand on end. She may not have liked Niffty, but this is just scary, seeing her turned inside out like this. Velvette was already leery of Alastor, but now she's actually afraid of him.

6 - What would Valentinos react to seeing Mindbreak Niffty so helpless? Would he try to hurt her (but she would like the pain) or has he grown enough of a conscience to just ignore her instead?

I'm not confident enough in my characterization of Valentino to say. We could meet in the middle and say he does something to hurt her as revenge, she reacts positively, and he's freaked out, deciding it's not worth it.

7 - Would Niffty and Vox's relationship be slightly different?

Depends on how malleable Vox's grasp on reality is. He could forget that she used to be Velvette's boss/accept Alastor's claim that Everything's Fine, She's Part Of The Team Now and start treating her like a friend, or he could be a bit more hesitant.

Valentino and Velvette are high school mean girls and Vox is trying not to give in to peer pressure (but there's a mean girl deep down inside him too, just waiting to come out).

2 - Thinking about when Vaggie flung the Hotel residents into a literal war zone. Velvette doesn't know how to fight! She was a regular teenager before dying and was snatched up by Niffty quickly after arriving in Hell so never learned to fend for herself. I can see Velvette completely freaking the entire time, potentially using Sir Pentious as a (in)human shield, and relying entirely on Valentino and Vox to not be brutally maimed or worse. This would probably be the moment Velvette became actual friends with Valentino and Vox. (Also when she realized how dangerous Vox truly is when he electrocutes an entire block. (Vaggie just assumed Velvette could fight and is horrified when she learns she threw a non combatant in the middle of a literal war zone. She would definitely apologize afterwards.)

Velvette probably has some self-defense skills, but not enough to hold her own in the Doomsday District. She definitely would try to use Pentious as a meat shield and is lowkey in awe when Valentino and Vox suddenly reveal themselves as highly competent fighters. Vaggie might've been too preoccupied with her musical number to notice that Velvette wasn't fully participating in the fight (until Val gave her one of his guns, that is).

3- After Vaggie finds out how Alastor maims Valentino including removing and selling his wings) she tries to reach out to him. At first Valentino pushes her away and lashes out, thinking it's pity when really it's empathy. Vaggie finally managed to break through his shell when she hand sewed him an eyepatch. After that he doesn't completely push her away and they start to become kinda-sorta-almost friends, eventually.

Vaggie and Val, the two most prickly people in the hotel, making nice. Charlie would be proud if she wan't preoccupied with the "Alastor's been abusing my friends" realization.

4- I think Valentino's eyesight looks like this:

Don't know enough about low vision to dispute this. He probably has depth perception issues given how he's missing an eye.

5 - Husk, Niffty, and Angel Dust are nicknamed The Glamours~ by regular Sinners because of their glamorous looking lifestyles and how much time they spend together.

6 - Alastor's a lot softer with Vox than in regular RAM He's a 1-3 out of 10 on maliciousness, breaking Vox was a complete accident and he tries his best to be kind to him. (Still a monster to Valentino though.)

That would be interesting, and has the potential to be kind of sweet in a messed up way. Alastor might've taken what happened with Vox as a lesson: don't be reckless with your powers and don't act out of anger. He ended up breaking his friend because he got too caught up in their fight and tried something rash. It'd make him even more infuriating to deal with from Valentino's perspective though. Alastor maintains that he's not hurting him out of spite (well, not entirely), he's just doing what's necessary to correct him. Valentino thinks that's a crock of shit, but if he says so, he's putting himself in danger.

What would Velvette, Vox, and Valentino think of Lucifer and vice versa?

Vox is excited to meet royalty and tries to schmooze with him (the effect is slightly ruined by the fact that Vox is talking so fast, Lucifer thinks he's on coke). Valentino doesn't really give a fuck, but enjoys watching him and Alastor bicker. Velvette's curious at first, thinking Lucifer is going to be some cool, cunning anti-hero, and is lowkey disappointed when he turns out to be just some cringey dad. His and Charlie's reconciliation may have touched her just a tiny bit, though.

