Book Review…Atonement by J.L. Rothstein To Hell, this world is fractured and faithless, perfectly ripe for the picking. Sent by Heaven, Guardians defend against a malevolent onslaught of demonic intrusion. For hundreds of years the nine siblings of the O’Mara family have been engaged in this merciless battle, fighting to protect the souls of all humanity. Heaven and Hell have been waging this infernal war bound only by the rules of a contentious accord. On the anniversary of her husband Gabriel’s disappearance, Genevieve O’Mara’s lingering sorrow manifests into a murderous rage unfurled upon a demon. Vengeance is coming, not just for Genevieve, but for all those she loves. This was a fun adventure. It's about love and family but it's full of action! I really liked the world and the different creatures. The world is a fantasy world but it felt real and the different creatures were so easy to picture and there are so many of them. From the first page the action begins and it's non-stop there's always something going on. It makes you want to turn the pages faster. It's a fast paced story that you'll have no problem getting lost in! Thank you Insta Book Tours and J.L. BLOG TOUR STOP
Self reflective
Note worthy
Pick up and put down time and time again
What an absolutely joyous read.
I made so many notes, annotations and self discoveries whilst reading this little masterpiece, it’s going to be difficult to squeeze it all into one review.
First of all, this is a genre that I adore! Self-help, reflection and personal growth is the kind of book I always have on the go to keep me grounded and feeling my best, most authentic self.
If you are also more curious about this kind of self discovery and delving into the world of spirituality, this book is the best place to start!
Although I do a fair bit of research and an fascinated by spirituality, my eyes were opened to certain elements I knew nothing about, such as the psyche and self-inflicted limitations
*****/5
Would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a toolkit to work on emotional strength and spiritual growth
How do you develop yourself? What would you like to know more of? Thank you so much to @instabooktours for inviting me to be a part of this tour and providing me with a digital copy of this book

Spirituality, Healing and Me – Ilana Estelle
I love a self-help inspirational educational mash up of a book. They just feel comforting to me, and this book is written in such a nice, easy to read manner. It doesn’t feel preachy at all, which I think a category some books like this can fall into.
I didn’t expect to learn so much about ethical principles, karma, and integrity. I mean when talking about spirituality you do broach on the subject of death and the possibility of life after death which I find so interesting. Loved the quotes throughout and Ilana just seems to have this amazing positive outlook and that comes through in her writing. I want to read everything she writes from now on!
This is definitely one that I will be dipping back into in the future. Thank you to Vic and Ilana for the gifted copy.

••• SPOTLIGHT •••
I recently had the pleasure of reading Spirituality, Healing and Me by @ilana_estelle_author as part of a book tour arranged by @zooloosbooktour.
When I saw @instabooktours have Ilana on tour, I jumped at the chance to do a spotlight post for her as I love her books that much. I absolutely adored this book and felt it took me on a journey I wasn’t expecting. It was so eye opening, so raw and real; it was one of my favourite, reads last year.
I think everyone should give this book a go, you might find out things about yourself just by reading Ilana’s story.
Thank you to the gorgeous @instabooktours for giving me the chance to have spotlight post on this book!

From @fikriah_azharii - "Segala hal yang sering kali diabaikan pada akhirnya akan terasa begitu berharga ketika kita kehilanan." - halaman 57. Day 3 #InstaBookTour #weddingwithconverse karya Inggrid Sonya. Instabooktours Review Highlights
Cerebral Palsy: ‘A Story’ is currently on tour with @instabooktours. I will be posting a few of the tour highlight reviews on my blog.
Katebubsbooks
“I was so excited to read this book as I genuinely know nothing about Cerebral Palsy. Not only was it a beginner’s guide to what the condition actually is, it is also a self-help book about being different, being motivated and celebrating yourself for what you are. It’s astonishing how much mental strength she must have had to do what she has done and to think that she went to 46 without a ‘proper’ diagnosis.
I love that this is a book that you can dip in and out of. It has short chapters and subheadings that wherever you open the book it will be helpful. It is easy to read with heaps of helpful advice.
This book is great, and one that I will no doubt go back to countless times in the future!”
hallowedbooks
“A fascinating read which motivates you and widens your mind at the same time. This book part memoir and part motivational guide is about the author’s journey where from being angry and confused, grows on to become a strong and resilient woman through honing her positive mental/ physical growth and experiences.
Personally I don’t know anyone with cerebral palsy. But being a kindergarten teacher I have come across loads of kids with unique and different ways of handling mental and physical abilities. That being said I have never been able to properly understand a child who’s full of negative family background and deals with mental illness. This book was definitely an eye opener and informative.
The writing style is crisp and easy to understand. I loved reading about Ilana’s childhood. Nobody’s perfect and I believe this book shows how even one’s own family mistakes can take you to higher levels if you’re determined and fight. In this book the author also talks about how to overcome the insecurities, understanding opinions, reflect on the struggles and making differences together. A great read for sure. Highly recommend you to check this one out.”
she_loves_to_read
“As soon as I saw this book being offered by the lovely Vic over at @instabooktours I jumped at the chance to be on the #booktour
Having also had a health condition from birth (something I wasn’t diagnosed with until I was 30) and also being treated very differently to my siblings by others around me. I was really interested to hear Ilana’s story and read of her experiences.
Ilana narrates an eye opening, emotional and above all inspirational story. One that I found myself relating to on so many level. Both practically and mentally. With the added insights into self help, healing, tips on learning to live with ‘disability’, and inspirationally relevant quotes from the likes of Nelson Mandela and Charles Dickens. This latest offering from Ilana is a must read for not only those living with physical and mental health challenges. But for anyone working with, living and supporting those who have continually challenges on this path we call life.
Thank you to both Ilana and Vic for my gifted copy and the chance to read and review this brilliant book.”

