2012 Karai - All Symbol Headcanons please uwu
| Send me a symbol and I will write a headcanon about…  For multimuse blogs, please specify!
Tumblr media
Personally speaking Karai is a very big favorite of mine being always in-between as an ally and enemy of the turtles. 2012's take is a favorite of mine though I do still sort of prefer 03's back story. Personal hot take I just don't care for her being Splinters daughter Miwa. It didn't really go anywhere and I am sad that she never got to like bond with the turtles after the reavel and such? Sure they risk a lot to try and save her but really only Mikey seems to see her like a sister. Which is sad to me I feel we could have seen some fun dynamics with her more included. But I won't get into that XD once again this is mostly going towards the Foot!Casey au. But anything not outright directed to that can be applied to Karai over all.
𝓕 : My muse’s handwriting. (Is it good, bad, difficult to decipher, do they prefer writing by hand or with the help of some form of machine, e.t.c.)
Tumblr media
"A steady hand is needed when you deal with weapons." From Karai's hand writing we can she is sensible, even tempered and rational. She can be optimistic. well also being discreet and value silence. She notice everything and pays great attention to detail. Karai is a careful, methodical thinker.
Which I would say is a fitting result on here handwriting. Before I break down into that i'm sure you noticed the lack of a surname in her's that is on purpose. As Karai tries to sever her ties with her father even dropping her name, despite Karai needing to be kept to the shadows and such her father dose hold some ties mainly in Japan. So Karai legally gets emancipated. She is of age to be able to do it after all.
back to her hand writing results, Karai is a sensible person she likes to have all the information before she acts. She isn't often motivated by her own emotions even openly dissing her father on his obsession saying he needs a hobby. Karai can hold her temper and act much more rational. But she can sometimes get trigger into actting on her own emotions where they too much and this is when she tends to go against her usual ways. Jumping in head first with no plan or course of action her drive is to hurt. Surprisingly she can be pretty optimistic but thats a survival tactic being the daughter of Shredder offers a pretty bleck life so anything that can be something good to hold on to she needs too. Rather it's finally getting justice for her mother to making sure her Brother and sister finally can be free. Taking into account she is a kunoichi discreet and silence is just ingrained into her. Along with her need to pay attention to detail.
As how shes able to pick apart April's lies about the turtles when mention she has four brothers who speak Japaneses and such. Or how she is too damn aware of how people carry themselves able to mock the body language needed to fool others. When her emotions are not ruling her actions she very good at planning steps ahead. Able to get the better of many for her thought and plans alone. Emotions are her only true weak spot.
✈ : My muse and  traveling. (If they do it frequently and why, if they never left their home town, e.t.c.)
"I really only been to Japan and New York." Karai didn't outright join Shredder until a bit later she grew up in Japan where Shredder main base for the foot clan resides and a lot of her training was. She later moved to New York so she could join her father on his revenge mission. Working as his right hand almost. Outside of this Karai hasn't travel around too much in her life. But it's something she would love to do more.
✿ : My muse and nature. (If they are an ‘outdoorsy type’, like the sound of bird’s singing, if they have never set foot in a forest, e.t.c.)
"I know how to survive if having to go into the woods if that's what you mean?" Sort of, Karai isn't big on camping and such shes a tad prissy this way. Not that she'll be against it she just ain't having much fun sleeping in the dirt. She rather stay up and play look out. So no she isn't all to connected to nature. Funny considering she is part snake now?
☼ : My muse’s first memory. (Where it was, who was with them, how this memory makes them feel, e.t.c.)
"First memory? it could be a dream but I swear it's real. Looking at a women with long dark hair telling me sorry."
Karai's first memory is also the day she lost her mother int the fire. Her mother was trapped in the building that ended up getting set on fire thanks to the fights going on. Her mother was trapped under some of the roofs structure trapped her. She just has the word sorry trapped in her mind. Karai is positive that memory is the day she lost her mother. The vague memory just fits so while to the photo she has of her mother. But for all she knows she made up that memory.
☙ : My muse’s favourite food. (Bonus: A memory, be it good or bad, associated with said food.)
"If a certain red colored turtle hurts my brother? I know someone who can make them into turtle soup for me."
It will be turtle soup if Raph ever hurts Casey. But I would say her favorite food is Baozi. She prefers them with bean paste more of treat but sell eat the kinds with meat and veggies as well. If going more savory she likes pork. In part it's why she took so well to the pizza goyza almost being close to her own favorite food. It's something easy to eat and you don't really need to sit down and eat.
♬ : My muse and music. (What type of music they like listening to and in what context, what music they would never listen to, e.t.c.)
"hmm not big on music anything that's good is fine, i just have natural good taste."
Karai come across ver underground music lover, indie artis and such she not to fixed on a style of music punk rock may be a norm but sometimes she'll branch out.
I feel Karai is the type to indulge her lost childhood healing towards her inner child she has a guilty pleasure enjoyment for musical songs from Disney movies, shows and more. Can blame it on watching those kind of movies with angel but she can and has been caught humming them to herself at times. And sometimes the songs hit her a bit too close to home.
↺ : My muse and the past. (Do they live in the past and struggle to let go of past grievances, or move on more easily, is there anything in their past they want to forget, e.t.c.)
"I guess I do when it come to my mother." Karai never got to know her mother, take from her when she was just a baby. Karai often tries to hold anything she can as a connection to her even down to the flower she claims is her favorite. Purely based on knowing her mother loved them. Karai dosen't care much for her fathers vendetta against Yoshi, not till he tells her he killed her mother then she sees them as her enemy. April stating she lost her own mother was also enough to trip her up and give the lesser experienced fighter a chance to beat her. Karai often wonders if shes anything close to the person her mother would want her to be.
Karai after things with Casey goes down even more so worries about this, feeling she is willing to sell her soul to be rid of the demon she now see's their father as. She is certain her mother wouldn't want her to let revenge eat away at her. But she could have lost someone important to her someone who sort of filled the void left by her mother in her life. She Nearly lost Casey because of Shredder same as she lost her mother to him. Letting him live means her loved ones will always be in danger.
She may not be too different from her father in the end stuck in the past and letting revenge become an obession.
☾ : My muse and sleep. (How much they sleep, how much they wish to sleep, if there is something that never fails to put them to sleep, e.t.c.)
"Periodically, I sleep through the night most I don't. I must be alert often after all."
Karai is pretty light sleeper something she was trained as when studding under her teacher. She never knew when he would strike so she got used to sleeping as light as possible that way she could both work off little sleep leaving a moment of weakness out of her but also meaning when she can sleep she only dose in short periods of time. She gets by with a near like nap like of sleep.
✧ : My muse and art. (If they have an artistic side or not and why, favourite artist if they have one, e.t.c.)
"Eh not my thing, next?"
Shes no artist but I like to think she likes looking at Casey's drawings as they grew up.
❃ : My muse and social media. (If the muse is/would be on social media and why/why not, their general opinion on it, e.t.c.)
"I'm in the foot clan we don't do that?"
Casey might use some but Karia not really at all, she only joined twitter as an act of rebellion since they are meant to not take part of the world and remain unknown and hidden from it. Thier father pissed her off one night so see made an e-mail and a twitter. Pretty sure she had to get Casey to help with both. As mentioned she only has Twitter and she hardly looks at it when she dose it's most just for aesthetic posts from Japan or China. Or overly decorated weapons.
Eventually she starts using it to follow indie musicians and find out where they are holding shows that she will sneak out to go watch. She still not all to versed in how twitter works she can't figure out how to save the cool poster made up for flyers for a lot of the musicians get made up on to her phone. Casey don't be rude please show her again u-u
✉  : My muse and others. (If they social and outgoing or more introverted, and why. If they prefer communicating with others face to face or in written form, e.t.c.).
"I'm clearly a people person?"
She is far from a people person. Karai may be very observant which is a great skill but she knows nothing on interacting with people. This is actually why she wasn't picked for the mission to betray the turtles. She lacks social skills very very badly and it's not hard to see why. She isn't too good about blending in either. Shes very stand offish and cold. And a clear required taste not someone who can go behind enemy lies and not come across as a possible threat.
This even extends to her and Casey. She may be able to tell he is lonely but she doesn't understand past this why he keeps away so much. She can easily read a person buuuut interaction comfort and just stuff most people learn from growing up? even empathy? shes has a glaring spot of lacking that skill set. It's a big part of why it's a miracle she even has Shin as a friend.
▶ : My muse and level of education. (If the muse has some form of education, what education they perhaps wish they had, e.t.c.).
"All my schooling is home, dad wasn't cutting corners and made sure the best of the best taught me." More reason why she is bad at interactiong and even just acting her age she never went to a public school always home school with best teachers money could buy. Karai is very smart she graduated early even. As stated she is very good with computers with their piratical uses and can even trick Donatello or least give him an annoyance so that's where I would set her intelligence.
◐ : My muse and animals. (If they like animals and treat them well, do not care for them at all, e.t.c.).
"hmm I did want a pet as a kid." Karai was lonely of course she wanted something like a cat or a dog but she never got one. But that didn't stop her from getting attached to stray animals here and there. Sneaking food out to alley cats and homeless dogs. She has a bit of a soft spot for them.
❒ : My muse and gifts. (If they are good/bad at finding gifts, good/bad at receiving gifts, good/bad at wrapping gifts, e.t.c.)
"Five finger discount works well." I feel like despite being rich Karai knows how to steal and dose it way to often it's fun she doesn't even want the stuff but sometimes it hard to not steal? So lets just say when she is feel extra nice Casey may be gifted better eyeliner and such and Angel new dolls or things that she can use for her dolls. So I'd say shes a good gift giver and long as you don't care where it comes from? Just enjoy the present.
☘ : My muse’s relation with their family. (If they speak with each other and how much, if they are close or estranged, e.t.c.).
"It's well, yeah."
Mother- Karai's mother is her whole world, she never met her but she is always on her mind and carried in her heart. Desperately hopes to avenge her own mother's death by killing her true killer. Even though she doesn't know what her mother was actually like, she cares deeply for her and is even carries a torn-off, dilapidated photo of her mother around with her. And Karai wishes to be more like her but she has become her father instead and choose to which is worse but she rather burn in hell if she can right somethings.
Father- actually quite complicated. She seems to fear the Shredder at certain times, but obeys him. She doesn't hold much respect for him more out like most teens with their parents. Often makes remarks and argue with him. But she still saved him a very times when he could have died still seeing him as her father first. Until she learns how he has been treating Casey and that its the reason Casey goes to kill himself.
Angel- Her younger sister, she and Angel bond over the fact neither of them ever got to met their mother. Sometimes it's hard to understand a connection you should have with someone you never even met. Karai on her own end has a tend more of a motherly older sister approach to Angel because of this. It's why shes in comparison nice to Casey. She often can be found brushing Angel's hair and styling it, if Angel dose wish to make her own like Karais she would help with dying it even. Angel could ask anything of Karai nearly and she would do it with out hesitation. She wants Angel to get what she and Casey didn't the pleasure of being a kid.
Casey- Karai and Casey are the same age but Casey is older only by a bit so for a few times during the year he is older. Despite this all Karai dose learn to sort of lean on Casey as if he is the older sibling. She's not the best as being open and vulnerable but she has exposed this side to Casey. Telling him about her mother and such at least something he relates to with her on and over. Casey is a very soft and caring person and Karai honestly could out right tease him by saying he acts like a mom but she dosen't because she likes that about him. How he worries about her and gets on her case even. Casey is a lot of things to Karai. So she will do anything for him as well, she would have helped him with the turtle even without their bet. When she dose find him after his suicide attempt she sees that she could have lost someone who has impacted her life in ways she wasn't aware of before. And its the last straw for her when it comes to their abusive father.