Looking for roleplay partners!

Howdy! I've been trying to get back into the groove of roleplaying, so I thought I might take a shot at posting about it on Tumblr!

What I'm looking for:

• Literate literate literate!!! I am absolutely no Ernest Hemingway or J.R.R. Tolkien, but I like to think of myself as a relatively good writer. Thus, I like my roleplays to be in somewhat lengthy, detailed paragraphs. I absolutely will not roleplay using asterisks or 1-2 sentences.

• Preferably someone 18 or older. I don't typically care too much for roleplaying nsfw, but I'm cool with it popping up occasionally. That being said, I am legally an adult, so I am not at all comfortable with roleplaying nsfw with a minor. If you are a minor and really wanna roleplay with me, please let me know beforehand so I can avoid nsfw topics.

• Fandom or original characters! While I typically stick to ocs, I am also up to roleplaying fandoms as well! Some fandoms that I am willing to roleplay are the Witcher series (books, games, and tv series), Homestuck, the Elder Scrolls (prefer oc x oc for this one), LotR, Dragon Age, Hannibal, Soul Eater, and probably a couple others that I can't think of right now. If you're looking for a roleplay revolving around ocs, I am cool with just about any genre. High fantasy? Absolutely love it. Horror? Definitely. Realistic fiction? Totally. I am super flexible with genre, and I can fit my ocs to fit pretty much any genre I so please.

• Any type of ship. While I usually like to do LGBT characters, I'm 100% cool with just about anything. Platonic relationships are fine, romantic relationships are fine, enemies, straight ships, gay ships, etc. etc. I'm cool with just about anything :)

• Someone who's willing to talk OOC! Please talk to me as much as you want!! One of the things I love about roleplay is how it's such a great opportunity to make friends with people. I love to talk about oc headcanons, make plans for the rp, send memes, etc etc. Obviously there is no obligation to always talk or to become besties but I'd love to try and use this as a means to make some friends on here :)

