So maybe it was obvious he wasn’t going to keep Yongsun’s phone. He asked to borrow it to check in with Hayeon before it got too late- very eloquently promising to return it afterwards. And the bit of teasing afterwards caused him to chuckle and promise not to forget his charger again. That aside, it didn’t take long for his sister to assure him that all was well and tell him to “hang the hell up already to go spend time with your girlfriend! So inconsiderate, dude”. Manuel glanced over at Yongsun and tried his best not to seem flustered. “Uhm-… Alright, I’ll be back later on. Yup. Mhm.” Very mature with the kissy noises, Hayeon.

He hung up before clearing his throat and holding out the phone. “She’s uh… fine. Just watching another drama without me. Thank you.” He didn’t know what to say, but luckily Yongsun went and echoed his earlier phrasing, and it caused him to blink in surprise.

“Can I borrow a kiss? I promise I’ll give it back.”

“… Well…” It’s not like he was going to say no. And it still caused him to smile and look away despite how caught off guard he was. However? He felt much more at ease now that their feelings were out in the open and knowing things were mutual. “I want to say yes, but…” Was he really going to say it? Yup. Yongsun started with the cheesy lines first. “The only problem is that uh, well. Kisses… They actually collect interest.” Manuel took one of her hands in his as looked back to her. “So if I let you borrow one, I’ll need…” A few seconds passed as he pretended to do some mental math. “Three back? Yeah, three’s a good number.” He couldn’t help a slight grin, proud of his little joke. “Just, whenever you feel like returning them. But if you’re fine with that, I can let you borrow one right now.”

Yongsun watched closely. Macarons were a pain to make- not that she had any experience with them herself, but she knew that they were a temperamental food. Everything had to be done just right and the first few tries almost always failed. Still, the challenge was bound to be fun. Cookies, cakes, brownies, and such were all pretty simple. Even pies and tarts and things weren’t so difficult usually. But this was bound to be an adventure. Well, that was one word for it, anyway.

The egg whites and sugar absolutely refused to mix properly and, though Yongsun wasn’t the one doing the work (that was Manny’s job), even she felt slightly frustrated that this wasn’t working. It was pretty simple in theory, right? Not so much in practice, though. Yongsun placed a hand on Manny’s shoulder, gave him a smile, “Don’t worry about it. It’s fine.” She assured him. It wasn’t like he’d said the words bitterly, really. Sure, maybe the phrasing wasn’t the best, but she knew him well enough to know she shouldn’t take it the wrong way. Even so, she appreciated the apology.

So things weren’t going quite as well as planned, and honestly Yongsun was pretty sure she couldn’t do any better than Manuel already had. When he finally admitted needing a little help, she peeked into the bowl to get an idea of what was going on. Not that it helped much, “Do you think maybe we mixed them too much?” Or not enough. Both were equally as likely and Yongsun wasn’t entirely sure of how to tell the difference, if she was being honest. She picked her phone up off the counter to do a quick google search to see if she could find something that matched their current problem, “Honestly, even if we can’t save it, all that’ll happen is they won’t look the best, you know? They’ll probably still taste great! Macarons are notoriously tricky, especially the first few times you make them. And, I don’t know about you, but this is definitely my first time. I’d say, even if they aren’t perfect, as long as they taste fine, we should consider it a success!” It only took another moment or two to find an article about common problems with making macarons that actually had pictures with it. Maybe they could figure this out. “Which one of these looks like ours?” She asked, leaning in a little closer to him so he could look at the phone screen with her. She’d already had a few moments to look at the page, though, so she was soon looking up at Manny, waiting to hear his thoughts on it.

Manuel hadn’t been to many places outside of Seoul. There wasn’t much reason to. Maybe a job that was a bit of a drive away or somewhere Hayeon wanted to go to film one of her YouTube videos- but that was it. So when the idea of stargazing came up he was immediately interested to see where they would go. Away from light pollution of course. It’d been a while since he’d seen proper night sky. So the chance to go somewhere that wasn’t too crowded to see some stars? And spending time with Yongsun? He’d been looking forward to it all week.

“It’s beautiful out,” he mumbled when they finally came to a stop. And he couldn’t help but grin as he looked up and gave Yongsun’s hand a small squeeze- the contact was something he was so used to it was weird when they didn’t hold hands being side by side. “Good suggestion.” But still? There was a flutter of nervousness in his stomach. He could only halfway concentrate on the scenery. It wasn’t very long before his gaze wandered back to Yongsun but he quickly caught himself and turned back to study the sky again. Manuel already caught himself staring a few times after a certain February 14th. Hopefully it wasn’t too obvious.

