Save one life, save the whole world

My name is Muhammad Ibrahim. I work as a high school teacher. I am a strong father from Gaza. I have three princesses from my children. I mentioned that I am strong because I try to provide happiness and protection for my family in the midst of sadness and death, and I am looking to shed light in the darkness. I am strong. I do not want to show weakness to my children, but to be honest I have no idea how strong I can pretend to be. I'm not strong. I'm sad, broken, devastated, and terrified at the thought of losing someone in my family.

Since the first hour of October, we have been displaced 6 times. It is a terrifying thing. When you see the planes dropping leaflets on us asking us to evacuate the area, you are asked to evacuate within a specific time. At this time, you are unable to think about what you want to do, and where we will go. While preparing the necessary bags, shells and missiles are raining down on us. Bullets from airplanes. At this moment, you can only escape and save your life and the lives of your children

After more than 300 days of resisting the heinous genocide, my family and I are working to support ourselves through community relief and mutual assistance efforts that stopped three months ago due to the occupation taking control and occupying the city of Rafah.

With the constant risk of death due to malnutrition, dehydration and pollution, diseases are increasing day by day. Like all residents of Gaza, we depend on donations to purchase the goods and services necessary to keep us alive, heal and recover.

Let me tell you about living in the camp, it is like a prison, and even worse, there is no fresh air to breathe, no clean water for daily use and of course to drink, no electricity and no healthy food, only infectious diseases, skin rashes, insects and scorpions.

There is no privacy as the tents are close together, and no quiet, only shelters between you and your neighbors. I stand in long lines under the hot sun for water, for bread, for hospice (food distributed to the displaced in the camp) and even for bathrooms. Public.

More than 300 days of targeted attacks and genocidal tactics have deliberately destroyed life's infrastructure: energy sources, desalination plants, bakeries, factories, hospitals, schools, sewage systems, roads, farmland, homes, my home, and my workplace. Everything has already become a terrifying ghost town

The Gaza Strip has become an uninhabitable biological zone, due to tens of thousands of decaying martyrs who are still crushed under the rubble. The beach is full of sewage and pollution, the health care system has been destroyed, and facilities and agricultural lands have been bombed. We are in a miserable situation, with the outbreak of hepatitis. Polio and other diseases, famine, pollution and constant bombing

My three children, my wife, my mother, and my father need care, and because I am the only person in the family who goes to get water and food, which is considered a huge burden on me, especially since there is no safe place there. I have always been exposed to the risk of death due to sudden bombing and miraculously survived. Therefore, my family and I want to leave Gaza. So that I can protect my children and save our lives, as they need to study, health care, and start a decent life. They have the right to live like all the children of this world, so I want your help in donating so that I can help my family. She sat next to the stove, carefully placing the wood and watching the burning fire, her tears falling silently down her cheeks

The dream that filled her heart with happiness gradually began to fade, to be replaced by fear and sadness. My child was trying hard to hold on to a glimmer of hope, but she was aware that the war was robbing her of her childhood and dreams. With every piece of wood she put in the fire, she felt more heaviness in her heart. She wished that life would return to normal, if only for a moment, so that she could live as children live in other parts of the world, far from the sound of cannons and the pain of separation. Every time I hear the sound of an explosion, I know that an entire neighborhood has ended, and that innocent souls have ascended to heaven. Gaza, a city that was once thriving with life, has turned into a scene of destruction and death. In a painful scene, you see the houses turned into rubble, and the streets that were once bustling with life have become empty except for the remains of memories and the blood of the martyrs. Children who are not more than ten years old carry on their shoulders responsibilities greater than their years, searching among the rubble for their families and their destroyed dreams. I saw with my own eyes the torn bodies of martyrs, men and women, the elderly and children, who had committed no sin except that they were born in this place. Their faces told a story of pain, agony, and separation. Some of them were holding their children,It is as if they were trying to protect them until the last minute. However, in the midst of this devastation, you find eyes that still hold hope and a strong will to survive and persevere. You see young people rushing to help, saving what can be saved, and working hard to provide a helping hand to those who remain. Gaza, despite everything it is suffering, is still resisting. The people here know that life will not return to what it was, but they are determined to stay and persevere, to be witnesses to injustice, and to show the entire world that Gaza will not surrender. We, as journalists, must document these moments, not only to tell stories of destruction, but to convey to the world the truth of what is happening, and to make Gaza's voice reaches every corner of the world.

We lost our beautiful home with everything in it, and we no longer have a tent, where sadness embraces my children, in the small tent that is not suitable for animals to live in, sand, a burning sun, widespread diseases, and an environment that is not suitable for living.

Every day, we wake up The sound of bombing and hunger tearing their insides apart,

My children go to collect firewood from the remains of destroyed homes, to try to light a small fire to cook what food they have left. They did not know the taste of fruit for 10 months, and it became a piece of banana, apple, and...Potatoes and chocolate are a pipe dream. While my daughter was sitting in front of the fire, trying to cook some leftover rice next to me, her brother approached her and asked innocently: “When are we going to eat?” She answered him with teary eyes: “Soon, brother, soon.”

This is not a child's life, but it is a reality. In this darkness, they wish for a little food, warmth, and safety.
