Thoughts on Rosalina

Aesthetically? 1000/10. I'm a huge fan of any and all space stuff.

Otherwise? I don't have a ton of thoughts. I've never really gotten invested in the "sage" archetype, and though her backstory and her responsibilities in the universe intrigue me, I'm far more interested in what she does than the character herself.

I do like that she plays guitar though. I need more details on that.

A quick mother's day image for tomorrow. ✨

While I have not really draw it (shown the actual colored concept to like ONE person lol), Violetta does have a luma form since she's actually a luma of sorts. She just prefers to be in her human form around others most the time, as Rosalina made her to appear nearly in her image so she could have a child who was like her at her side. (This is why I giggle when people say Violetta looks like Rosalina, as that's the purpose of Violetta's human appearance).

She just has boo styled hair as apposed to Rosalina's shooting star (comet?) hair as Violetta was originally meant to be drawn as just a character I wanted to put with King Boo. But the more I styled her, the more I could hear a voice telling me she just looked like Rosalina to an extent, so the character formed more a backstory from there. ✨ And I couldn't be happier, as I love both characters a lot.

Rosalina is best mom, and I am glad my OC could have her as a mom fr. ✨ Happy Mother's Day!

Hi! There are people who have already played Rosalina's mother (or her family), there are also fans who say that theory that Peach is Rosalina's mother, I even like that theory, but let's say you make an oc where it would be her mother (?)

Well maybe you like it (or not) so enjoy reading:

As we only have a few images in the Mario galaxy game of Rosalina's mother, but we have some information:

> She looks similar to Peach (everyone knows that obviously) with blonde hair (?) and her smile too. > Her dress is the same color as Rosalina's, perhaps it is a little older than her daughter. > She died and Rosalina was very close to her mother.

Well, with this information it looked like this in my AU:

She was common, but I used different eyes than the ones I use in Gacha Life because I wanted, for me she would be like the moon but in human form (mixed with Peach JDKDHD) and her husband (Rosalina's father) would be like the sun.

(Plus I have a headcanon of Rosalina's father too! He would be more or less like Luigi (since the theory says that the green plumber is her father) but with blonde hair to look like Rosalina and that he would wear green in his clothes)

Also in my AU, Rosalina's parents were guardians of the galaxy (just like her daughter) and they were parents of the lumas, but as the queen was pregnant with Rosalina, they had to return to earth, as they were still human, obviously, so Rosalina was born in MK.

Maybe after five or six years, because Rosalina's brother had been born (when I wrote this post I discovered that Rosalina had a brother), then that Super Mario Galaxy story happened, with that Rosalina's mother dies, so Rosalina became the next guardian of the galaxy, just like her parents.

I like to think that Rosalina's mother was also a writer in addition to being a guardian, she told several stories about the stars to her children, this perhaps led Rosalina to have a library because this way she remembers her mother and all the moments they had.

And also a spoiler for my Walsalina fankid, Rosalina and Waluigi had a daughter, just like Rosalina's mother had Rosalina, and when Rosalina sees her daughter for the first time she cries a lot because the child was similar to her mother (because every time she talks about her mother, Rosalina gets depressed or cries) but Waluigi calms her down.

Chapter 4: The Dream

One night, the girl dreamed about her own mother.

"Where are you going?" She asked her mother's retreating back.

Without turning, her mother replied, "Don't fret, dearest. I'm not going anywhere. I'm always watching over you, like the sun in the day and the moon in the night."

A wave of sadness washed over the girl.

"What about when it rains, and I can't see the sun or the moon?"

Her mother thought for a moment before responding.

"I will turn into a star in the clouds and wait for your tears to dry."

When she awoke, the girl's face was damp with tears.

"You have Star Bits in your eyes!" said Luma to the girl.

Wiping her face, the girl replied, "These are tears, not Star Bits. I'm crying because I'll never see my mother ever again!"

At this, Luma began to cry too. "Mama, oh, Mama... Waaaah!"

The pair traveled through the starry skies, and though they encountered many other comets, not one of them held Luma's mother.

Luma was despondent.

"Now, now, Luma. The rain clouds won't go away if you keep crying," the girl said, giving Luma a squeeze. "I'll give you a present if you stop."

The girl closed her eyes and said gently, "I'll take care of you."

With these words, she felt a small spark in her heart.

