At the table sat Kanako, Noburu, and Noburu's baby sister, Chidori. They chatted idly until someone posed a question. The Vixen started coughing and immediately spit her drink, out of her mouth and nose. Kanako exclaimed. "Oh dear! What a silly notion!" As she pushed a box of tissues toward Noburu. "Here, take some tissues." The redhead's eyes began to sparkle. "I know, right, Mr. Anon! I was thinking the same thing. I imagine them as Michiru and Haruka from Sailor Moon." Noburu immediately gestured toward Kanako. "Hella no! Have you seen her when she's angry? She's scarier than a-" With her arms crossed, Kanako glared at the Vixen. "Scarier than a what?" Biting her tongue, the Vixen took another sip of her drink before muttering. "Nothing..." "Aw, but don't you always say you loved each other?" The Lioness explained with a gentle smile. "Chidori, sometimes when two people are close to each other and are often times together, it does not necessarily mean that they are in a romantic relationship." Adding her two cents. "She's right. Don't generalize and romanticize every shi-" Noburu stopped herself and bit her tongue again, this time controlling her swearing. "I mean, things..." Continuing by adding. "Besides, don't you tell your mom, 'You love her too'?" "Oh! So that makes you like sisters, then?" The younger one was soon delighted at the idea of gaining another family member.

After exchanging a glance, they both pondered the idea deeply before shaking their heads. Kanako spoke up first. "I don't think so..." "We're not quite there yet." Noburu replied next. Becoming more confused but still curious. "Oh...Then..." Chidori asked again. "We're just two good friends." The lioness replied with a smile, noticing the redhead's confusion. "Let me give you a good example." She thought for a moment. "Think of Minako and Rei from Sailor Moon." Noburu quickly replied, shaking her head. "No, people ship them together." The Lioness soon tapped on her chin. "Five and Miko?" The Vixen's lips curled into a smile. "No, we are way closer than that." She soon sat up straight, snapping her fingers as a great example came to mind. "I've got it! Meredith and Cristina from Grey's Anatomy." "Oh, that's a delightful example!" Nodding proudly. It was rare for Noburu to be so vocal as she narrated their relationship. "We are two people who are very close to one another. We are not romantically in love, but we share a strong platonic love for each other. Sometimes, we could easily fall into serious and intense fights, the kind that can only occur between two people who know each other's deepest and darkest secrets." When their fight was mentioned, a shadow of sadness painted across Kanako's face as she remembered several of it. Without thinking, Noburu's hands reached out and gently patted hers, as their fingers soon became intertwined. "Even during our worst arguments, we never left each other side. And as corny this may sound, regardless of the challenges we may encounter, our love and friendship for one another always come through." As the Lioness looks over to Noburu, she smiles and says. "In the famous words of Meredith Grey, Noburu is my person." Returning with a sly grin. "And Kanako is my rock." In unison, both technicians covered Chidori's ears to protect her innocence. And a wicked smile soon curled Kanako's lips. "If I have a dead body, Noburu will be the first person I call." "And without a question, I'll bring the shovel." Laughing wickedly, they both clinked their mugs together, looking like two evil villainess scheming something sinister.