“Hey, uhm. Stop me if I’m ruining the…” Moment? “The- this by talking too much,” he began quietly, “but I kind of just had a thought. About… stuff? Nothing bad.”

mistletoe, accidental (For Manny and Yongsun~)

Hayeon must’ve thought she was a real genius with this one. He thought she was just being extra nice when she shooed him away and said to leave the rest of the decorating to her. Sure?  He’d been hoping to maybe ask Yongsun to help them finish up, but there was only so many times he could ask “Are you sure?” before he felt like he was being like an annoying little brother. Well, older, but the dynamic had a tendency to rotate.

Not that that was relevant right now!

Yongsun was at the door and Manuel wanted to be the one to answer it before his sister. He had no confidence that she wouldn’t say something… stupid? No, too harsh Not quite right. He just knew that she’d end up saying something to Yongsun and embarrassing him- but it wasn’t like he could keep them apart forever. They’d have to meet eventually.

“Hey!” he greeted happily before closing the door behind her and Aayla. At seeing the dog, Hayeon squealed and immediately made her way over.

“She’s so cute!”

Obviously. All dogs were cute! Manuel agreed and then stepped to the side to give Yongsun a proper hug away from all the overly cutesy cooing.

“Sorry, she’s just… like that.”

Hayeon was about to curse at him before stopping herself because they had proper~ company  over. Instead she stuck out her tongue and left to the kitchen.

Manny returned the gesture before chuckling. “Like I said, she’s just like that. But uh, anyway-! Welcome? We were just finishing up the decorations. Or, well, Hayeon was. She didn’t want my help, and…” He trailed off when he realized no long-winded explanation was needed for something so simple. “Yeah. Should we go sit down?”

Actually, it’d feel weird not to help out.

“Orrrr… we could help anyway…?” Yongsun didn’t mind either way, of course. But there was something dare he say… cute about putting up decorations together? Well no, he didn’t dare say it. Not aloud. “Cool!”

Things were peaceful and there was light chatter between the 3 of them before Hayeon slowly left the conversation and left Manny and Yongsun to talk among themselves.

“I cant imagine having that many relatives…” He’d been intently listening to everything she was saying, as always, but somewhere along the way got tripped up by the amounts and locations of where the other’s family was in the U.S. “It was always just us and some of my parents’ friends. A couple of their kids whenever they weren’t on vacation. Maybe an-” He tensed suddenly and then immediately after began to fumble his words in an attempt to make the abrupt silence less noticeable.

Smooth. Not weird at all.

But luckily his sister saved him by calling them to the kitchen.

“… She probably burnt some of the food,” he mumbled as he untangled one final light from the strand and then gave Yongsun a small smile. “I’ve got backup. Don’t worry.”

He stood from the sofa before offering his hand to Yongsun, and didn’t let go as they left the living room to see what the ruckus was in the other side of the apartment.

“I can’t get these stupid pancakes right. Help!”

Manuel was about to enter the kitchen but was stopped just at the entrance by Hayeon putting a hand up. “No. Not you, Manny.” He looked to Yongsun, who seemed equally as confused before she was pointing at herself as if to ask ‘Me?’. “Actually, nahhh. But?”

“What?”

His sister turned her gaze to look above the pair before Manuel found himself looking up as well, and… Oh. “Oh no-” Wait a second. Maybe that’d be insulting to Yongsun.

“Wait, I didn’t mean oh no as in because of you-” He was so flustered he wasn’t even thinking about how on earth the mistletoe was able to be placed that high. And without either of them noticing. They were probably too into their conversation to notice when Hayeon went ahead and snuck it up there. “I meant… I mean-?”

He wasn’t entirely sure what he meant.

Well, he actually did.

But his worry was how Yongsun would react to that. Either way he didn’t think this was the right time or place if she did agree. He’d imagined a place that was a bit more-

Not that he’d ever imagined or thought about it. N… ope.

He was quite clearly blushing like crazy by now and looked away to try to hide it. So maybe he did like her by this point. Kind of. Possibly. Maybe just a little? A-lot-a-little. Sort of.

