It is rare for James to look ar Elizabeth and not feel himself fall in love with her all over again. Her golden hair frames her features, looking like she’d jumped out of a painting just to grace him with her presence. But it is not her dainty appearance that causes this in him, but the woman she is on the inside.

It is her strength and determination that calls to him. The fact that he knows if he were to challenge her she would either match him in skill or best him all together. He adores her true self, that wildness and dismissal of anything that gets in her way. She is a force to be reckoned with, and James is her dutiful follower.

His fingers trace her jawline, her skin soft and enchanting. Her lips press against his own and his heart bursts into flames inside his chest. Her passion engulfs him, and he happily allows her.

James was a man that was always full of confidence in nearly every aspect of his life, all except for one. The brave and determined demeanour that he displayed when serving as Commodore seemed to have vanished into thin air while he was on an outing with Elizabeth.

They had been courting for a while now, and this outing was neither their first or their last, but James still felt the cold grip of insecurity in his chest. Was Elizabeth enjoying herself? Did she find him too boring? Had he picked a nice spot for a sunset stroll?

Elizabeth, who had been linked to his arm as they had walked, had let go and walked a little closer to the shoreline to inspect some seashells. James patiently waited for her, trying to take advantage of the fresh air to calm himself.

She quickly returned, her lips curled into that pleased smile that made his heart skip a beat. James offered his arm once more, but in quick motion, and before James could realize what she was doing, Elizabeth took hold of his hand instead of his elbow. They stared at each other for an awkward moment, gazes interlocked in silent questioning, Elizabeth asking if this was alright and James simply processing the simple action.

It was undeniably pleasant, and James got past his surprise and closed his fingers around hers, accepting this small step with a nod. They continued walking now, hand in hand. Her touch calmed him, the warmth and gentleness of it something he could and wanted to get used to.

Where can you find me, now that half of my blogs are on semi-hiatus:

thecharmingknightemma, my main blog, I follow back from it, and it's the most open to interactions even if still selective/mutuals only, because between Emma's personality and the about pages I've written for crossovers she's just very easy to write with multiple people AND I'm interested in way more types of plots and relationships (again, it's due to her personality: I'm character-driven and she works with most plots, and the types of relationships I like that she can pull off by being so cheery and open and messed up are just so many)

imnxtsorry: Elizabeth Swann canon divergent blog, I follow back from mainforimnxtsorry if I think our muses can click. Exactly like with Emma and with all my blogs it's a case of 'it's not you, it's me' if I don't follow back, simply because there is a limited amount of plots I can pull off with Elizabeth due to her personality, and I won't force her to go out of character (relatively to how I write her) so with some people, even if they are amazing, Elizabeth would be like "hi" "hi" "how are you" "good, you?" "good" "okay" so I'm only cautiously open to characters outside of potc (but not closed either)

lurkingxmurmur: oc Lorelei. I follow back from mainforlurkingxmurmur. Exactly like with the others, it's not a given I'll roleplay with you if we roleplay on Emma, she's a particular muse who has to be set in historical/fantasy contexts and I'm still not sure of who she'd be realistically willing to interact with and with whom, in threads, she'd be disinterested and not find anything to say. So she's more open than Elizabeth but not as open as Emma.

imagesbyele: the blog where I share icons, post themes, manips etc. sometimes I’ll do things under request. Consider buying me a coffee when I do, from the link on my pinned post! I say, because in Italy it’s illegal to be paid for a service if I don’t declare myself an independent professionist and pay a hell lot of taxes.

why did I not make my sideblogs main blogs if I was going to make them mutuals only anyway? Because my laptop is dying and I can't keep several pages open like that, but I can open my 'fake mains' every now and then to follow people back and then close them. 

so, to SUM THINGS UP: Emma is the easiest to write with people, each blog has rules and an about you should read (if you are like: “I don’t like reading much” I’m not the rper for you anyway), I’m driven by muses’ personalities and relationships I like so I could rp with someone on one blog and not the others and it’s not about YOU not being awesome. I am relatively slower than in the past and as always selectie with threads because life is super busy right now.

