Hello, I am Ahmed, 20 years old, studying computer engineering. I had big dreams and ambitions, but because of the war, I lost everything 💔😭

I was exposed to many dangers 💔

Last January, the occupation ordered us to evacuate our house, and I am the sole breadwinner for my family. We were displaced on foot for a long distance under the showers of bullets and rain. From that day until today, I have been homeless, without shelter, and without work. Our house was demolished, I lost my car, and my university was bombed by the occupation, so I want to complete my studies and education and build my dreams again 🥹😭

Things that were and had suddenly changed:

When cooking oil ran out from the market, we replaced it with ghee as an alternative. So the price of ghee increased ten times. When they hoarded sugar, we started to use vanilla extract instead until sugar ran out from the market.Instant coffee is blocked from entering, and the kind that is available is now very expensive. We turned to fresh coffee instead. They started skimping with fresh coffee and its price increased dramatically. Vegetables are expensive and practically nonexistent. We started to depend on canned food. Now the can of spoilt food, peas, beans, fava beans and chickpeas, is 7 shekels (2$)

My friends, I want to clarify something very important to you, which is that all the campaign money is spent and nothing is left. This post shows you the cost of living in Gaza.

Don't look at how much the campaign has earned, but look at how many people it has spent on and how much life costs in Gaza.

My name is Mohammed Akram, I am a Palestinian mother living with my family, father and brothers: Ahmed, Hamza and Elias, in addition to my family of 15 people. Until last October, I was living a regular and stable life with my father, mother, brothers, immediate family and in-laws

After October 7, my life turned upside down because of the war on Gaza. On the night of October 28, the neighborhood where we lived in Gaza - the neighborhood where my brothers and I grew up and where we started our family - were completely bombed.

Unfortunately, the shelling was heavy, and the snipers were targeting anyone trying to leave their homes. A nearby house was bombed, and our house was severely damaged. We were trapped inside, and me, my father, my mother and my brothers were rescued from under the rubble and broken glass. That night, I witnessed. And my family..

Unimaginable things - from injuries to bloodshed and corpses...

The suffering didn't end there. We fled to the schools of the agency (UN) neighborhood of victory, which was considered a safe area at that time. However, we did not survive the heavy bombardment and constant airstrikes. As the evening approached, shelling intensified in the area, and the smell of gunpowder spread from nearby houses being bombed. We lost our ability to see clearly and had difficulty breathing, so I had to put wet masks on the faces of my child siblings in a desperate attempt to protect them.

Their screams and fear did not stop. I didn't know if we would survive. I grabbed them up close, trying to calm them down, while the sadness crushed my heart. I can't forget the first words of my four-year-old brother Hamza when he started talking about war-related terms such as bombings, rockets and tanks

Goods have become scarce and expensive. My father tried all possible ways to provide something to feed us, from weeds growing in the ground to bread made from animal feed

In the end, we were forced to flee to the south, the supposed safe haven that turned out to be otherwise. Rafah was crowded with displaced people, and we could only find a small tent that lacked the necessities of life. My family suffered from epidemics and skin diseases caused by pollution in the camp. Unfortunately, I have had viral hepatitis due to the shared bathrooms at the camp. And so was my appearance in the disease

After miraculously escaped from death with my family, I realized that there is no safe haven in Gaza. With multiple displacements, we faced the harsh reality of lack of essentials such as water, food and medicine, and the inability to even perform basic activities such as bathing, eating or accessing clean water

We have lost everything: our home, our jobs, our dreams. My biggest concern is Ali, Ahmed and Hamza, their future is uncertain. Where will they live, study and grow up? Gaza offers little hope now, as the fundamentals of life are being destroyed. My future seems, overwhelmed by uncertainty

Today, I ask for your help. I ask for the support of me and my brothers to recover from the shocks of the war we have gone through. To get a new warm home for my family, help my brothers go to school and get a decent education, and help us start our lives again. To live from the beginning again.

I am Abdul Shaer, 30 years old, married for 7 years. I was unable to have children due to an illness and took many treatments to be able to do so, but this is God’s will. My wife and I used to live in our beautiful home with my mother, brother and sister, which is now a pile of rubble.

We were displaced five times during the war and now we no longer own anything. We lost everything we owned because of the war. We are now living in a friend’s tent that is not ours either.

For me, I was a football player, I played goalkeeper, I used to wake up to go to training and matches.

Now wake up to search for food and search for water if we can find it.

So I hope you can help me get out of Gaza and save my family and myself from this disaster. Thank you for reading my story.

My name is Hamdi, and I am reaching out to you from Gaza, a place that has been my home for my entire life. However, for the past nine months, my family and I have been living in constant fear due to the ongoing conflict. Our once peaceful neighborhood has turned into a war zone, and the situation is becoming increasingly dire.

I am not just reaching out for myself, but for my entire family. I have two brothers, three sisters, and our beloved parents who have always worked hard to provide for us. We have faced unimaginable hardships, and the thought of evacuating is daunting, but staying here is no longer an option. We urgently need to find a safe haven where we can rebuild our lives away from the violence and chaos.

We have exhausted all our resources and now we are turning to you, our global community, for help. Your support can make a significant difference in our lives. We are aiming to raise enough funds to cover the costs of our evacuation and resettlement. This includes transportation, temporary shelter, basic necessities, and initial living expenses until we can find stable employment and regain our footing.

Today is the first day of Eid Al-Adha I cannot believe that we cannot provide the basic necessities of life. My child is crying, saying, “Mama, I want to eat meat and chicken.” There is no meat, no chicken, no fruit, no biscuits or chocolate, no clean water and no electricity. On the first day of Eid, I also cried, saying, “I want to eat something clean and delicious.” I'm tired of eating junk food What an unjust life and what a damned occupier He displaced us and starved us I want my home and the old days 😭