Possibly-for-sure. Maybe.

But what he was completely certain of was that he didn’t want to reject her or the possibility. That could give her the wrong idea. But it still felt a little early for that and again if it was to happen to at some point eventually, then it definitely wasn’t going to be because of a setup in his own kitchen.

Call it cheesy but if it was ever-in-the-history-of-ever going to happen, it’d be somewhere nicer and not just because the choice was sprung on them by somebody else.

What a mess. He was a mess. But he had to act eventually.

“… Well, uh.” He quietly cleared his throat and waited until some of the color had faded from his cheeks before looking back to Yongsun. “It’s tradition, right?” Oof. He didn’t want her to think it was just because of that. But it wasn’t like he knew where she was at this point and he couldn’t ask without being obvious or being asked the question right back.

Again, not the time or place for that answer.

But instead of avoiding any kiss completely, there was something that he thought would be appropriate. A bit playful as well.

He leaned closer to Yongsun and brought her hand up, before gently kissing the back of it and smiling a little. “That- uhm, counts, right…?” Having actually done something instead of just standing there rambling, Manuel felt a flicker of confidence before adding, “If not, I could try again?” And then it was just as quickly gone. “I meant-” Shit. Wait. Where’d that even come from? Abort mission. He stopped leaning towards her and ended up clearing his throat again as his eyes found a wickedly grinning Hayeon.

“… Maybe we should finish decorating-”

Manuel rolled up his sleeves to pretend he actually had any idea what he was doing. Maybe this dessert was a little out of his skill range? But he couldn’t give up now. He didn’t want to make a fool of himself in front of Yongsun- though he doubted she’d see him like that anyway. Even though part of the reason he was so ambitious was to impress her? But no she didn’t have to know that. No one did. “I have it all taken care of.” He didn’t know if he sounded as assured as he thought he did. Probably… not… but.. he tried. Maybe that was enough to get him out of this mess.

“Oh uh- I didn’t mean to sound like that. I’m sorry. “Stay out of it” was harsh.” There was a break in concentration when he realized his wording and internally winced. Actually he literally winced but didn’t realize it. “I just meant that it’s okay. I’ve got this…?”

Manny looked to the messy mixture then went silent. The internet warned him that making macarons at home was a near-impossible feat if you weren’t a seasoned baker. And the internet did not lie. He stared at the improperly mixed whiles and sugar a bit longer before sighing. “Okay maybe a… little help would be nice. Uhm- maybe we can still save it? Maybe. Probably…?”

He didn’t remember exactly what he said. All he knew was that it was a pretty automatic reassurance… Not in the sense that it meant nothing. More like he knew it was needed in the moment, and he didn’t even have to think twice about it. So, he was surprised when he was suddenly pulled in. “Oh, uh-” But adverse to it? Not at all. Just not expecting it. After a moment, he smiled and gladly returned the hug. “It’s no problem? Maybe not the best transition, but he thought it was a cute observation, so he mentioned it. Although, he immediately noted that it could be a little too close for Yongsun’s liking and quickly moved back instead. “Ah, I’m sorry- like I said before though, it’s… okay-?”

Of course she’d had no problems with him borrowing her phone, especially if it was to check in on his sister. In fact, she thought it was sweet. He worried about Hayeon wanted to make sure she was safe, and even though Yongsun didn’t have any siblings of her own, she understood. Of course, his promise to return it had her lips quirking in a playful manner. How could she not tease him just a bit for stating the obvious? And then, when he was off the phone, she had to tease him just once more... this time by asking to borrow a kiss.

Okay, so she had very, very, little experience with relationships. Her career was pretty time consuming and, honestly, until she’d met Manny she hadn’t really put much thought into it. But she felt comfortable with him, like it was all pretty easy. Maybe that was because she didn’t feel the need to put on a front- she played a part on stage, but off it? It was nice to have someone who she could be herself with. Even better was the fact that he was willing to take her little joke one step further. (And there were those butterflies in her stomach all over again!)

“The interest on kisses is that high?” She asked, pretending to be surprised, following it with some feigned contemplation. The hardest part, though, was keeping a smile off her face, “Well, as long as I can return them whenever...” All at once? A few scattered through the day? “That works for me. I’ll borrow one now and pay it back later... plus the interest, of course.” Maybe with a few extra, too. You know, just because she’s that nice.

