I am addressing you because of my urgent need for help to provide a humane life for me and my family after the destruction of our home and the lives of my family. Everything disappeared. We are out in the open. There is no home for us. I humbly ask you to help me I lost my close friends. I lost people in my family. Our house has been destroyed and there is no safe place to live.

‏Unfortunately, our home was bombed and destroyed during the initial events, causing severe psychological and physical damage to me and my family due to the catastrophic situation we are currently living in. My family and I are suffering from severe shortages of food, supplies and medical equipment, in addition to high prices that make it difficult to meet our basic needs. We cannot even access clean drinking water. The loss of our homeland has exacerbated our suffering, and our daily life has become a constant struggle for survival. The urgent need to leave Gaza

Given the current deteriorating situation, it is imperative for me and my family to leave Gaza as soon as possible once the Rafah border crossing with Egypt opens. I hope it will open soon, and we need to raise the necessary funds quickly to ensure our safe passage. The cost of exiting Gaza through the Rafah crossing is approximately $5,000 per person.

My name is Hamdi, and I am reaching out to you from Gaza, a place that has been my home for my entire life. However, for the past nine months, my family and I have been living in constant fear due to the ongoing conflict. Our once peaceful neighborhood has turned into a war zone, and the situation is becoming increasingly dire.

I am not just reaching out for myself, but for my entire family. I have two brothers, three sisters, and our beloved parents who have always worked hard to provide for us. We have faced unimaginable hardships, and the thought of evacuating is daunting, but staying here is no longer an option. We urgently need to find a safe haven where we can rebuild our lives away from the violence and chaos.

We have exhausted all our resources and now we are turning to you, our global community, for help. Your support can make a significant difference in our lives. We are aiming to raise enough funds to cover the costs of our evacuation and resettlement. This includes transportation, temporary shelter, basic necessities, and initial living expenses until we can find stable employment and regain our footing.

I am Hamdi Al-Shaltawi from Gaza City. I am addressing you because of my urgent need for help to provide a humane life for me and my family after the destruction of our home and the lives of my family. Everything disappeared. We are out in the open. There is no home for us. I humbly ask you to help me I lost my close friends. I lost people in my family. Our house has been destroyed and there is no safe place to live.

‏Unfortunately, our home was bombed and destroyed during the initial events, causing severe psychological and physical damage to me and my family due to the catastrophic situation we are currently living in. My family and I are suffering from severe shortages of food, supplies and medical equipment, in addition to high prices that make it difficult to meet our basic needs. We cannot even access clean drinking water. The loss of our homeland has exacerbated our suffering, and our daily life has become a constant struggle for survival. The urgent need to leave Gaza

Given the current deteriorating situation, it is imperative for me and my family to leave Gaza as soon as possible once the Rafah border crossing with Egypt opens. I hope it will open soon, and we need to raise the necessary funds quickly to ensure our safe passage. The cost of exiting Gaza through the Rafah crossing is approximately $5,000 per person.

Please help Hamdi and His Family!

The following was written by Hamdi himself;

Hamdi used to run a modest shop, a place where he not only made a living but also built connections with his neighbors. It was more than just a business; it was a symbol of stability and hope in a region often plagued by turmoil.

However, seven months ago, everything changed. The war escalated, and Hamdi’s shop was destroyed in the crossfire. Forced to leave his home, Hamdi has had to move from place to place in the Gaza Strip, seeking safety wherever he could find it.

He has been evacuated more than seven times, with each move becoming more desperate than the last. He now finds himself living in a tent, with minimal access to food and water.

Above is Hamdi's shop before and after it was destroyed by the occupation.

In order to help Hamdi and his family evacuate into safety, they are trying to raise €20,000. So far, they've only raised €273 and their last donation was 12 hours ago.