Reasons Your Character Was Made A Vampire That ISN’T Love

I've been roleplaying in vampire games for awhile, and a very common motive that I see for why a character was made a vampire, was that the vampire who made them was in love with them (or lust, or just because they were beautiful). In fact, it's far and away the single most common reason given in bios, in my own experience. Another thing I see a lot is that the character was just turned RANDOMLY for no apparent reason, which is weird to say the least. And while I'm not going to say these are bad reasons you should never ever do or anything like that, I am here to offer some alternatives if you’re interested in them, if “love” or “attraction” doesn’t work for your story or character, etc: 1) Hate. If vampirism is a cursed existence, maybe it was brought about because the sire vampire hated your character and wanted them to suffer, or had a grudge against someone your character was connected to and wanted to punish them by “stealing” their loved one and making them a monster. Similarly, perhaps your character was being punished for something grave. Note that this really only works when being a vampire is a truly unfortunate thing to be; being given eternal life, youth, and a bevy of superpowers is not exactly a punishment on its own, especially if your vampire has ways around killing people for their blood (bagged blood, willing donors, psychic vampire, doesn't need to kill to feed, etc) so I would recommend it for canons where being a vampire really sucks, no pun intended. 2) Usefulness. Perhaps your character has some skill or ability that their sire had use for, or some role they could play, and it’s something they needed long enough to require making them a vampire. Or maybe the skill is needed, but it can only be useful if they also have the enhanced strength, speed, and healing typically associated with vampires in current pop culture. Or maybe they needed a patsy or pawn in some scheme, and they needed to be a fellow vampire, and what better one than some naive newcomer who trusts them? There’s endless potential reasons here! 3) Preservation. Maybe your character has some trait or skill that the vampire who turns them believed must be preserved forever. Maybe they’re a master artist not appreciated in their own time, the last speaker of a dead language, a scientist who needs more time on their work (a project the vampire themselves commissioned, perhaps?) than a natural lifespan can give, or some rare supernatural talent they already posess before being turned. 4) Worthiness. The vampire sees something in this character that they feel has earned being a vampire too. Maybe it’s ruthlessness, cleverness, military prowess, or drive to survive above all else. Maybe it’s unusual kindness, or unusual cruelty. Maybe they accomplished some great feat. Maybe they did a favor for the vampire in exchange for the gift. Again, there are vast options here depending on the personal standards of the sire. One good tip I recommend is to develop the sire vampire as a character themselves, not just as a background prop to the character being turned. What they value, what they're like, who they are that has NOTHING to do with their childer. Then look at that person, and go, why would they turn someone? A lot of times, the sire character either has no personality at all, or is just obsessed with the childer, and that's about the amount of thought given. I think that's part of why some people have a hard time thinking why their character would be turned, so they just go with 'well they were in love' or make it a random attack. There certainly are people who, if they were a vampire, would turn others for love. Others for greed or gain to themselves in some way. Others out of loneliness, a desire to preserve something they value, out of anger, because they were impressed---the reasons for someone to be turned are as numerous as people themselves, and most vampires (depending on the canon) are people. For ideas on why your character could be turned, another good reference is to check out the different clans of the “Vampire: The Masquerade” tabletop roleplaying game (which is where the terms sire and childer seem to originate!). Each clan has different values, and thus seek different traits in recruits, and have different ways of handling said recruits---teaching them, nurturing them, testing them cruelly, or straight up abandoning them to see how they do. This isn’t to say make your character(s) obvious expies of the clan in question (unless that’s what you want) but more like, say, if the way the Toreador clan or the Lasombra clan chooses and treats their “Embraces” sticks out to you as working for your character and/or their sire, there’s no reason you can’t use that for your own character even in a setting where those clans don’t exist. You can mix and match too----for instance, maybe the sire chose your character for Ventrue-like reasons (nobles, religious leaders, great military figures, successful CEOs, powerful mob bosses, etc) but treated them in a more Gangrel-like way (Embraced by ambush, then abandoned to survive on their own for a time and only re-approached by their sire once they proved their worth) Also, while most vampire RPs that I’ve seen work on the “human turned by a vampire who also used to be human” version, it is worth noting that while modern pop culture vampires are almost exclusively deliberately "made" by other vampires, that's not the case at all in the folklore(s) that they come from. These are some ways people became vampires in various legends from around the world:

- Dying without being baptized - Being buried improperly or not at all - Dying of suicide - Wicked deeds in life - People who were witches or werewolves in life; werewolves and vampires overlap in many folklores, and are sometimes the same creature. Ditto for vampires and witches. - Be the seventh child of the same sex in a family - In some stories, any corpse that was jumped over by an animal, particularly a dog or a cat, was feared to become one of the undead - Violent death - Unfinished business in life And if you’re making your own story, you can always make up your own unique way! Magical rituals, botched experiments, deals with gods, the possibilities are only limited by your imagination!

OKAY, here’s the whole story. Like I said it’s very long, but I tried to keep it as short as I could! I obviously couldn’t include Everything for multiple reasons, and a lot of this stuff I’ve posted about multiple times anyways

