I just wanted to re-write my more NSFW headcanons since it's been a little while since I made them original post and I think I've improved with both my writing and my layouts. LET'S TALK HSR PENACONY 2.1 (or rather, have my impressions and thoughts on the main quest and some other stuff)

First of all, I went out of it with so many thoughts and emotions. This is not gonna be spoiler free (duh).

ACHERON IS SO FUN TO PLAY. Like, really really fun. Finally Simulated Universe is not an annoying pain anymore, and much quicker too. Thanks to a good friend of mine her relics aren't too bad either. She's already so fun to play with Black Swan, can't wait for a Kafka rerun now 💀

Aa for the story now: I FUCKING KNEW MIKHAIL WAS THE WATCHMAKER. I KNEW IT. Now to wait for them to confirm that Misha is connected to him, either as a ghost of his past self or a child or some sort. It's the only way.

It's also really refreshing to see that HSR is giving 4star characters significant roles in the story. First it was Tingyun, now it's Gallagher (and maybe Misha? I'll die on this hill).

Loved the pacing. Story was quite long and lots of gameplay but didn't feel overwhelming at all, probably because we didn't just stick to the MC the whole time. The characters split up and we didn't just follow the express crew but also Aventurine, I really loved that. It felt so dynamic and immersive.

WELT AND ACHERON INTERACTION. BRO. The way I gasped the whole time. We still don't have a canon confirmation of how Raiden Mei and Acheron or just generally HI3rd and HSR are connected but it's sp clear that Acheron is by far the closest connection yet. So sp excited to find out more about this. Raiden Mei, I'll love you in every universe.

Aventurine and Ratio are also very interesting to me. What does Ratio gain by involving himself in all of this? What does he get out of it? Anyway, their little journey through the mansion was nice. GIGANTIC RATIO. The kinda stuff my dreams are made of tbh.

Generally the whole Aventurine story got me right from the beginning. He's generally one of the most interesting characters to me (although this game has plenty of them). I gotta admit of course I was suspicious of him (as one should be of all Penacony characters) but I liked him nevertheless. This patch supported my feelings, my GOD HE xkdjjdjdjd. The way I cried. Since I played the story so late ofc I saw some spoilers/screenshots of his backstory but I never expected it to hit me this hard. Just wow. His ending, too. It's so bitter. Kinda hope we get to see him again, since he'a mot really dead, right? Just in some limbo.

His boss fight was really something. Not a lot of different patterns, but I still had to try a bunch of different teams, since you're kinda fucked even with just a single single target character in your party. Had to unbench Clara, and I gotta say, she came through for me. I might not have used the most meta team, but it worked soooo...

And just as I was glad I had managed the fight they hit you with that big cut scene, woah. AND THEN WITH THE FIREFLY SCENE? AND SUNDAY????

First of all, apparently it was common knowledge among the community since last patch that Sam was Firefly. Yeah, I gwt it bc of the leaks and stuff. But I'm just so confused as to HOW. Like HOW and WHY and just generally HUH. I can't wait for them to explain this connection (if you're reading this and you wanna spoil me with non-confirmed stuff then leave it, please, I might as well wait another 3 weeks).

And then Gallagher and Sunday... Just as I was admiring Sunday's beauty because he might legit just be one of the most gorgeous male character designs... THEY KILL HIM. When I tell ypu I was SHOOK. Mouth agape and all. Didn't know what to do. What a cliffhanger.

Now I don't have a real theory as to what I think will happen. If I remember correctly they said the main story will stretch until 2.3, right? I really wonder what else will happen, the story already seemed so huge this patch and I really wonder how it'll conclude. There's still so many questions and stories. Might add on to this post later when I have more thoughts.

Also Aventurine's banner just dropped but as of writing this I haven't pulled yet. Might add a little post later about it.

I think an important thing to remember when discussing Lestat as a queer icon (since it's a topic on the blog lately) is the fact that he's a queer horror icon. That man was never going to be a good man lol. It's exactly how Dr. Frank-n-Furter is a queer icon despite also being a villain and problematic. It's important to see people that we could relate to or admire in some aspects also be completely terrible, to avoid conflating someone you like with someone you who is good/should be imitated. Especially in the context of domestic violence and abuse in queer relationships. I wish this nuance was more present in fandom, because I don't like how people either treat Lestat like he's just a regular queer icon (as in, they ignore the part that makes him a horror to deal with), or diminish his queerness.