[Foot Clan AU] 2k12 Karai Casey - #
| send me “#” for cell phone headcanons about our muses including:
Tumblr media
"And what makes you think you can just look through my phone? Fine. Not like you find anything it's not related to anything with the clan anyway."
- what your muse’s name is in mine’s phone
 'Cae'
"Casey was annoying when we were kids" She pauses a moment and moves to change her wording. "Caseys always been annoying even when we were kids. He started to call me Rai so to get on my nevers why he thought it would I don't know. Not like it worked." It did. "So I figured if I was Rai, then he was Cae.  And well I guess it just kind of stuck for me to keep with the nickname? Sure I still call him by name, but i'll admit when Shredder and such aren't around or its just us, he quickly goes back to being Cae to me. Don't think much on it."
- what your muse’s picture is in mine’s phone
[image description] It's a quick shot taken just as Casey seems aware of a camera on him. There is an ice rink behind him, a few hockey players can be see in the distance. Casey seems to have a faint smile on his face even as hes catching Karai taking said photo of them. Of course she would deny it and tell him she was simply seeing if she had any bars. Claiming she was bored, but it wasn't a good lie for once.
"Sometimes the three of us just sneak out to get away from the compound. It drives Shredder mad when ever we do, claims he doesn't want anything happening to us. Which is why I point out I brought Casey along for a reason. In truth it just feel so damn cramped in that place at times. Like i'm suffocating. Don't get me wrong sometimes I get a kick out of how the foot soldiers seem to sweat and shake at the mere thought of getting on my bad side, because they fear" she gives a roll of her eyes "dear old dad." The word come out bitterly before she continues to talk.
"Not when I with them however, I don't get hockey in truth I can follow the basic rules at least but well. It makes Casey happy." She smiles a little "I know Casey got it pretty tough" She just never fully knew the extent "And well sure hes annoying, and a pest a lot. Always hanging around to annoy me cause he just can..doesn't mean I don't feel he should get a break himself time to time."

- what your muse’s ringtone is in mine’s phone
Big by Betty Who
If legends are loud and built to stand out Guess that's who I'm meant to be Ten feet tall and I'm proud of it
"Cause Casey's a gaint and take up space clearly." She wont say the real reason and normally for these one I have just been letting the charter talk. But I feel this needs explanation so imma expose her here today. When picking these ring tones its meant to be a song that makes the my muse think of your for one reason or another. I just really feel this song fits well for Casey in this AU. Because Casey in a sense is made to feel sorry for being who he is because of Shredder. Karai is one who sort of falls for how Casey portrayals himself though with this over bearing confidence hes hiding behind in part Karai isn't fully blind and knows its not the full case, seeing how she dose like to try and sneak them out to places that makes Casey happy. Reminds him of his real family and such. But this is very much how Karai sees and views Casey as well. As someone who should be loud and proud of who he is. After everything happens? She keeps the song because this is how she wants Casey to live after knowing the truth.
She wants him to live Big to be obnoxiously and unapologeticly himself.
- my muse’s last text to your muse
[text] look i'll cover for you so you can see Raphael but don't take forever again this time?
[text] if your staying out late with him just stay with the turtles so im not staying up to help you sneak back in

[2k12 Foot Angel for Karai]
She's worried, that's obvious, watching their eldest brother walk away. When he's out of ear shot, Angel takes that wide stare up to her sister,
"Casey's being weird..." Angel comments, worried, "I thought he was upset because of the Turtles, but, ever since he and dad talked he's been, well, strange. Like he's there but he's not?"
Surely Karai had seen it too?
"I'm worried Rai..."
| Muse Interaction
Idiot.
Stupid.
Dumb ass.
Was the cycle of words running laps inside of Karai’s head when she was fetched by Branford. As if that wasn’t already bad enough in her eyes the fact that the reason was because the missing son finally returned home. What id he mean he returned home! Of course, Karai knew Casey wasn’t dead seeing how she was meant to have been th one to have his blood on her hands after all. Now she understood better why Shredder had kept it between just them. It was a test the whole time. Shredder couldn’t be that easily fooled in the end and maybe they were the ones who were wrong in the end to think he ever would believe that. Karai wasn’t sure what was getting to her the most that they were stupid enough think he would, or that Casey did this.
From what dog breath was telling her they had found her brother stupidly sitting in the open on a roof in the middle of the city. Idiot. Raphael was the last one to see Casey it had only been two weeks ago. Raphael said things seemed to fine by then. Karai figured whatever stupid shit the par had going on between them seemed at least a bit better from how the stupid turtle seemed. So why the hell was Casey in the city at all! That idiot knew it was’t safe still. Shredder was still keeping tabs on Karai after all. She had the suspicion that he didn’t fully buy her ‘evidence’ that the job was done.
If it had just been some foot shoulders that found Caseys she could deal with that, the mutants? Just stage something with the turtles t make it out like they were the ones to break Casey free. Maybe even claim they were the ones behind Casey being alive.
But now? there was no scheme she could even hope of working with when it came to one small fact. Casey was found by Shredder himself. That was enough to make her blood run cold. Was Casey lucky? Or off worse that Shredder hadn’t killed him on the spot? Slightly biting back on her tongue, she just couldn't think about it. Because, she wasn't in any better shape. She had claimed to have killed Casey after all. Was the clear favoritism going to help her this time around? Likely not.
When they finally returned home Karai tried to stand tall as she made her way to Shredder's domain. But even she knew her heart was beating rapidly she took a moment to take in a deep breath and concertante on slowing down her heart rate. Sometimes she had to thank the accidental mutation cause by her father because it let her get away with more tricks now that she had these strange new abilities. She couldn’t risk the mutt somehow picking up on her sudden quick heart rate. Karai needed to keep clam she needed some kind of plan what was she going todo? She was certain Shredder was going to make it clear he knew she lied. And who knew hat she have to handle with that finally coming across. Maybe she should think up some lie on how she didn’t know? The turtles and Splinter knew that healing hand nonsense maybe he would by that they used it on Casey and took him?
Or should she just bite the the bullet and plan to flee with Casey? Casey was still in danger that fucking idiot!! Why did hello everything out of the water? And what for? What could have matter more than his life? As her mind was in a whirl of thought and emotion she hears the smallest little voice, like a bell, call ou her name snapping Karan’s focus. As she came to a sudden stop even catching dog pound off when the sound of Angel’s voice. Karai turned to face her sister as she made her way towards them. Glancing over to Dog pound. “Go ahead of me I’ll be right there.” She ordered and of course that earned a defiant growl from the once master marital artist. Karai simply glared at him and bear her fangs as a way to say ‘Don’t push it’ and it was all it took before the skeleton dog creature continued on his way. With him gone she dropped to a knee and set a hand to her sister’s shoulder. “What I it?”
“Casey’s being weird…”
So Casey was here, and at that Angel had been able to see him. “Casey is always weird Angel. That’s like breathing for that idiot.” Karai joked but the relief in her voice was all to apparent to even herself. Far to early to call it there.
“I thought he was upset because of the turtles, but, ever since he and dad talked he’s been, well, strange. Like he’s there but he’s not?”
Karai blinked a bit, she knew Casey had been well not much himself. Considering how he nearly offed him self as well. But the last time she visited he seemed to be doing fine, In truth she been keeping a lot of what was going on from Angel. Wishing to protect her from all of that. Part of her knew as well that there was no way Casey would want Angel to see him in such a state as well. But she thought from what Raphael said maybe he could handle a visits with Angel. They talked about it. Fuck that’s why he left isn’t it? That sentimental idiot! She must have taken to long to give a response by the time Angel spoke up once more.
“I’m worried Rai…”
Karai couldn’t say she wasn’t also, she had no idea what she going to find when finally seeing Casey. Was he at least okay? If Angel had seen him? She would tell her if Casey was hurt? She offered a smile and gentle hand her hands over the sides of Angel’s head resting them to her sisters cheeks playfully pushing them it so to ‘squish’ her face.
“Don’t worry I’ll take care of Casey” She promised, and she hopped she could keep that. “Be good and go to his room okay? I’ll find you soon.”
Karai stood up and finally went t face the music, if they had to make a run for it in the end? Karai would be able to grab Angel fast at least. She took in a good deep breath for a moment as she pushed the large doors open and sure enough there was Casey. But he was standing at her father’s side no different than the mutants in the room or the foot solders that stood off to both sides of the door. Karai took a moment to look at everything around here. Getting out of here would not be easy. Stepping forward she let her eyes rest over Casey. He really looked not like himself. No trace of an emotion at all?
“Karai, look who I found.” Was what Shredder said drawing her attention to him, moment of truth “Seems your brother escaped to the turtles.” Was that a guess? Did Casey say something? “From what he told me of course. But I was able to bring him back to his senses and return home” Her eyes darted back to Casey. “I finally have those brain worms perfected thanks to the time we used them on you.” Her eyes widen but she made sure to kee her heart rate low it made her body slow down and not flinch in anyway to give her away to her father.
“Go on Karai welcome your brother back.”
She couldn't, this may be here brother standing beside their father but glossy stare? The lack of annoying grin on his face nothing but the perfect solider their father always wanted. that wasn't Casey.

Karai - Family Meme; all that apply uwu
| Talking about family
Tumblr media
"And what are you hoping to get out of this?" Karai fixes a cold narrowed gaze your way taking a moment to weigh. "Fine whatever."
Send 👔 for my muse to talk about their father
"Hmm complicated to talk about Shredder isn't exactly going to be comparable towards any other sort of father figure you might met or see portrayed even. I used to look up and respect him greatly took his word as truth. In a sense I say it all black and white. Didn't matter we were on the the other end of morals. If my father told me something was right I blindly followed his word. I strived to be the perfect daughter. The perfect solider. Anything that would prove to him that I lived and breathed for our clan. That I was ready to be considered able to lead. That I believed in our cause even...I did with out fail. I never doubted him if I did? It felt almost like a sin. Going against him may seem like a usual rebellious teen move..but its like going against everything. I ever thought or was even?...that isn't a father." *For frame of reference I do follow cannon of Karai being Splinters daughter buying the lie that he was the one who killed her mother and such.
Anyway, despite Shredders obsession with Splinter I will say before learning he was still alive and even had the clan alive in a sense as well. Shredder wasn't the worse father not a great one considering the shit he had Karai go through for her training like getting locked up with snakes to get over her fear of them. If it weren't for Shredders obsessions? I think he would been a pretty decent dad loosely based off how Shredder wasn't that bad a father to Karai in the 03 iteration XD. But it's very clue that Shredder isn't so much raising kids and caring for a family even if the whole clan sees Shredder as their father in cannon. He is training soldiers.
And that is how he treats them maybe worse even with how Karai states going against her Dad is on par of commenting a sin. Her whole world view shaped by him would be hard to just suddenly change that. Its going against who she even sees her self as. So it takes a lot for her to even be willing to and what was that? Of course, her brother Casey. Everything he been through sure she didn't get much better but seeing how Casey was used and treated. How torn Casey clearly was? Well it was the wake up call she needed. Not so much a family she never knew or had but the one she always did.
Send 👚 for my muse to talk about their mother
"...My mother will always be this empty space in my life I feel. I know so little about her but all I do know about her I try to keep in mind always. Her name the few things I know she loved, I wonder if she would see me as her daughter? I might gone against her own beliefs after all." Karai hold in a lot about her own mother, someone she loves a lot but never met felt cheated out of knowing. Part of Karai in the childish part of her mind thinks that if she hadn't been killed her life? Would have been perfect. And not how it is now, she likes to think her family would have been normal. That Casey and Angel would still been adopted by Saki and Shen. And life would have been just fine they wouldn't been raised to be tools just maybe kids. To Karai her mother was the answer to having a better life. Not the one she got. Which is why she is driven by her own hate towards the Hamato clan. Not so much the turtles more Splinter since he was pinned as the killer but that doesn't mean she won't extend her hate to his own sons.
Send 🤜 for my muse to talk about (one of) their sibling(s)
"Not much to say on either of them. Angel is well a young kid sweet and I like doing her hair and showing her fun things to do or haze Casey together, dose want a lot of attention though at times. And gets an easier deal. Casey? he is lets see weird and annoying. Always going on about the weird stuff he is into. And he is always coming into my room or getting in my way." Karai goes on before her words fall off. "But...I"
Karai despite her confidence when it comes to interpersonal relationships? Well lets just say she struggles a bit with expressing herself in a way to display she is a loving and caring person deep down. Karai truly dose love her brother and sister she is a bit more open about it with Angel but she is younger so its easier to get away with that. Casey? She of course closes it off a bit but he has become a big part of her life. Karai may have a father but never had someone look out and care for her like Casey dose. I've stated before Casey in a sens ehas filled the hole left by her mother in her life.
Karai might not be one to like being taken cared for but it doesn't mean she doesn't need it. She has had to stand on her own at a young age so Casey being pretty instance to display he is the older brother and it being his job to look after her? Dose get through to her often. It's why Casey is enough for her to question everything she ever know when seeing Casey ready to throw it all away for one turtle himself. She is full of regrets but her biggest is always feeling like she was never there enough for Casey. so she strives to change that when he has to go into hiding and more when Shredder dose finally get his hands on Casey.
She won't lose another loved one not when she can do something about it. But she also won't admit that Casey is the older sibling in the same breath.
They have a pretty normal sibling dynamic despite it all. Fighting one second but working together well the next. Casey and Karai are often paired as a team meaning they spent a lot of time together which is why she knows about his love for horror movies, monster ones especially. Why he loves hockey so much as well. Karai has sharp edges but for a select few? she can be caring and loving even to her older brother who drives her crazy.

