the kids seeing fiona at thirteen, tiny and wide-eyed and determined, just a little girl really, off to the first of her three shitty after-school jobs … when at her age they were playing in the pool, hanging out with their friends, crawling into her bed at night when they couldn’t sleep.

fiona at fourteen, when monica came back for a month or two, waking up at five every morning to run for track, acing all her classes, wearing lip gloss that doesn’t suit her and writing in her diary because she’s trying to learn how to be a kid. the kids realizing that she only got to have this for a few short weeks before their parents left and reality set back in.

fiona at sixteen, pale and skinny and exhausted, a high school dropout juggling four jobs to keep the kids fed and warm and cared for. crying in the bathroom for a minute before one of the kids needs her help in the living room so she puts on a brave face and a smile and heads back out.

lip yelling at fiona for something and then freezing when he realizes she’s only a little girl pretending to be brave, wide-eyed and shaking. remembering how she used to be his whole world, all-powerful and braver than anything, when really she was so damn terrified and so damn small.

debbie getting upset when fiona reads her stuff about wanting to lose her virginity without deb’s permission, only to feel sick to her stomach when fiona reveals she’s been having sex with older people since she was a middle schooler, and that everything she saw her big sister do growing up wasn’t meant to be idolized at all, but were the results of a deeply traumatic upbringing.

UGH this is so sad … i must resist the urge to write this as a short spin-off lest it consume me …

1. PRIJATNA KAFICA there’s a whole meme about it right now LMAO it’s basically ‘pleasant coffee <3’ and coffee is a diminutive in the phrase and it looks like this:

to mimic the way your auntie would post abt it on her Facebook & it means the tradition of drinking coffee (usually strong enough to give you a heart attack & made in a cezve or džezva as we call it ofc none of that coffee machine stuff) for an hour or two in the morning and chilling and enjoying life before starting w your day 🙂‍↕️

LEMONADE being just literal squeezed fresh lemon juice + water here and my london friend (used to carbonated sweet lemonade) ordered it when she was here to visit me and physically gagged after taking her first sip it was THE funniest thing ever to me. dw i bought her her sweetened carbonated drink and i drank her lemonade with gusto 🫶🏻

5. cedevita! it’s a powder you dissolve in water usually orange or lemon flavor and it’s sooo good i could drink it by the litre 🧡💛

something about Anthony remembering about the small details of their childhood that even Ian forgot about, like sleepover shenanigans and get well soon cards, but not really knowing a ton about what's going on with Ian at Smosh in the between years and also Ian not being as verbally sentimental about their past but seeming to have been keeping an eye on Anthony's progression as a solo act as he struggled a bit until finding his identity as a great interviewer. omg hi!!!!! im safe im in a house with a roof and four walls enclosing it and i can just look at the pouring rain from my window instead of experiencing it directly thank god 👍 i still have no electricity or warm water or heating or wifi or like anything to my name and my only source of entertainment besides my phone is a 1500 piece jigsaw puzzle my grandma sent me that ive been working on for a couple of days now (ill post a picture of it once it’s done) and that i can only do while it’s light out but overall i am doing good im literally just thankful that i don’t have to be living outside anymore and basically my standards for happiness have shrunk so much so fast that anything that isn’t sleeping in a tent is a wild improvement in my book