“Wow, what an amazing read. I saw this as a book tour on @instabooktours page and really wanted to read it, I was very excited when I got accepted for it.
This was such an eye opening, inspirational and emotional read. Everything this lady has been through. I really loved the addition of the quotes for the likes of Stephen Hawkins about disability.
I didn’t really know much about Cerebral Palsy until this read and I’m so glad I read it.
Thank you @instabooktours and @ilana_estelle_author for this easy star read and the opportunity to join in with this book tour.”

Scotland, 1692. To escape a brutal winter storm, King William's regiments descend on the small village of Glencoe. Caitriona Cameron, the tacksman's daughter, cannot forget her unpleasant encounter the last time English troops appeared. She senses the army's arrival might not be as innocent as it seems, but her warnings go unheeded. Not even MacIain, the MacDonald clan chief, listens. After twelve days of billeting in the villagers' homes, the soldiers attack, committing one of the greatest atrocities in Highland history. Cait escapes the assault with the help of Sergeant Edward Gage who is accused of being a traitor for not taking up arms against the MacDonalds. Edward is hunted by his debauched half-brother, Alexander, who stands to lose everything if King William attaints their father for his treasonous past deeds. With bad blood between them, Alexander sets out to capture Edward to prove his loyalty and save himself from ruin. Cait and Edward travel to Edinburgh to confront the men they suspect are behind the attack, unaware that Alexander is headed there as well. Although Cait is convinced the chief of Clan Campbell is responsible, Edward suspects something much more sinister—that the orders came from higher up, possibly even from the king himself. As accusations of betrayal, deceit, and treason abound, they are all trapped in a web of intrigue and danger, but not everyone will escape. The Tackman's Daughter By Donna Scott Release Date 1/3/22 I absolutely loved this book! I sat down to read it and the next thing I knew I was done! Book Tour Reviews - 1
Spirituality, Healing and Me
‘Book Tour Reviews’
I am currently doing a ‘book tour review tour’ for ‘Spirituality, Healing and Me’ to celebrate the launch of the book in the USA on the 1st May, 2022. If you’re interested in buying a copy, I would be grateful for your support.
banksyyy_books
First of all, thank you so much to @ilana_estelle_author for the proof copy and @instabooktours for organising this book tour!
I often find it very difficult to rate non-fiction, therefore I will discuss which aspects of this book I enjoyed more than others.
I believe that spirituality is about “what makes me me”. As a trainer in the mental health industry, I often discuss the importance of attitudes, beliefs and values in shaping our actions and experiences. It was so great to see this mirrored in the pages of Ilana’s book. I admire Ilana’s ability to remain positive in spite of all the hardships she has encountered in her life, and as such, I was inspired.
I loved that Ilana brought elements of Psychology into the mix. After finishing my Psychology BSc in 2017, I continue to enjoy reading about the subject I have been so passionate about for many years. Ilana incorporates mindfulness, which is something I try to practice whenever I can.
If I had this book in physical format, I have no doubt that I would have tabbed the parts that resonated with me most strongly, so that I could refer back to these when I need a change of perspective. Therefore, if you do check out this book, my advice would be to purchase it in paperback – available as of yesterday (happy publication day for yesterday @ilana_estelle_author )
One thing I would have loved to see more of would have been more context from Ilana’s life. However, I’m sure this just means I need to check out her other novel, A Cerebral Palsy Story, which I know was loved by many, including the lovely @whatslottiereading
alice.in.story.land
What an eye opening book!
As someone who is already very spiritual this book really spoke to me from the very first page.
I won’t lie I have been having a really tough time recently and my spiritual journey has taken a massive back seat and after reading this I have realised that was the wrong thing for me to do.
This book teaches us how to live a spiritual life and how it can be used to help not only you but others too.
It tells you about selflessness and humility, karma (the real meaning), why integrity is so important.
This is by no means a religious book and it is not pushy in any way. If you are unsure if you are spiritual this is definitely the book for you to help you with your journey.
Thank you to @instabooktours for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review. I will definitely be recommending this to my circle (spiritual group)
If you’re interested, I would be grateful for the support. If you fancy grabbing your copy so charities may benefit, please go to the following link https://linktr.ee/Ilana_Estelle

More Spirituality, Healing and Me Reviews
More reviews for ‘Spirituality, Healing and Me’ as part of the @Instabooktours to help celebrate my recent publication of the book in the States on the 1st May, 2022. Below is a couple more Reviews.