I'm also looking forward to people claiming Louis as a queer icon, I have hopes that it will become a more widespread topic as the show simmers, because I also think that Lestat being heralded as a queer icon in the show comes from decades and decades of him being considered one outside of it. This is the firts time (to my knowledge) that Louis has been compelling to the general public, so I guess with time he'll gain more weight in that discussion. I know it might sound too optimistic, given how black queer characters are usually treated, but I'd rather feel like we can go somewhere with this than feeling dejected.

I would write so many things about Lestat's and Louis' queerness and how they differ and interact and affect their lives and the narrative if I had the time. I'd also like to read/hear more about how Louis' queerness interacts and overlaps with his identity as a black man, so if you (or anyone) have any recs I'll gladly take them.

I think the discussion and even the portrayal of DV in queer (and interracial) relationships is a *huge* one for ppl to sidestep and has been one of the most disappointing things here tbh. we *haven't* seen that explored much in queer stories and it's so fucking *common* irl. there's a *lot* to explore there in so many directions, but ppl skip over that all the time just bcuz they don't want anyone to be "mean" to lestat. u can like things and still discuss and criticize them. as u said, look at the rocky horror picture show and the impact that's had. a lot of queer existence in general is always being "other" somehow, and that's why horror is such a good genre for it. to strip that away bcuz u just wanna play rupaul's drag race with lestat is....I mean, ppl can do what they want on their own, but this collective bullshit of forcing others to conform to this too and thinking ur "right" for doing it is a majority of the reason this fandom sucks. most ppl don't even hate lestat tbh, it's these fans that are the problem. nobody lets anyone meet the story where it's at.

I def think, regardless of what the show ends up becoming as a whole, that amc louis has made a huge impact as a black, queer character in major media. I hope ppl continue to analyze him and be inspired by this character and keep it all rolling forward. nobody expected this to be as good as it was at portraying louis and we're blessed af to have jacob in the part too.

god, I don't remember all the good posts I've seen about louis anymore. I tried to even look but I think most were out of the tags and long ago too. I remember a rly good one talking about claudia's relationship to louis and how he prbly wasn't allowed to play with grace's dolls as a kid, so claudia was kind of his "permission" to do that. it also gives a slightly different perspective to claudia's "doll-like" existence, since this was not something explored in louis in the books or 1994 film.

I feel like, if u or anyone is unfamiliar with james baldwin, reading his stuff will give some irl perspective to amc louis too in various ways. equal in paris is a good S2 companion. I think rolin jones even said giovanni's room was an inspiration for S2 too.

Ranking Nico Di Angelo ships as a multishipper with a crazy imagination, a Nico hyperfixation of 3 years, and the willpower of a god:

1. Solangelo - 8/10 I love them!! I adore Will in TSATS and he’s easily one of my favorite characters. I wish Rick had let us get to know Will separately before he was immediately made Nico’s boyfriend, but I love him anyway. I think they’re good for each other and very supportive. I think I spend too much time consuming media of them than their actual book interactions, because in media I hate their fanon portrayals, but I adore them in cannon. I only had the chance to read half of TSATS, but I thought it was cute!

2. Jasico - 10/10 I love them for the same reasons I love Solangelo, but Jason got character development and Will didn’t. Also, they had a cool moment with Cupid that I think about once a week at least. Jason is constantly someone Nico trusts and (I may be wrong) hugs at some point in the series. The only people Nico has shown direct physical affection to within the series (to my knowledge) are Will, Jason, Hazel, and Reyna. This proves how much Nico trusts Jason, even after Cupid. Also they’re silly and dumb and I love them so I’m right always