Yongsun had been hesitant to even bring it up. Going stargazing was kind of a romantic thing, right? She didn’t want him getting the wrong (or right?) idea and then start feeling awkward because of it. But maybe Valentine’s day had been a hint? A not-so-subtle one, if it was; or completely misinterpreted if it wasn’t. That was the scary part- misunderstanding. Rejection. Feeling like an idiot for overthinking.  Then again, overthinking was exactly what she’d done before deciding to just ask him if he’d go stargazing with her. And when he’d agreed, she’d been maybe more excited than she should have been? In her defense, she didn’t get to do things like this often. She grew up being able to lie down on the grass at night and trace constellations with her fingertip, only for it all to be taken away by the light pollution of the city. A chance to catch a proper look at the stars was nostalgic for her. Having Manny with her when she did so would only make things better, like sharing with him a quiet little piece of herself.

The view didn’t disappoint. It was a bit chilly out, but that meant the sky was mostly clear, no clouds to cover up the stars. She would have never felt secure enough to come up here alone. With Manuel’s hand in hers, though, there was both a sense of security and contentment. Yongsun felt at ease. It helped that he seemed to appreciate the view as much as she did. He was right- it was beautiful.

Eyes fixated on the sky, she didn’t notice when his gaze wandered. Maybe she could make out a constellation or two to point out to him? She hadn’t done it in years and she wasn’t sure if the same ones she was familiar with would even be here, but she could try, right? If her father was here, he’d be able to point them all out, surely.

But her attention was soon grabbed by something far more important. She’d been listening to Manny the whole time, even if her eyes were on the sky, so when he mentioned that he’d had a thought, she turned her full attention towards him, “You’re not ruining anything, don’t worry.” She assured him with a smile. It’s not as though the stars were going to start blinking out while they were looking away from them or something. They’d still be right there when the conversation was finished. Besides, whatever he was thinking about was far more important, “What’s on your mind?”

Maybe it was a bit of an obvious choice, but Christmas was, without a doubt, Yongsun’s favorite holiday. It had always been a major celebration growing up, and even now that they were living a fair distance from most of the rest of their family. It was hard not to love the “togetherness” of it all. Time spent watching Christmas movies with her family, the sweet scents of baked goods, the bright, colorful lights and decorations. For a lot of people, the magic of it was lost as they grew up, but for Yongsun that wasn’t the case. It had seemed even more exciting to her when she was old enough that she could contribute more to every part of the holiday- the baking, the decorating, buying gifts, and so on. 

So when Manny had invited her (and Aayla) over, she was excited to maybe help with decorating... and, just, whatever else he wanted, really. Aayla might not be very helpful, but her cute face would be motivational, right~?

Her first thought when he answered the door was not a thought she was willing to share (It’s only been a few days, but almost forgot how cute his smile is). Her next thought came with the realization that someone else was there: That must be Hayeon! After all, Manny had mentioned that she would be there and he certainly hadn’t mentioned anyone else joining them. Soooo... yes. that was definitely Hayeon. (And Hayeon was just as happy to meet Aayla as Aayla was to meet her, apparently.) “She’s basically a big ball of fluff and affection.” Yongsun said with a small laugh, Aayla immediately getting all wiggly and excited for the attention and cooing despite Hayeon being a stranger. If Yongsun was comfortable, then Aayla was comfortable. That’s usually how it went. And, seriously, how could Yongsun not feel comfortable when she was, for the moment, wrapped up in Manuel’s arms like she was now?  “It’s fine~ Aayla loves it. Clearly.” In fact, Aayla appeared to have another new best friend out of this, sitting at Hayeon’s side with that big goofy smile of hers, totally prepared for all the pets and attention she might be getting again soon. 

Then Manuel said something that confused her for a moment.So... wait? Hayeon didn’t want him to help with the decorating? Well that was odd. Maybe she was just particular about how things were done? It was possible. But before Yongsun could bother asking, Manny was suggesting that they help anyway and any questions had left her mind, “We should definitely help with the decorations,” She agreed, excited to get started. It might be a little frustrating sometimes (like when the lights refused to be untangled, or when things just wouldn’t stay in place after you’d put them up), but there was something nice about it, anyway. And maybe even something kind of sweet about decorating together?

