Also, Merida? Dark green on burgundy? Has graphic design not been invented yet? Because somebody's doing all this glyph calligraphy, (and let me guess-- it's women, because we can't very well let boys do anything nice in this garbage culture), and I'm not sure they'd like knowing that the Amaram banner is the one people recognize at a distance as "the one we can't read, so by process of elimination--".

Yeah. Squint your eyeholes at that beaut. I wasn't even going to try and force this into the shape of a white-spine, which I assume is like a boar, but more crab. Not with a trackpad, I'm not.

How are you supposed to tell the difference between khakh and khokh (assuming there is one)? And why is Amaram being written with it anyway? Are glyphpairs some kind of different system, where you have the unpaired gylphs like with the Highprinces' that are just [name] written out (minus the vowels, because who needs those), while with glyphpairs, you've got the Kholins using khokh-linil, which are... the constituent glyphs than got compressed down into Kholin? Or the reverse, where the Kholins picked two glyphs that kinda sounded like their name and had meanings they liked?

I was surprised that, far as I've been able to figure, glyphs are an abjad (aka the "vowels aren't important" system of writing) and not ideograms/pictograms/rudimentary logograms. Because, golly, that sure makes it awful close to being a legitimate system of writing that one could use to communicate all manner of complex and abstract ideas. And we sure wouldn't want that... for... reasons, I guess?

Though, if you stylize an abjad into a pictogram, to the point that you can barely make out the letters, and people probably aren't bothering to read it beyond "Oh, tower-crown, that's the Kholins, look busy", what do you call that?

Album review: “King Of The Mischievous South Vol. 2”

I will preface this by saying I haven’t listened to KOTMS vol 1 and also am not super familiar with Denzel Curry’s stuff in general

I really enjoyed this album!! I thought the production on it was interesting which is always an important aspect to me.

I’m not very familiar with Denzel Curry’s personal style of rap in general but it was overall quite enjoyable for me. I also enjoyed the features on this album! There was a feature on just about every song which I don’t know how I really feel about. Albums that do that.

Let’s see I also liked the structure of it! The into and outro and interludes all helped the the structure and overall narrative of it. Some of the interludes I wish were full songs even. I also thought it was interesting how all the interludes had the Kingpin Skinny Pimp on them (don’t really know much about it but thought it was interesting he was on all of them)

Some favorite tracks are “ULTRA SHXT” which I actually heard before listening to the full album and really enjoyed! And also “BLACK FLAG FREESTYLE” I just loveeee the beat on it (a lot of the beats on this are so earwormy and nice) and both Denzel’s and That Mexican OT’s rapping on it is excellent

Umm I’m really tired so I’m sorry if this review is incoherent.

Angrod wins every bet they have on horse-races for three consecutive months, then enters an incredible losing-streak that nearly ends their thousands-year-old friendship. Maedhros’ puppies grow, though to no very great sizes. Turgon and Elenwë invite Fingon on a weeks-long hunting trip, in the middle of winter, and have quite a fine time freezing. The next spring comes. 

“I will go to speak to the king,” Fingon says, one warm morning, as he buckles the clasps of his loose riding-cloak, “come with me, if you would.” 

Maedhros leans to one side then the other, popping his back loudly. He did not sleep well, tonight; he dreams of some far city, of endless noise, of the smell of dough and colorful wrappers thrown into the sea, of rushing beasts of steel that move underground. “Whatever for? You know he little likes me.” 

Fingon picks up his discarded nightgown and swats him on the ass with it. “That speaks only to his fair judgement. Come, because this matters to me.”
