Normally the final warming happens sometime in late April or May. This year the final warming started around March 20."

Tonight MSNBC aired a special, Kids Who Pay, about the privatization of foster care.  Sequel Youth & Family Services set up group homes across the U.S. to make a fortune while warehousing, abusing, mistreating and, in one case murdering a foster child “in their care.”  The video isn’t, as yet, available online.  Sequel’s most recent profit information available showed that the company was over $200 million a year.  Why some states have shut down Sequel facilities there are still a number of states with facilities still operating.  Here’s a link listing where these facilities are located:  https://craft.co/sequel-youth-and-family-services/locations?countryCodes%5B0%5D=US&page=1.

MOUNT PLEASANT, MI — Vandals have once again struck a mid-Michigan historic site that once served as a boarding school where hundreds of Native American children were housed after being taken from their families.

The Mount Pleasant Indian Industrial Boarding School, or MIIBS, is located on 320 acres in northwest Mount Pleasant. The school was in operation from 1893 through 1934 and had an annual enrollment of about 300 students. It was part of the federal Indian boarding school system, which removed American Indian children from their families and culture as part of a forced education and white-culture assimilation initiative that persisted for nearly a century.

I am posting this because more and more problems are arising on Lake Michigan, and the Great Lakes in general. All of them are overfilled with rain water -- more rain and more development mean less places for the water to go.

The regular lakes, as reported, are overfilled in places like MN as well.

It’s not just that the lakes are full, it’s also extreme weather.