Rosalina Mother of the Stars

Princess Rosalina was always seen to be an adoptive mother of the Lumas, the species of star-like creatures. Rosalina cared for them and would look out for them. However, in her time doing so, she's always neglected on taking care of herself. Never spending time to pleasure herself and feel satisfied.

That was until she met your muse, who instead of returning home after helping her Lumas, agreed to stay with her. Rosalina was excited for this. Since it meant she was going to have some fun with someone. And can give her what she wants.

"I welcome you to my home, my dear hero and thank you for joining me~" said Rosalina as she showed up wearing a very revealing outfit and had on a white thong. "I hope you're ready for your reward~"

Rosalina's Heavily Implied Divinity

Rosalina is a Demigoddess.

I know fans tend to debate this, but I'm not just trying to glaze her, she genuinely fits the definition of a demigod.

A demigoddess is:

A mortal...

...raised to divine rank...

Seems to check out.

But how do we know she's of a divine rank and didn't just become more powerful? What makes her part-god?

Well, 1 - she's literally immortal.

And 2 - the definition of "god" that applies here is not the definition that applies to God in Christianity or other monotheist religions:

So, by this definition, a superhuman being that is worshipped as having power over nature is a god. A moon god is even used as an example, so celestial objects are fair game.

Power over nature...

You could also argue that she "has power over" the Lumas (who are literally baby stars, and hence a part of nature), by being their mother.

OR you could argue she "has power over" the cosmos in general, in the sense that she's in charge of it. I'm not just referring to her choosing to watch over and protect it, according to Nintendo she literally rules over the cosmos.

Rosalina is also one of the only characters who remembers the events of Super Mario Galaxy (other than presumably Mario himself, who probably only remembers because Rosalina protected him from the blast that kickstarted the recreation of the universe to those unfamiliar with Mario lore, yes that happens).

I think calling her omniscient is a stretch, but this clearly shows she has a much higher awareness of reality than almost every other being in the universe.

And while I think there are better fitting words to describe how they view their mother than "worship", the Lumas clearly revere and adore Rosalina. They even make Mario do a "test" to see if he's "worthy".

Even her signature phrase "May the stars shine down on you" sounds purposefully similar to "May God bless you", the stars being God in this case. This makes sense as stars being considered gods or at least some sort of divine power is pretty consistent across the Mario universe. So much so that their essence is repeatedly used as a way of providing life, energy, and strength to the people of the Mario Universe:

And we all know Rosalina canonically has Star Power within her, as seen in Super Mario 3D World when she does the spin from the Galaxy games innately, whereas Mario needed a Luma to do it (hence implying she might be part-Star/part-Luma):

If Rosalina was born human but grew into a being with divine power...what could that possibly make her other than a demigoddess?

Even if you still don't think of her as one, she's still an immortal superhuman sorceress with power over the stars that can protect people from a blast that might as well be the Big Bang:

Galaxy's official guide even says Rosalina sends Mario into a "bright light" afterwards, I mean come on that's the closest you'll ever get to saying "Heaven" without saying "Heaven".

At that point, in my opinion anyway, to acknowledge her as anything other than a demigoddess (at least) is a distinction without a difference.

Spend all night drawing ugh..

First time drawing Waluigi, so please forgive any imperfections. Additionally, I plan to develop a love story between Rosalina and Waluigi, with a focus on parenthood and family issues. They always meet at night, as they prefer to keep their relationship private.

In his lowest moment, Waluigi found himself in a gloomy state of mind, feeling lost and alone. Then he saw something incredible - a huge star-shaped woman that seemed to be floating in the air. He attempted to run away but was caught by Rosalina, who was exploring the planet and was intrigued by his appearance. Despite his ego, Waluigi was somewhat intimidated by Rosalina's beauty, especially her eyes, though he secretly admired her, and was surprised that someone as attractive as her would even bother speaking to him. He pretended to be confident, but deep down, he knew he was not as conventionally attractive as other male beings he had encountered. Nonetheless, Rosalina found Waluigi's face unique, particularly his nose, and the two ended up getting to know each other over their shared personal stories. After weeks of silent communication, they officially became friends, and their bond grew stronger as they continued to spend time with each other.