[Foot Clan AU! Casey Karai]
"Karai!"
He called her name, the last time he may say it to her face. Casey's skates skidded to a halt, he collapsed next to her. He grabbed her shoulders, gave her a shake, attempted to wake her up,
"Aint the time for this sorta shit Rai," Casey told her, trying to sound stern, trying to sound like the big brother he was, "C'mon, yer aint really gonna let that lil' slash get yer huh? Yer better than that! Stronger than that!"
His words were falling on deaf ears. He tried to appeal to her need to be better, to please their father. He blinked away the tears; warriors like them didn't cry.
"I know yer okay Karai, c'mon jus'...jus' open yer damn eyes, lemme help yer home..."
Not that home was every much of a home, but it was better than here.
"...Karai, please..."
Warriors didn't cry, but big brothers did.
"Please jus'...jus'..."
He had nothing. Even Casey wasn't stupid enough to believe she was getting out of this one alive. He bowed his head, slammed his fist next to her head, hoping it would get her to stir. It didn't. He failed his one duty in life; to protect his little sister...
And now she was gone...
"I'm so sorry Rai..."
| My character takes a fatal blow intended for your character. How does your character react?
You can only leave the foot clan in one way. Death. The clan was your everything. You devoted your whole life to the foot clan. Near about give up the world to make it your world. Every breath you had was for the foot clan. That was how Karai was raised to think. Her whole life was meant to be for the foot clan. She had done every mission given no matter the blood that would cover her hands after. Taking a life wasn't too much for her either. And yet her end wasn't for the foot clan it was for something bigger. Far more meaningful that she would lie down her life for. That didn't mean the sharp burning stick of metal so easily cutting through her like scissors through paper. Karai's whole weight throw against the gunlet her father wore as his blades had sunk through her form. Her breath has laborded and her eyes open wide. Her fingers twitched a little the only sign she took to see this was real. Finding it in her to stare up at her father her glare harden and fierce despite the pain.
Karai was tried of going along with everything just to keep her father placated. Tried of watching him hurt someone she cared about and loved. Like her mother. Knowing the truth of what she faced Karai couldn't let another person she loved be hurt by him again. She reached up to place a hand on her fathers shoulder. She knew tainting this with her own blood was the only way to save Casey though. As she pushed against his shoulder with the last remains of her strength. She knew that alone would seal her fate. But it would also make something clear to her so called farther. She loved Casey more than she fears their father.
Stumbling back as her body wavered coughing up blood from her mouth she only know seemed aware of just how much blood there was watching how it covered the ground. Her arms slowly to hold around her middle. Till knees gave out and she dropped down on to them. Just enough in her mind to kick her reflexes in to least let her hands land on the roof of the building. Her vision was starting to spin, and the puddle of crimson only seemed to grow.
"Karai!"
Casey's voice was the only thing that seemed to break through the over all silence that fell over them all. She felt so tried, so very very tried. Funny she thought she would be in a whole lot more pain. Maybe she had a stronger pain tolerance seeming to forget about the rush of adrenaline that would be rushing through her system right now. Only brought back to reality when she slightly felt her self being shaken by Casey.
"Aint the time for this sorta shit Rai,"
"Cae" Karai tried to speak only to cough harder dropping her head as more blood found it's way out her throat. There was just so much blood.
"C'mon, yer aint really gonna let that lil' slash get yer huh? Yer better than that! Stronger than that!"
Karai squeezed her eyes as if she could somehow stop her body from bleeding if she just thought hard enough. "heh" She manged a ragged breathy laugh. Guess this little slash was going to be worse than Casey may even have thought. She couldn't keep up any more falling forward towards her brother. She just felt so weak must be the blood loss.
"I know yer okay Karai, c'mon jus'…jus' open yer damn eyes, lemme help yer home…"
Home? what home they didn't have a home she thought. She did mange to open her eyes long enough to let her blurry vision look at their father. She couldn't read his expression her mind just could not take in what emotions may be passing over it in the moment.
"...Karai, please..."
She tried her best to shift but her body just wasn't responding in the moment. Best she could do was lift her head up to look at Casey.
"Please jus'...jus'..."
All she could do was offer Casey a smile, despite the blood that now painted her lips red. "Cae, I don't regret it." She manged to word her final thoughts. Year spent keeping Casey at arms length away despite also being the one she was closet to for so long. She knew oh of course, she knew the guilt that would be on his shoulders. But maybe, maybe it be enough for him to finally break himself free from their father's grip. And in some twisted way she knew she just protected Casey from ever meeting this same end. Tainting the blades of their fathers blades with her blood? For Casey? he could never use them on Casey after that. "I'm sorry for all the fights..they seem so dumb now?" She wished she hadn't fought with him as much now. "I wish I bothered to learn more about hockey, bet I would have been better than you at it." She tried to laugh but it just made more blood come out into another coughing fit.
Karai wanted to say so much. It was kind of cruel. How much time she had before to tell Casey everything before. How he became so important to her. How he never replaced her mother but did fill the hole in her live left by the women she never would have known. How sometimes when she closed her eyes to think about her, it was Casey's face that came to mind instead. But she knew her time was running out. As she couldn't stay up and fell to the ground. Her body growing limp and her vision growing dark. It was almost like she just over trained to the point of dropping to the floor of the training room. Casey there to mock her like he would before. The sound of his fist hitting the floor forced her eyes to opens once more. She needed to leave one last string of words at least. Then..then she could rest.
"Casey" she manged to voice talking took so much effort right now. "Don't be stupid, you know who did this to me. So don't you dare let him twist things." Karai pleads a little. Her death was for his freedom. "I'm sorry I should have been nicer. a little at least," She would at least get rid of one regret on the long list she carried to the other side. Her eyes closing she felt weightless for a moment. This time? when he mother crossed her mind though it was her face she saw, her hand reaching out to Karai finally reunited. Karai let her smile soften just one more and then she can rest. "You were my big brother after all, and I didn't make it easy I know." Hand reached out to her mother's own, it felt solid to her.
"I'm so sorry Rai…"
"It's okay Casey." She parted with as she found her self in the arms of her mother at last.

@aflockoffeathers | Continued from [here ]
When Karai returned after Casey's betrayal cause as much of a mess as one could expect she held nothing more than a blood stained black bandana. Baxtar looked it over and confirmed the blood on it was in fact Casey's. Karai spun quite the tale on what happened. It seemed to get the approval of all his men from how they all seemed buy that she tracked him down. Tricked him into thinking she was there to offer him help. Waited for his gaurd to drop, but she saw that Casey was just no longer with the foot anymore. Casey had set the turtles free before they could be used to lure out Yoshi. Oh he story was good who would doubt the heir of the clan who had done so much for it after all? Who wouldn't expect that she would handle the matter of a traitor she had many times before even. Expect this wasn't just some lowly foot solider who no longer could stomach the dedication to the clan. This was Casey and despite the constant bricking they traded over the years Saki knew. And he knew when she handed him proof of his death.
From the look in her eyes, the way she held her head and shoulders, how she was able to return without a hitch. She didn't kill Casey. Karai lacked any sign that would just scream that she had killed her brother in cold blood. Or even as a mercy. Saki knew his kids despite what they wanted to claim and Karai may hold a heaviness to her it wasn't because she had her brothers death on her conscience now. It was something else. He could tell there laid some glimmer of hope behind her gaze no matter how often he questioned her about what happened. Karai was smart she knew to stand her ground knew how to tell a convincing tale. He trained her well after all.
And that's why he knew it wasn't the truth. Even if it seemed possible. It was like Casey vanished after all he did keep a few selected foots solider on watch for Casey. But not even the times they trailed the turtles had they seen evidence of Casey with them. The only other tell? Raphael wasn't often with them at least for a time. One could reason it was because of mourning the loss but maybe it was paranoia Saki just felt it was something else. After sometime Raphael joined his brothers again. Nothing reported seemed to convey loss. He seemed a bit more reception to the foot though. More than his brothers were. Sometimes he left they saw the red turtle leave before. Unable to follow but they reported he left the city line.
Following his suspicious he just knew eventually one of them would make a mistake, one would slip up on this lie. And he wasn't even surprised it was Casey in the end who did it. Karai seemed a bit out of her sorts. The solider set track her got lucky. She made a call to someone panicked and worried because 'he suddenly came back asking to meet up.' Shredder could take a guess who she was relaying the information on and who he was. It wasn't much longer after when they found him. He long lost son Casey. Stood on the roof tops out in the open as if he had no care in the world not even thinking to risk what being seen might lead too. And sure death was the usual answer for leaving but? Saki had other plans in mind for his son.
Soldier's order to take restrain Casey as he walked over to his son. Eye's narrowed down to Casey. "I took you in, I gave you and your sister a home. I gave you a purpose." He states as he lets his blades slip from their hold as if he was going to use them on Casey. It was more a show and display if anything "Despite all your failures I gave you chance after chance because I saw at least some promise in you." He frames a look of disappointment. He let the sharp points of the blades stay in Casey view for a few moments longer. "Oh I could have just left the two of you there. But then where would you be? Eventually your sister and you would be torn apart at best by the time you were too old and still unable todo a thing for her. And despite that all? What did you do? act as if you knew better?" Saki says letting his gaze flicker to them.
"I warned you so much about Hamato Yoshi, hadn't I? all his lies claiming us brothers? Do you truly think anything creature he took in as son would differ?" Of course he was wrong, Raphael wasn't like that. If he could still love Casey? But what would that give Saki to gain here. "I should blame myself." he states lowering his blades. "I didn't warn you enough did I? I left you to make choices on your own and look what happened." Its the word choice that Shredder lays so heavily on when he spoke though. "That was the mistake here letting you think you had any choice at all. A choice to go behind my back, a choice in who you can claim a love for, a choice to leave it all behind." He goes to list all of the crimes Casey held here
"I suppose the option of choice was just too strong for you to handle on your own in the end." He looks to the ninja who had their grips on Casey and nodded for them to being him to his feet. "So we won't make that mistake again. I'll strip you of even the idea of getting a choice in anything this time around." He dose's explain what that means. "What you expected death when we met again?" he offers not surprised after all death was the only real way to leave.
"Death Casey would be your mercy." He threatens as he lets his glare bear heavily on to his son. "Why simply kill you when your not the only one who wronged me in all of this? and not when you can still sever me some purpose in the end." He suggests its not like he didn't have the ability after all and he sure even Casey can make guesses. "You are used to being made into an example after all. It seems Karai needs a lesson and Raphael. And since they found something to come to agree on it seems you still have some point in sticking around."