3. Nico x Conner - 10/10 I FUCKING LOVE THEM SO MUCH. Lemme explain. So when Nico came to camp he stayed with the Hermes cabin, but Luke was already fucked off (I think) so Conner and Travis were probably in charge of the cabin. Conner’s age changes several times, so I headcannon him to be just a tad older than Nico. I think since he knew Nico when he was a kid he can make present day Nico less doom and gloom and know when he’s truly happy. Also, Nico went to a notably strict military school before coming to camp, yk what they say, strict conditions raise sneaky kids. Thats right, these two are fucking nuts. They are little thieves. And I don’t even wanna mention the implications of Conner’s dad (Lin Manuel Miranda) being the god of travelers and Nico essentially being an eternal traveller. They make me so sick I love them

4. Nico x Clovis - 7/10 they were mentioned as friends MAYBE once and I took that shit and ran with it tbh. I don’t even remember if it’s cannon. I just love them. I THINK it was mentioned that Clovis helps Nico with his nightmares, but atp this shit might just be my imagination or a fic I read once. Anyways, Nico is noted as a very anxious person, and Clovis is very laid back. I really like that duo and the idea that Clovis can help to ground him a lot and help him relax

5. Valdengelo - 6/10 while I do adore them, they have hardly any time together or any bonding moments at all (Note: I am a hypocrite over Clovis let’s fight abt it) I do love media about them and consume it at rates not comprehendible by mankind though. Aside from no time together, I think they’re epic. Nico experiences a lot of the same things as Leo, such as losing his mother and general sadness, but they cope in wildly different ways (neither of which are healthy). Also, Nico grew up in the lotus casino. I’m sick of us all acting like he doesn’t understand technology. Let them be engineer boyfriends PLEASE

6. Pernico. - 0/10 I don’t care at all if other people ship them, since it’s fandom and you can do whatever you want. I just personally don’t enjoy their chemistry and see them more as brothers. You do you tho.

Keep in mind this is just my opinion please don’t take anything too personal!! I love all ships (almost.) equally and if you have any fic recommendations for any of these please give them to me I’m desperate

When I say that,as a new fan, most the shipping drama comes from Percabeth shippers and just their general corner from what I observed, I am NOT lying.

Some of y'all are rabit- especially with your hatred of any girl getting it on with Percy that isn't Annabeth (*cough* Calypso and Rachel *cough*) And good god the reactions I saw from some of y'all to people who said they disliked Percabth. Lukercy shippers on the other hand? Nah coolest people ever. Literally just chilling in a corner doing their own thing. Most respectful group of shippers I have seen in any fandom. I have multiple mutuals who ship Lukercy, each one is the coolest most chillest person ever. Personally, I see Lukercy in a more platonic sense, when to topic of that ship ever came up the convo literally was just : "yeah I ship Lukercy" "Oh, okay. Personally not my cup of tea 'cause I see them more platonic" "lmao cool, anyway-" Meanwhile how it went when I talked about not liking Percabeth :

"I don't really like Percabeth tbh. I don't think their characters fit together and I'm just not that invested with Percy and Annabeth as a whole" "OMG How could you say that ! -Enter an essay about how great Percabeth is and how this is wrong, and how my opinion is a bad faith statement and toxic-"

i listen to SO MUCH MUSIC!!!!! it depends on what im wrting tbh but i just queue up a bunch of songs in my liked playlist and write and write until it ends or im no longer on that flow. and well my music taste is an absolute mess so there isnt any one definitive band or genre that does it for me (i only pay attention Sometimes) but i suppose artists like mitski and queen would be a decent summary of my taste 😅

50) How did you get into reading and/or writing fanfiction?

gravity falls, no stop. the first one that ever piqued my interest was versability (originally on ff.net me thinks) and god damn it HOOKED ME!!!! gravity falls was already getting me up but wow that just got me SO MUCH HIGHER. i have a few authors i started binge reading like thesnadger and pinesinthewoods, i started extracting fics from reccs from tumblr artists, soon discovered ao3, and never looked back. and as for writing fic,,,,, well frankly it was the search for the cure’s original form that got me GOING!!!! it originally had crappy ocs as the forefronters but i soon changed that lmao (im definitely not saying theyre bad in general, just those… no) and i wrote So Much For It on my notes app. i didnt realize i culd actually show people until way later, in which i did, and realized that it could actually be better. thats why i reversed back to part one, made the story a part two, scapped the ocs, and…now we’re here. i still love it and gravity falls, i dont really show it here anymore. i really should, man. i need to write for them again!!!! it still excites me!!!! and the prose that im weaving now,,,, id DEMOLISH THE GAME!!!!!!! :)