This was nice. A chance to meet Hayeon, to talk to her (and to see the way she and Manny interacted- So this is what it’s like to have siblings; I guess it’s kind of like Wheein and I?). There was light conversation and Aayla had found a good place to lie down so she was out of the way but still close enough that she felt included (and could get pets, of course. Pets were most important). Then the conversation had shifted from being just about Christmas to being about family. And, oh god, did Yongsun have a lot of family. She definitely didn’t expect Manny to remember them, “It is kinda ridiculous, isn’t it? It was always a pain to fit so many people in one place for Christmas. Not that everyone was together for Christmas every year, but most of us were.” She smiled softly, a little shyly. Not that they had to worry about that much anymore (which was both fortunate and unfortunate all at once). Living in South Korea meant that it was usually just her, her parents, and her friend Wheein. Christmas Eve a couple of relatives showed up sometimes, but they weren’t especially close. It felt more obligatory than genuine.  When Manny started talking about his own Christmases, Yongsun mostly paused her actions to listen. Doing so only made it that much more noticeable when he tensed up suddenly. Whatever he’d been about to say wasn’t something he was necessarily comfortable with sharing. Or maybe he just hadn’t felt like talking about his own Christmases at all? Yongsun wasn’t sure and she couldn’t even make a guess at it, really. But that was fine. And so was his short period of fumbling for words after his sudden pause.

Hayeon came to his rescue, though. Albeit, unwittingly. Burnt food? There were worse things than burnt food, that was for sure, so this wasn’t much of a problem at all really if that’s all it was. Especially considering Manuel had had the foresight to prep something for backup, “Backup? Does this happen often?” She asked with a soft laugh, “My mom used to have to do the same thing when dad was trying new recipes.” When he offered his hand, Yongsun didn’t even think twice about it. She gladly placed her own in his and walked the short distance to the kitchen like that. It was practically second nature by now to hold his hand when they were walking together. 

So this was about... pancakes? And she didn’t want Manny to help despite calling for his assistance? Yongsun stood beside Manuel, confused. Did Hayeon want her help instead? It seemed an odd situation, but Yongsun would have been perfectly happy to help if Hayeon asked. She must have had a reason for calling them over only to tell Manuel she wasn’t looking for his help. Though after she had pointed to herself and Hayeon gave another negative response, they had every reason to be suspicious. Why would she call them out to the kitchen pretending she needed help if there was nothing to help with?

That question was answered pretty much immediately. Hayeon’s gaze moved to a spot above them. Manuel’s followed. And, finally, Yongsun’s. Mistletoe? When had that gotten there? Was Hayeon trying to get them to-? Yongsun would be lying if she said she hadn’t thought about what it might be like... 

Not that that was something she’d ever admit out loud. Besides, it’s not like it meant anything, right? People wondered all the time what kissing their friends would be like... didn’t they? Okay. Probably not. And Yongsun certainly hadn’t considered the question about, well, anyone, until a couple weeks ago when she and Manny were making dinner together. He had smiled at he and, suddenly, the thought had just popped up like it was supposed to be there...

She certainly couldn’t blame Manuel for his reaction. Her own hadn’t been much better- her face was warm, probably pink with embarrassment, and, worse, she’d practically frozen up, unsure of what to do. Should she tell him traditions be damned, he didn’t have to kiss her? Or should she wait and see what he might do? Give yourself a second to calm down, Yongsun. You’re heart’s beating too fast. If she could focus more on Manny and less on the question of whether he was about to kiss her or not...

She nodded in reply to his question. It was tradition. Though she really didn’t want him to feel obligated to do this just because it was a tradition. But it’s not like she could say that out loud without the worry of sounding like maybe she didn’t want to kiss him. Did she want to kiss him? And did he want to kiss her? She knew the answer to the first question- yes. maybe. out of curiosity? because she’d been noticing, lately, how ridiculously attractive he was? (And maybe, just maybe, these thoughts were starting to making some sense to her now.) But there was still the question of Manuel. He had looked just as embarrassed as she was. Was that a good thing? Or was it because he was trying to find any way possible to get out of this? 

Then again, maybe it would be better if the first time they kissed was under different circumstances. Er... not that that was necessarily going to happen, of course. She wasn’t even sure where Manny stood on all of this (and she was a bit confused in regards to herself, too) But if it did happy... wouldn’t it be better that it happened... naturally?... not just because of a piece of strategically placed mistletoe. (Why had Hayeon done this anyway?)