Foot Clan AU Casey and Karai - [🏒] our muses play a game of ice hockey on a frozen lake
| SEND AN EMOJI FOR A STARTER ! ↳ winter season & holiday based
Karai, was the first one to make her way into the small cabin. Slipping through the now open door back, pressed to old splinter wooden walls. Mask covering part of her face. As she narrowed her gaze searching out into the deep dark sea of darkness in the house. Long ago left abandoned or to seem that way. It now severed as a safe house. Or was meant to be that way. Leaving the foot wasn't really an option. There was only one way you got to leave the clan. Through death. Either by giving it for the honor of the foot. Or by having it taken when you lost that honor. Which was exactly what brought Karai here today.
Ears trained on the silence of the still old house, short of small sounds of the house simply settling. Pipes hidden away behind wood and insulation creaked. As Karai made her steps lighter than a feather moving across egg shells. Near about holding her breath in as she made her way through the house. Her eyes scanning her surroundings as she made her way through the empty house. But it was better to check. More to make sure the place truly was empty. There was evidence of someone being here not long ago at best. Could down water droplets from the coffee pot and the smallest specks of a Ramen season packet on the counter. But it seemed that was all the evidence left behind. Karai wondered if it was pure luck at that.
Soon ease her walk into a more casual stroll. Not minding how each step made the old wooden floor planks squeak with each step she took forward. Clicking her tongue against her teeth annoying because they got here to late. They hit this spot but clearly ran off. And she didn't have much to work with to prevent the trail going cold. Walking over to the window as she peered out there was snow covering the ground, may be able to find the faint evidence of foot prints? She thought to herself before she drifted her attention to the near by lake and gave a roll of her eyes. "Casey"
Pivoting on her heels as she made her way out and off to the frozen over lake she could feel the vine in her head starting pulsate. Fingers starting to curl in towards the palms of her hands as she makes her way over to the froze lake finding her brother out there. "Casey!" She yells as she removes the mask from her face throwing it down into the fresh powered of snow. "We are meant to be tracking down a deserter not playing on the ice." She spoke up managing to keep her tone far more even this time around as she spoke. Cocking her hip to the side as she folded her arms over the front of her chest. "Not practicing trick shots." She expresses clearly unimpressed in the moment. And taking out her annoyance of the cold trail on her 'older' brother who didn't seem to care as much as he should about this whole mission.
If anything Casey seemed to be more enjoying that they were so far away from home. Having be trailing after the traitor far into New Hampton. Karai on the other hand has desired so strongly to be given the mission. After all she was planed to wear the Kuro kabuto one day so how best to make it clear she was next in line then to show any one who dared to leave could? She stepped on the ice testing it a moment should be safe if Casey was skating out on it. It was fairly slick but she was able to balance and slipped out and make her way next to her brother. Slightly annoyed by how he seemed the full opposite her and not taking it serious in the slightest. "You know father isn't going to care how many pucks you slam into that net compared to you being the reason we lost track of them." She goes and used their father's ever threatening aura as a way to get through to Casey.
Before she sighed and looked over to the safe house. Lips pursing a bit as she found it in her to suppress the need to shiver. Even with her armor the icy chill of the air, only colder on top the lake was seeping into through the plates of steel. "Not that is matters this was a bust, they left a good time ago. Made it more a pit stop more than anything." She expressed her annoyance with a huff. They weren't the first to try and leave after all. And in some attempt to extend help to those who tried a sort of trail had been left behind for other foot soldiers. Of course none truly made it all the way clear. Least that was what they were always been told. Which only set more pressure on to Karai's shoulders. If she were to be the first to allow one to slip away for good? Hell what ever her father did wouldn't compare to the shame she would have to carry despite being the new head of the clan. No one would take her serious. She had always known that this was where her path was leading up too. All the harsh training everything. She was being made out to be refined into the perfect foot ninja, nothing less would be able to stand at the head after all.
As he mind was lost in that thought the sound of blades on ice was not helping her as she reached out and near about tore Casey's hockey stick out from his grip. "Would you cut it out!" She snaps bearing her teeth at him. "What about any of this are you not understanding! We are after a deserter! We are on a mission to take blood! That is the only. ONLY" she repeated the word as she pointed a finger towards Casey as if that would somehow get it through his damn thick skull. "Way anyone is allowed to leave our clan Casey! So stop screwing around! And you wonder why father keeps looking at you like you nothing but a fucking joke!"
The venom in her words were not lost on her but in the moment of anger she couldn't control the lashing her tongue just gave. There may be things she was unaware of but she could see what passed over Casey's eye when she spoke like that. Of course she didn't offer an apology. Simply moving to straight her self as she looked over the hockey stick in her hands now. She let her words hang in the air between them even if she didn't mean it it might not matter. A see decided his hockey stick was more interesting, she really didn't mean that. Casey risked his ass for her often and took more blows for her then any other ninja in the clan ever would. Karai wouldn't be surprised if Casey tried to take blame for this failed mission even. It was just the stress talking. But not Karai talking to express that was the case. Stress or not she couldn't let anything slip through. She set the end of the stick down on the ice and slightly tapped it to the ice a few times.
"I still don't get your obsession with this sport." That was her way of saying she didn't mean it by changing topic. Eyeing the puck she moved to slightly tap the side side with the stick. "hmm slippery." She mused in her observation. Letting her gaze shift to the side to look at Casey trying to read his own expression right now before quickly looking away not sure she really wanted to note any expression her words might have painted on to him just then. "What do you call it? A hat trick?" because she did absorb some of what he rambled on about when it came to the sport. It was her way of saying sorry, a way of saying she didn't mean it. Karai wished deeply she could just do that instead. She handed the stick over towards him.
"Think you can do one?" She offers in a faint challenge her smile a tad more sheepish extending her attempt of peace with the offer. "Eh I need to think about where to check next besides, they have to be moving on foot right now with how the weather is." In case Casey brought up the mission. "besides they can get all the way to the boarder and will still catch them." Will as in both of them. She hopes he understands when she makes the concussion attempt to express it would be both of them. Pulling the hockey stick her way now. "Unless your only talk?" She smirks now "I mean easy to claim you can make all those shots with that big gap tooth mouth of yours, but I bet you crumble under pressure. I bet you couldn't even land a puck to the back of the guys head." She offers knowing Casey? he might actually try knocking the guy they were tracking like that.

[Foot FTM Casey Karai]
Casey had made himself comfortable in Karai's room; never asking for permission to enter, and never planning on doing so anytime soon. But he wasn't being annoying, a rare occurrence. No, he was sat there, simply enjoying the silent company of being with his sister. A sister that accepted him for who he was. Sure, she slipped up here and there, but Casey knew she never called him 'Eve' out of maliciousness.
Shifting, Casey leaned his head back, looking up to Karai. The arguments between him and dad were getting worse; it was starting to weigh him down - tremendously at that. Swallowing, Casey's gaze flickered away briefly, before looking back at her,
"Hey Rai," He spoke up, voice softer than intended, "D' yer ever think father will ever accept the fact I'm not Evelyn anymore...?"
Casey isn't stupid, he already knows the answer. But he's searching for hope in a desolate place,
"Or am I gonna be fightin' him 'bout this forever?" He knows he will, "He can accept mutants an' aliens oh but my daughter's actually my son?? Now that's where we draw the line?! Fuckin' prick."
He's just venting now; he supposes it's simply because it feels nice to be heard,
"I coul' take every drug, 'ave every surgery possible, look like a guy through an' through...but he'd still bury me in a fuckin' dress."
Casey sighs, rolls his head back as he stares at the ceiling. He can feel his anger boiling.
"Karai...d'yer think there's anythin' I'm ever gonne be able t' d', that's actually gonna get him t' accept who I am."
| muse interaction
The room was quite as Karai was reclined back against her pillows well aware of Casey in her room. Hard to miss them but they hadn't said a word simply made them self comfortable on the floor near her bed. Normally Casey made her his presence known running their mouth about something to complain about. From Karai stealing their makeup to bitching about their father. Karai always tended to glare when they came in and make some remark about her peace being disturb over it. But When Casey came in to the the room they hadn't said a word. Hardly gave a look towards Karai even as they made their way in and took their current place in the room. Living with someone so long gave a benefit of just knowing a change in mood from the smallest things. So Karai went back to reading the article on her phone's screen. A museum was going to be showcasing a pretty famous katana among it other exhibits here soon.
What a waste letting such a famed weapon sit to gather dust and grown dull.
It wasn't that she wasn't interested in why Casey was in her room of course she was, but if she simply asked? Casey might just grow defensive suddenly. And well their emotions had been all over the place. Not that Karai fully blame them. The dramatics of cutting their own hair and blows with their dad were still pretty fresh in the end. So she simply looked up the the map layout of the museum that the katana was going to be displayed at. It shouldn't be so easy to find the schematics of a building housing priceless artifacts.
"Hey Rai,"
She hummed slightly to show she was listening to them she noticed how soft their tone was when they spoke up so she set her phone down on her bed and moved from her place among her pillows to instead dangle her legs over the side next to Casey looking down at them as they seemed to be thinking. Shocker there maybe those drug were putting thoughts in that empty skull of theirs.
"D' yer ever think father will ever accept the fact I'm not Evelyn anymore…?"
Karai slightly bite at her bottom lip over the question. There was no way even they were that stupid to think the answer would be so easy as a simple 'yes'.
"Or am I gonna be fightin' him 'bout this forever?"
Karai hadn't spoke up yet moving to slightly lean over and rest her check to the back of her hand. At best this was all rhetorical. Karai had to admit she was a bit thrown by Casey's coming out herself. Granted getting told at two in the morning the sister you have always known was now dead? Was a bit much to take in as they stood in front of you with nothing more than a pair of scissors and chunk of hair.
"He can accept mutants an' aliens oh but my daughter's actually my son?? Now that's where we draw the line?! Fuckin' prick."
If karai was honest which she was the answer would be a resounding 'No duh' But she let then rant and vent it out easily hearing the tone in Casey's voice. She had to admit she was still learning her self often needing to correct both when she spoke and thought alone. She just bite her tongue for a moment. She knows the people around Casey do need to also change in away themselves when it comes to something like gender transitioning. A few of the foot soldiers were proving to be dicks about it themselves from what Karai had hear around the compound. Good thing it didn't take to hard a hit to make them remember their place.
"I coul' take every drug, 'ave every surgery possible, look like a guy through an' through…but he'd still bury me in a fuckin' dress."
"Yeah." She didn't mean for that to slip, but how could she not? It was plain as day, that was the case. Far as thier father cared or was even concured about Casey would never be Caseh to him. Sure Karia could understand maybe an internal knee reaction she wasn't immune to it herself. Having felt nearly the same. Maybe that was discrediting herself too much though at best she just kept saying the wrong name and Pronouns here and there and admitly she was still wrapping her head around the thought.
Him though? No thier father was someone you couldn't make budge an inch. They would be here in New York now if you could after all. One single hint of a cule that any Hamato Clan surviors were around more so a man name Yoshi. Was all it took to move his family to New York after all.
So honestly? This seemed near impossible to Karai. As Casey moved thier head back look up towards the ceiling of her room.
"Karai…d'yer think there's anythin' I'm ever gonne be able t' d', that's actually gonna get him t' accept who I am."
"Well, Eve- sorry, Casey." She was quick to catch herself before moving to join him on the floor. "I think you're asking for the impossible here. I mean, it's dad. He's killed off foot soldiers for not performing katas perfect enough." She states it wasn't comforting it kind of wasn't meant to be though. It was more trying to give them the harsh truth in a sense least from where Karai stood she was able to see that truth. A sage distance from the pain came with it as well.
"I feel like it takes a lot more than beating up a pharmacy worker or simply standing up to him." Slightly calling out Casey's past actions not that she faulted them on the latter. Even karai had to have a heated debate with their father from time to time. She doesn get an idea now however considering her own sneaking around to want to explore the area lately. "You know speaking of mutants I happen to have met one of interest to dad." There was only one set of mutants that had the Shrdders attetion lately. More than he ever even bothered to pay to his three kids as of late.
"A turtle mutant." She smirks a little she clearly hadn't yet mentioned this to their father. There was no real reason she was just bored and messing around. She would mention it or maybe someone else could? Was whar she was hinting at here. Hey right now Casey mlre than anyone needed a win.