I will do more research on Waluigi and Wario's personalities and background. I also decided to make Rosalina able to change her height in my alternate universe, which adds another layer of complexity to her character. In this AU, Rosalina suffers from a deadly sickness that killed her mother, but she is able to survive thanks to her extensive use of cosmic magic. Parts of her body have taken on a space-like appearance due to her magic, and these areas become like Neptune when she gets angry, making it dangerous to touch her. I also chose to portray Rosalina's nose as hooked, and changed her skin and hair color to be different from her original design to differentiate her from the Mario universe. If I were to color her in the future, I would aim to accentuate the space theme even further.

Drawing Prince Peasley for the first time was quite challenging, as I mostly focus on female characters. However, I am working on improving my skills when it comes to drawing males. I decided to incorporate some intricate details into his outfit to make him look presentable, but may simplify his ensemble later on. I am currently satisfied with the result and look forward to creating more stunning sketches of Prince Peasley.

Prince Peasley remains a Beanish prince and a well-respected hero in the Beanbean kingdom, but I wanted to add elements of plant themes to his character design to make him stand out even more. Although his first outfit will be redesigned again, he takes great pride in his hair and facial features which he believes are charming and lovely. His personality remains the same, and I plan to introduce a nephew whom he eventually adopts into my AU. This will coincide with the fan children I have previously created.

Chapter 6: Friends

Then one day, while the girl sat sipping tea, a tiny apricot-colored planet appeared on the horizon.

From the planet, another Luma of the same color emerged.

"Do you two know each other?!" the girl asked the two Lumas gleefully. Despite the girl's excitement, they seemed uneasy.

The two Lumas neither drew closer nor backed away from each other. Instead, they just stared.

Then one Luma broke the silence.

"My mama!"

At once, the apricot Luma parroted back, "My mama! My mama!"

"My mama!" "My mama!"

The two Lumas began to dance around the girl frantically, and neither showed any sign of stopping.

The girl was so charmed by this adorable scene that she couldn't help but laugh.

And that's when something very strange happened.

Suddenly, more Lumas began to pop out from the apricot planet. They were different colors, but they all shouted the same thing.

"My mama!" "My mama!"

The sight of all the shouting Lumas only made the girl laugh harder. "What am I going to do with all these children?!"

The Lumas just stared blankly as she doubled over laughing.

"I guess we'll have to name each and every one of you."

Tomorrow, once she had finished naming them all, she would begin moving all the Lumas into the new house.

My Unofficial Princess Rosalina Character Bio

Princess Rosalina is a mysterious woman who travels the galaxy on the Comey Observatory with the Lumas/Star Kids which she is the protector and adoptive mother of and raises them. As she travels the cosmos she looks for more Lumas. Before this she was Princess of an unnamed Kingdom whose mother died at one point, but she found a family in the Lumas. Like other Princess like Peach she has access to star magic and rather potent star magic. This is probably because not only does she have a wand, been lives on the Comet Observatory which is fueled by Power Stars and Grand Stars, and the fact she has live with Lumas her whole life. She does not however, have the ability to reset the universe. She is taller than Peach and Daisy. She does join in adventures with Mario and friends at times, and even participates in events such as party events, and sports events and have some fun. She has also even participated in the Olympics. In karting events she favors using Green Shells on her rivals. She is described as an otherworldly figure and has an air of mystique, and at times seems distant. But overall she has a kind heart. She is also part of the Women of Racing Organization.

Note, I might need to go over the galaxy games again to get more info on her since it has been awhile.

do you ever think about how super mario galaxy was implied to exist in a time loop where the universe is saved from the king of evil but the effort was in vain because immediately after the dust settles the entire universe implodes in a black hole and then recreates itself where everything is condensed into a single planet and the day is saved and the hero is with his special one but then after the credits some Unexplained Transition happens where the universe reverts to how it was before all of this and no one remembers that it happened except for a single woman whos been living in space with her star children but she seems kinda at peace with it because after flying away from her home planet and her mother and everything she ever knew she has no room left in her heart for more grief, she can only become numb to the passage of time and find it in herself to love her star children and give them a home before they enact the universe regurgitating itself again and everything just keeps coming and going and coming and going and sometimes its a man in red who believes he can save the universe from evil (it doesnt matter) or sometimes its a man in green (it doesnt matter) but either way the king of evil is always at the center of the universe with the mans special one and she can send the man there to save his special one but it doesnt matter it doesnt matter it doesnt matter it will always end the same way and nothing really changes and it doesnt matter, but that doesnt mean she cant love the people who come and go, the stars that are born and shine and die, love is the only thing she can feel, love for the man, love for her star children, love for the mans special one, even love for the king of evil (without him she would never have met her new friend, the man shes met infinite times), love is all there is, love and stars and space and time and the man sometimes seems so scared behind his determined expression because he doesnt know, he doesnt know, hes already done everything he can, and even if it will happen again tomorrow, it still matters so much to him, so it matters to her, he matters to her, he can feel everything she cant, she loves him for that, just as she loves everyone in the universe that will soon die. except for her. never her