though i suppose if i had to pick one here…god its between time loop and presumed dead (and grief/moruning but idk if thats a trope so much as it is a theme). okay. its finally time for the brainwashing discussing of the fic ! i can tell you alllll about that story and it will be my pleasure sonny 🫡 its a very long story. but short verison in case you dont want to go on: its a Titanic epic . april 1912. iceberg. ive read a few that are AMAZING, but i wanted to write one that catered it allll to Me. it has lesbians, heaven sucking ass, flood parallels, and a king of the world AND draw me like one of your french girls scene. very nice 🔥

okay now its time for the long story. so a super super long time ago for a post i cant even remember (i really wanna find it 😭😭) i for someone reason went on a tangent about the titanic. i had just read this fic called sinking into the sea which was tbh VERY GOOD (and i would read it again fr fr ) but at the time, i was kinda bummed that aziraphale and crowley never actually Interacted when i had expected. aziraphale didnt even know crowley was there!!! it left me feeling melancholy, and realizing that all of the titanic fics ive ate up to that point didnt HIT hit the spot (i didnt find this after this realization, but again, theyre not even on the boat 🤧) so i was feeling a bit incomplete. i started ranting and ranting it was a wholeee wall of a text of what I would do with a titanic story and i realized oh wait i can Do Something with this because i haev free will and actual (somewhat) coherent skill. pepper jumped on the wagon, REALLY REALLY encouraged which i cant thank enough for, and….we’re here. its brewing. i had a very large interest in the titanic for a long time before this tbh, so being able to insert it into The Interest just JUMPSTARTED my brain and it still does to this day. now for the plot….

its 2020, a year after the apocalypse (no pandemic). anathema, newt, brian, crowley, and aziraphale have been assigned to plan adam’s 12th birthday party—they shenanigan, as you do. on the day of the party (adam’s birthday) anathema and newt find a chest in jasmine cottage’s attic full of titanic relics, including a pack of polaroid photos (handheld cameras did indeed exist in 1912, i checked !) which kinda might sort of have a photo of aziraphale and crowley!?!?! it was sent to them about six months before. but after the whole Second Volume fiasco, anathema just sort of wrote it off in that way and Hid It. but newt was curious, he found it, and god it was writtent his way wasnt it. (well, not by the nutter they were thinking of actually). anathema confronts them about itsoon after, and they all sit down to hear the story of the titanic in a sort of rose dawson beat. then its 1912—50ish years since the holy water incident and almost a century since the resurrectionists disaster. aziraphale has been assigned to take this trip to new york for Some Reason (we found out why later) and happened to invite crowley to come along to attempt to make amends after Allat (he really does feel bad, but he will NOT do the holy water thing yet </3) shit occurs, but history atlarge will not be rewritten. it does change their story, though. adding a sprinkle of interest in the device family line. agnes prophec(y)(ies), dancing on deck under the stars, playing cards with humans and winning by a Lot, aziraphale’s artistic skills are put to use at one point—ughghgufhits just so DEAR TO ME!!!!! and of course the conflict will come later, especially considering the religious connections to the titanic sinking—“not even God can sink this ship” type conversation 🥰 aziraphale can and will be made uncomfortable. its for the character development dont worry about it. i even have a playlist for this fic (it sorted by the way the tone shifts thru the story, some songs are silly but they had to stay). pep has also made some song covers to some of the songs that ive heavily connected to the fic and I REALLY FUCKING LIKED. LIKE A LOT. THEYRE AMAZING YOU SHOULD LISTEN IF YOU WANT TO!!!!