Yongsun didn’t have time to think on it much, though. The sight of Manny leaning in had basically erased everything from her mind. Everything except the realization that she couldn’t pretend she didn’t understand her own thoughts anymore. This was definitely more than just “curiosity” and she couldn’t help it that it was hard to want to stay “just friends”. And sometimes, didn’t it kind of seem like maybe he felt the same way? But he didn’t kiss her. At least not how she thought he might. Yet somehow... this was better? Small. Playful. She wouldn’t have to question what it meant. She ducked her head to hide just how much she was smiling over something so simple. Is this what people meant when they talked about “getting butterflies”? If so, then she understood why people talked about it like it was something exciting. It felt nice. Really nice. Then came that final question from Manny- still playful, but with a more self-assured voice. Oh god, those “butterflies” were really fluttering now. Had he just been teasing her? Or was it something more than that?

Now wasn’t the time to get into it. Yongsun softly laughed it off- maybe they could pretend it had just been a joke (perhaps it really had been a joke despite the fact that he was clearly flustered again), “Maybe next time?” She replied, keeping a tone that suggested this was all just part of the playful banter. Though if there was a next time...

Still clearly a bit embarrassed both by what had happened and by her own words, Yongsun replied, “Y-Yeah. Decorating. We should finish that.” Oops. For a moment she’d forgotten that’s why she was even here.

It wasn’t exactly a lunch date like they’d initially spoken about, but it was the best they could do when trying to work around both of their schedules (especially considering hers lately had mostly been “get there at this time and leave when you’re done which could be one hour later or 6 hours later- who knows!″). It had seemed, for a while, like the universe was completely against them meeting up again... but they’d made it work. Thankfully. Because Yongsun wasn’t just eager to properly thank Manny (both for saving her at that club and for being so kind about her spilling her drink on him the last time they’d met), but also because she was just eager to see him again. They’d been texting a fair amount since their last accidental meet up, and though it wasn’t quite the same as getting to actually talk to him, it had been nice. 6pm had been their agreed meeting time and they’d decided to wait to go in together, so there was no reason for her to be concerned that he wasn’t here yet. She was, after all, 13- now 12- minutes early. It should have given her a minute to relax before he showed up (still hyped after a fansigning only a couple hours earlier), but instead it gave her time to worry a little. What if he didn’t like the food? What if he thought she looked weird with her now pale blonde hair? What if they couldn’t find enough in common to talk about in person? Or what if he’d just been polite and any minute now he was going to text her with an excuse for not coming? But that fear was quickly set aside at 5:50 exactly. Manny kind of stuck out in the small crowd around him, passing by him. Yongsun waved to him, hoping he would spot her and come join her. Thank god that seemed to work, and a couple moments later she was jogging up to him and resisting the urge to throw her arms around him (she’d learned the hard way a while ago that not everyone was as excited for hugs as she was), “Hi~ You’re early.” She commented. Then realized that it must have sounded stupid because she was also early, “I guess we had the same idea- I just got here.” For just a second, she held out her hand for him to take, then, again, reminded herself that most people weren’t as open with physical contact as she was and she (very poorly) tried to play it off by quickly tucking her hair behind her ear, “So I guess we can go in now?”

In bed, which muses are dominant and which muses are submissive?

((I was just going to do a list for each, but there are a lot of muses that aren’t really either? So I’m going to do each muse, one by one, and just put it under a read more :)

Sooyeon: She’s a switch. She can, honestly, be either depending on her partner. Though she hasn’t had many sexual partners, it seems like she tends to be more submissive with men and more dominant with women- this isn’t always true, of course, but that tends to be how it goes. 

Seunghyun: He’s also a switch. Granted, he’s only had one other sexual partner than Miran. But it depends on his partner, on his partner’s mood. If Miran is feeling particularly dominant, he’s completely okay with following her lead. But sometimes he likes taking control.

Hyuna: Again, she tends to switch it up. Usually, though, she’s more dominant. In past relationships she hasn’t put much trust into her partners, and that manifested in her feeling the need to be in control even in bed (former trauma really doesn’t help that matter). But with Jiho, she’s fine in either role, or even switching it up in the middle- sweetly taking orders but then pushing him on his back and riding him how she wants or something like that.

Kyuhyun: Dominant. There’s no question about that. While I’m sure he has the ability to switch (most people do), he’s only ever been with Chanmi and Chanmi tends to be a rather submissive partner. That said, he’s also a soft boi. He’s not the kind of dom to, like, call his partner a “slut”- he’s more into telling Chanmi how cute she is or how well she’s doing, praising her.