Spirituality, healing and me
This is definitely worth a read wherever you are on your spiritual journey.
About the book: Ilana Estelle grew up not knowing she had a disability; it took forty-six years for her to find out that she was living with cerebral palsy. Spirituality has helped Ilana on her journey and in this book she uses her experience of mental and physical disability in the healing process, to create positivity and healing for others.
Based on her own experiences of spirituality and healing, she shows how focusing on values such as understanding, compassion, tolerance, creativity and acceptance can help us find our inner calm.
The title of this book alone resonated with me so hard as one of the most beautiful things to come out of my MS diagnosis, was my connection to my spiritual side. I became a Reiki practitioner; I joined a women’s circle which is heavily focussed on spirituality, and I guess you could say it helped me make sense of what had happened to me. In fact, it was reading Rebecca Campbell’s Light is the New Black that helped me to realise that it had happened for me – not to me.
Anyway, total digression! Ilana’s book is great wherever you’re at in your spiritual journey. It’s not religious or preachy and it guides you through spirituality in such a simple and gentle way yet somehow covers off everything. Broken down into chapters that help you to take it step by step. It offers up guidance for spirituality as a means to heal whatever healing looks like to you. It’s certainly not aimed at people with serious conditions like cerebral palsy or MS alone. Anyone can benefit and it explains why anyone can be spiritual simply by being.
This is a book that I think I’ll buy a physical copy of as I want to be able to dip in and out of it in the future. It’s been a much-needed reminder for me as I haven’t been taking as much care of that side of me for the last couple of months.

Review
Having taken a keen interest in spirituality in recent months I was so excited to be accepted onto this book tour. Ilana writes beautifully about spirituality and healing and how these practices have helped her. In turn she helps the reader see how we can help ourselves. It isn’t pushy or anything like that it just enlightens you about what is out there.
I really like how the book was laid out as it gave you information in helpful chunks rather than lots of information overwhelming your mind with no structure.
If you want to boost your confidence, become self-aware or just improve your wellbeing then this is the book for you.
All book proceeds are going to charity, so if you fancy grabbing your copy, so charities can benefit, please go to the following link https://linktr.ee/Ilana_Estelle

More Instabooktours’ Reviews
Reviews not only help to advertise, they give an insight for new potential readers of what other readers think about the book, thereby giving you a reason to buy or not to buy the book.
The UK did Brexit, like the world it is also in Covid-19, which has made it has been even more difficult for me to get myself out there, so I rely on potential readers and reviews for me to be able to do that.
As part of my recent tour for Cerebral Palsy: ‘A Story’ with the lovely Instabooktours, below are a couple more reviews. I hope they will give you reason to buy ‘my book’ as Covid-19 continues to affect mental health.
Bookwormblogss
This is the incredible story of Ilana Estelle.
Born the second of premature twins, an hour apart, from a young age Ilana knew she was different, but for all the wrong reasons. A child of the 60s, Ilana experienced first-hand the way that disability was, at the time, so often brushed under the carpet, not spoken about. Her constant physical and mental struggles made her feel isolated, alone, frustrated, and misunderstood. It took 46 years for her to find out why.
Part memoir, part motivational guide, Cerebral Palsy: My story is Ilana’s open and honest journey from an angry, confused child, knowing something was wrong, not knowing what was wrong, what her disability was, or that there was a diagnosis – to the ‘real’ her – a courageous woman using her experiences and lessons to create inspiring messages about mental and physical health, resilience, and change.
MY THOUGHTS
I didn’t know what to expect from this book having no experience with any sorts of disabilities or knowing anything about cerebral palsy, but this was a really eye opening read.
It’s really emotional in parts and I can’t imagine how a child can go through what Ilana did, clearly, it’s made her a very strong person and that shines through in this inspiring book.
It’s very easy to read with short chapters and clear headings. Anyone can take something from this book with its messages about positive thinking and mindfulness.
Thank you to Ilana and Vic for having me on the tour and for the copy of this fabulous book.

An open and honest read which is guaranteed to touch your heart! ♥️ A true story of a woman who wasn’t diagnosed with cerebral palsy until her late 40s. She explains how different her childhood was not being able to do things like all the children and being in pain, yet not knowing why. It’s truly heart-breaking to read what she went through. Life is difficult as it is being child, having the frustrations of learning and growing up never mind adding an undiagnosed disability to the mix.
Not only is the book a story into the authors life but also a motivational guide to help others. Help others find a balance in life, with a dive into self-discovery.
Ilana is a strong, courageous, and inspirational woman. She hasn’t let her tough past define her and I’m in awe of her.
This book was read as part of @instabooktours book tour