[2012 FootClan AU FTMCasey Karai] [Rip Karai he's literally just dropping this on you at like 2AM i feel u_u]
He'd maybe should've snuck off to a barber of sorts, but that was just hindsight now. In what may've been rage, or a fit of stupidity, Casey had grabbed the first sharp object he could and lopped off a good chunk of his hair, leaving it uneven and a mess at it now stopped at his shoulders, as opposed to his mid back. Already he felt better though.
Scissors in one hand, a chunk of hair in the other, having not found a place to chuck it, he wanders through the compound until he finds another soul - thankfully the one he was looking for, Karai. He says nothing as he stares at her, clearly tired and upset - probably from another fight with dad. He opts not to acknowledge that though,
"Your older sister is dead," He says without any tact, "Now he's yer brother, an' I go by Casey."
He also decides not to elaborate further.
| Muse interaction
The foot clan was the last of it's kind, a survivor of the feudal era of Japan's history making it's way into the modern age. Set in it's ways from far back then even when it nearly was lost thanks to another clan. It's not easy keeping such a old line around and it nearly fell apart once due to the Hamato clan. Thought to be gone now, it meant the head of the clan after restoring it after he was nearly 'taken over by the Hamato's' as he often would speak of his adoption before learning of his true heritage. And he just seemed to double down on that ever since. Everything he wanted to secure so not to ever lose this again? Truly just turned in some obsession that Karai never cared for. The foot today wasn't really some honorable old ninja clan it was a crime syndicate answering only to the Shredder, though others run the various factions of the Foot Clan across the globe. And she was expected to take that place.
Not just her there were plans for her sisters as well, all raised under the heel of their father. Shrdder didn't raise weak kids. Pressure was on all thier shoulders. Why Karai couldn't help but take chances to sneak away. Which was worth it for a few good moments of peace but not everyone as lucky as she found herself back home making her way to her room? She found the aftermath of what allowed her to sneak away in the first place.
The only other soul that was awake clearly nit in a good place mentally. It was a bit hard to tell till they drew closer to Karai, but she could at least tell that Eve was holding a good chunk of hair and scissors. Eyes a little wide as she tried to read the situation. But honestly no matter how long the pair stood here in silence she might not ever figure it out on her own. Eve's hair looked awful! it was a choppy layers at best on the one side she cut off. Couldn't even pass it off as a asymmetrical cut. Even if you squint and tried. If it was for the sour expression over Eve's face? Karai would maybe laugh. Luckily Eve spoke up first to break the silence of the hallway.
"Your older sister is dead,"
"With how many times I told you to drop dead Evie I gotta say this is a pretty hard sell with you standing in front of me like this." Karai shifted her weight and cock a hip to the side as she lifted up a brow. That sounded just a tad dramatic here. But, lips keep shut as she just looks at them.
"Now he's yer brother, an' I go by Casey."
Oh.
This might not be some over dramatic remark after a spat with their father. Well it may still very well be fueled by that and why Eve went and did well this but. Oh wait no Casey? Why Casey she wonders a moment. Karai in part dose want to ask but it was also two in the morning or around that when she made her way back home. Moving from her spot she makes her way over to them. Lifting a had to the jagged cut side of their hair. "And you still have a trashy sense of style." Karai dose at least offer in response. "You look like you lost a fight with the scissors there."
Karai didn't in truth really understand what Eve, was getting at here. "Did you have an argument with dad?" it might be a without tack to make it out that this was nothing more than a emotional response to a fight with him. But getting a closer look at their expression? It was clear there was more then just those hurt emotions. There was more than that raw sting from some petty scrabble that may have happened when she was away. Looking down to how they were holding the section of hair they chopped off. The cutting their hair bit was still at least a emotional outburst. She pursed her lips a little before meeting Eve's eyes again. "Eve- Casey? You said?" she asks trying to get some conformation.
"Well Casey you are awful with hair, good thing I handle Angel's." The teasing was just how she spoke to Eve and she saw no reason to change that. If anything they might need it most now, as she manged to get their hair out from their grip. Casually chucking it down to the floor. Someone else can deal with that, before she took the scissors from his other hand. Slowly slipped them out so not to risk the blades cutting his hand. As she looked them over. "No wonder these are dull, almost as dull as you." She smirks as she snips the scissors a few time "These aren't meant for hair." She elaborates a little before slipping them into her person, as she grabs for, their wrist. Letting out a drawn out sigh.
"Come on, I cut my own hair so I can try and fix this mess." She offers, as she leads the way to her room. She lets Eve or Casey work through their thoughts as they make their way back to her room.
Karai leading them to the chair by her vanity well she goes and grabs what she needs. "Want me to even it out? or want something short? Personally I find short works best harder to grab after all." She idly discusses as she finds her set of scissors and combs. Making her way to stand behind her well now brother? She runs her fingers under the choppy side well waiting for them to answer. "Maybe a bob even?" she offers as she measures out how much she would need to cut in order to even the mess out.
"Wanna tell me about it?" She suggests soon after, about the whole sister is dead part of what happened with their Dad. Karai left for them to decide her meaning. As she slowly started to sip their hair going to even the job out for now. That would be a start at least depending on whatever was going through their head fixing them up would at least hopefully help lift their mood a little. Part of here could tell the run in was an accident. They were looking for her and she wasn't around. Was that before or after this though? Karai was the only one always dealing with that overbearing weight Shredder put on her own shoulders.
Being the heir to the clan she had to know ever aspect of it. From the ninja stuff to his businesses prospects. She couldn't be weak or yield and in most cases she didn't. Outside this.
Eve was no different all the same training the same teaching methods even. Maybe worse Karai was at least born into this Eve had to be shaped and molded to fit in correctly. With this whole they are her brother named Casey event going on now? Karai wonders if it relates. They always were an escapes for her though so for once she could at least offer that back. Sister, brother? Eve or Casey? doesn't matter what matters? was making them not look like they have a fight with a blender.

[Foot!Casey and Karai]
Well, he had said bye to Raphael, apologised, the least he could do, before ending it with a lie claiming he was heading home. Really, Casey didn't have a home anymore, if he ever did have one. He was a mess, muddled and exhausted of it all. He had one more goodbye to give, too much of a coward to even head back to the compound to do it. He'd write proper 'goodbyes' later, when he was settled at his final place.
Sat at a bus stop, waiting for his ticket out of there, Casey tugged out his phone. He doesn't have many numbers, quickly finding Karai - 'little sister with a small heart', he always called her 'shredder junior', but he knew she was so much better. Phone to ear, he waited for her to answer,
"Hey, yer a'right?" Casey asks, voice soft, "I uhm, hey, thanks for helpin' me save the guys, yer really put yer neck out for me, an', aint anythin' I'm ever gonna be able t' d' t' make that up t' yer."
Well, outside of getting out of her way forever,
"Listen, think it's gonna be better I stay at the Turtles lair for a while, yanno, jus' 'til dad calms down a lil' an' doesn't kill me on sight," He forces a small laugh at that, "I'll be back, I dunno, month or somethin'? Eh, yer know what's dads like," Casey shrugged, "Can yer d' me a favour?" As if he hadn't asked for enough of those, "Jus' tell Angel I love her an' be home soon okay?"
He'd never be able to face his baby sister again. Not after this,
"Thanks Rai, for everythin', I really d' 'ppreciate it," Casey swallows, "I'll uh, yeah, bye..."
Hitting hang up, Casey went far enough to turn off the phone completely. Leaning against the back of the bus stop, he waiting for his ticket out of there. For him to head towards his end.
| Muse Interaction [part one]
The very first thing Karai did was take Angle somewhere out from their fathers range of anger. She was sure he wouldn't out right aim or gun for the youngest but once the word got out? That not only was Casey no where to be seen but neither was the turtles? It was only a matter of time he put two and two together. Casey nearly got them out before getting caught after all so who else would have done it again? Somehow her own involvement seemed to go with out notice. And for Angel's sake? good. The air of the hideout was not good, it was a quite that not even a clan of ninja were known for. Fear was thick, even those who thought them self near Shredder's level like Dogpound and Xaver, were keeping their head's low after. One misstep or misspoken word was all it would take to set the Shredder off. Karai had been keeping Angle in their room. Waiting for well she wasn't sure.
Not like Casey could just slip back in like nothing happened. Not unless he had a death wish that is. And its not like they could sneak him back and hide him like the time they did with a stray dog before either. It was all this unsureness that was just nawhing away at her as she stood by her bedroom door. The benefit of having Shin around was she was good at distracting Angel who was a little in the dark on everything going on.
Far as she was sure Casey got away. He did get away right? They didn't follow? No they made sure they couldn't be once they were away they were away. Much as she hate to admit it they were good about slipping away from them after all. Eyes closed a moment Casey's safe she has to keep that in mind but why haven't they heard back from him? Or about him? When she feels her phone buzz from inside her pocket she nearly jumps out of her skin. Trying to keep her reaction subtle as she sure she can hear Shin telling Angel some old fairy tale she slips her way out from her room.
Door bearly makes a sound when she closes it behind herself and starts to make her way down the hall. The eeir chill dosent help. As she pulls her phone to her ear "Cae?"
"Hey, yer a'right?"
The sound of his voice is enough to settle her nerves in the second it crosses her ears. A soft sigh under her breath given. She pauses as she's walking not fully trusting how empty halls seem to be. She shifts her gaze to the windows nearby as she makes her way out. "Am I alright? I'm not the one who pulled that stunt now, am I?" Her tons were a little sharp, but that was how she best showed her concern. In her own special way to talk, especially when it came to Casey. Scaling the window edge, she easily set her feet on the concrete rails that gave her a boost to the roof. It would be easier to notice anyone out in the open this way at least and less likely for her to be followed. She wants to ask if he's okay in turn, but The words just don't quite leave the tip of her tongue. He sounds like he's alone?
Well wasn't like the turtles had a peaceful holding they were getting what Shredder felt they had coming to them when locked up after all. She's well aware those like Xaver and Bradford got a chance for some special 'treatment' to some of the turtles. Shredder hadn't stayed out it himself. Maybe they were licking wounds and Casey slipped away to talk?
"I uhm, hey, thanks for helpin' me save the guys, yer really put yer neck out for me, an', aint anythin' I'm ever gonna be able t' d' t' make that up t' yer."
She raises a eyebrow over the thank you. It just seemed so off. She knows how much it meant for him to atone for it but still. "Well I did owe you right?" She lamely excuses it behind. She was just lucky that no one knew how involved she was with the turtles escape after all. Too good if Shredder had yet to show himself to her so to express his disappointment after all.
Hearing you voice is enough Casey.
She simply smiles to herself, moving to sit down she rested her back against the stone tower behind herself. He's out she can at least take comfort in that fact alone right?
"Listen, think it's gonna be better I stay at the Turtles lair for a while, yanno, jus' 'til dad calms down a lil' an' doesn't kill me on sight,"
"I figured you would" Casey could never come back after all. Not after everything that happened. He went against their father, the shredder. You don't really get to just come back from that after all. Casey offers a laugh and part of Karai can't help but wonder if he just saying it as a joke? Because he knows the truth is that he can't ever come back. There is a good chance he would in fact be killed on sight if he were after all.
"I'll be back, I dunno, month or somethin'? Eh, yer know what's dads like,"
Her face falls, still taking this as her brother trying to down play it all. Maybe he meant he be laying low for a few months. That would be for the best really. She's a bit shocked Casey was with the turtles but well maybe he did really have something with Raphael in the end. He had to if he was willing to go through with all of this after all wouldn't he? Maybe that meant thing for them were getting worked on as well? She would like that for Casey. He seemed happier when ever around that turtle after all. Nothing compared to like when he was home at least. More like when they would escapes.
He needed away from here that's all she knew for sure.
"Can yer d' me a favour?"
Tumblr media
"you know the deal was one Cae, already pushing your luck? what figure that since your not home i'm less likely to get at you?" she was kidding of course, "I guess it wouldn't hurt though. What need me to sneak your things to you or something?"
"Jus' tell Angel I love her an' be home soon okay?"
"oh right course." She kind of over looked needing to explain why Casey wouldn't be home. She was going to need to talk things out to Angle. Oh she wasn't looking forward to that in the slightest. She thought reaching up to pinch the bridge above her nose. Now she was a bit annoyed with Casey leaving her to clean his messes up. Not really more minor annoyance at her brother if anything. Already rack some idea in her head she felt being honest to an extent would be best. Angel was very attached to Casey but they can't risk putting Casey in danger as well. Jeez this was such a unplanned idea and not a method Karai went with for reasons like this. But well with how everything ended up? it wasn't really easy to plan a back door to this all.
"Thanks Rai, for everythin', I really d' 'ppreciate it,"
"Jeez you just learn that word or something? sounds weird when you say it."
It was weird that he kept saying it, not that Casey wouldn't be grateful sure but something just didn't sit right and Karai just wasn't sure how to explain why that was the case. Not once had Casey joked or remarked on anything she said either. Then again the way he spoke about Angle just now? No, no course it wasn't anything like that.
"I'll uh, yeah, bye…"
"Casey?!" of course there was nothing on the other end she could hear the clear tone of the call being ended. Slowly lowering her phone done she laid her eyes to the scene Casey's face still there since she hadn't closed the call out herself.
Something just isn't right, she knows something isn't right but there nothing to really tell her it isn't right. Something is just telling her that something is off something is wrong, with Casey. But they did it hadn't they? Took care of the issue here? Casey felt awful for betraying the turtles so torn up over it. Karai of all could understand why he done it. They grew up the same way Shredder word was absolute after all. Karai just figured his whole thing with Raph wasn't a big deal at first. Why she didn't out right get on his case maybe she should have more? That's why he went against them right? Because he couldn't do it after getting close to them? She knows they are evil least what they were always made to believe. But Karai had a hard time fully seeing that. When Casey would come back after being around them he always seemed. Different. In a good way.
She tried to call him back but the call didn't go through. They lived underground? Maybe the signal was bad? She simply sighs out heavily before moving to rest her head back to cool cold stone bricks. Silently trying to clam the worry in her mind. Telling herself there was nothing to worry about.
"Casey would make fun of me if he knew I was freaking out without him here." Karai simply says to herself, trying to take comfort in that alone. He would tease all 'Aw yer worried 'bout me' and smirk at her in that way that always annoyed her. When she denied it he'd not believe her and tease her for caring about him.
"What do you me with out 'im here?"
Karai's eyes snapped open, as she moved to jump the voice didn't phase her as much as the sight of the turtle. Red bandana and full blow attitude as he made himself more known to her, dropping down in front of her he was pretty quick to spin to look at her. Getting into her face best he could with the lack of height on his own end.
"Don' mess wit' me Karai tell me where Casey is now!"
"Uh can see why he seemed to get along with you now." Karai says only annoying the turtle when he was made to feel his request was being ignore at the time.
"Karai I ain't got time for this! where's Casey!"
"He said he was with you what did you lose him already?" Karai retorts with moving to stare the turtle down. It only now started to phase her at all. First to fold as she stepped back looking at him a moment before she let her attention shift on to her phone. "He said he would be with you and the others?" She didn't need to ask from how Raph's own expression changed a moment. "He said he was here?" she watched him look away.
"what did he tell ya?" Raphael turns to ask "Anythin' at all to go off of?"
"...to tell Angle he loves her." Now she understands the way that unsettled her from before. Quickly she tries to redial him again but again that automatic message comes on saying it can't connect. Doesn't stop her trying again and again. If he's not with Raph then where is he where he can't get the call? She hiss slightly and tosses her phone. Launching it clear over the roof top as she pants heavily.
"yeah I can see how you're siblings." Raphael dryly expresses stepping over to peer over the edge. After some point the light from her screen couldn't be seen anymore.
"I can't believe he duped me! Casey of all people! That idiots never be able to trick me! Years of me winning fights, or playing tricks to get my way and this!" She slightly rants out.
Slowly though that moment of annoyance fades off, she feels a chill creeping between plates of armor. The hairs on the back of he neck starting to stand on end. These unease shes been trying to push out of her mind was only growing heavier. Casey lied to the both of them? Why else would Raphael risk being here now after all? She wants to be annoyed at how obvious that is but part of her wishes to just focus on the idea of her brother being safe. But he's not safe. Her eyes start to widen as she moves to stand up a little. The hide out is so quite right now in a way it shouldn't be. No hollers from her father no one coming to get her. There's a reason she and Angel were being left alone.
"Casey took off on his own I don't know why but- he won't be safe on his own they are looking for him." She starts rambling explaining to Raphael, only beside he was there. "Did he tell you anything?" she turns his question back on to him now. Raphael just mentioned a lot of sorrys, she got some herself. "I don't think they have him but we need to find him first!" She suddenly stresses. "he doesn't say sorry! not really not ever! and he never says byes like they are so indefinite" Karai further explains.
Tyring to get them to follow and understand her points here. She has nothing else to turn to nothing for a clue. All she knows is hes not some where safe, hes clearly in a bad state of mind, hes in danger in more ways then one. Hand son the turtles shoulders now. He saw Casey last, sure he was in the same boat but he was the only thing to an answer she might have. Raphael did seem to be slowly piecing things on his own end almost like his thoughts could be seen moving behind those eyes. Before he seemed to settle on a random thought.
"Hey do ya know where 'hat farm house he an' his family use ta go to it?" Raphael.
"The farm house?" She repeats, but no that did make sense. Where else would he go? She did recall Casey talking about it Angle didn't seem to remember it much. She recalled them planing to run away there once when their Dad really pissed them off. So she did know where to go. "I do but why?"
"Casey always sounded happy talkin' 'bout it..I dunno what he's up to but I know when he 'bout to do something stupid. If he's saying good bye first?"
"Casey would want to go somewhere with good memories." She adds on. The chill in the air is near warm compared to the run going through her now. Would Casey really try and hurt himself? He seemed so regretful over the phone hell since he left. But no Casey.
Karai tried to get her thought to connect but no matter how hard she tried they didn't seem to want to connect in any way. She didn't get much time to try before Raphael grabbed at her arm tugging her a little all to a natural reaction for her to glare and jerk her arm back from him.
"Look we need to find him okay!" Raph snaps not to found of this set up but he deal with that later. "He's alone, after everything an' -an" She watched how he looked away. she saw the same fear in them that was rising in herself. Before swallowing.
"Fine."

