Nesta, holding a head of cauliflower in front of Feyre's face: What is this?
Feyre: ... Cauliflower?
Nesta to Cassian: Now tell her what you think it is.
Cassian: ....
Cassian, folding his arms: Ghost broccoli.

i think that even if feyre and rhysand hadn’t been mates he still would’ve “stolen” feyre from tamlin, not because she’s feyre, but because he’s so obsessed with tamlin that he’d do it out of pure spite

The Three Sisters
I try more and more to draw fanarts, and it's starting with books I really enjoy.
A Court of Thorn and Roses is clearly my guilty pleasure, and it's been a long time I wanted to draw the 3 sisters together, like the Three Fates in Greek Mythology.
Drawing Feyre tattoos was a challenge honestly.

I will never forgive the way most of Feyre’s own stans romanticise her biggest trauma, I don’t even like Feyre that much but I promise you if Feyre were real & she met a lot of you she would be sick to her stomach about the way y’all have been romanticising her abuse & trauma from UTM, the way Feyre explicitly describes how she felt when Rhysand dressed her & made her dance etc & now you all sit there & do heart eyes about it! Absolutely disgusting! She would HATE a high majority of you if not ALL OF YOU.
No matter how she feels about it now, how she felt about it all back then was very much real & very much horrifying & traumatising, the way Rhysand made her feel back then was very much traumatising & yes he did abuse her, so stop & shut the fuck up with saying that he didn’t.

I feel like the High Fae in acotar should’ve looked a little weirder (limbs too long/too thin, eyes too bright, facial features too sharp/perfect etc).
And the high fae are so convinced that everyone wants them when in reality, nobody really does. When Human Feyre falls in love with Tamlin, all her ‘lesser’ fae friends are like “Girl… for real?”
And when the Archeron sisters are all turned into fae, they retain some intrinsic humanity to their appearance. So they’re just the right balance of Human and High Fae.
Feyre still finds herself getting unsettled looking at the high fae too long. when she talks to other fae, to her, they’re human in a way.
Anyways feyre should’ve been anti-class system and hung out with the other fae groups more. She’s a people person get her out into the community.

“Don’t be afraid,” he spoke to her for the first time. “I won’t hurt you. I’m Tamlin. What’s your name?” Still wary, Feyre regarded him closely before answering, expecting a trap. “Feyre. Feyre Archeron.” “Welcome to the Spring Court, Feyre Archeron.”

"Draw the cat eye, sharp enough to kill a man" - Vigilante Shit by @taylorswift
Day 2 of @nestaarcheronweek : Sharp
When I heard this song, I immediately thought of Nesta. Specifically, thinking I wanted to see Nesta take some kind of revenge on the IC for their shitty treatment of her. Her sharp words were scratches compared to how deep the ic cut her with their actions.
Nesta knows - because she's a smart cookie - that living well is the best revenge tho. I'd def pick the Valkyrie-fam over the ic's secrets, baggage, shaming(?), and deference to Rhys ANY DAY.