okay I honestly don't know how to write this without coming off as someone who is vagueing, but I also have to reinforce my rules for my own comfort, so let me say I'm not angry, I'm not judging, but I'm an anxious person with an extreme sense of guilt and who wants to avoid confrontation when possible so while some things may have been okay in the past, due to piling up of behaviors that can accidentally make me anxious I have to bring up new rules/old ones. Most of my rules aren't even to be memorized religiously, they are things you need to know before following (for example: characters I'm not interested in) and before you ask: yes, I do re-check if someone I never wrote with before is a mutual before I try anything, I even re-read the rules.

so what do I want to say?  1) I only roleplay with MUTUALS. If you interact ic or push for a follow back and I was considering following you before now that feeling is gone. I'm not willing to risk random anxiety over my hobby by giving a chance to people who ignored my most basic rule. 2) don't keep following and unfollowing me. I promise you I checked your blog as soon as I could. If I don't follow, it says nothing about how good you are. You could play the most incredible canon muse and I could still not be able to imagine any interaction that would be interesting for me. 3) Don't ask me to check out your other blogs anymore, doesn't matter if we don't know each other or are mutuals in others, if you have links to them/promos I already checked them. Due to recent developments and my over-guilt, it becomes stressful because how do I say no? I am very selective, I follow characters I know or with an about page and threads that make me think I can get very into a relationship between them and my muse, I have to be like 'I so want to write this plot specifically about our two characters to see how it works for them'. It's never just about 'I want to write this plot for my character and every other muse will work'. Basically: let my following you or not following speak for itself. (note: these only apply to ME, I’m not saying you can’t ask other rpers to check out your blogs) 4) If you have a sideblog and can't follow me and don't know how to let me (or other rpers) know you are here: may I suggest doing what I do with my many sideblogs? Make promos and reblog them often or, to reach people who won't be able to see them in your blog, make a new blog just to follow people and redirect them to your sideblog. For example thecharmingknightemma has a sideblog imnxtsorry, and I made a different blog imnxtsorrymain just to follow new people, which then I'll rp with from here. Up to you if you want to take the extra step, but if not you should focus more on less selective/non mutuals only blogs. 5) following a rper who has sideblogs or a multi doesn't mean I'm signing up to write with all their muses, it could be a few, it could be just one, it may become more later on. I won't ever bother anyone to make them write the muse I want with me, if you don't feel like writing the muse I followed you for that's completely fine, but don't expect me to automatically write with the ones you are inspired to write. It's not about using you, it's about me choosing who I rp with just like I do with single blogs. Example: I followed a multi who asked people to only start new threads with their female muses because they were ignored, but I followed them because interested in ONE of their male muses (not all their male muses, one). Result: not only I didn't rp with their female muses, but I also didn't rp with their male muses, INCLUDING THE ONE I FOLLOWED THEM FOR because I felt too self-conscious and worried they'd be angry I tried to interact only with them. Others can happily write with anyone whenever they want, I'm not that lucky.

and you can see why I have trouble keeping my rule page short, when I need to write all of this.

Just going to add that you can check posts i wrote each day if you are from a very different time zone, and that I'm either here on thecharmingknightemma or imnxtsorry or even better for interactions lurkingxmurmur (during the day it's especially easy to plot there) and while normally I do ask people to plot and try to interact a lot right now I'm half destroyed (physically only) so please don't think it's out of lack of interest and feel free to reach out with memes and starter calls!

Okay the day got extra stressful at grandpa again so I'm going to ask old and new followers to be super patient if i take a while to reply or I'm selectively fast, depends on how tired I am, and to jump on memes/starter calls when I make them until I'll be able to plot more again (sometimes i have a few minutes to comment on things but plotting with someone new requires more time and ability to focus)
