You know what sucks? Starting out liking a character but then seeing so many terrible takes about them and watching them be used to bash on your favorite character both by fans an the narrative until you not only no longer enjoy that character but you have trouble interacting with people who talk about them positively because it's almost always paired with bashing your fave and watering them down or demonizing them in favor of making that character into the greatest thing that ever happened

Ding Dong Dummies, here's a spicy lil tidbit: The handling of sensitive topics like this should be done in a way that the writers feel confident in communicating hot button topics like this! This isn't "The Snowflakes Of FR Ruining The Lore", it's the response to some people bringing up the fact there was a clear parallel to colonization with the Dragons VS Beastclans and the Devs were like "That wasn't intended and we see this now. We don't want that parallel to exist and people were right to bring it up, so we are redoing it"

"Buh buh buht my cawnflicts-" The new article doesn't say that everyone is peace and flowers and holding hands in unity. There's still animosity, there's still tension, misunderstandings, and incompatibilities between Dragons and Beastclans. Your Clan can STILL have conflicts with Beastclans, but "Dragons displaced the Beastclans and destroyed their culture" isn't a blanket statement anymore. That's it. That's all that's changed.

"But fiction writers should feel confident in their message when they write about this stuff!" Correct! They should feel confident that they've handled it correctly and with the respect and thoughtful treatment that things like cultural genocide deserves. The Devs didn't want that very real-world thing to be in their Fantasy Dragon Game so they got rid of it.

"But Dragons are SUPPOSED To be monsters by nature!" Dragons aren't real. Sorry. There aren't any rules about how to Write Dragons. Tucker's mom invites him to Take Your Son to Work Day

So! Tucker hasn't talked to his mom in a little while, he usually stays with his Dad and Step-Mom in Amity, but every once in a while he'll go over to Washington DC to visit his Bio Mom.

And she recently just called him to ask if he wanted to visit the White House on Bring your Child to Work Day. She works there as the Secretary of Defense, and he is actually really interested in what she does for work.

So, he get picked up and taken to Washington, where he meets up with his Mom.