the point of all this is that i like titanic fics and im trying to throw my hat in the ring even if its just for me and my friend 🔥🔥 because while others have fed me, i havent seen ones that have documented like Every Single Day on the titanic that aziraphale and crowley would theoretically have as well as developing aziraphale and crowley’s relationship while taking into account whats happened before (insert the story into a part of the timeline seamlessly i think thats how i’d describe) AS WELL AS connecting the reason why the titanic was such a freak tragedy and how the world is not fucking fair instead of just “oh whoops the thing sank 😞” i want NITTY GRITTY DETAIL!!!!!! I WANT GUILT!!!!!!! I WANT CHAOS!!!!!!!! I WANT TALKING ABOUT GOD!!!!!!! I WANT AZIRAPHALE IN A MENTAL CRISIS!!!!! I WANT CROWLEY JUST WANTING TO FUCKING LIVE FUCKING PEACEFULLY!!!!!!! More Pokemon Violet and Scarlet Chars!

I'm back with more character talk for Pokemon Violet! This time I have now offically finished all the main storylines so I have all the context now. Rika

Alright~! I'll be doing Rika first since she was specifically requested. She was another character whom I wont lie, I mistook her gender at first until I read the pronouns, I legit thought she was either a dude or perhaps nonbinary? But tbh I love Rika and her personality. She gives me like; "Cool older sister" vibes, particularly due to her interactions with a certain steel-type user. (I would ALSO like to know where she got those earrings cause I'd love a pair of those, this is coming from someone who doesn't wear jewelry, like, ever.) I would honestly love to have her as an older sister, or a girlfriend, cause she also gave me a BI panic. Just not as extreme as the one Grusha gave me. Turo

I literally just finished the main storyline not even five minutes ago as I'm writing this, so I HAVE to do this man cause I have THOUGHTS on his ass! (BIG SPOILERS FOR THE MAIN STORYLINE ENDING AHEAD. DO NOT READ PAST HERE IF YOU DO NOT WANT SPOILERS) I'm going to talk about the AI Professor Tur and the real Professor Turo as separate entities. Starting with the real Professor Turo, this man from what we are told about him... he's well...interesting. I personally have mixed feelings towards him, on one hand, I get the impression he was a little too invested in his little time machine project and didn't spend enough time with this son Arven, but on another hand he was definitely a clever man and the AI's last message to Arven about his dad is enough to soften my impression, but not enough to exonerate him, at least in my eyes. the AI Turo is quite interesting, to me it seems that he's choosing to, with the help of the other four, shut down the time machine of it's own volition, judging by the security protocols that you as the main character have to fight through, I don't think the real Turo would have shut the machine down. It wanted to explore the world but could not due to needing to stay near the time machine to stay functioning. I find the thought of the AI Turo having it's own adventure in the future quite interesting to think about too. Penny

Penny, my GIRL! I absolutely love Penny to BITS! I relate to penny quite a bit as a character, I myself used to be a victim of bullying and know what it's like. Her conversations with Arven in specific as you travel through area Zero are extremely amusing, as well as her reactions in general to Nemona's energy. (Her entire team of eeveelutions definitely didn't make me like her more at ALL~) Honestly I want that backpack of hers SO bad. It's so cute and I love eevee! She somewhat reminds me of Pidge Gunderson from Voltron Legendary Defender. However I think Penny is a litttle bit more socially awkward than Pidge is.

Oh my dear god where do I start with this man??? He is lil bit extra and I love him! His entrance actually scared the shite out of me ngl, did not expect him to pop up on the fucking windmill. Also I'm saying it now, I saw his lovely vine whip that's secured around his waist and the first word out of my mouth was, "Kinky!" no lie. I definitely see him as a bit of a theatre kid mixed in with his artist kid. I also reallllly wanna poke the pointy bits in his hair, even if it might cut me. (I wont lie though he was super easy for me as a gym leader cause by the time I got to his gym I was extremely over leveled.) Alright! Another four down! I can do more if anyone wants em~! Can't Stop Cursing You Crossover!

As stated, it's based on the Manga Can't Stop Cursing You. I won't go into detail about what it's about (please read it) but all you need to know is that people make deals with curse gods and kill people in brutal, supernatural ways.

In this AU, Kohane is the first victim of someone who made a contract with a curse god. Dealing with the grief of losing her girlfriend, An tags along with the two MCs of Can't Stop Cursing You to solve Kohane's murder (and other murders that pop up but I don't wanna spoil the whole thing).