GaIn: Also dominant. It’s very, very, rare that she’ll take a submissive role. It just doesn’t suit her. 

Kwon: Submissive, generally speaking. He can be dominant with the right partner, but he typically takes a more submissive role. He also doesn’t seem like he would, but he loves some good dirty talk…

Hyojin: She switches depending on her partner, though usually she prefers a slightly more dominant role. She likes some mild bondage, but more importantly she likes seeing her partner all helpless and submissive- it’s a real turn on for her.

Hyuk: Dominant leaning, for sure. But in a playful way most of the time. He doesn’t get that into kinky stuff and prefers semi-vanilla sex with a little extra to spice it up, if that makes sense. He tends to be the one to start things with Nayoung, but that’s not always the case, either. If Nayoung is feeling a little more dominant that day, then he’ll gladly take a more submissive role and see how things play out~

Yongsun: She’s never been in a sexual relationship before so this is a little difficult. Even so, I think she’d tend to be more submissive. But I also think that she could easily surprise her partner, once she was comfortable enough, by taking the lead and testing her own limits and desires by doing so. Though she’s nervous now, I think Manny would be in for a bit of adventure- she’s rather open to new experiences, so once she’s comfortable she’d be fine with trying most thing.

Junsu: Dom! Dom! Dom! Doesn’t matter who his partner is- if he can’t be in control, he feels weird and won’t enjoy himself as much. He’s into trying just about anything (and already has, I can assure), and he really likes dirty talk. I would give examples, but I think you can imagine. He’s not very easily emotionally connected to people, so he does sometimes think of his partners more like objects- which is awful, but true- especially if they’re a one night stand.

Wheein: It really depends on the situation and her partner, but Wheein tends to lean towards being more submissive. She likes to lose control and do whatever her partner wants her to do, whatever will make her partner feel good. 

Youjin: Dominant, for sure. He’ll gladly give Eunbi the control if she wants it, but he feels best when he’s the one initiating things and giving orders. He likes being in control, possibly partly because he hasn’t had a lot of control in his own life outside of his sexual exploits.

Chloe: I really have no idea? She’s never had sex before, so it’s hard to tell with her… but I think she’d be a switch. Once she felt comfortable, it would just kind of be whatever mood she (and/or her partner) was in that day would determine it.

Jinyong: Definitely a switch. For him it’s entirely dependent on his partner- he’s comfortable in either role.

Hyemi: She’s a submissive who likes to flip the roles in the middle and become the dominant one. Not always, but usually. She likes dirty talk and taking orders… until she gets bored of just following the rules and she takes control into her own hands.

Jaewon: Generally pretty dominant, but softly so. He likes to make his partner feel sexy but also loved. So he may take the lead, but he’s really not usually the kind to give orders or anything… unless his partner is into that.

Nicholas: He switches it up. With his ex-fiancee he was a little more on the dominant side- she was soft and sweet (or seemed to be) and she liked him to take control. In the short time he and Ellie were together, he was more submissive to her dominant presence and just kind of went with the flow. 

Ericka: Dominant. She can be submissive, definitely, but she tends to feel her best when she has some control. I think that’s going to work pretty well with David, too, everything considered. She’ll take the lead and show him what she likes while helping him figure out what he likes, too.

Avery: Generally he’s more dominant. Not in an over the top way, just in the fact that he takes the initiative usually. But as long as he and his partner are both enjoying themselves, that’s really all he cares about.

Sarah: Submissive. At least most of the time. She’s a kindergarten teacher, so most of the day she just falls into that role- sweet and innocent and cute. But behind closed doors she likes how sexy being submissive makes her feel.

Donghae: Dominant! For him, how dominant he is depends on his partner, but he definitely tends to be more on the dominant side. Of course, he can switch if need be, but he really doesn’t prefer to.

Ryeowook: He switches it up depending on his partner. He tends to be more submissive with other men, though, and more dominant when his partner is a woman. That’s not always the case, of course, but that’s generally how it goes.