Ok so my ex fiancé and I broke up multiple times through the course of our nearly 2 year relationship, with the final time being May 8th. I definitely wasn’t ready or willing to be engaged that soon but I agreed to it with the understanding that we would wait 5 years MINIMUM to actually get married. But anyway like I said this is a very very long story with a lot of important context that explains what lead to the end. It might be little rambley depending on wether or not I am in the mood to proofread this before posting, but anyways. Our relationship was honestly not something that was realistically ever going to last. I’m a very hard working person and committed person, I put a lot of effort into what I do, and I’ve always been the worker that goes the extra mile. I put a lot of pride into my hygiene and keeping my things and surroundings in clean and good order. Des on the other hand, is an insanely insecure honest to god pornbrain, who viewed me not as a partner but as living jerk off material. He struggles to work more than 20 hours a week and quits jobs with no backup plan bc they’re too hard or he just doesn’t like them. Food trash would sit in there for WEEKS until it got rancid and moldy, it’s genuinely an honest to god miracle that he never fucking got roaches. It was disgusting, I hated being in there, and I hated that every time I got sick of it and cleaned it all for him (and yes i cleaned his room for him more than he ever did) it would go right back to the was it was before in a week. And I tried so hard to be sympathetic and understand to his mental health, I really did. But being in his room so much was horrible for my mental health too. I was having severe cleanliness anxiety, and panic attacks about things being too dirty. He would drop me off at the end of the day and I would feel filthy. I wasn’t trying to fix him, but I loved him and I had always held onto the hope that he would’ve loved me enough to put in any kind of effort but that never happened

Fast forward to August of 2022, Des left for college in Arizona and things were fine… until they weren’t and he started telling me shit like he didn’t feel any connection to me anymore, wasn’t even sure if he still loved me, and kept thinking about having an open relationship. He always said that he knew an open relationship was a bad idea but I also kind of suspect he was bringing it up just to gauge my reaction to it, and I can’t prove it but I have a little suspicion he wanted us to have an open relationship at the time and would’ve done it if I didn’t say no immediately. But anyway, looking back on it, this was the first time I started to catch on to him really only valuing me for sex and not as a person or a partner. That and something else I’ve posted about before on here, where he called me after I got off work one day and went on and on about how “deprived” of sex he was in Arizona and then asked me if he could do sexual roleplays with other people online. Which obviously I was extremely uncomfortable with and said no to. I was supposed to move up there with him as soon as I graduated cosmetology school, and that was the plan until he told me that he actually had no intentions of even living with me when I did move up there. Which obviously really bothered me bc I was planning on leaving my entire life behind to be closer to him and he would rather kick it in the dorms on campus than share a living space with me before graduation. So I told him if he wants to stay on campus all 4 years then I wouldn’t be moving at all until he graduates, and his response is to break up with me bc he only wanted me for sex and if I didn’t plan on following him around like a dog he didn’t see the point in us being together. But we did get back together the next day

November is Really where things started to fall apart, in my opinion. I started cosmetology school in October that year, was working 40+ hours a week, dealing with workplace harassment from a new manager, and on top of 21 hours of classes I didn’t have a single day off of anything until thanksgiving break. I was absolutely exhausted, the reality of what this relationship really was was getting harder and harder to deny and on top of that I was feeling insanely lonely. Then in November out of absolutely nowhere Justice, my ex situationship from the year before and former friend from middle school, added me on Snapchat. (I’m not going to explain the whole story between me and him bc I’ve done that Many times on here already, but if you were following me 2 years ago you might be at least vaguely aware of this anyway). He acknowledged and understood that I was in a relationship, but he wanted us to be friends again which I agreed to. We had a very productive conversation where we both agreed that our past was the past and we weren’t going to do stuff like that anymore, and at the time I very genuinely stood by that. I told Des about this immediately and he wasn’t comfortable with it, but I told him that I wasn’t asking him for permission but rather informing him. At this point Justice and I snapped back and forth infrequently but I wouldn’t actually see him in person for the first time until March

December comes, and Des drops out of college and moves back to california. This I’m not going to really go into a lot of detail about but during this time it becomes very very apparent to me that he barely tolerated being around me if I said I didn’t wanna fuck that day. And keep in mind I was working two jobs essentially, starting at 5am and ending at 10:30 pm, and dealing with a recently diagnosed health issue. Meanwhile he had no job and hadn’t worked in well over 6 months. March is when I see Justice again for the first time in over a year, we just walked around at a park for a while to catch up which Des was aware of. He was very vocally upset about it and begged me to block Justice and not see him again but honestly? I didn’t care. There was no sympathy or understanding for the things that were making me uncomfortable. And I was desperate for friendship and Justice was right there asking me for it. But after that, I’m not even kidding in the slightest when I say Des was picking fights with me about him multiple times a week, sometimes every other day. I only saw Justice one more time before the breakup (he met up with me and Des at a bar), we weren’t talking more than once every 2ish weeks, and I agreed to let Des see any text he sent me, so there were no secrets and I had nothing to hide. Any time a fight happened it was almost always because Des brought it up, or he told me to block him and i refused. More than once he tried to force me to pick between them but I also refused every time. Was this toxic of me? Probably. I’ll accept that if it was, but like I said. At the time I didn’t care