I started a fic idk if I'll ever finish it

Possessed AU (I need a better name)

It's a no Sekai, Akito centric AU where Akito is still friends with a majority of the pjsk cast! Despite that, he kinda can't stand any of them. One day, while he was at work, the rest of the friend group decided to check out a haunted mansion.

But... They never return. Akito goes to the haunted mansion, just to find out everyone's been possessed by different demons (which are all Vocaloids, both in PJSK and out of it!). He realizes how much he cares for his friends after they have been possessed.

A couple characters are on each floor (there's 5 floors), and the higher the floor, the closer the person is to Akito. Each vocaloid represents a different thing, and makes the character it's possessing fight back against Akito in different ways.

Everyone goes THROUGH it, but especially Akito. (I could make a whole post based on this au alone if that's what the people desire)

KanaMafu Fantasy AU

Based on Kanade's Zamuza Card!

Basically, Mafumom is a mage and finds out Kanade and Mafuyu are dating. She gets pissed and turns Mafuyu into a butterfly. Not wanting Mafumom to do anything to Mafuyu (who is now defenseless), Kanade takes Mafuyu and flees, leaving her adoptive family (the Tenmas) behind.

She finds a small cabin in some woods FAR away, and starts working day in and day out for a way to turn Mafuyu back. She soon becomes known as the "forest hermit".

Traveling baker Honami Mochizuki finds Kanade, and decides to help her to her best abilities (and brings her friends into it).

AkiToya Angst AU

Basically, they never met. Vivid Bad Squad never formed, but every other group did. This takes place while they are young adults.

Touya had quit classical music, but could never find something to replace it. He's floating around (metaphorically), with no passions or anything he cares about.

Akito can't seem to make it in the street music business, despite being in it since high school. He tries his hardest, but everyone seems to push him aside as "someone who isn't talented enough".

I still need to establish this more tbh. This would feature a lot of the Shinonome siblings interacting because I love them

12. What do you wish would be discussed more often about them in the fandom?

I wouldn't say I'm super involved with most of the fandom tbh, so I don't particularly know all too well what is and isn't talked about by people... but.. I'd maybe like to see some more discussion on aspects of him that are like... not just about The Alters. since theres a lot more to DID than just having alters, and of course there is more to a person with DID than just their DID. I'm always a slut for talking about psychology and the impacts of trauma, so... perhaps more trauma discussion. I do know there's already people who talk about this stuff, so tbh this is mostly just what I myself want to eventually get around to talking about but mKFMDF yeah.

14. Any headcanons on their appearance?

I'm not usually one to hold many headcanons when it comes to something like appearance (or to hold many headcanons, period), but.. uh... idk. something really stupid and small like he has a permanent writer's callus/bump. there just ain't no way he doesn't have one y'know?

I guess to start, I am also 23 lol. we have sorta similar styles of dress. we are both artist-jocks. we have generally similar personalities. we are both DID havers, and one of us is honestly pretty similar to John mFKMDKFDSF. he even has an undercut my god... and then Another one of us also reminds me a lot of the Third Alter/Midokoto/Doe/whatever you wanna call him. his hair is even green wowie! ... oh and his name is also something that can be related to Mikoto, god damn.. the Kayano System is copying us.. get their asses, call them out, cancel them!!! /j anyway. more.

again, not that involved with the fandom so not sure what is and isn't already discussed. frankly I think she should just be discussed more, period <3. so. Everything. a VERY VERY good question that I have wondered about myself! ...unfortunately I've yet to come up with much of an answer though. I really just. have no idea. the only thing I can think of is she may have continued to severely downplay her abuse, I guess (like she still does I think. but you know. like Magic-level downplay)... may have stayed a bit friendlier and more "herself"? maybe her Trial 2 MV would've acted more staged again like Magic was...? the character everyone gets wrong Hmm I wanna say I feel the strongest about this with Maedhros. Maedhros in general I feel like... I always want him to be an angry dude... trauma-induced anger issues despite it all. Fire in his eyes. I get why fandom portrayal tends to lean more towards sadness/fear/anxiety as his trauma response, because I think for a lot of us it's easier to feel sadness and fear than anger, and easier to project onto. But I want him! To be pissed! I also feel this a little with Caranthir... we don't make him enough of a bitch. I know he's in the book less than other people, but he also manages to be rude during every single social interaction he is a part of (and not just awkward! rude!) and I think we sleep on it a little too much. But that's a petty gripe.