[Foot Casey and Karai - everytime i write Casey being good to Karai i feel more bad about what i do to him. Shame that 0 time anything is still 0 uwu]
It was nice when they escaped the compound to just be outside. No missions, no foot nonsense, just, three siblings having a good time. It felt normal, for once. Normal was never something Casey would want before now.
Up on the roofs, Casey kept an eye on Angel, making sure she didn't get too close to the edge. Though, he's soon distracted by Karai and something on her phone. He raises an eyebrow, merely watching her, trying to figure out what she was trying to do. He merely kept watching for a moment, starting to smirk.
Did his sister, only one month younger, seriously not understand how to use her own phone?
Oh Casey had jokes. He was so ready to tease the absolute Hell out of her...but he didn't. Eh, maybe he was just in some sort of good mood - being away from their dad did always lift his spirits and leave him feeling the need to be nicer,
"Uh, Rai, yer gotta hold down yer finger t' get the 'save' prompt up," Casey pointed out, sounding genuinely useful about it, "'Ere, like this."
Leaning over, ignoring whatever she's saying, he shows her what he meant and saved said photo for her, not even questioning what it iwas,
"There, now it's in yer photos an' yer can d' whatever with it."
The moments of them being good siblings weren't rare, but certainly wasn't common,
"Never say I don't d' anythin' nice for yer."
| Muse interaction
It maybe wasn't always the best idea to go and leave the hideout when she had a disagreement with the shredder. And worse it likely wasn't helping her side when she roped Casey and Angel to go along with her. Karai knew Shredder would get annoyed learning she once again went off, and the fact Casey and Angel were with her would just add to his annoyance on top of it all. Which was Karai's main goal here after all. She just got so annoyed with their father sometimes, he never, ever listened to her. When she found those bots the turtles were fighting, when it came to those same bot having schemes going on in the city the foot basically owned. It truly made her feel like tearing her hair out at times. If it had nothing to do or connected with his whole revenge plan he just could not be bothered to care.
Well clearly if these robots were fighting the turtles they should look into it. But of course, once again he was too focused on his own deal/ Jeez guy needs a hobby or something. She could care less for his whole vendetta. If he wasn't going to listen to her? Then fine she wouldn't be around to ignore. She wouldn't be surprised if Casey was made to go get her, so she got to her older brother first. Even if that age difference between them wasn't that much she had to admit making use of the apparent advantage of being seen as a little sister to Casey had an advantage. Twice as effective since she had Angel also.
Sure maybe Karai could have just gone up to Casey and told him she just needed air and a chance to cool off and Casey would tag along. But then she would have to admit that was her issue. And there was no way she was going to do that in front of Casey. So instead she just played her games to get her way. It was nice to be out with the both of them though. No real plan or idea in mind just going out into the city. A pit stop at some corner store, mainly for Angel before they retreated to the rooftops to just enjoy some freedom. Angel seemed happy with her treat well Casey was mothering henning making sure she didn't stray to far near the edge of the roof top.
With nothing to really do Karai had fished her phone out, she never used it much. Outside texting Shin and sometimes Casey. Casey and Angel's voices were nice background noise as she idly tapped her screen and find herself mindlessly scrolling through Twitter. Her feed wasn't fully of much mostly its was nice aesthetic images taken around Japan. Like cherry blossom that had fallen into near by rivers. Or some major tourist trap areas. She kind of missed Japan she had to admit, though it been years since she was last there. Would be nice to go back with Casey and Angel around and show them around. She let that though of places they could go entertain her mind a moment. She felt like Angel would love going to some of the animal Cafe's. Casey might like to go to Akihabrar since it was a hot spot for anime.
"oh?" he eyes soon laid on the next post, it was for cover art of some groups CD they were going to be handing out at their next show. A future excuse to dip out Karai figures. She kind of liked the snakes used in the work. You can save these photos right? It be a cool background for her phone at least she figures?
Slightly furrowing her brow as she kept tapping around on the post. She saw where she could like it and share it even but where was the save option? Why where there two different sharing options? One to retweet? and one to send to others? maybe she could send it to herself and save it that way? Could she do that? hmm maybe she could just send it to shin?
"Uh, Rai, yer gotta hold down yer finger t' get the 'save' prompt up,"
"I have to what?" Karai answered with, maybe because she was able to catch the genuineness to her brothers voice in the moment. That her own lacked any air of sarcasm.
"'Ere, like this."
Karai slightly leans back when Casey leans over getting in her personal bubble "You could just told me" she slightly huffs out but watches as he moves his finger to tap the image and then save it on to phone exactly like he told her to do it so.
"There, now it's in yer photos an' yer can d' whatever with it."
Karai, went to excite the app and move into her gallery and sure enough there it was. "Oh" She slightly shifted her attention his way as she lowered her phone a bit.
"Never say I don't d' anythin' nice for yer."
"whatever I could have figured it out myself." She snide with a little turning away from him. She wasn't going to thank him in the first place but now she was even less likely to do that since he wanted to go a get smug about it all. Karai lifted her phone back up eyeing the photo for a second. She was in for more though, she rolls her eyes and hands her phone over to Casey a sleint way to admit her defeat,
"so can you show me how to make that photo my background?" Karai waits a moment before she fixes a look at Casey "Don't even start with me Cae!" She quick to snap with aware of the stupid look on his face when she actually asked for his help this time around. Guess it was lucky for her being away from their father seemed to put Casey in a nicer mood. Even if teasing followed soon after. Watching Casey go about a few more taps on her screen. Even backout out to show it was now the background on her photo.
Karai offered a faint smile once she had what she wanted. It's not like Casey was a jerk, well Casey was a jerk that was his personality but he wasn't mean is what she meant. Least not to Angel or even Karai herself he could be pretty nice when he wanted. Karai decided to take in the moment to show him the image on her phone. "for this band I follow here and there, I went to one of their shows last month by chance when I was meant to be on patrol." She smirks with her admission to that. Just offering a little bit Casey's way shes not even really sure what got her so talkative maybe it was just because he was being nice himself?
"anyway, they play some stuff you might like actually, uh hold on i think some of thier shows are on video?" Karai pulled her phone more her ways opening up another app as she went into the search to try and find them. Least that bit she was able to do herself, Casey nicely mentioned making Karai idly bump him with her shoulder before she pulled a result up. Sharing the screen with him to watch.
Karai wasn't one to open up much but with Casey? well she was willing to pray open just a little. Share her secrets of where she takes off to and even her open interests here and there. Around her brother well there was like some veil of safety there. Something that made it feel okay to be a person. Something not often allowed. Least with Casey it was.