The final week we were together, on the night of Saturday, May 6th, I let Des look through my phone and he found out that back in December Justice had sent me a snap where he didn’t have a shirt on. It wasn’t sexual, and I’d seen him shirtless multiple times before but he was not wearing one. Des decided this was proof that Justice wanted to get me to cheat on Des, called him to confront him about it, which lead to me finally agreeing to block him. Monday night, May 8th, Des decided he was actually Not okay that this selfie was sent to me and he didn’t know about it, so we argued about it for several hours. Ending with him breaking up with me for the final time. The next day, Tuesday, I unblocked Justice and told him everything that happened. He offered himself as a shoulder to cry on, and that night we took a walk and talked for several hours, including how we were cool just being friends now and despite both being single weren’t going to do anything like we did 2 years ago. Then anyways Friday night that same week I see him again, we sleep together (and I’ve been seeing him pretty much every weekend since then) and I make the mistake of vague posting about on here. Des saw it and had a massive meltdown that resulted in him moving back to Arizona, and after that I have pretty much no idea what he’s been up to nor do I care

He’s reached out to me a few times since this happened but I haven’t really been interested in hearing him out, and I probably never will. Why did I stay for so long though? I don’t know. He wasn’t like that in the beginning, I loved him, and I thought he loved me too. And honestly I really didn’t want to admit to myself how fucked our relationship was. I didn’t want to believe he saw me like that even though I knew it deep down. And like I said, I’m a committed person, and I’m loyal to something I love even if it’s at my own detriment.

My ex may or may not see this, and I don’t particularly care if he does. I fully stand by everything I said here. But anyway, that’s pretty much the story, or at least as much of it as I could include without getting Too personal. I hope this didn’t sound too venty so, if anyone read this far thank you for that I really appreciate it 🖤🖤

17. Have you ever had a roleplay partner who helped you to improve something about your own writing quality?

Definitely! I think all my writing partners have helped me in one way or another. Being exposed to different, amazing styles of writing and getting to read all this great prose they share through replies or other posts has really aided me in finding inspiration and improving as a writer. Looking back to my old writings (I don’t tend to return to them often because CRINGE, LMAO) I think I’ve gotten better in storytelling and part of that is because of the chance my writing partners have given me in developing threads and dynamics with them. 

19. When publishing a body of work, are the amount of likes / replies important to you? Why or why not?

No. I don’t post things with the intention to gain likes or popularity, that’s something which doesn’t interest me in the slightest. Of course, I’m forever grateful whenever someone shares their interest through likes and replies; makes me very happy when people take the time to read and even comment on things I post (and I try to do the very same whenever I’m able to), but it’s not like I have a whole ‘let’s see how many likes this one will get’ mentality, if that makes sense? I’m just very content to interact with my friends here regardless of notes in a post and I’m forever appreciative of their interest and curiosity 💖

22. Are there any writing elements that you sometimes find difficult? Monologues, character engagement, setting, progression, dialogue, other?