which ship fans are the most annoying? I'm gonna take one for the team as a russingon shipper & say that we're probably annoying as fuck to people who don't ship it LMAO... it's just so universal and I'm sure if you don't like it it's gonna be frustrating to be in the fandom. Also for some reason, being attached to Arafinwean!Gil-galad I get annoyed about him as a russingon baby (which, again, is a personal preference thing! i totally get why people like it and i've read excellent fics that have sold me on the concept). That being said I do actually love the ship! outside of that........ some of the takes that have gotten the MOST under my skin I've heard from the angbang & silvergifting sides of fandom. just not a fan of the "the villain was the real victim all along" takes, tbh. I feel like it makes the villains less interesting. i'm being mean to the three most popular ships in the fandom because i think the smaller ships very rarely surface enough to get under my skin lmao

the unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them INDIS I'm so not normal about her she's one of my favorite characters and I get SO annoyed about how people tend to portray her as a homewrecker/feanor's evil stepmom/etc. also i'm in my thingol and orodreth eras i think :)

I do really enjoy the drama of Thingol's court in the era the Arafinweans are visiting, and I feel like that doesn't get written about as much... hm. also i think gil-galad's several thousand year long reign probably had some exciting things happen in it

ok so while im at it i guess i'll just share my thoughts on ff16's story overall since i have a fair share of yays, nays and other abt it. SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT!

the yays:

- the prologue is still a banger no matter how many times u watch it. it was such a solid opening.

- cid's arc is a banger, even tho im sad that he died halfway thru the story but this is final fantasy. your cid can either live or die so that mid could run, or vice versa.

- jill's arc is my favourite. killing your abuser is ok but again, i have a bias with her.

- i like that they give each of the main cast a time to spend with clive in respective arcs.

- kaiju battles. yes i am a sucker for that. i grew up watching tokusatsu so this is nothing new to me. titan fight is my favourite among all, bahamut second.

- clive and jill's slowburn romance is just AUGHENSKSKDKS I FRICKIN LOVE IT. the mutual pining, the slowburn and the payoff just feels... AUGHHHHHH GRAAAAHHHHH SO EFFING GOOD I CANT DESCRIBE IT IN WORDS *eats a brick everytime i see them hold hands, hug or kiss*

- the worldbuilding is also good especially in the sidequests.

- i like how they portrayed dion and terence's relationship. its not everyday u get to see a well written gay relationship that didnt feel fetishized. we need more of this. also they are both childhood pals to lovers so it hits a soft spot on me.

- the side characters are also loveable in their own right!! enough to be in the top 10 even.

- i think im lowkey glad that they decided to go for an all white/white passing cast for the game bcos god some parts of the game is super fucked up esp wrt the bearers and how the ppl of valisthea treated them. i cannot imagine the sheer backlash yoshiP and his team will get if they have a brown/black/asian character in especially if they are bearers/dominants :')

nays:

- i didnt like how benedikta just comes and goes at the same arc. like i really wish we get to know her more or at least, after she went berserk she could at least be saved so that cid could take her in and we get to know her more. GIVE US A DLC, CBU3!!!

- waloed arc to me is my biggest downer. i want to know more abt waloed. i want to know more about barnabas and how did he get influenced by ultima. the part after jill gives away shiva's power to clive at the shadow coast just... drops and until they arrived at drake's spine it just feels... eh to me. kinda like the idyllshire/hinterlands arc in HW (given that ff16 story is written by the same guy who wrote HW in FFXIV, i am not even surprised).

- i understand that they want to make waloed and origin arc the time where clive and joshua finally gets to bond together but damn i wish they didnt just leave out jill like that in the last two arcs. poor girl, let her fight even tho she can no longer use her eikon power anymore.

- i know i have beef with waloed arc but god, odin fight is so underwhelming. no kaiju battle??? i sleep.