[Foot Clan Casey for Karai]
Casey merely stood in the doorway of Karai's bedroom, silent, for once, as he watched his three sisters - Angel, Karai, and Shinigami. It was pretty common for them to hang out together, he assumed it was just a girl thing. It had him smiling though, seeing them like this. Just relaxed, having fun, as if they were a normal family, that did normal family things.
Sigh...if only they could be that though.
Stepping inside a little, he lifted a hand, and rubbed the back of his neck, making himself known
"I know this is like some 'girls night' thing an' I aint a girl, but uh, I aint a guy either - I'm just Casey."
And Casey sometimes got lonely when all his sister's hung out without him. Not like there was really anyone in the clan he could chill with, and he was spending sometime from the Turtles, he didn't want to blow his cover instantly, so that meant some distance sometimes. It sucked, and he wasn't exactly subtle about it either as he tries to shrug nonchalantly,
"So, uh, yer got room for one more?"
| Muse interaction
Karai rested back against the wall of her room eyes closed a moment not all to apart of the conversation going on between Angel and Shin in the moment. Enough to know they were in the least speaking between themself. Angel always seem pretty in awe of Shin who always was more than happy to play in to that fact herself 'preforming' some trick for the youngest girl. Karai peeked an eye open to watch Angel's face a moment as Shin was show boating her trick to the girl. It was nice, she wish she could better word and describe the feeling settling over her shoulders but that was the truly the only word that stood out. It was something she only knew after Father brought these new kids in to her life, and claimed they were her new brother and sister. Karai had to be honest was a bit of a spoiled child, used to being the only real kid of Shredders. That gave her some special treatment among the foot clan so two new kids he brought in? As childish as it may be she felt threatened by their mere existence.
Seems so long forgotten a time when she didn't have them at all. Karai didn't like to stay in that thought for long. How dark and bleak life just was. It was just her and her father, his pride and joy all she strive to be and become was what he wished of her. So why add more? Wasn't she enough? Funny how childish jealously can work in ones mind. Attention shifting when she noticed a third presence. Looking at Casey standing in the door way. Hm guess he was in the compound tonight and not running off with the turtles? She had to wonder how much of that was him simply fulfilling his mission needs. And how much for other needs. Kind of like now, something about how he was standing there in the door way had her attention the most. He looked lonely. Casey finally made his way in to the room, seeming to gain the attention from Shin and Angel in the process of course Angel was more than happy to have her older brother here now too. Shin moving to relax where she was sitting. Offering nothing more than just a glance to show she was acknowledge Casey's presence. Playing nice it seemed. As Casey moved to rub at the back of his neck seeming a bit awkward when he went to speak up just now.
"I know this is like some 'girls night' thing an' I aint a girl, but uh, I aint a guy either - I'm just Casey."
Yep he was lonely. Not that Karai fully understood why that was the case in the first place. He could just be around her or Angel anytime he wanted? Angel loved him for one and always liked to spend time with either of them. They may be her adopted siblings but Karai did have to point out the fact that they were related. So Casey did always have Angel. Hell Karai often went into his room under the guise of simply there to annoy him as a sort of invite on her own end. Maybe Casey sometimes liked to be alone? Though she was aware Casey seemed to spend time around some of the clans foot ninja.
Didn't need to be a genius to know what was going on there. Nor did you need to be one to understand something about being around the turtles seemed to be effecting him as well. Mainly Raphael. Not like Casey would say a thing about any of that, Casey knew what he had to do. Karai chopped it up to Casey weird interests. A so called monster fucker, she didn't get it she didn't want to get it. Casey might just bee seeking to fulfill a need who knows.
Okay Karai cared. It was easier to pin it down as Casey just playing the game. Raphael was pretty stand offish. She's dealt with him before and how quick he is to be suspicious after all. So in theory getting in close with the enemy made sense. Least it was the lie Karai was ready to give and back up if Shredder ever found out or saw something like she had. Which made her feel annoyed. Even if it was him screwing around just to do so. Could least tell her. Why don't you just fuck off with your turtles sometimes she wanted to snap with even. he seemed to like being around them.
Now she was annoyed again she hasn't felt this way since Casey and Angel were brought home from the foster home they were in before. Was she really jealous about the time he spent with the turtles. Seemed she had been quite for far too long as Casey added on to his question.
"So, uh, yer got room for one more?"
Tumblr media
Karai offers a faint scoff "Since when did you learn to be polite hmm" why would you feel the need to ask? "hanging around those turtles starting to effect you or something?" She counties to taunt a small way to snap over it all. That only Shin seemed to note as she paid a glance towards her, smiling that knowing grin. Karai ignored her and moved to stand up. as she made her way over to Casey, grabbing on to his arm. "You might just be Casey, but you'll still need to play along with our plans got it?"
They weren't even really up to anything at the time, just more all sitting in her room. Angel joining in and Shin just can't resist a chance to show off to such an impressionable audience. But Shin always knew when to play along and Angel was no better than Karai when it came to having Casey do what they wanted.
"What you think Angel? Touch up his eyes maybe?" Not that Casey ever seemed to mind getting some paint on his face but that didn't mean she wasn't going to mess with him, a tad bit of punishment for ditching them so much. As shin held out a few choice for eye liner. Well sliding over the palettes of eye shadow ngeks way. Shin moving over already asking Angel's thoughts for colors.
Karai moving to sit tugging Casey with herself he had to follow her lean and take a spot on the floor with her. She opted for the liquid eyeliner in favor of the brush nip end. Smirking a bit "like i said gotta go along with what we were up to."
Karai doubles down before she untwists the handle of the eye liner and sets it to Casey's face. There's no way Casey dosent at least expect Karai's aim her but of course the push over he was put up with it as she painted the black liner thickly around his eyes letting it drip here and there even. "Look cay you're gonna be the pretties of us all." She chuckles a little even if Casey was unaware of her motives he for sure would have it cleared up now. It was a harmless prank and Karai was sure she was going to be next so Casey could get his revenge in turn. Oh well shell play nice since it would mean getting him to stick around. Instead of sulking off alone or worse.

[Foot Casey and Karai]
As soon as he had a second, he geared up; Casey had a plan, one that would definitely get him killed, but he'd do it if it meant even one of the Turtles found freedom. He just had to talk to someone before he started doing, whatever plan he ends up coming up with.
Heading to Karai's room, he doesn't bother knocking, throwing open the door. Hockey stick in hand, mask on as he looks at her, he breathes heavily, that known rage burning,
"I won our bet Rai," He gets straight to the point, "An' I know what I wan' - yer gonna help me break the Turtles outta 'ere."
| Muse Interaction [part 1][part 2]
There was a lot of buzz going around the foot right now. From mere amazement over Casey's success to actually succeeding in his mission success. To talk about how they have the turtles captured and stored away in cells. Karai could hear all sorts of whispering working around the place as she made her way through the building she had been there as well when the turtles were captured. Clearly unable to get free, when the truth finally came out and Casey reveled the whole plan to them. How he never was on their side, how it was nothing more but a trick all for Shredder's plan.
And how he spoke to Raphael.
Why did that land such an unsettling feeling to her shoulders. Karai knew the plan, hell she was pissed Casey got trusted with this over herself. Karai made sure Casey kept on track with this whole plan after as well because she wasn't going let him screw the whole scheme up for their father. Who was she trying to kid sure some of that was true but Karai didn't do it as if she was babysitting her brother. Sure they fought, sure he got under her skin, sure he was a menace, sure he was nothing but a pain in her neck. Casey was her brother however, someone she would sneak out to see hockey games. Someone she and Angel would rope into doing whatever they wanted. Karai even loved watching him and Shin fight a bit because he had to make sure Shin wasn't getting Karai into any trouble. Casey would sit and let Angel 'make him pretty' even too. Those rare moment they hung out the two of them and he didn't annoy her. Secrets kept between them never needing to be ask to be. Then seeing him back there, looking down at the turtles talking as he was. That wasn't Casey.
She knows it was for their father's sake, because she knew Casey's secret he loved Raphael, hell she banked her most prized weapon that he grew attached to the whole Hamato clan even. They were raised to believe they were the enemy that Hamato Yoshi was this evil demon and if he raised those turtles they had to be as well. Karai already was wavering on this fact herself, on if what the foot stood was was even right to began with. Things she had to think about because it was hers to inherit one day. And at one time sure she had no issue with how they ran things, she didn't care about her fathers vendetta at best she found it annoying how fixated he was on the whole thing. Listening to Casey though, thats how they are all meant to be isn't it? That's how they were already?
Karai had finally reached her room in what felt like years it took, from when she snaked her way into the holding area where they had all the turtles. Seemed she wasn't the only one Angel needing to make threats towards the red banded turtle of the group. Listening to what he had to say how he claimed to hate Casey now. Part of of her felt a twinge at that. Sympathy. Was it towards the turtle or her her brother though? Karai just wasn't sure. This just wasn't right and she knew it wasn't right. She knew how Casey acted wasn't right, it wasn't him! Karai often got after him for needing to be serious and whatever but seeing Casey like that? Seeing him being so cruel.
Walking towards her vanity, she let herself slump into her seat. Head falling into her hands as she was just trying to sort through all the thoughts going through her head right now. Karai was basically raised to be the next Shredder. She had always fallen in line. She knew the way of the clan she had to keep them be a prime example. So why was her mind so filled with memories? They won! she should be proud of what Casey seemed able to pull off in the end, and yet? Eye shifted to the green and pupils into slits she went to shake her head, trying to clear her thoughts. If she let herself lose her grip from overworked emotions.
Head snapping to the sound of her door slamming to the wall, and her eyes stuck to their more snake apperence. So much for that.
"Casey what the hell!-" she let's her words die in the air as she takes a look at her brother. All geared up with the hockey pads and stick even and skull painted mask pulled over his face. Didn't stop her from being able to hear the sound of his breath, bounce off the plastic of the mask he wore. Face falling a bit as she took over his whole stance right now. Casey looked ready to start a war from hiw he was gripping the hockey stick in his hands. It been a good time since she seen him this mad. "Cae?" She offer moving to stand up from her seat.
"I won our bet Rai,"
"Bet?" She questioned back slow to recall when this all began, that’s right she made a bet with him hadn't she? Okay so what did that have todo with his current state? Recalling hiw he was back with father slightly made a seed of worry plant in the back if her head, narrowing her eyes a moment as she stood tall now. "Yeah and what is it you want then?"
"An' I know what I wan' - yer gonna help me break the Turtles outta 'ere."
Nothing but slience filled her room as she started blankly at her brother, he eyes slowly to blink and return to the more human. Lifting a arm slowly possibly git for any number of weapon she stash on herself. Her Wakizashi, shurikins maybe even but instead her hand moves to cover her mouth when she's started to laugh. The motion made to moffle out the sound as she fall back down on her chair. Near falling right off the thing as she threw her bath hands over her mouth to keep from brusting into the laugh that was rocking through her form. Tears pickling at the corners of her eyes.
She wasn't laughing at Casey, though in all truth, this sudden decision might be something to laugh over. Or at in general considering the risks. No, it was relief. Casey was still Casey at the end. He wasn't going to let their father suddenly change him into the curel person he pretended to be before. He saw someone in trouble that he cared for and was crazy enough to do something about it. Once she worked her laugh out from her she wiped at an eye and looked at him, smiling a little softer than she wanted to be in that very moment.
"You really are in love that turtle aren't you nut case?" She turns her head to the side a moment as she lower fingers to tap at her chin a moment. "It's not going to be easy you knkw father is going to make sure they are surcure I got in there just fine but sneaking four turtles out? Getting out at all isn't going to be easy." She moved to stand and walled over to him.
"Look if we're doing this we have to do it now and we have to do it fast. Thar means no arguing no questioning my orders got it? " Grabbing at his arm and already pulling him so theu could get out "I'll cover you, so you can get in but once your all out...just keep going no matter what got it!"
She demands then offers a smirk his way "what I did say no questions asked righ?"