I think it depends on some factors, like the verse/muse I’m writing about. Sometimes certain muses are easier to get through dialogue rather than expressing what’s going in their heads (internal monologues); sometimes it’s the opposite --- based on my experience, at least. Sometimes the muse is more visual and depends on their surroundings so settings flow smoother compared to other elements, that sort of thing! I also feel my mood affects these things as well; sometimes my brain has the juice to solely write dialogue with little description and other times it could go on and on and on about internal thoughts, feelings and settings and just share about 2 or 3 lines of dialogue IUWHEDIUWEDH---however, I’m always hoping my replies help in progression because I wouldn’t like to make my writing partners feel like they’re headed toward a dead end (and if they ever feel that way pls let me know, I’m willing to change things if necessary NO PROBLEM AT ALL--)

23. What subjects / genres do you find yourself becoming the most passionate about when you’re writing?

I get invested in anything that leads to character development from both parts; anything that helps unveil more things about muses, things (feelings, realizations, hidden secrets, etc.) that perhaps weren’t initially there on the surface but started to come out due to being exposed to certain situations or interactions. I also really enjoy exploring moments that could lead to meaningful bonds, bonds that end up intertwining with other links as well. Moments where muses talk about their pasts, where they open up and you get to understand why they’re the way they are;; moments where feelings hit them and they realize this other person is no longer a stranger but something else entirely. JUST?? The whole exploring of different bonds (platonic, romantic, enemies, found family, etc.) and the depth and progression they could have, SIGN ME UP---

Things I like RP partners to know

I like to be called: Skaar or any of my characters’ name.

One Several things you should know about me:

Well, I think I’m fairly chill and patient with people overall. I understand that real life comes first and I know what having health issues is like since I have a bunch myself so no pressure from me to be quick to reply or anything like that. I also don’t expect anyone to be perfect. The only thing I really care about in that regard is OOC communication: I don’t like being left in the dark, especially since I struggle with social cues and social interactions in general.

I would also ask you to come to me with at least a basic idea for a first thread because I’ve had too many people contacting me and making me do all the work (and then our first scene, if it started at all, inevitably never reaches its conclusion). I have a limited stock of spoons I’d rather not waste on carrying characters interactions alone. You can totally come say hello without intent to RP with me, however! I’ll happily do things with you in game (though I’m mainly playing SOLO lately).

Beyond that, hm... I like a measure of realism in what I write. As fun as being cheesy and tropey can be, I find RP more impactful and interesting when actions have consequences, be them social, physical and/or psychological. That being said, it doesn’t have to be serious or sad consequences! It’s all really dependent on what’s going on in a scene.

One thing you should know about my muse(s):

I try to make them as human and realistic as I can, which means that all of them have their contradictions, things they do and say that conflicts with something else they may have done or said before. They’re also all stubborn to some degree and unwilling to compromise about certain things. Some lack the confidence to say it right away, others could learn to shut up and be more patient and willing to give others a chance, but regardless of how fast it comes, there will be conflict and disagreement at some point between them and my partners’ characters. Which is great imo but doesn't necessarily mean I agree with them on everything, even though I usually understand why they do what they do.

I say “usually” because sometimes they’ll just do things and I’ll be like “wtf just happened?”, but well, that’s what makes roleplaying fun.

My favorite/most common thing to rp is: angst | fluff | smut | crack | action | plots | AUs | violence | slice of life | performances

For the most part, it’s a matter of “everything has consequences”. I don’t do angst for the sake of it and I’m not into torture porn either, but a lot of my muses live dangerous lives and have to deal with various traumas, which means that angst and dark subjects are regularly on the menu. I don’t write abusive relationships and sex scenes however, and I’ll most likely refuse to actively write torture on either side.

As for fluff, crack and slice of life... As fun as light scenes can be from time to time, it just doesn’t hold my attention for long, and humor at the expense of realism simply doesn’t interest me. Which isn’t to say that all my threads are extra serious, though. There’s a lot of humor in what I write, it’s just not my focus.

Canon character friendly: yes | no | depends

I don’t play a game as driven by the story as FFXIV is to ignore the MSQ so canon characters are absolutely welcome! I use NPCs regularly in my threads and in a few of my muses’ backstory anyways.

That being said, anything too impactful will be treated like an AU/its own verse as will any rp with WoLs or lore-breaking canon characters.