I honestly think that the ACOTAR series and it's characters are more complicated than fans give it credit for. Like a lot of fantasy readers in the modern age of booktok and all that shit always seem to crave a morally gray character, but when a character is actually morally gray they sort of...don't acknowledge it?
Because pretty much every single character in that series except for the obvious villains (Amarantha, king of hybern) are morally gray. Including Tamlin.
He's a really interesting case because he has these abusive behaviors, this consistent like Giving Up where he just heeds to his anger and his powers, but his entire driving force is that he doesn't want to be like his cruel, murderous father. Like, his essential action as a character is in direct conflict with his base characteristics, like isn't that so interesting??? But he's always just chalked up to the abusive anger issues ex who doesn't deserve any more chances because he already gave so many up. Like...do people know that even if a character is a Bad Guy, like a real bad guy, not your charming, suave, comedic villain bad guy, but like a guy who's fucked up and broken and mean and sad, can still be a compelling, multi-dimensional character?
And Rhysand. He's a super interesting character because though his intentions all come from the same place of like striving for peace and unity and other virtuous shit like that, he's still willing to overwrite his OWN MORALS if it means working towards getting what he wants--remember when he left a head in Tamlin's garden? I had totally forgotten about that because he never really exhibited any behavior that matched that, but if we think about it it was pointing to this facet of his character where, at least a the start of the series, he was willing to do a lot of fucked up shit for the greater good.
Which is like the definition of a morally gray character. But when comparing the two, often he's just taken as The Better One who can do no wrong and like rose above his role in society and would Never Ever treat Feyre like an object...which...he kind of did? Obviously not to the same level as Tamlin, or in the same way, but like for a lot of the beginning of ACoMaF he was pretty much Also using her as a piece in his personal war effort that he like didn't really fully inform her about for like...kind of a while.
Idk I know I'm rambling, sorry this is so long, but like I could make an entire other post about how FEYRE is ALSO super morally gray and like a lot of the point of her character is that she's like kinda fucked up and does fucked up things and has a lot of healing to do and makes mistakes even when she's still in the active process of like getting better, like the whole essence of her is that she's Not perfect, not that people don't get that, just that it's interesting that people will uphold these characters, her and Rhysand and the whole inner circle, and praise them and love them unconditionally, but when it comes to characters like Tamlin, they are deemed undeserving of a second chance because the bad shit they did was a) done to the main character(s) and b) magnified much more than the protagonists misgivings. Idk it's super early, I'm just rambling, I'm sorry

“Theres forces at play I can’t even begin to tell you about.”
“what? what is there your not telling me?”
“I know you have been dreaming of him. Don’t, do not go looking for him.”
Tumblr media
…I found him
Day 6- Fairytale AU/Dreams- A court of Poppies and Dreams💤
In this au, after rejecting Amarantha Tamlin was cursed to sleep until a kiss from his true love. But how could his true love find him if he was asleep? the cruelty of amaranthas curse…
On a cold winters day, Feyre accidentally kills a fae and is taken by… Lucien, The High Lord of spring? he doesn’t look very springish…
After only a few days there, Feyre starts having strange dreams. Dreams where a blond fae visits her, and asks for her help. He doesn’t remember who he is, but he needs her to find him.
But is that the best idea? Lucien seems hell bent on keeping whoever it is hidden, and he hints theres more trouble to be found if he is found. Things he truly can’t even begin to tell her about. And when the dark lord of night starts threatening her new found friends, feyre gets a taste of the danger. And she wont let them get hurt.
But the curiosity is so strong, and she can’t ignore the pull she feels. She must find him, and she must awake him.
I put so much thought into this au i may have to write it🧍🏻 Once i get a copy of acotar im making a sleeping beauty rewrite (and after my tamlin fixit fix. lots to do) @tamlinweek
This is by far my biggest piece for the week and the one im most proud of :) The inspo hit me really hard and i just let it. A few other details about this AU is that Feyre is older, just because while i like her in the og book i just want the fmcs in fantasy books to be older especially when their falling in love with 500+ year old men. Shes 24 now. I also did just whatever i wanted with her design because i can !!! and maybe, perhaps her and tamlin are actually mates… and maybe thats why she can see him in her dreams? hm? If yall wanna see the whole notes app dump i did on the summary of this au at 11pm while on a trip to vegas ill drop it in the reblogs. Close ups down below!

Thought of the day:
I don’t think it’s ever occurred to anyone that in ACOMAF whenever Feyre would throw her guts up & Tamlin never woke, never stirred, that maybe…just maybe he was suffering from a serious case of sleep paralysis that is triggered by his trauma/PTSD.
Like let’s think about it, Tamlin ever only woke up AFTER Feyre was done throwing up & when he did he would be up & alert, disoriented, looking sweaty & then immediately he would shift into his beast form & he would either go back to sleep in his beast form or stand guard by the door, if you know anything about sleep paralysis then you know that it takes a long while to understand that you’re even awake even after you’ve physically woken up, Tamlin might’ve heard Feyre throwing up but because of him potentially having SP & then waking up to find Feyre in bed again he might not have actually realised it was real.
To me it seems relatively obvious that it was a case of SP (I suffer from it really bad due to trauma & PTSD) so it seems like he might not have wanted to add on to Feyre’s growing trauma by telling her he has it & that’s even if they know what sleep paralysis is in the ACOTAR world.
Just a food for thought.