⏰ - 2k12 Karai Foot!Casey
| Send ⏰ to peer into my muses memories
Growing up in the foot was not ever going to allow for a normal childhood. Less so if you were the daughter to to the clans head and from the moment of birth expected to be the heir. Meaning Karai had to be a shining example of what the foot was she couldn't be weak she couldn't once stumble. So her training was always extreme compared to the other members of the clan. All matters of weakness had to be worked out from her. Pride was one trait she built up because of all of this. Heaveily panting, and her body aching even when her chest lifted simply to breath.
She moved her feet though and stood tall, she wasn't going to let this stupid boy father claimed was her new brother out due her after all. Stupid Casey. Had joined her in training sessions, he could fight properly. It was all raw and pure emotion driving his movements. Sloppy at best but result were there. What got to Karai was father seeming to praise that. She had the forms memorized! She was leagues above the older members even! She wasn't going to let this stupid new kid make her look bad.
Her fault for letting focus shift when she missed blocking a kick correctly. Her arm was twisted expose a weak spot as their kick slammed just a bit too hard against the bone. Karai's eyes squeeze tight and a gasp left her hissing softly as she moved to hold her arm. She tried to move it but it hurt, didn't matter she can't stop. She adjusts her stance again no matter how her arm throbbed in pain Slowly moving to lift her head and open her eyes she blinked a few times. Staring at Casey's back, listening to him as he took a protect stance in front of her.
But why?
------
"Hey Stupid" Karai casually called to Casey as slide the door of his room open leaving it like so as she made her way in. Looking at him in his current sour state. She just smirked kick them well their down, read across her expression. "Oh is the great Casey still bent outta shape for getting chewed out during training?" She taunts a bit before she looks around his room. She had years to get used to Casey's unique taste of interests. Clearly could tell some of his belongs had been tossed around in a classic little Casey tantrum.
"Jeez you aren't six anymore aren't you too old to still be throwing fits when things don't go your way?" She continues to push as she smiles at him. Shrugging her shoulders at the expression he fixed her with. Lip tugging into a pout, brow all knotted up as he tries to fix a fierce glare to his brown eyes trying to get her to leave clearly wanting to just sulk in his room she just gave a roll of her eyes "You look like you ate a lemon."
Karai goes to say as she starts making her way to Casey's dresser now. "Oh wah wah poor Casey got a little scolding, as if your not used to that?" she starts to pull drawers open making a face when she peers inside "I swear if I come across any of that weird monster junk your all into I'm beating you with it."
Of course there is a sudden protest from Casey, moving from where he was to try and tell Karai to get out of his stuff. She ignores and shuts the draw moving to the next, digging through trying to find something not gross looking in there. Still wearing her smile as she dose her job of getting Casey railed up listening to him trying to make her stop as if she ever listen to him. She tugs something suitable free and holds the first up idly turning it in her hold. Did Casey own anything that wasn't just a mess? outside the training Gi's they wore. It'll have todo they needed to get going soon anyway. Moving to stand as she tossed the clothes into Casey's face. Smiling still when that did nothing more then added to his bad mood.
"Are you done?" She simply asks giving Casey no idea what she was up to as she idly trailed eyes around his room letting them land on a jacket of his, it was the most hideous thing she had seen but eh it'll do. Happily ignoring Casey more as more questions came out of his mouth and she made her way over to take it from it resting place. "I rather not get there late so if you could hurry and get change that be helpful alright?" As if Casey had any clue what was going on which is why she kept talking as she was. Annoying him was simply her privilege and she abused it at any given chance. Pulling his jacket on sighing as if she had any right to be the one losing her patience here.Only changing her tune when Angel joined them at the doorway to Casey's room. She smiled and regroup with the youngest. Smoothing over the top of their hair. "I know you're slow but I didn't think this slow," She tosses over her shoulder back to Casey "we're sneaking out."
That seemed to change Casey's own tune himself as Karai shut the door to give him a chance to get changed now. Paying a second to see the time they should get there just on time even with her need to mess with Casey. Door opened behind her "finally" She scoffs before taking lead so Casey could grab Angel. "The easy half is less busy we'll get out with little to now effort easily." She states and they were soon on the move as if going on a mission.
In a way it was there own kind of mission. Constantly always being watched over kids of the foot or not a streak of rebellious nature was going to infect them all. As they breezed through the building not even noticed and made their way outside to the cool night city air. Quick to grab on to Casey's wrist and pulling him off to follow along. They needed to keep moving, mostly to not lose time they were going to cut it close. That did sort of annoy Karai's little plan here but it should be fine she figures. Telling Angel to cover Casey's eyes as she counties to lead him. Which work fine when they were simply just on the side walks. Not so much when it came to zipping across the street with oncoming traffic. They lived so it was fine clearly.
When Casey seemed to get restless and ask again what was going on fairly considering he was well aware they had nearly got ran over a few times. Karai let Angel move her hands away from Casey eyes. Letting him see they were down at the USB Arena "There happy now puck head?" Karai once more teases, as they worked their way to the back and easily slipped inside. Blending into the crowd with no issue. Sure it was an Islanders game instead but Karai was sure getting out to a game was hopefully good enough for Casey. As they found free spots to sit on the benches falling in order, Casey Angel and Karai. Easily lost among the roaring crowds cheering as the game started up. Karai taking a moment to tap Casey's shoulder to gain his attention now. "Oh good you fixed that stupid look on your face finally."

[Foot!Casey and Karai - im so sorry]
Casey has the stupidest, biggest, 'I'm here to cause trouble', smug grin on his as he stands at Karai's side. When his presence is enough to annoy her, he finally speaks up,
"I'm dads favourite."
They both know that's a lie though. Everyone knows Angel is the favourite child. Didn't stop Casey pushing buttons for the sake of it though.
| Muse interaction
"What do you mean Casey will do it!?" Karai snapped head lifting up from the bow she held it in before.
Meant with nothing more then a narrowed expression of her father. It was all he had to do to get his message across. So she shrunk back, letting her head drop back down. Once their father felt she was in line again he went on to speak. Karai couldn't believe it but she gritted her teeth and kept her head bowed to her father, her fingers slowly flexing in and out. Of all members in the foot he picked Casey! fuck out of all his kids he picked Casey! for such an important job and mission at that! How could he looked right past her and decide on Casey to be the one to do this! He was sloppy and fought like he was in on the hockey rink 24/7! She wouldn't risk another outburst however, she had to remain clam even if she wanting to bite at her nails and stifle a laugh when Shredder gave in depth instructions to Casey on what this mission would require him to do.
Please as if Casey could be stealthy, sneaky or manipulative enough to trick any of the turtles and convince them he was just some random guy going to that April's school. Sure by this point Karai was pretty well known but it could have worked she could lie better than anyone in the clan. Once Shredder said his piece he dismissed the two of them. They had to get records in order for Casey so nothing would be to telling or be easy to trace his connections with the foot after all. He stood from his chair and walked by the pair of them. Karai lifted her head for all a second to meet her fathers gaze. Ready to part red painted lips only for that gaze to burn through her once more. Turning her head away fast so to avoid it. Karai finally curling her fingers into a fist as she slammed knuckles into the floor.
She moved to stand once he had left the room, sharing a look with her brother and turned fast on her heels. She knew that stupid look on his stupid face. She refused to stand in the same room with his stupid ass any longer than she needed to be. But when Casey wanted annoy he wanted to annoy. He knew something was already under her skin.
Why Casey. And not her?
Karai might be younger than Casey not by much but she had more training, more experience with the foot. Raised since she was a baby in their ways! She was the heir even! Yet he picked Casey to be charged with such an important mission! Ugh leaving would just prove his point wouldn't it! She halted fine she won't let him get to her. Turning back around to just fix him with a stare as she folded her arms over her chest.
"what." Curt and quick to the point she knows the idiot has something to say from how smug his grin is on his face. Suddenly wondering if leaving would have been the better stance to take instead.
"I'm dads favourite."
Tumblr media
She scoffs and lets her shoulders lower and shake as she rolls the laugh over her tongue. For one they both knew that was Angel, no one could deny that fact after all. Two? she knows hes just trying to push her buttons worse it worked. If anyone could irritate and annoy to being near an art it's own? that was Casey.
"As if you're only getting trusted with this because he knows you're so sloppy with your training. Hell, you fit in perfect! a giant idiotic buffoon who has never fought a day in his life!" Karai snips a little annoyed that she let him under her skin more than anything if only she could shed it. "I give you three weeks." as if to make her point, she held up three fingers, throwing them into his face "before you Mesa everything up!"
Soon, I'm smirking a little as she steps away from him "besides your meant to befriend them? Pfft, you never had a friend to begin with loser." She teases a bit well, also knocking him down a peg or two if she could. Mostly to make herself feel better about this whole situation.
"And don't think I'll bail you out when you mess up, either." That was an empty threat. Of course, she's going to be keeping tabs on him and would rush in if he needed her. But right now? Well, right now, her ego was bruised, so it was better to cover it up. She dose decided to smirk a little. "Tell you what, Cay, wanna make a bet?" She suggest smirking
"If you actually fool at least one of them into thinking you turly can be trusted enough to be thier friend, then I'll do one favor for you. No questions asked." She just assumes it'll be she has to refer to them as her older brother since even if it ture she never dose. "Shoild easy right since you qoute on qout dads favorite?" She prompts then taps her lips a moment."If I win? You don't get to complain when I take your stuff anymore. The ugly jacket, eyeline, and whatever." Treating all as some game because well that's all this turly was. It's just a game. "How's that sound?"

Foot Clan AU - Casey Karai - Catch
| Send "Stumble" for your severely injured muse to fall into my muse's arms. send "Catch" for the reverse
Karai couldn't understand a thing going on her mind was lost in a fog most the time. She fell she knew that, she knew she had fallen into the mutagen! now what? What was going on? Her memories just felt like a jumbled up mess right now. All over the place discounted at best, The turtles were there, Casey was there...her father was there. That's right. He wanted to use her as bait to lure them out but something went wrong. And she fell.
It was hard to explain, it burned and hurt she could feel her body stretch out, shift and turn in unnatural ways. Ways her body shouldn't be able to like she melted into the mutagen it self. It happened all so suddenly. When she could regain the feeling of her arms at least she turned her body what she assumed was upwards and as if clawing herself to freedom she tried to pull her arms through the mutagen. She was in there far too long unaware what she had become by now once she reached the top. That must explain why her legs were weighed down. Something heavy dragged her. She had to not struggle if she did she would drown. Hard not to panic even for Karai when she wasn't sure what she come out to find herself to be.
Fear and panic were not emotions she was a stranger too. Days near long forgotten. Where she was forced to 'get over' her fear of snakes through 'exposure' weakness wasn't allowed. And she hated how much her mind kept circling back to this one thing alone. Was it her mind kicking into those thoughts for survival or was her father's enforced mind set that deeply rooted into her? Right then it didn't matter but her senses were ringing off like a string of alarms. Her mind wasn't all there still like someone else thoughts were running her actions as she fled.
Everything...everything happened so suddenly and fast. She knew well enough to hide. She felt like she needed to hide, trying to look down at herself Karai was shocked to find her legs were just gone. Replaced? Her mind was trying so hard to understand what her eyes were looking at. Hand's moving to rest to the side of her head, only to hear them hiss? Startled she looks to find her hands were snakes? Eyes widen as she fell back knocking over trash bins uncaring for the sound as her breathing was hard to get a handle on. Her mind was buzzing! Once more she looked her self over. Her body was pale, white. Covered in scales and bits of her armor? had it fused to her? Finding shards of broken glass she tried to grab it but? when her hand hissed? She tried to not linger on that and just leaned over for a better view.
Eyes blew wide at the refection, something so odd about looking at something that didn't resemble her well knowing it was her? A sharp pain went through her head as she recoiled and hissed out nearly shrieking. The foggy feeling coming back as she could just feel herself? slipping away. Like she was being pulled away. She hears a sound. Feet on pavement. Eyes snap open as they look towards the end of the alleyway. She can't defend herself in this state she knows that in the least. As she slicks back trying to hide behind the tossed over trash bins hoping the build up mess would work enough for coverage. Only ricking been seen when she noticed who it was that found her.
Casey.
She hate to admit it but part of her felt comfort from the sight alone. As she slithered? out from her hiding spot. A voice in her mind insisted to stay back, and its what made her bare her new fangs towards her brother. Maybe it was his voice she's not sure but it gets her to pause. Shift in her mind. That's her brother.
"C-Casessy." As if she never spoken before trying to form the word with her jaw. But she slithered forward a little, she's not really sure how but she felt herself lower in height. Suddenly the familiar feeling of feet under her just as she grew accustomed to the long tail in the middle of her movements. Stumbling as she tried to understand how her feet worked again. wasn't she a some kind of snake? Her memories felt all over the place as she found herself suddenly falling forward. Unable to carry herself but a few steps forward. Eyes grew heavy as she tried to keep walking. But soon found herself falling forward.
Falling again, swearing she sees that mutagen again, was she falling into it again? was she dreaming? Karai collapsed into Casey's hold to weak to even hold on it took everything in her to turn her head enough to look up at Casey. Only able to offer a faint smile to him. IF she was in the right mind set she would tell him not to bring up the whole older brother bullshit.
In truth? she so damn glad he was here. As she let her neck grow limp and drop her head again. Maybe that was why she changed back? She had seen the others in her fathered command. They took on the traits of what they became. Become more animal. The second she was out she was scared, baring her fangs striking at anything near her trying to hide. Casey wouldn't let her live it down. But the second her fogged up mindscape understood it was Casey? she wasn't scared. She was scared still of course she was she had no fucking clue what was going on with her? she might be human but she knows..she knows she isn't human now. When she woke up would she be a snake? or Karai? she felt lost in her mind it was screaming. She felt her grip suddenly tugging at the fabric of Casey's sleeve.
"Don't..leave me." IS all she can get out before everything slipped away.