Outside - I have 7 flower charms which symbolize the Seven Sorrows of Mary.

Inside - I have a few little things I collaged together that I have found out and about or that someone has given me! I definitely have a junk-journaling style approach to pocket shrines haha. I also have some quartz + angel & flower charms + a butterfly🦋 charm that symbolizes the resurrection of Christ.

Contents - I have some drawings I did that bring me peace & joy that I fold up and tuck behind the quartz 😚; One that compares the 7-pointed Fae Star with the Immaculate Heart (Seven Swords), and another of Our Lady of Lourdes. I have a St. Benedict rosary bracelet (one of two I received from my aunt when my father passed) that reminds me of my desire to improve myself/the world. And a necklace that I've been wearing basically everyday, but I keep it in here when I shower or sleep. On this necklace I have a charm for each of my babies; A Leo ♌️ charm for our Rosalina who we lost a few years ago, and a Capricorn ♑️ charm for Tadhg who we lost this past year. Today was my due date for our sweet baby boy but I miscarried a few months ago. I also have a green agate charm (connection with nature) my mother gave me, and a Fae Star charm my aunt gave me this past Christmas🎄🤶🏻!

Have I ever talked about my most insane crack ship ever on here before, I was telling some friends about it last night and now I just gotta share the lunacy. Note this is explicitly a non romantic ship, I just think these two would be amazing friends and get along wonderfully.

Rosalina from Super Mario Galaxy and Yusei Fudo from Yugioh 5Ds.

Okay so hear me out Yusei is this super kind and gentle gifted mechanic and physicist who is deeply altruistic right down to his core so OF COURSE he’d help Rosalina on the Comet Observatory if he ended up there. Please imagine him working away in the engine room to help keep the place running and help with maintenance on the reactor while lil Lumas are like, carrying a big heavy toolbox and cutely failing or playing around with his goofy ass hair. Then you’ve got Rosalina, this kind, loving, deeply gentle motherly woman who takes care of the Lumas. Now imagine her being protected by Stardust Dragon and calling forth its evolutions with her wand or carrying a baby stardust dragon in her arms or on her shoulder. Taking a nap under one of Stardust Dragon’s tattered wings over in the Garden.

I explicitly see them as just friends because I feel like Rosalina has something otherworldly and cosmically distant about her that makes her not really feel like a normal human you’d romantically bond with the same way, she’s simply the mother and caretaker of the stars. Yusei is in love with his motorcycle and Bruno. Speaking of his motorcycle just imagine him like, him going through launch stars streaking through the skies on his bike, a big thing in the show being the feeling of freedom and exhilaration that comes with speed. One of Yusei’s most formative duels was on a Rainbow Starlight Road outrunning the pull of a black hole. Speaking of which, I especially imagine just the most wretchedly heartbreaking scene where as he’s going between galaxies finding and dueling for power stars for the CO, he comes upon a galaxy eaten to bits by little black holes and when he reaches the end, Bruno steps out of one, changed horribly by something dark in the endless void and the emotional trauma that would lead to. The processing of grief over losing his boyfriend a second time. No I never said I was a good person, cry about it. Maybe like, Bruno is possessed by the big bad that attacked the CO again and resulted in Yusei ending up there needing to help and he’s trying to free Bruno from this dark influence, just like he had to do with his other ex Kiryu/Kalin when he was a Dark Signer. Anyways yeah, instead of the crimson dragon which left at the end of 5D’s, Yusei is empowered by the Mother of the Cosmos and he gets like new Stardust Lumas he can summon to help him and all that cool stuff. Are you seeing my vision, it’s insane but it cooks and you fucking know it cooks deep in your heart.
