Revelations?

Has the fandom discussed at all whether, at this point, Elizabeth knows the truth about Sebastian?

It struck me as I was reading through this part of the manga last night, how her level of rage at him is so much more than I would've expected from someone who is simply preventing access to her true fiance' and the mechanisms needed to keep him alive. She seems seething-no, boiling over with deep-seated hatred for the butler to me. Is she not more than guarding that door? Doesn't she seem to want to at least wound if not actually kill him?

And this is the kind of thing Toboso-san does so well. Do we agree that Elizabeth's fury as it is drawn here can be no accidental slip of the pen?

So I'm curious, what others think about this. What do we think is going through her mind in these scenes? Do we believe she's been told some nonsense to whip up her emotions so she'll be a good guardian? Has she been told of Sebastian's true nature? Does she know of his part in R!Ciel's death? Is she going to go home now and tell her brother and the rest of the Midford clan the truth about the butler and the twins? or some cock-and-bull story fed her by Blavat or one of the stars (and by the way what's happened to him? Did he fall down an inconvenient badger sett, never to be seen again or what?) We know a little of what she talked about with her brother on that ride home and yes, her biggest concern was her realisation of how shallow and misguided her previous feelings for Ciel had been, but what else did she learn and talk about in that brief interlude between homecoming and running away again? some folk I specially invite to perhaps answer: @abybweisse, @earlgreyandco, @oya-oya-okay, @kuroshitsuji-girls , @dorkshitsuji, @k-s-morgan, and anyone else still active and commenting.

I mean—it stems from the kuro blog chess idea.

I suppose if a blog is particularly sticky-outy/popular, I take note of what they’d have a title for.

Like, @anawkwardlady and @nullb1rdbones would be the knights of the board for they both impact the Alois (and Claude) community greatly—in their own respective rights (conceptually, therefore anointed two of the hierarchal pieces—Nana with her Weston AU and scenario posts, and Null with their fanfictions, art and S2 rewrite). Hence the “Dame” title for Nana (Null can choose what they deem most fitting for themselves).

I’ve already got the queen worked out (we all know who that is, and due to my recent posting habits, so does she @pain-in-the-butler), and I’ve only speculated the king. (Also worthy to note that art-only blogs don’t register with me—and as amazing as they all are (@/i-n-e-a, @/vapidus-art, etc.) I haven’t added them to the idea. And to that I abide and apologise.)

The hierarchal pieces would be those especially known for concepts or multi-characters pawns would most probably be less-noteworthy blogs in terms of popularity, but still highly prominent in the community.

Pawns would also be assigned to a singular character and perhaps a representative democratically (although it’s just me who’s deciding the roles… sorry, I am such a dictator, I know) or communally elected or merely agreed upon by the communities they are meant to represent.

This is mostly due to the holy-fuck-what amount of Grelle-based blogs there are (especially those with manga-panel profile pictures, like by god, there is a lot), therefore they, as a mostly unspoken but vast community need a president or mayor of sorts.

(Honestly, I’m stuck between @cherumie — who I’ve already called the Grelle Messiah* in the past — and @milfhandholder, they’re both so equally incredible in their own rights. Plus Maia’s written The Whole Being Dead Thing. So… scores, people. Scores. /jk)

As for the UT representative, I can only assume @abybweisse or @imintobones would be a good place holder (although I’m sooner to elect Bones, because the former isn’t just Undertaker-based and therefore would be better suited to a turret or castle or whatever those things are called… as their lengthy analyses on Kuro pieces allow them to travel lengthy paths along the board).

(Plus, if imintobones and cherumie were elected as character representatives, and then Grelltaker was ever hinted or directed to in canon—which it most probably will not, but the idea’s been stuck in my mind ever since I proposed it to bones himself—I just think they should collab or hold hands (/p), or something. As a celebration. The fandom would go wild.)

I’m still stuck on the knaves and other pawns, though. I’d appreciate help on those, thusly.

I feel like I get new sebard headcanons each day haha. Some I haven’t shared yet:

Sebastian can grow facial hair, and he lets it grow on purpose so he and Bard can take turns shaving each other

Bard loves how smooth Sebastian’s skin is and how silky his hair is; Sebastian loves how rough and hairy Bard is

Bard once burned Sebastian with the flamethrower and totally ruined his hair- Frances complimented him

They just wear each other’s clothes without asking

They didn’t speak to each other for a week because Bard said he loved dogs more than cats

Bard actually tried to “teach” Sebastian how to act in bed once, and Sebastian went along with it because he thought it was funny

Oh crap guys I just remembered I haven’t finished the rough draft for a paper that was technically due last Thursday, hope you guys don’t mind the tag.

I was able to get my essay prompt to be that I was going to be writing about what to expect when deciding whether or not to read Kuroshitsuji O.0

This is a high school class (I’m a senior) and the teacher has no idea what this is going into this what have I done someone send help •.•

But anyways as I am going to have to speed finish this while avoiding spoilers and anything too explicit (hopefully) I ask for your aid in what I should remember to note

Especially as I go into some of the major trigger warnings and so forth (this poor English teacher what am I doing to this poor poor man; his class is only about writing papers and such what am I doing to this man in the like, 3 months that I have this class oh god oh no someone send help - for me and him)

Hi, anon! To address the first part of your question, I’ve included a list of blogs that come to mind below. Please note that some of them are multifandom or were more active in the past, and some of them feature NSFW content. However, to the best of my knowledge, none of these blogs promote the adult/minor shipping for which our fandom is notorious, and all of them have quality posts!

They’re not really active in the fandom anymore, but @vermeillerose did godly manga colorings back in the day that are definitely worth a look.

As for blogs you ought to avoid...I don’t think it’s wise to mention specific names here. Sadly, however, there are several unsavory ones floating around the blue hellsite. My advice when you’re trying to assess an unfamiliar blog is as follows:

Search their posts using tags like “sebaciel,” “yaoi,” “kuroshitsuji,” “black butler,” etc. and see what comes up.

Take a few minutes to scroll through their recent posts and see who they reblog from and interact with. You can learn a lot about a person based on who their associates are.

If possible, check out their “likes.” Some fujoshis are sneaky; their dash itself may be squeaky-clean, but they have no qualms about liking art or other fanworks of the cursed OTP.

Blacklist the tags for things you don’t want to see. This isn’t fool-proof (certain gross shippers show little to no regard for proper tagging), but it’s a good first step to help filter out blogs that you want to steer clear of.
