Strawberry Rose Scones

1/2 cup non-dairy milk 1/4 cup rose water the zest and juice of one lemon

1 cup dried strawberries

3 cups all-purpose flour 2/3 cup cane sugar 1 tbsp baking powder 1 tsp cardamom

1 cup cold salted vegan butter

Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, rose water, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Stir in the strawberries. Set aside.

In a large glass mixing bowl, sift together the; AP flour, cane sugar, baking powder, and cardamom. Cut the cold butter into the dry ingredients and use your hands to fully incorporate. 

Pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture and stir well, using hands if needed to fully incorporate. 

Using a 1/4 cup measurement, form 18-20 balls. Flatten each ball gently to form discs. 

Place discs on lined cookie sheets. Sprinkle each scone with a touch of cane sugar. 

Place tray in freezer for 15 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Place chilled scones in preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes.

Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Haha what if i turned bombastine into a fruity cocktail. Lemon/ sour but the top is more pleasant and refreshing. Sweet even. But at the bottom its not sweet and its just very sour and bitter. Maybe a hint of salt to bring out the flavors. Bonus points if the bottom part is green and it makes a gradation with the top and served in a fancy af bottle/ cup
