"They beat me with electrical cords, starved me, and told me I was full of demons," you tell him flatly, "And they were supposed to love me. What do you think they would do to some random kid?"

Kurt stepped closer behind you and rubbed your upper arms, reminding you he was there. He'd offered to do this for you. To let you rest. To let you try and calm your mind.

"Y/N I understand-"

"Do you?" You ask, "They told everyone I was dead. And even today they still called me a witch."

"And other things," Kurt added, mouth twisting in disgust. A slut. A whore. Degrading you in public. And for what? Having the gaul to get ice cream? How did they know what happened in your bed room? And why did they care?

Charles looked from you to Kurt and nodded. Seeing the events of the day through Kurt's eyes instead. "We'll monitor the situation," he compromised.

"And I'd expect protestors. Probably unarmed. But they'll make a hell of a racket. And whip up a mess- they have a specific play book."

"One you know well?" Charles asked.

"Unless they've changed but- the church elders aren't going to let go until they die off and they won't change anything until they have to."

"Then I think we're well situated to handle it," he said.

"Charles," Kurt protested, "It's not-"

"We will protect her," Charles said, remembering the little girl who'd tripped her way out of the woods so many years before. With nothing but scraps of eavesdropped information and change from the couch cushions to get her this far from home.

I'll be real... I don't know. All his exes are flat skinny girls... KIDDING! Hayden is an ass man! He's not one to objectify, but he can appreciate a nice ass when he sees one. Haha, this is all because I drew the panel bellow a little too nice and instead of redrawing it decided "Well, It's Morph's interpretation of Kurt" 😂 (I do also blame looking at Nightwing pictures for reference)

To further justify it just because I can! - from Morph's perspective they've been used and abused for so long that it's a shock to meet someone like Kurt. Someone who tells them they matter, who fights and takes risks for them without asking for anything in return. They sees him as a hero, which also slightly affects their interpretation of him to be more heroic - like a more upright posture, flowing hair and more muscles - posterior ones included ;)

i finished reading krakoa era and comic cherik are amazing SO i wanted to ask do you have any favorite issues/series i still don't really remember how to call it where cherik are also cool?? some iconis comic moments with them maybe??

im FARRR from finishing all of krakoa (ive probably barely even made a dent in this series), though i do think following the HoX + PoX issues themselves are great if we're talkin cherik-focused issues/books. i already said one of my fave aspects of cherik is their moments working together, so having a whole Omnibus dedicated to them Working Together and trusting each other (bonus points for Protective Erik with the Something Sinister bit) is already guaranteeing a sure spot in my Faves collection

one of my fave cool moments i've read so far- which is a moment i wager a lot of people can agree is Sick As Hell Visually if i may be so daring- is ABSOLUTELY this sequence from Inferno #4

any time erik and charles get to do some bamf shit together it is IMMEDIATELY peak to me this cannot be disputed and i'd be lying if i didn't say i bought this run solely for this moment here (ignore the fact they fumble this fight horribly that dont matter they looked cool as hell for five seconds !!!!!!!!!!!)

i can't wait to read more and find even more moments i love and want to tape to my eyelids <3 !!

Kurt found you in the garden, sitting on the ground and coaxing deer to eat from your hands. They came with no fear, as if tamed. But Kurt knew better. You'd used your gift to call them and now you were feeding them.

It made you feel better. He'd seen you feed bears, boars, and, he reflected with a smirk, Wolverine- though he wasn't an animal. The image of the grumpy old man accepting snacks from you still tickled him.

"Sweetheart?"

"I'm okay," you answer, stroking the deer and letting them go. "Just- I wasn't expecting to see them."

He nodded and took a seat behind you and wrapped himself around you, hiding his face in the crook of your neck, "Is that why you've been avoiding me, bunny?"

"I just didn't feel like I should subject people to me right now," you sigh leaning back into him. Not able to resist the familiarity of being caged in by his long slender limbs. Or the slight ticklish feeling of his fur against your skin.

He tutted, scolding you wordlessly and tilted your chin up with his tail so he didn't need to let you go. Lips finding yours tenderly. He couldn't find the words he wanted in any language to tell you what he wanted to say. He KNEW how deep the wounds went. He'd seen them laid bare and kissed every scar until he knew them as well as he knew his own.

The words they called you. The names. They'd torn so many of those wounds open anew. And the guilt was eating at you. Guilt you didn't have to feel. That you shouldn't feel. Not with him or anyone. Your love was given and received freely. And so far as Kurt was concerned, no vows had been said in a church but the promises were made. From the moment he asked you if you were sure and taking his hand,, looking up at him with eyes so trusting he thought his heart would break, you said "Yes, I love you."

Salt hits his tongue but he doesn't pull away. Because you don't. You only wiggle enough to get loose and stroke his hair. And It's all the encouragement Kurt needs. If his Bunny needs him this way for now, then so be it. As long as she comes home.
