She, The Fallen Angel

In the iron grip of an empty love,

A throne of thorns was built for me.

They called me a monster, an angel unworthy,

While cheering the shadow that held the key.

Their voice thundered, a voracious storm,

Raising castles of guilt and despair.

I, a shattered mirror, lost all my form,

On the stage of a circus that always ensnared.

Beneath the crown of imposed disgrace,

I bore the weight of their relentless chains.

With every breath, their fiery gaze

Saw failure where love once remained.

“You’re hideous!” they cried, as though my frame

Could shoulder the burden of all the dark.

But their hands, with lies and reins aflame,

Extinguished the light, leaving no spark.

And I, a fallen angel, not for sin,

But for betrayal by those meant to be

My shelter in the night’s cruel spin,

Became the scapegoat for heaven’s decree.

Now I rise from the ashes of blame,

With tattered wings, but a beating core.

For even in depths of unyielding pain,

Freedom’s song endures forevermore.