Yewon: Submissive. 1000%. I can’t imagine her taking control or being dominant, though she’d try if that’s what her partner wanted. That said, she’s still a virgin, but I think she’d like a submissive role- being told how cute/pretty she is, being called “sweetheart” or “baby” or “princess”, cute names like that while she’s told how well she’s doing / how good she feels. I also think she’d like being told what to do: “Get on your knees” “Open your mouth” “Spread your legs for me” “Strip”- anything like that. 

Jinsun: Dominant. Like Junsu, I really can’t imagine him enjoying a more submissive role? But that said, he’d try it if his partner wanted him to. I just don’t think it would be his preference.

Kijung: Surprisingly not as dominant as you’d think. He’s more of a switch. He can definitely be dominant, but he also enjoys relinquishing control if he’s with the right person. Something about letting go and just mindlessly having sex is something he really enjoys.

@snstone Everything was prepped. Or, as prepped as possible considering Yongsun had accidentally overslept and only had an hour and a half to shower and get everything ready. Not that there was much to do, really. It was all casual, right? Just a casual afternoon of watching movies, making snacks, and basically just lazing around. No big deal! Except for the fact that she’d realized only a few months ago that maybe she sort of kind of (definitely) liked Manny? Like... liked him in the way that she felt shy around him sometimes. Liked him in the way that her heart beat had beat a little too fast that night under the mistletoe when she thought he might actually kiss her. She liked him in the way that she really, seriously, wanted everything to go super well today even if they’d had days like this one a few times already. And, unfortunately, Aayla wasn’t even here this weekend to keep them company. Instead, she was off visiting Yongsun’s parents and their new dog. Though now Yongsun had a bunch of photos she could show Manny of big Aayla gently playing with her parents new golden retriever puppy (apparently, she’d basically been mothering the little one; not that that surprised Yongsun at all, Aayla had always been super affectionate). Ah, but thinking about Aayla so much was just a way to distract herself from looking at the clock again. She had maybe 15 minutes before he showed up... assuming he was exactly on time (though he would probably be early?). Only 15 minutes to calm the heck down and remind herself that she had absolutely no reason at all to feel even a little bit flustered about this. She didn’t have to think too much on it. It was just a cozy day in with Manuel. Her sweet, gentle, non-judgemental, and crazy handsome, friend. Wait- no- don’t think about that last part!

Sure enough, just as expected, it was a few minutes before noon when Manny was at her door, and the already nervous woman felt a bit self-conscious as soon as she realized this. She’d told him to dress comfortably “Whatever’s best for wasting away the whole day on the couch” was exactly what she’d told him because, obviously, that was mostly how they would be spending their day. And yet she’d tried to make her casual-comfortable look seem kind of... cute? Not like dressed up with a cute floral print dress and full face of makeup cute, but like... cute enough to maybe get his attention a little? Which was dumb because who else would have his attention when it was literally just the two of them? Seriously, she was not good at this. Like.. she didn’t want to be too obvious because that would totally freak him out, right? But too subtle and he’d think she didn’t like him, which would be bad if he liked her too? She felt like a dumb teenager with her first crush. Though that wasn’t too far off, really. She wasn’t a teenager, but this was definitely the first time she’d actually really liked anyone before. Oh god, maybe she shouldn’t bother. A girl her age who’d never really even dated before? He’d find that so weird, wouldn’t he? Then she would just be embarrassed and self-conscious all over again. Yongsun waited an extra second before answering the door so that it wouldn’t seem like she’d been standing around waiting for him (though that’s basically what she’d been doing the last few minutes because she was afraid she wouldn’t answer the door quick enough?). And then she was greeted by that cute smile of his and she thought she might melt into a puddle right there on the spot. But at the same time, she felt kind of... less nervous? Like oh, yeah, okay, it’s just Manny and he’s really nice and really attractive and I really like him but he’s not going to suddenly hate me if something doesn’t go perfectly so I’m fine and everything is fine and I can calm down a little. Once he was inside, she closed the door behind him before she wrapped her arms around him in a friendly hug. (She was totally 100% biased, but he definitely gave the best hugs.) When she pulled away she gave him a smile, one that started out happy, then faded into a bit apologetic, “I forgot to tell you but Aayla isn’t here today so you’re stuck with only me.” A small, somewhat shy, laugh before she explained, “My parents got a new puppy last weekend and they wanted Aayla to meet her.” She figured the explanation was necessary. After all, Aayla was usually right there to greet him when he came over, sometimes even trying to get Manny’s attention before Yongsun could hug him, “I hope that’s okay?