- i want to know more abt the rest of the dominants apart from the rosfield bros!! jill's life before she was sent to rosaria, dion in general, kupka's backstory and his relationship with benedikta, cid in general, benedikta again and again, barnabas. hell, i also wanna know more abt leviathan. GIVE US THE DLC OR FIT IN THEIR LORE IN THE ULTIMANIA!!!

- i think most of us agree that the sidequests were better at telling the worldbuilding and character insight more than the msq itself. the msq focused a little too much on clive over how he and the comrades react to the world around them.

- i think we also agree that we need more characters bantering over each other especially the dominants. im sad that dion didnt get to interact with clive and jill more, nor even we get to see the rosaria trio bantering and reminiscing the good times together at the hideaway.

other thoughts:

- i'm very mixed abt the ending tbh. i like the ambiguity and open endedness a la FF tactics but at the same time WTF??? i was high on copium when i first see thru the ending but now that i looked back my brain is just on hopium. im just gonna cling to the subtle hints that were mentioned in the game where they point out clive, dion and joshua SOMEHOW survived.

- i dont get people saying that ff16 didnt feel like final fantasy... like all FFs are different in its own right?? ff15 is like contemporary modern meets fantasy, ff6 is steampunk fantasy, ff4 is fantasy with airship... the settings are different sure but as long as you have crystals being the core part of the story, as well as anime fights with giant monsters and summons plus its own unique FF-schtick its still a final fantasy.

- i also dont get the hate on 16 for being more game of thrones-ish... like this is not the first FF to have gone this route. you have effing FF tactics being the first one to do that. the only difference is how they present it. i personally feel that 16 deserves the M-rating so much bcos of how technological advances gives you more creative freedom on how u want to tell the story. back in the day you could only work with what u have so yasumi matsuno really had to restrict with how he want to write the story for tactics. also his writing inspired the ff16 writing team a lot if u notice. and while this is not the first final fantasy game to get an M-rating (FFO did it first) it is the first mainline to get one.

overall i think the game isnt bad nor is it perfect. it manages to hit the right spot but at the same time i have my fair share of nitpicks. i just hope that it makes enough sales on ps5 and wait for the announcement of a pc release bcos god i would still love to play this game even if i probably suck at action rpg games.

Random hc: I love klavier sm I feel like ive seen every post abt him and don’t have any original thoughts that haven’t been said before but, I hc him as having OCD. This is mostly just based off of our interactions with him during Guitar's Serenade.

Also, I’m aware this is an unpopular opinion but I don’t think he had a crush on Apollo when he first met him! Like I do find that trope fun and silly, but looking at his character Klavier would never fall for someone at first sight, and definitely not someone he’s as suspicious about as Apollo [he accused his brother of Murder]. Klavier is SO So meticulous and need to have all the facts figured out beforehand. I truly believe he needs something to be loud and messy and BAD at to vent with because he tries SO hard to keep everything under wraps at all times. Get the man a buncha brightly colored paints he can go ham w!!! Let him blast music in his lonely studio apartment and head bang and belt songs and dance badly where no one can see!!! Let him learn to take up space authentically in his own damn house!!

General opinion overall: He is SO charismatic and blorbo-able! He seems carefree but is Not in any sense of the word. He makes you think he wears his heart on his sleeve but it is hidden under SO many layers, getting him to trust you is going to be SO much work. He puts EVERYTHING he’s got into his passions and by god he’s gotta make sure he’s got everything Just Right. He’s such a layered character and its hard to pick out his thoughts, also they created a character who is just SO interesting when you pair him with literally any character. Like he and apollo are such opposites how would they function together? What the hell was the Gavin brother’s relationship Actually like? I think abt this all the time. Also like, him and Wright actually became more similar characters due to his disbarment, but also That past affects his relationship with Ema too! Also how the hell did he cope (did he cope???) with the personal betrayals he suffered in AJ?? Also what’s his relationship with the other prosecutors in the office???? Does he have offscreen friends or did he really lose everyone? I am unable to be succinct over Klavier but it boils down to:

He has the range! He acts silly and carefree but is so NOT! Which gives you so much to explore
